Sometimes, it's easy to get carried away and apply too much of a one cosmetic or another. Instead of removing everything, you can do a few simple fixes and save yourself the hassle.
The next time you put on too much of that blush or the shade you just bought turns out too dark, you can dust some loose translucent powder over the problem. Finish with a light sweep of powder over the rest of your face and blend until it works for you. If this happens to be a cream blush, you might try a dab of your moisturizer over it and blend well to even the mistake over. This little trick will give you a fresh wash of sheer color.
What also works for me is misting over my face with L'Bri Pure n' Natural Pure Radiance Hydrating Mist, (which you can currently win here + four more of their wonderful products) then dabbing gently with my fingertips or a tissue for an instant fix to smooth over everything for a fresher look.
Changing the color of your lipstick mistake is easy if you apply a lip balm or clear lip gloss first. Any garish or dark shade will become beautifully sheer and unrecognizable from the original one while keeping your lips also moisturized.
If you want to lighten up dark, smoky eyes, you just need to layer a lighter shade over that shadow. A shimmering taupe color is something I always use when I want to tone my eyes down a bit.
