My Treasured No Bake Candy-Cookies Recipe!

This recipe holds a special place in my heart every time I make it.  A few years ago, I was a bake sale and spotted these particular gems.  The lady behind the counter was thrilled that I was admiring her donation with those gleaming dark tops.  What she did not know was that these cookies looked like the ones I used to make until I lost my recipe.

I had tried other recipes, but they were not up to par compared to my old one.  These cookies need to firm up to become hard or they will fall apart when held.

We started talking.  Anyway, she was kind enough to give me her recipe and I got to take home two treats that day--her wonderful candy-cookies and that excellent recipe.

A few months later, I learned that this thoughtful young woman died.  Now every time that I make this recipe, I think of her and that unexpected bit of extra kindness she shared with me, a stranger.

And now, dear readers, I am forwarding that kindness of her delicious candy-cookies to you!  As you drop your cookies to the waxed paper, I hope you will think of her as well and remember that even the smallest act of kindness can have a rippling effect and spread, keeping a memory such as hers, alive forever.

No Bake Candy-Cookies

1/2 cup of margarine or 1 stick (not spread)
1/2 cup of milk
2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa
3/4 cup of peanut butter
3-1/2 cups of rolled old-fashioned oats (not the minute/quick oats)
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Boil the margarine, milk and sugar together for one minute to dissolve the sugar crystals.  Add the remaining ingredients to the margarine mixture.  Drop onto waxed paper.  Let it stand for about 45 minutes to harden completely.

Gourmet Gift Baskets Brownie Sampler Review and Giveaway!--Ends April 18, 2012

Gourmet Gift Baskets Brownie Sampler.jpeg
Gourmet Gift Baskets Brownie Sampler

The first time I ever worked with Gourmet Gift Baskets was in November when I reviewed one of their holiday gift baskets.  Until I was approached to do this review and giveaway, I was not aware that they produced fresh baked goods like this delicious assortment of brownies.

Their Gourmet Brownie Sampler has six varieties with two each.  They include the Peanut Butter Brownie (rich nutty taste merging with chocolate); Cheesecake Brownie (the perfect way to enjoy two dessert tastes in one); Belgian Chocolate Chunk Brownie (hefty pieces of chocolate heightening that scrumptious chocolate flavor even more); Fudge Walnut Brownie (chopped walnuts mingling with chocolate in just the right combination); and the Butterscotch Brownie (buttery smooth enjoyment in each bite); and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Blondie (white chocolate pieces and nut accent this already great blondie).

Once this box of brownies arrived, it did not last very long in my house.  My family attacked it like a pack of hungry wolves.  Everyone was made to break off pieces so we could all try each flavor.

And I must admit that it was difficult to decide which variety tasted the best. To tell the truth, it was a toss up between the Belgian Chocolate Chunk Brownie and Cheesecake Brownie.  However, this was our personal favorites--and yours could be different.

Thanks to Gourmet Gift Baskets, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the continental United States wins the same Gourmet Brownie Sampler except with six brownies (one of each flavor).

Immunocolgie Eye Repair Treatment Creme and Line Smoothing Treatment Serum Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Immunocolgie Eye Repair Treatment Creme.jpeg
Immunocolgie Eye Repair Treatment Creme
Immunocologie is a company you'll want to remember with their revolutionary line of anti-aging products.  What makes them unique is their Bioferm science method of keeping carefully selected active ingredients their most potent to most benefit the skin against the effects of aging and damage.

Due to this advanced bio-technical fermentation process, the products work with your immune system to repair and rejuvenate skin from within.  After reading the science, I had to see for myself what Immunocologie's line was like.  Fortunately, I got to work with the Eye Repair Treatment Creme and the Line Smoothing Treatment Serum for this review.

The first thing you notice when you remove the cardboard cylinder are the special violet glass containers to further preserve the integrity of the active ingredients in those products from sunlight.

Let me begin my experience with the Line Smoothing Treatment Serum.  Once I opened it, I did notice the product had a slight odor.  However, this smell quickly vanished upon application.   Although I haven't been using this product long,  I could hardly believe my eyes.  My complexion is getting a beautiful overhaul with improved tone and a glorious radiance to it and only after about two weeks!   Even a small mark left from a pimple is hardly visible now.   I'm seeing my fine lines are hardly apparent.

Immunocologie Line Smoothing Treatment Serum.jpeg
Immunocolgie  Line Smoothing Treatment Serum Review
Though slower, the more pronounced wrinkles at the sides of my cheeks while plumper, are improving also.   Nonetheless, they are filling in, which is exciting.  I am hopeful of what other results await with more time and further use of this serum.

The Eye Repair Treatment Creme was another gem.  This soothing rich cream that felt like silk when applied and was gentle enough for someone like me with allergies while providing a smooth base for eye makeup.  What I must say is after I've been using this product now is that I've been using less concealer to cover up my dark under eye circles.  Trust me, but my allergic shiners can give a raccoon competition to see whose rings are darker!  However, this eye cream is lightening the area to leave me with almost normal coloring.  Again, I only have been using this cream for close to two weeks and am already seeing amazing things.

From my personal experience, Immunocologie's line is amazing and I would LOVE to experiment and review more of their products.  The only pitfall that I see is price.   The Eye Repair Treatment Creme is $125 and the Line Smoothing Treatment Serum is $175.

Nonetheless, Immunocologie is the Cadillac anti-aging line!

Shielo Hair Care Antioxidant Leave in Protectant Review and Giveaway!--Ends April 17, 2012

Shielo Hair Care Antioxidant Leave in Protectant.jpeg
Shielo Hair Care Antioxidant Leave in Protectant
**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Think of all the abuse our hair takes from chemical processing to excessive heat from our styling tools.  As a result of trying to beautify, we often fry our hair into a mass of brittle crisps unless we have forethought and protect those vulnerable strands first.  One such way is with Shielo Hair Care's Antioxidant Leave in Protectant.

This certified organic spray with a host of pro-vitamins, proteins and amino acids penetrate deeply for a conditioning effect from shea butter as well as that important heat protection resulting from damaging styling tools and sun exposure, restoring shine and eliminating frizz.  White tea and a wheat crosspolymer in the formula help to safeguard color as well.

All you do is mist your freshly washed hair and then blow dry and do your styling routine as usual.  What I found was this product did increase shine and manageability.

I did really like this Shielo's Antioxidant Leave in Protectant and suggest looking into this product for yourself.

Thanks to Shielo, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the United States wins a full size 4 fl. oz. bottle of Shielo Antioxidant Leave In Hair Protectant ($19.99 value)!

MyBody Protect & Serve Tinted Sun Shield Moisturizer Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

MyBody Protect & Serve Tinted Sun Shield Moisturizer.jpeg
MyBody Protect & Serve Tinted Sun Shield Moisturizer

As the weather becomes hotter, I like to go lighter when it comes to cosmetics instead of clogging up my pores with heavier formulations.  One of the best ways to simplify your upcoming summer beauty routine is through a dual purpose tinted moisturizer with built in sun protection like MyBody's Protect & Serve Tinted Sun Shield with an SPF of 30.

MyBody is an exciting line of medical-grade skin care that can address a variety of skin problems that I have been testing lately.

Protect & Serve comes in one shade, which I had worried about since I have light skin until I had used it and found a nice glow.  What I have been discovering is this product provides enough sheer tinted coverage that hides imperfections with just enough color to smooth out your skin tone while keeping your face clean and guarded from the sun.

You can use this oil-free product alone or as a makeup primer if heavier coverage is what you're after.  Seriously though, I think you'll be satisfied enough with using this tinted moisturizer alone unless you suffer from a severe skin problem.

In a formula with vitamin D3, lycopenes, titanium oxide and zinc oxide among other beneficial ingredients, this silicone-based moisturizer glides on while keeping skin nourished and vigorously protected from UVA and UVB as it beautifies the complexion at the same!

Personally, I am impressed with Protect & Serve Tinted Sun Shield and this company.  This is the third product that I tried from MyBody and I definitely will be looking into more of their line!  If you also value the look of your skin, then I highly recommend checking out this product.

They even have a helpful online tool to help you determine the best skin care solutions for you.

*Disclaimer:  This is my own honest opinion.  No money was exchanged.  All I received was a free product to facilitate this review.*

Harvey Prince Hello, Ageless and Yogini fragrances.jpeg
Hello, Ageless and Yogini Eau de Toilette Sprays

Perhaps, you're stumped at what to give your mother this Mother's Day.  I have two words to solve that problem--Harvey Prince and their line of amazing natural fragrances with purpose like the trio I have for you today in this review and giveaway.

With scents like Ageless, you can help her feel younger.   Its notes are an inviting mix of pink grapefruit, pomegranate, luscious mango, with a dry down of jasmine and natural musk that work magic against the skin.

On the other hand, give her Yogini for peace of mind and relaxation.  Purifying sandalwood, golden amber touched with a beautiful combination of rose petals, blackcurrant buds, lily of the valley, star jasmine, and ylang-ylang softly delight with sweetness for an unbelievable feeling of inner joy, sparkling with freshness from pink grapefruit, cardamom, and Madagascar vanilla that sweeps you away to a pleasant place.

Then again, you could always give her their new Hello, a perfect way to spread happiness through this upbeat fresh scent that is becoming one of my new fragrance obsessions!  If you could bottle the scent of a smile, then this Harvey Prince blend would be it.

Imagine fresh Meyer lemon, white grapefruit and Satsuma mandarin against a sea of blooming pink plumeria and summer forsythia for sweetness for new beginnings balanced with wild verbena, Tahitian vanilla and warm sensual musk and you have the perfect way to lift spirits with a gift of perpetual spring and sunshine.  What could be better and a more thoughtful way to celebrate her than with a scent like Hello?

Then again, I'm a big fan of Harvey Prince and could suggest some of their other scents that could thrill mom just as easily only in different ways.   No joke, I do love their exquisite fragrances for how they make me feel.  Furthermore, it pleases me to no end knowing this line is natural and free of any harmful ingredients.

Secrets to a Perfect Blowout and Fabulous Hair!

*Disclaimer:  I received monetary compensation to write this post on behalf of ghd.  The views and opinions expressed are strictly my own.*

Katy Perry ghd air dryer advertising.jpeg
Katy Perry for ghd

Though we can’t all look as beautiful as stunning international recording artist, Katy Perry, we can have just as glamorous hair as she does.  With technique, the right products, and a great professional iconic blow dryer like the new ghd air dryer to impart shine and control, we too can be on our way to beauty stardom.

Recognized for innovative styling tools, ghd rocks just as much as the singer, winning one perpetual beauty award after another since this British company began.  The new ghd air dryer is a culmination of their ten years of expertise that will wow consumers with its performance to outshine their competitors with advanced technology to ergonomic design.

Now that you know what you need for beautiful hair, there are some simple tricks that stylists use to turn your hair from flat and ordinary to one full of gleaming bounce and volume as well.

Look at your choice of shampoo and conditioner and make sure that they are formulated for your hair type.  Just because the bottles are handy in your shower and you borrow them expecting striking results will not happen if the product weighs down your hair or, perhaps, is too light to smooth thick, curls prone to frizz.

Instead of grabbing a towel to roughly dry your wet hair before you apply your styling products and blow dryer, think again.  This seemingly innocent action can damage fragile hair and cause breakage and a frizz problem.  What you can do is press the towel gently to the hair to absorb some of the moisture first before adding some smoothing serum for gloss and heat protection.

Avoid reaching for your round brush at this point.  A better way is to use one hand to fluff your hair while the other is holding your blow dryer on a medium heat.  Those with tons of curls or thick hair may need a higher setting, which is no problem for the variable power and temperature controls of the 2,100 watt ghd air dryer.   Keep working and combing through sections of your wet hair, blowing until the area is damp dry and ready for your styling product.

Next apply your styling product.  All you need is a small amount (about the size of a nickel) to work through your hair.  Remember, you can always add more, but too much can ruin your hair with tacky stickiness and turn it flat from a product buildup.

This is the stage when it's safe to reach for your round brush and a few long alligator clips.  Section your hair in two places with your clips.  Work on the hair around your face first.  Release a small amount of hair from one of your clips and tightly wrap it around your brush, pulling down and  aiming your blow dryer set on hot with the nozzle attached.  Maintain the tension and while the hair is still slightly damp and switch to the cool shot like on the ghd air dryer to lock in the hold.

Keep using this technique of pulling small portions of hair from the clip and following the same procedure.

As you finish each worked on dried piece, you can gently twist the hair and pin with those long clips.  By the time you're through drying, you can remove those clips to gain some added free-flowing curl.  This works best for those with long hair.  Those with short hair may want to skip this twist and clip method unless you want an edgy look.

Behold, now you know the secret so you can come out of your pond and swim with the big fish to make waves of your own!

Try My Zesty Homemade Italian Salad Dressing Recipe!

Save yourself some money and still enjoy the same great taste of bottled Italian Dressing with my recipe that I have for you today.  The herbs in this liven up the flavor perfectly without being overly sweet or sour.

This recipe is easy to prepare ahead of time and store in your refrigerator for later.  I like to whip up a small batch at a time because it's simple enough instead of lingering too long in the refrigerator.

Instead of discarding an empty 48-oz. plastic peanut butter jar, I like to wash them to reuse for assembling the ingredients and later storing the dressing in the refrigerator.  Do let the herbs in this dressing blend together for at least an hour in your refrigerator before serving to really heighten the flavor. When you're ready to serve the salad, all you need to do is to shake that closed filled jar and pour.

Toss your empty clean jar into the recycle bin or put it aside for next time.   Whatever you decide, I do hope you will make this recipe because it is the best Italian salad dressing recipe that I have ever run across.

My Zesty Italian Salad Dressing

1 cup of olive oil or canola oil
1 cup of wine vinegar or white vinegar (both taste delicious)
4 large cloves of garlic, minced fine
1 tablespoon of salt
1/2  tablespoon of sugar
1/2  tablespoon of finely ground black pepper
1/2  tablespoon of oregano leaves
1/2  tablespoon of basil
1/2  tablespoon of dry mustard

Clean and mince your garlic.  Mix everything together and store in the refrigerator covered at least one hour to blend the flavors together.

Bring Them to the Table With My Feather Light Dinner Rolls Recipe!

Feather Light dinner rolls.jpeg
My Feather Light Dinner Rolls are delectable!

I once had a mailman that said my house had the best aromas on the street.  He even invited himself once to sample what I was baking because he couldn't resist that tempting smell escaping through my open screen door.   That particular summer day I happened to be baking my  incredibly light dinner rolls recipe.

Although these are a bit of extra work to roll and shape than just loaves of bread or buns, I do like to make them on occasion.  However, I warn you these are much too delicious to make too often unless you possess fantastic willpower.  Otherwise, you just might land up eating more than you intended!

My Feather Light Dinner Rolls

3 to 4 cups of sifted all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon or package of dry yeast
1/2 cup of very warm water (not hot)
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of canola oil or margarine (not spread)
1 egg

Test the temperature of your water on your wrist so it's very warm, (but not hot) as you would do for a baby bottle.  Add a tablespoon of the sugar to that water along with yeast.  By doing so, you will help speed along the yeast because it will start bubbling sooner.

Heat your milk and oil or margarine and warm.  (Be careful that the liquid is not too hot in temperature because it will ruin the flour with lumps.  If what you're heating gets to hot be sure to allow it time to cool first.)

In a large mixing bowl, add one cup of flour, salt, remaining one tablespoon of sugar, the egg, and the yeast water.  Beat these ingredients with your electric mixer until thoroughly combined.  Add the warmed milk and flour to dry ingredients in your bowl.  Using a wooden spoon works best at this stage instead of the electric mixer.

Gradually add more of the flour until the dough becomes soft and doesn't stick to your fingers.

Turn the dough onto a  lightly floured surface and knead until the dough is smooth and pliable.  Shape into a ball and return to your mixing bowl.  Grease the top of the dough and cover with a towel or a lid from one of your pots and set aside in a warm place.  Let this dough grow for about an hour and a half.

Grease two cookie sheets.  Punch your dough down and then turn out onto a floured surface.  Form four balls and roll out each out into a circle about 1/2-inch thick.  Cut each circle into fourths.  Roll each cut piece from the fatter end and place on your sheet.  You should get about 24 small rolls.

Let these shaped rolls grow for at least another hour first before baking at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Unbreakable Bond Perfume by Khloe Kardashian Odom and Lamar Odom Review and Giveaway! (2 Winners!)--April 13, 2012

Unbreakable Bond Perfume by Khloe Kardashian Odom and Lamar Odom.jpeg
Unbreakable Bond Perfume by Khloe Kardashian Odom and Lamar Odom

Another famous Kardashian to hit the fragrance arena is Kim's sister, Khloe and her equally recognized NBA sports figure husband, Lamar Odom of the LA Lakers with their Unbreakable Bond  fragrance of 2011.  This unisex fruity-floral gourmand will pleasantly surprise you with a beautiful composition of notes that play up nicely as it warms, regardless of male or female skin.

This scent opens with a lively freshness with citrus from Italian bergamot, clementine, and green apple that will capture your attention.  The heart is where this fragrance turns a different  floral-gourmand direction with African Geranium, jasmine, lily of the valley escaping from a base of dark chocolate, red fruit, Tonka bean, and vanilla to power it up with a sexy deliciousness about it that lingers in your mind.  As the fragrances dries down and heats to cozy warmth from the Texas cedar wood and saffron, Unbreakable Bond becomes as soft and comfy as cashmere.

The glass bottle is also exquisite in design.  The cap is flat across and curves at sharp angles at both sides as it meets the bottle.  This treasure will be an elegant addition to your vanity or dressing table.

With all sincerity, I believe this is a very amazing, sexy fragrance that either sex would be happy to own.  Like a blissful, shared bond,  this scent is balanced to perfection with just enough masculine notes to compliment the feminine ones for a loving timeless harmony that lingers and haunts.

Ecko's UNLTD. Fragrance for Men by Marc Ecko.jpeg
Ecko's UNLTD. Fragrance for Men by Marc Ecko
I was lured in by the compelling fresh scent of UNLTD. (short for Unlimited) fragrance by designer, Marc Ecko and Parlux Fragrances immediately.  This second fragrance for men that came out spring, 2011 is so appealing in almost a unisex sort of way that you may be tempted to share or use this eau de toilette for yourself!

This scent has a youthful energy and drive about it that is bursting with passion and life.  Water mint and luscious melons provide a cooling balance to fresh figs and the citrus tang of Italian lemon for a very clean and green rush to the senses.  Once the heart opens, rosemary and lavender compete with a spicy floral-citrus smell of Neroli and soft suede, warming giving it a seductive quality.  The scent dries down and deepens with robust cashmere and cedar woods, moss, and haunting musk to complement this captivating new fragrance.

My guy loved wearing UNLTD. and I loved the smell of him in it.  This is not one of those choking fragrances for men that you want to leave the room when he enters because it suffocates you with heavy he-man type of fumes.  UNLTD. has that incredible freshness and then later that soft warmth of seduction that only pulls you into the spell it creates.

Men, trust me, this is a perfect spring scent that the woman in your life will definitely find irresistible.  Personally, I am nuts about UNLTD. with the exhilarating way it takes hold of your senses.

Nonetheless, be good to your man and get him a bottle so you can enjoy him in it.  I highly recommend it!

Headline Shirts Review and T-Shirt Giveaway!--Ends April 10, 2012

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Headline Shirts IT Could Be Butter T-Shirt.jpeg
Headline Shirts IT Could Be Butter T-Shirt.
Sometimes, the only way to survive in this world is to laugh at it.   Since 2004, San Francisco- based clothing company Headline Shirts take themes in the news and pop culture to turn out fun T-shirts that reflect the world we live in with humor and wild imagination from their awesome collection of T-shirts and hoodies for men and women to attract attention, bring out a chuckle, or poke fun at life like what I selected for my guy.

For this review and giveaway, I thought it would be appropriate to get my guy the It Could Be Worse T-shirt.   I just knew once he read the front, he would wear this every opportunity he had to stir up some friends and others while getting them thinking at the same time.

The quality of this T-shirt was very nice in 60% cotton and 40% polyester and arrived in record speed.

I just couldn't resist ordering him that particular shirt in heather, the grey color and watching his face when he saw it hanging in the closet.  He laughed so hard after reading the words, and I can only guess at the mischief he plans to create with his new shirt.  Although he loved the comfort of this new, lightweight T-shirt since it was ideal for the warm weather, he wished the company put out another T-Shirt saying It Could Be Better!

If you want something fun, perhaps, or you just want to make a statement, I think you need to visit Headline Shirts and check their site out.   Now save $5.00 on your order if you sign up for their newsletter!

Thanks to Headline Shirts, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the United States or Canada wins a free product code, (which includes shipping) to select a choice of their favorite T-shirt ($25 value).

Twisted Orchid Handbag Review and Giveaway!--Ends April 9, 2012

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Twisted Orchid Black Doc Supreme Handbag.jpeg
Twisted Orchid Black Doc Supreme Handbag

Just like any fantastic piece of jewelry, shoes, or belt, the perfect handbag can add interest and texture to give an outfit a special stylish touch like the beautiful selection from Twisted Orchid.  This Chicago-based company has been getting lots of attention and fashion praise from top national publications such as Woman's Day, Redbook, and People Style Watch for their exciting collection of trend-setting handbags.

And what a fabulous assortment of stylish hobos, clutches, eco totes, shell handbags, taffetta silk purses, really lightweight bags of their Mad Air line, and even unique handbags with a separate and washable compartment to carry an extra pair of shoes in their Hidden Soles variety to choose from.

Although it was a difficult decision with all those awesome choices, I finally selected the Black Doc Supreme Handbag or myself for this review and giveaway.  This roomy, soft leather like bag with fancy gold details looked way more expensive than the $72 it sells for.  Another nice feature is the zippered closure for safety unlike those unsecured flaps or magnetic closures.  What else I liked very much was the fact this bag had gold feet to keep it cleaner at the bottom.

Inside this brown cloth lined bag, it has another smaller zippered compartment  as well as two open pockets.  You can change from hand held to adding the accompanying shoulder strap, which was another fantastic feature of this particular bag.

I couldn't be more thrilled with my new Twisted Orchid Black Doc Supreme handbag.  While this is one of the highest priced bags, the company has lots of fun and a less expensive selection of handbags as well plus other accessories to glam you with feather extensions, jewelry, scarves and bandanas to help you make that all important fashion statement.

Right now, the company is offering a 20% discount off any Twisted Orchid purchase when you enter the code TWISTED at checkout in addition to FREE SHIPPING within the continental United States!  Their company has a fully operational shopping cart built in on Facebook!

Thanks to Twisted Orchid, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the continental United States win their choice of a Twisted Orchid handbag valued up to $75.00

Simple Skincare Smoothing Facial Scrub Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Simple Skincare Smoothing Facial Scrub Review.jpeg
Simple Skincare Smoothing Facial Scrub Review
I had never tried any of the line of sensitive skin care products from Simple Skincare until this review when I was provided with the Smoothing Facial Scrub to try out.

Packed with pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E, this scrub uses rice granules as the exfoliating agent without dyes, artificial perfumes or known irritants. The granules are rough textured and just enough to remove dead skin cells on a daily basis without being too rough for sensitive skin.

In my opinion, I liked how gentle Simple's Smoothing Facial Scrub was to stimulate facial circulation while leaving a nice glow behind.  However, if you're looking at this scrub to rub out deep acne scars, then this is an unrealistic expectation since this scrub wasn't designed as such with harsh abrasion.

Normally, I use a scrub about once or twice a week.  On the other hand, I have been using Simple's product every day without any undue irritation from overuse.

I happen to like this scrub and will continue using it.  If you're considering daily exfoliating, you might also like to pick up a tube of this scrub to keep you pretty without causing redness.

This Weekend Make My No Work Egg Custard Pie Recipe!

No Work Custard Pie.jpeg
My No Work Egg Custard Pie is simple and so delicious!

My weekend tradition happens to be baking some delicious goodie.  This egg custard pie recipe that I have for you is one of the easiest pies ever.  This is one of those comfort foods that will make you forget your troubles.  Once you dig in and savor that creamy, but firmer than a pudding texture that is lightly accented with vanilla and nutmeg, you soon find yourself in a very happy place.

All that is involved is throwing together a pie crust like my no fail oil pie crust and then mixing the custard ingredients and pour into that unbaked shell. No top crust is needed.  I do hope you will try these recipes because they really are extra good.

You can use own favorite pie crust recipe to fit a ten-inch pie pan.  However, this oil pie dough is the ONLY one that I use these days because of how simple, failproof, and flakey the pie crust is.

My No Work Egg Custard Pie

5 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
3 cups of milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Prepare your crust first before you work on the custard filling.  Place your crust in a greased 10-inch pie pan.

In your large mixing bowl, beat the eggs first with your electric mixer.  Then add the remaining ingredients and beat thorough.

Pour your custard liquid into the waiting shell.  Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes and then reduce your oven temperature to 350 degrees for about 30 more minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
