Monavé Mineral Makeup Review and Giveaway!--Ends April 2, 2012

Every time I work with Monavé Mineral Makeup I end up falling in love more with their exquisite products.  Their beautiful shades and healthier formulations last throughout the day and always seem to bring on the compliments like the ones I want to share here with you today with this review and giveaway.  

Let me start by telling you about two of their exciting new versatile eye shadows.  The Smoky Opal Versatile Powder is a stunning cloud of silver-gray smoke with pink and violet shimmering to rev it up with an electric intensity.  When I requested this shade, I had thought it was more of a highlight color, however, this is best used for the crease or lid itself.  Furthermore, I couldn't be happier with it.

Violet Violation Versatile Powder  is bright, bold, and ready to rock.   Together, this was a perfect duo when blended just so for a fun, edgy look or smudge more for a sheerer wash of that striking reddish-pink violet for a different daytime look.

I already have the Ultra-Matte Eyeshadow in Eggplant Light #104 (a pale pink) and the Dark #106 (a deep purple).  However, I wanted to see what the medium shade would look like.  The Ultra-Matte Eyeshadow in Eggplant Medium #105 was a gorgeous, muted lavender-plum that played up brown eyes like a dream.  For a different effect, I applied the Smoky Opal (last one in the photo on the right) with the Eggplant Medium (the one in the photo on the left with the black lid) and was really thrilled with the result.   

The Body Shimmer in Gold #07 throws a gleaming gold trail of light wherever you wish to apply it to like cleavage, shoulders or even cheeks.  

Next, I had fun with Buff Apricot Pearlescent Blush #200.  This peachy-beige color will wake up your cheeks with natural healthy radiance.  Think of the multiple shades of a fresh ripe peach only to wear instead of eating! 

The Semi-Matt Merlot Blush #219 (In the photo below, this is the top blush in the middle row with the Buff Apricot blush beneath it) was what I played with next.  This is another Monavé winner that I so adored.  Imagine plum, wine, and pink light for a soft gleam of a blush.  Although it looks darker in the container, this realistic color was perfect for someone like me with a lighter complexion.  This blush looked fantastic with the purple eye shadows.

I choose an Illuminizer in Radiant #403. (In the photo above, the Illuminizer is the top one on the right with the Gold Body Shimmer below). This topped my cheeks with a sheer subtle glow of warmth of a delicate beige-copper.  I dusted some over my cheeks wearing both of my new blushes, blended again, and it highlighting my cheekbones so beautifully the way it directed attention to bring out those bones.  Even alone this illuminizer seems to soar in and draw the attention to your cheeks in a way you cannot imagine.

I've been raving about Monavé's superior line of lip products.  No joke, I sincerely mean this when I say their lipsticks and glosses are simply one of the best for staying, comfort, conditioning those lips, and not to mention that incredible colors like Sienna Glossy Lipstick #85, the Matt Lipstick in Chocolate-Rose #150, and the Liquid Lip Gloss in Sugar Plum, #98. 

The Sienna Glossy Lipstick #85 was a brilliant sheer red-orange with gold gleam that went so well with the Buff Apricot Blush.  My lips looked juicy with a delicious nectar that is a perfect spring shade to make your mouth bloom with shimmering pale red-orange color.

The Matt Lipstick in Chocolate-Rose #150 looks way darker in the tube than on your lips.  This shade is a perky light red-brown that is versatile and easy to wear. (In the last photo, it is the tube on the left.  Sienna is in the middle and Sugar Plum as the last tube).

The Liquid Lip Gloss in Sugar Plum #98 is a dusky plum that looks very natural.  You'll love the softness of this subdued plum with pink and mauve tones.  I especially thought it looked wonderful with those purple eye shadows and the Merlot blush.

Lastly, I tried the Vegan Rose Daily Moisture Cream.  This formula made my skin feel petal-soft and comfortable.  This was ideal for keeping my loose mineral foundation and blush in place so much longer almost like makeup primer.

You probably think I'm exaggerating when I continually praise Monavé products, but I sincerely mean what I say because they are special and, indeed, worthy of that praise and your makeup dollars.  If you haven't tried any of award-winning Monavé Mineral Makeup yet, then you are seriously missing out!
