Today is for Remembering Fallen Heroes

Memorial Day is a day to honor all the fallen soldiers that laid down their lives in service of the military for our country.  Though we cannot bring back those heroes or help grieving families deal with their loss, we should remember their sacrifice because words of thanks are simply not enough.

Therefore, each of us should take a moment to pay tribute to their memories before going about that planned picnics or pool parties.  Whether you plan on starting the day by attending a community parade or displaying our flag or visiting the cemetery to lay flowers, wreaths, or plant flags at the graves, just be grateful that because of them that you and your loved ones live on due to what these brave souls gave up.

Take care, dear readers, and stay safe on the roads.  Being a holiday, we will be taking the day off.  Nuts 4 Stuff will be back to normal operation tomorrow.  See you then!

Agreed. I know a lot of people have BBQs or get-togethers, and that's fine. But take a minute to remember those who have died. (And it's not just those who died from the military-we always decorated family graves on Memorial Day, too. So, remember those in the military who have passed, & the family that came before you, too.)
