Nothing can bring more holiday magic to your look than what a delicate golden sheen can bring  to your face. That metallic luster of gold as it lights up whatever skin that it touches adds a striking luminosity regardless of your coloring.

A gilded look for your eyes, nails, and cheeks go hand in hand with festive celebrations like holiday parties. Getting gilded can speak volumes to make sure all eyes are directed at you with how the perfect metallic gold can make you shine.

You might want to start that glowing transformation with Laura Geller’s Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey ($26)  that their company surprised me with.  This disc of fine, metallic-flecked highlighting powder packs a soft, golden luster that adds something sensational to your look with its warm, jewel-like glow.

According to the website, this illuminator is meant to feel like a cream.  This is a finely milled powder that feels silky enough to cling to the fingers when touched from its moister consistency, though I wouldn’t necessarily go that far in comparing it to a cream.

The brush you use determines the amount and extent of coverage that you get. You could use a fan-brush to help disperse the pigment, but I found using a smaller one, like a dome-shaped eye shadow brush gives more control to direct that light where you need.  A larger brush will pick up more of the pigment.  With the smaller brush, you can always add more pigment, which is better than using too much. After all, you don’t want to look like a golden statue, which can happen if that brush picks up too much pigment.

As to wear, I had it on from early morning until after dinner when I tested it the first time and it still was there.
If you’re looking for a great illuminator, you got to try Laura Geller’s Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey because it plays up your features in an unbelievable way.  Take my advice, do get gilded because you’ll love it!
