A beauty staple that every woman needs to assure her makeup appears flawless is the right face primer. If you are trying to limit the chemicals in your life and are gravitating toward vegan brands and natural skin care, then you would be interested to hear about the latest one I sampled with Mineral Fusion’s Hydrating Primer.

This nourishing formula is extremely kind to any complexion with its bounty of natural antioxidants for anti-aging, including collagen boosting peptides for help with fine lines.  It also has mineral water for hydration as well as botanicals like aloe, lavender, thyme and rosemary to calm as it works to form a protective film before makeup.  This is a gentle, 100% vegan primer that is free of parabens, phthalates, artificial color or gluten.

The product is a silky emulsion that seemed to glide over the skin, smoothing and evening out tone and texture in the process.  My dry skin loved how moisturizing it felt as it tweaked tiny imperfections so my foundation seemed more a natural part of me, instead of something out of a bottle.

My makeup looked fresh all day as I wore this primer. Not once did it ever cake up on me.  Someone with oily skin may feel differently, but with my dry complexion I never had any greasiness or shine problems with this one.

I have been relying more and more on Mineral Fusion products because I know that I can trust their purity after each new one I test and add to my growing list of their fine green skin care products and cosmetics.

When you are running short of a face primer, I do recommend visiting Whole Foods or Mineral Fusion’s website for this Hydrating Primer or the Illuminating Primer, which I reviewed at an earlier time, or check out the other varieties that might suit your complexion even better.

I always wondered what a primer was for, so thanks for letting me know. This sounds like a really nice product to use. Good review!
