What to Look for When Buying a Deep Conditioner for Your Hair!

Regardless of using a chemical process such as hair coloring, perming, or straightening or not, we still may be mistreating our hair through blow-drying or curling with hot styling tools unless you always remember to apply a thermal protecting product.  Even so, your hair is not immune from damage.  The weather also affects the condition of your hair.

The extreme cold that we’re experiencing now in the winter increases the problems from static electricity in the hair to more dry frizz and split ends.  On the other hand, excessive summer sun and can fry the hair and further damage to the point it feels as dry and brittle as a haystack.

To keep your hair in optimum condition, you should play it safe with a deep conditioner at least once a month even if you use a rinse-out daily conditioner. However, you need  to know what ingredients are the most helpful for coating and sealing the hair cuticle to prevent snapping.

When you read the product’s label, look for formulas that have proteins such as keratin,  quats like cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride and silicones such as amodimethicone.

An excellent green formula is the one that I am using right now with Keune’s So Pure Moisturizing Treatment for hair.  It has wheat protein (protein), amodimethicone (silicone), and the cetearyl alcohol behentrimonium chloride (biodegradable quat).

Also, remember to enter the Keune So Pure Moisturizing Hair Care Five Assortment of Products Giveaway because you might be lucky enough to win it as well.

Stay beautiful and I hope you keep this advice in mind.
