Try My Homemade Insomnia Relief Cocktail for Those Bad Nights!

Instead of turning to pills for those times when sleep seems impossible, I have found a juicer can often work much better.  You can release a bounty of natural healing power just by using the  fresh vegetables and fruits, which are concentrated and delivered instantly.

If you do have a juicer, then I suggest washing some celery and throwing a bunch in for a glass a relief.  Being high in magnesium, this one vegetable will help you relax.  In addition, celery has vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and essential amino acids.

Try not to add to many of the leaves or your drink will be too bitter.  You can always save those leaves for a pot of soup, casserole, hamburger, turkey burgers, bean patties, etc.

Make enough only to drink at once.  Storing a fresh juice in the refrigerator can cause a loss of the vitamins and minerals that you need for your body.

A raw celery drink is also great for calming effects when too stressed out.  The stems are full of B1, B2, and B6 to help with anxiety.

However, if you have kidney problems, an overabundance of celery is not advised.
