Those perfumistas on your holiday gift list would no doubt be pleased with some Flower power such as what I discovered when exploring this enchanting fragrance trio that recently arrived at my door.  Drew Barrymore’s Flower Love the Way You Feel trio of Eau de Parfum Rollerball Set features fresh to spicy floral notes in each of these romantic scents of Cherished, Radiant and Sultry. 

Cherished is a very feminine and graceful floral in the soft approach this fragrance takes.  The scent opens brightly with chords of morning dew, cassis and Italian lemon like an ode to the perfect Summer morning after a long Winter’s nap.  It is a fresh, innocent awakening in how those notes play off of each other. As the floral notes of iris petals, cabbage rose and lily of the valley warm in the heart, you are immediately taken in by the beauty of this fragrance that wants to romantically sweep you away with its hidden promises.  By the time it dries down in the base with Tahitian vanilla, cotton-musk and sandalwood, it becomes creamy and softly seductive.  The result is a powdery, intriguing floral that is quite alluring. 

Radiant is a light burst of fresh floral with woodsy notes that can fill your heart with joy.  The fragrance opens with sparkling notes of dewy greens against crisper, watery notes of calone and Italian bergamot. As it further develops in the heart with the notes of cabbage rose, pink peony and magnolia, the floral becomes sharper, almost frosted over with ice by the calone. Then it slowly melts in the base with crystal musk, pink amber and white wood to do the job.  At this stage, the notes smoke deliciously together, adding both velvety warmth and a hint mystery to this memorable bouquet.

The last is Sultry, a fruity-floral mix brimming with berries, woods and bit of spice and vanilla to give it a magnetic hold over the senses.  With top notes of plum, pink pepper and cranberry, there is a sweet excitement that seems to shake the blend to life. From how this fragrance warms in the heart with notes of night-blooming jasmine, cashmeran and blackberry, it becomes wickedly enticing. Yet as it dries down in the base with notes of Madagascar vanilla, musk and heady patchouli, this fragrance is haunting and sexy appeal.

Lady Gaga’s Fame Eau de Parfum Review

This is a bold, but sexy fragrance.

Lady Gaga’s first fragrance, Fame launched Fall, 2012 from her own The Haus Laboratories Paris and in conjunction with Coty Beauty.  Just as theatrical as the singer herself, this fruity floral is meant to be just as boldly shocking as the performer on stage to attract attention.

This fragrance is about walking on the wild side and the price of her stardom both sweet and glorious as well as the dark, destructive aspect of fame. Thus, the color choice of the perfume of black for the liquid (that does change to clear on the skin), symbolizing the dark side of her pop stardom to the gold detailing and cap that represents the light side, sweetness and allure associated with it.

Fame is based on three accords so it comes off differently with a “push-pull” sort of effect than utilizing top, middle, and base notes.  The dark accord is composed of the Belladonna notes, and the sensual accord consists of the honey, saffron, and apricot notes, and the light accord covering the Tiger Orchid notes to create it.

Though I do not find Fame as cheap or outrageous as I was led to believe, I do feel this fragrance is quite unique and mystifying with how the fruit, floral, spice, and musk merge almost at once as it seductively plays against the skin.  There is a mild sweetness from the honey and saffron that has been kept in check by the apricot, but I would label this more of an oriental floral than a fruity-floral due to how the belladonna weaves through this fragrance to intensify the floral. And yet, the incense adds to its intriguing allure and sultriness due to those deep musky tones.

If you like a floral fragrance steeped in mystery, I think you would enjoy Lady Gaga’s Fame for yourself or give as a holiday gift.  The 3.4 oz. eau de parfum retails for $79. Do check this one out.

Academy Award-winning actress, Halle Berry's sixth fragrance for Coty Beauty that recently hit store shelves this 2013 is a bouquet of dainty floral beauty.  This fragrance is fresh but not overly sweet with a lovely air about it that is whimsical as well as enchanting.

Exotic Jasmine opens with notes of the violet leaf and airy cyclamen.  The mix is so soft that it is almost floating as it encounters the neroli, washing that sheerness with freshness. 

Jasmine sambac, plumeria blossom and fluid hedione are the notes that cause this joyous awakening in the heart.  Swirling around each other, those floral notes unfold with beauty of romance and sweetness.

Unknowingly, this fragrance has the power to innocently seduce at the same time from notes of white cedar, soft vetiver, and skin musk as it dries down in the base.

The longevity of this fragrance can last for several hours before you will want to reapply.  

This is a gentle floral that can bewitch any floral fragrance lover.  I do recommend looking into Exotic Jasmine.  You can find it at Kohl's, drug stores, or Halle Berry Fragrances.

A Fragrance That Will Have You Ruling His Heart--Katy Perry's NEW Killer Queen Eau de Parfum Spray Review and ($59) Giveaway!--Ends October 31, 2013

Superstar singer, Katy Perry, recently launched a third perfume in conjunction with Coty.  Just as exciting and unpredictable as the stunning songstress in the flesh, Killer Queen, created with the perfumer, Laurent Le Guernec, is a dynamic fruity-floral gourmand with a wild spirit that fires up, captivating you in its delicious warmth and burning with more of a mature seductive appeal than her previous fragrances.

The top fruity notes are playful and bright.  You can sense the energy immediately with juicy bergamot accords until teasing begins once the notes of wild berries and dark plum emerge adding richness to this sweet fragrance.

With romantic heart notes of velvety red flowers (Celosia), jasmine and Plumeria, Killer Queen becomes creamier as it warms  The floral notes sprinkle a powdery softness over the lush fruits that is beautiful with its delicate cover, waiting for the proper time to make an entrance.

The base notes of cashmere, patchouli, and liquid praline lend an enticing sophistication to this composition as they begin to seduce.  You feel the fanning flames as the fragrance begins to dry down, drawing you helplessly to that burning heat as it rages until you are made its prisoner and consumed with desire.

Don't think that Killer Queen is another celebrity fragrance with nothing special to offer or even vaguely close to Katy Perry's other two fruity-floral perfumes.  That assumption would be a mistake.  This complicated fragrance is seductive and an intriguing scent with class and style that will surprise you as much as it will delight you.

I loved the warmth and spicy aspects of Killer Queen, which is even more enjoyable to wear especially now with colder weather.  The only thing I find wrong about this perfume revolves around the red-ruby shaped bottle with its own golden pedestal.  You won't be able to stand this bottle upright.

The 100 ml of Killer Queen Eau de Parfum Spray retails for $59.  It also comes in the 15 ml, 30 ml, or 50 ml.  Do check this one out!

My Current Sweet Fragrance Addiction--NEW Pure Honey Eau de Parfum Spray by Kim Kardashian (Review)

Gorgeous celebrity, Kim Kardashian's sixth fragrance that launched September 2013 has to be one of her best so far.  With perfumer, Claude Dir, Pure Honey is a beautiful reflection of femininity and love.  This floral gourmand is extraordinary with its softness and will captivate you from the start once its velvety aroma of roses and wild honeycomb wraps itself around you with its comforting warmth. 

This fragrance opens elegantly with top notes of heady red roses and soft freesia giving way to sparkling mandarin.  That sweet floral rush is taking over your senses with sheer bliss and yet you are tingling with anticipation from that burst of juicy citrus.  

The heart is where you become a part of the romance as those notes of sugared honeysuckle and lady orchids merge.  Together those two notes warm until they beat in perfect unison.  

As the fragrance dries down, Pure Honey is layered with tempting notes of creamy coconuts, raw wild honeycomb infused with vanilla against sultry musk that give a powdery quality to the fragrance, only to invite sweet seduction.

In my opinion, Pure Honey is one of my favorites from Kim Kardashian's line so far--and I have honestly loved them all.  This one is not overly sugary sweet, but has such a  delicate balance of floral to those sweet notes that gives it an irresistible cozy feeling with a sensual update.  

I highly recommend Pure Honey Eau de Parfum Spray by Kim Kardashian because it is a fragrance you should experience. The 3.4 oz. Eau de Parfum retails for $68.   Do check this one out at Kardasian Fragrance and I know that you will thank me later.

Discover the Many Dimensions of Heidi Klum's Surprise Eau de Toilette Spray! (Review)

Heidi Klum's Surprise Eau de Toilette Spray

Just as vibrant and full of life as the stunning beauty, supermodel celebrity behind its inspiration, Heidi Klum's Surprise, the fourth fragrance in her line in conjunction with Coty, is a fruity-floral bursting with energy, fun, and underlying temptation that recently launched February 2013.

The opening notes are brisk to grab your attention from citrus mandarin against the pink peppercorn.  Soon, however, that wash of bright, sparkling perkiness meets the magnolia and rose in the heart, providing an alluring sheer sweetness.  The more the fragrance evolves and warms, the creamier this romantic scent becomes.  In the base, this luscious floral creaminess is perfected when those notes of sandalwood and benzoin kick in to pull the mix in so seductively together for almost a powdery aroma.

I really liked the unpredictable sides in this gorgeous fruity-floral and the beautiful way all those notes came together.  Furthermore, Surprise had a wonderful longevity, which also endeared it to me. 

The only small criticism I have revolves around the open strip of plastic that makes up the cap for the pink, black, and gold adorned glass flacon bottle.  A closed cover would have been preferable.  Other than that, I think this fragrance is a wonderful addition to any perfumistas' collection. 

Those especially fond of a clean, but modern fruity-floral, I think you need to look into Surprise Eau de Toilette because it is a delight!

A Scented Declaration of Love--Unbreakable Joy Eau de Toilette by Khloe and Lamar Review

Unbreakable Joy

Bubbling with excitement and that hot tension of desire, you can feel the love between then still married celebrity couple, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, which comes through their second unisex fragrance, Unbreakable Joy.  This haunting oriental vanilla scent launched for the winter 2012 holiday season.

This fragrance is as much of a celebration as it is a declaration of love.  Effervescent top notes of champagne provide sparkling freshness and that happy electricity shared between the couple.  

The heart is romantic and playful.  Jasmine and geranium at this stage served with tempting chocolate and vanilla, deliciously turning the scent warm besides creamy with an intimate coziness with fresh spices for teasing fun. 

Unbreakable Joy

Cedar and sensual musk in the base fire up that heat.  What is burning with hot passion nearly becomes combustible with desire.  There is no holding back once those seductive flames rage out of control.  With those notes, you definitely feel that heat and loose yourself willingly to that luring fire.

I liked how the warmth and creaminess Unbreakable Joy lingered to hold its own.    In my opinion,  I really thought it was an excellent effort on the couple's part of how they incorporated their feelings for one another in this fragrance. 

In comparison, Unbreakable Bond, is somewhat a fresher, clean sweet scent to its warm notes while their third fragrance, Unbreakable Love, has a dewier freshness to it. Truth is told, all three of those scents are gorgeous in their own respective right and I love to interchange them depending on my mood.  

You just need to choose whether you prefer your fragrance with more warmth or a lighter freshness to the scent.  However, I do highly recommend any of the Unbreakable line because each brings something different to the table to exert that stunning hold over you.

I'm Nuts About This Fresh Fragrance for Spring! NEW 2013 Unbreakable Love Eau de Toilette By Khloe & Lamar (Review)

Unbreakable Love Eau de Toilette by Khloe & Lamar is as fresh as spring.

Prepare for the newly launched fragrance of February 2013 from Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom with their Unbreakable Love.  This is their third fragrance and it is sure to please as an exciting choice for Spring.  Once again the famous former couple mix it up for a surprising take on a fresh unisex fragrance that is lively as well as one that flirts.

Instead of any brisk crispness, the fragrance opens more laid back with sparkling notes of neroli and bergamot floating in blue water to deliberately tease.  Delicately softened from citrus and yet bursting with hidden playful energy, the scent is sheer brightness before unveiling its floral heart. 

With notes of muguet, bamboo flower, and  petitgrain, Unbreakable Love shows it romantic nature, finely spiced  with touches of cardamon to lend a little mystery and beautiful definition.

The base is subtly sexy and hard to run from.  Once the cedarwood begins to burn, there is a comfortable but growing irresistible heat at work.  Notes of tonka bean and musk fan the flames to keep that spreading heat at a minimum wonderfully before it consumes you.

This is a very well done fragrance in my opinion.  If you like a dewy freshness with an aromatic effect from your citrus fragrances, seasoned to perfection with enough floral to make it romantic, then you would find this light fragrance enchanting.   I know that I certainly am a fan.

Do get a whiff and then be good to yourself or your guy and pick up a bottle of Unbreakable Love--and welcome Spring in style!  

A Scent With Sunny Sensuality! Celine Dion's Pure Brilliance Eau de Toilette Spray Review

Celine Dion's Pure Brillance

Fresh and very feminine, Pure Brilliance by Celine Dion in conjunction with Coty Beauty, is as polished a fruity-floral as the emerald-like falcon this jewel of a fragrance comes in.  Working with Harry Fremont, the perfumer of Firmenich, this scent of 2010, is a sheer blissful melody of tempting fruits, delicate floral, and haunting warmth that elegantly captivates with its effortless sunny sensuality.

Celine Dion's Pure Brilliance Eau de Toilette Spray

Slightly tart Granny Smith Apple pleasantly dilutes the sweetness of the pear in the top notes along with a mix of beautiful freesia and green leaves giving the fragrance supreme brightness.   This combination fills you with pure joy inhaling its fruity-floral aroma.

In the heart, more refined beauty is what emerges in this romantic fragrance once the honeysuckle, lily, muget, and peach stir to life, showering it with warmth and confidence.  Graceful and charming, this is being glamorous and sexy without trying.  Think of an attractive and real woman at her best to describe the allure experienced at this stage.

The base notes of blonde wood and musk reflect its earthy sensuality that is bewitching without being overpowering.

This is a delight to wear, especially if you love Celine Dion's fragrances as much as I do.  I must tell you this one has more fruit to the floral that her others that I have tried.  Nonetheless, it is a glorious expression of sparkling beauty that is perfect to wear day or night.

Like Kindling to A Burning Fire! Beyonce's Heat Perfume Spray Review

Beyonce's Heat Perfume

Though I am familiar with several of the other fragrances from Beyonce for Coty Beauty, I had never tried her first scent of Heat that launched in 2010.  Working with the house of Givaudan perfumers, Claude Dir and Olivier Gillotin, this is the wildly successful sexy,  fruity-floral fragrance that started it all and later branched into new additions to the Heat line.

From the advertising campaign, I had expected a heavier oriental scent.  However, I was totally surprised because this is a complex blend that does not bombard your senses with any overdose of woods and spice.  Instead, you are slowly enticed through lighter notes of fruit and floral that eventually meets the intriguing warmth brewing in the base from flaming woods and amber. 

Heat Eau de Parfum opens with red vanilla-orchid, magnolia, neroli and peach that pleasantly dilutes that sweetness.  A lushness of floral beauty  surrounds you like stepping into an exotic garden and inhaling after summer rain has hit the ground.

Just as if the dew on those flowers and fruit have lifted, the heart is romantic with notes of honeysuckle and  almond, gradually warming as well like the sun evaporating that moisture once the creamy musk emerges. 

The kindling warmth inevitably catches fire in the base due to sequoia wood, tonka and amber.  The effect is  taunting smokiness that is demurely sexy at the same time.

Heat is ladylike and but full of passion without jumping all over you.  This feeling is what I loved most about it.  The warmth is controlled in this fragrance that gives it that exceptional elegance to the sensuality it possesses.   My suggestion is experience this scent from Beyonce Parfums because it compelling.

Katy Perry's Purr Fragrance

Gorgeous talent, Katy Perry, knows how to energize an audience with her amazing voice and bold lyrics.  Therefore, it should hardly come as a surprise that once she branched out into beauty that her special spark of lively excitement had to emerge in her first fragrance, Purr.

Developed by Firmenich perfumer house in 2010,  this riveting fruity-floral has a bright, youthful edge.  The composition is as unpredictable and unique as the beautiful star herself.  

Purr opens with a blast  from citrus and green bamboo against peach nectar and apple for a perky fresh take to the sweet fruits that uplifts it to delightful new heights.  

The floral heart is all feminine and softly romantic with jasmine blossom, pink freesia, and Bulgarian rose, balanced by vanilla orchid for a very pretty way to make an impression.  

The base is sheer and powdery temptation of white amber, sandalwood, coconut, and musk to give it a warm creamy feel that makes it entirely enticing. 

What I especially appreciated about Purr Eau de Parfum was how it held up to that unique freshness without making it too sweet or fruity for just the purr-fect balance of notes.  

Expect the unexpected when it comes to a fruity-floral fragrance in this one because it definitely it is worth looking into with its fun twist!
