Though heels are gorgeous and do make legs look longer, they can leave you hurting if walking in them all day. Instead of continuing to suffer in silence just for the sake of fashion, I am here to help rescue your poor, abused feet.
You can start by getting a clean basin and pouring in three tablespoons of white or apple cider vinegar to three tablespoons of Epsom salt before filling it with enough warm water to soak your feet in. Keep the feet immersed for at least fifteen minutes.
The acidity in the vinegar will help disinfect the feet and soften the skin while the Epsom salt will tend to the swelling and increase circulation.
After you shower and are getting ready for bed, I recommend rubbing your sore feet with a thick coat of Vicks VapoRub and slip into a pair of socks. Once you wake up, you will need to wash your feet but you will feel like were treated to the best massage of your life!
By the way, this VicksVapoRub treatment done in the same way for your feet and covering them with socks through the night, is also said to help control a cough. I never tested that particular home remedy for myself, but I thought to pass it on just in case you might have one.
Vick's VapoRub can be the best friend of hurting feet. |
