How to Get the Most Out of Your Fragrance!

Fragrance can be expensive and you want it to last.  So what do you do to get the most staying power of that gorgeous new scent?

You might want to start by taking a shower first before dabbing or spraying your perfume.  Make sure that your skin is still damp so the perfume will cling.  This step definitely makes a difference in how much longer that scent will last.

Dab your eau de parfum behind ears, cleavage, throat, wrist, behind your knees, and even your lower back or aim the spray at those pulse points.   Your fragrance will rise when those areas heat and keep gently circulating better than other areas, which fade more quickly.

Also, try spritzing your fragrance in your hair so that it can travel with you as you move.  The jury is still out on if this can damage your hair, but it does seem to pleasantly linger.

That perfume can last even longer if you learn how to layer it.  Start with scent's shower gel, then body lotion before applying the fragrance, and finishing with the scent's dusting powder to seal the scent in.

Consider where you store your fragrance.  The best spot for that bottle happens to be a cool, dry area instead of out near a window or heat, where it can break down.  You might want to hide it from direct light in your drawer or covered box.

Finally, try to buy the strongest potency of that new fragrance that you can afford.  Eau de parfum possesses higher concentrations of perfume oils  over eau de toilette followed by eau de cologne.
