Keeping track of the calories you burn is less of a challenge these days now that I have the Oaxis Star.21 Fitness Band from Mediasonic. The company sent me one at no cost for this review and giveaway. What I really like is that it takes the guesswork out of what used to be just my estimations.
I was very impressed with the trim design. This band fits well and is very comfortable to wear, which is important in a fitness band. The band can take the punishment of a vigorous workout. You won't have to worry about the band so you can focus on being active.
The one thing about electronic gadgets of any kind is that water and humidity aren’t friends. But the online specs state the Oaxis Star.21 Fitness Band is sweat proof, waterproof, and dust proof and from my use I feel it is.
It works very well to keep tabs on your steps, the distance traveled, how many calories burned and your active minutes. For me, that feedback is important because I can see whether I am making progress or not. I can tell when I am losing track and need to pick up the pace of my activity to reach my goals. We all know how easy it is to let things slide. However, tracking your activity makes it simple to stay on course.
Tracking your progress is a breeze because the Oaxis Star.21 supports both iOS and Android Phone. It also supports Bluetooth.
When Mediasonic chose the name of the product, they also made a good point as well. They assert that it takes 21 days to form a habit. Ever try something new when you’re working out or trying to lose a few pounds? The first few days it’s hard but the longer you stick with it the easier it gets. I never tracked the number of days but looking back I think they have a valid point. After about three weeks I am into my new routine. They say this is supported by behavioral psychology and I’ll take them at their word there.
I like the way this fitness tracker works. The Oaxis Star.21 switches between sleep and day mode automatically. It even can wake you up with a silent alarm since it has customized reminders and a strict time manager.
It also is light, weighing in at only 18g or about .64oz ( a little over half an ounce). The battery will hold a charge up to 10 days and is easily recharged with the supplied USB cable. The cable is a standard USB/Micro USB and it’s readily available.
If your goal is to be more fit and healthier, this Mediasonic Oaxis Star.21 Fitness Band can help make it easier for you or anyone on your holiday gift list. Do check it out!
