Fuego Box is a wonderful way to experience a variety of savory heats! |
One thing that I can’t resist is hot, spicy foods and the valuable contribution of artisan hot sauces for adding exciting flavor to practically any dish. If you also feel the same way about hot sauces, then you know that there is a limited local selection available to most of us. Until recently, your taste buds had to accept what was on the shelves–-that is until Fuego Box launched, ending mundane taste with their constantly evolving hot sauce subscription.
The cost for Fuego Box is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping. An option to buy one box at a time for $12.95 with a $5.00 shipping charge is also available. Besides three unique small-batch, artisan sauces, you also receive a card with recommended foods or dishes that would best compliment each sauce.
The November box brought Infinity Sauces Hatch-Quatch, a green-colored, spunky hot sauce with moderate heat. This is one centered around roasted hatch chilies and jalapeno peppers making a great all-purpose sauce that can heighten flavor from eggs, potatoes, casseroles to vegetables.
Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce Original has a milder, savory heat from Jalapeno peppers, lime, garlic among its ingredients. This is perfect on scrambled eggs, wings, meatballs, tacos, and dips.
Lastly this month was the most unusual hot sauce that ever went through these lips with Sam & Oliver’s Blackheart Cherry Reaper. With a base of black cherries, balsamic vinegar and Carolina reaper peppers, I feel this one has more sweetness than fire to it. Those that prefer extra sweetness along with a mild burning kick will enjoy this one. Use on sandwiches, chicken, pork, ham or salad dressings to even ice cream.
The holidays and gift giving are a prime time to share a Fuego Box subscription with those hot sauce fanatics on your list. A box also would please any hostess so check their website out because I simply love Fuego Box!
