Healthy eating doesn't have to be a chore when you have food products that be just as good as what you're used to.

Temptation is all around us when you’re trying to eat healthy, especially during the holiday season with all the sugar-laden treats and rich foods.  However, you will never feel denied when you find food products that satisfy your palate while making you to feel good about what you’re putting into your body like what I’ve been sampling from an unexpected box from Primal Kitchen with their paleo food items.

One of my top favorites is their Chipotle Lime Mayo ($9.95), which is outrageously delicious with a unique subtle lime flavor to this mildly hot mayo that transforms ordinary mayo to an extraordinary spicier one. Using this to perk up your sandwich or any holiday recipe definitely can make the taste better without sacrificing health since it uses quality ingredients like avocado oil and has no sugar, gluten, dairy or soy in its mix.

Primal Kitchen’s Ranch Dressing ($7.95) is another ideal way to fully enjoy salad from my experience while also being kind to health with its avocado oil, nutritional yeast and wonderful spices.  Trust me, but you won’t miss the taste of classic ranch dressing or the artery clogging fats and oils that you may be more familiar with.

I also found several boxes of Primal Kitchen’s paleo energy bars in this big box that arrived with their Dark Chocolate Almond Bars, Coconut Cashew Bars, Chocolate Hazelnut Bars, and the Macadamia Sea Salt Bars (12 in a box for $35.95).  Unlike some breakfast or energy bars that have more sugar than nutrition to them, these raw energy bars have less sweetness and concentrate more on nuts for the most part.  They are a bit sticky, but wonderfully chewy as well.

At the same time, each bar has 250 calories and is packed with 15 grams of protein from grass fed, hydrolyzed collagen, 3 grams of sugar, 8 grams of carbs and plenty of fiber, vitamins and minerals.  What I love is how filling a bar can be, which I recommend before making your round of holiday parties to keep yourself from regretful eating later.

I can’t say which variety of these energy bars I like the best because they each have something delicious going for them.  Sorry that I can’t make up my mind, but try them yourself and then decide because you’ll probably be wavering which one as well.

I was quite impressed with this assortment that Primal Kitchen kindly sent and definitely am intrigued by their healthy quality and deliciousness that I am lured to try more.  If you haven’t heard of Primal Kitchen, I do suggest a visit to their website is in order!
