NEW Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Makeup (Buff) Review

Neutrogena's Nourishing Long Wear Makeup in Buff

I was one of the lucky ladies that BzzAgent selected to work on the Neutrogena's Nourishing Long Wear Makeup campaign.  Based on the screen shot, I went with the second lightest shade available, Buff 30.

This new foundation has antioxidants, soy, vitamins, and light diffusing powders and comes in a range of eight different colors with a broad spectrum SPF sunscreen of 20.  According to the company's claims, this formula is also intended to last 12 hours.

When I opened the package, I was surprised at how dark the color Buff was compared to other lines where I am that same shade.  Also, the color itself has a lot of orange to it, which is more common to the Neutrogena line than some others.  I should have taken that in consideration and gone with the lighter shade, but it totally slipped my mind.

As to the makeup itself, the Nourishing Long Wear does feel lightweight for how thick the liquid appears when it comes out of the jar against your skin.  Furthermore, it does give you a pretty satin finish with slightly less than medium coverage since it is a bit on the sheer side.  Nonetheless, it was entirely too dark and orange for my light warm complexion.

Unfortunately, I hardly got 12 hours of wear out of this foundation.  The first time I used it was without priming first.  This was regrettable because it began fading in only a few hours.  Next time, I primed and found that this makeup did last a lot longer, but more like seven hours in my case.

The product is fine and relatively inexpensive at $15.99, but does have limitations.  To begin, I would have expected the SPF to be higher instead of a disappointing 20.  Neutrogena colors should also be revamped because they go heavy on the orange.  Besides how thick it is, it does have a stickiness to this formula when you initially apply that does vanish later when it adheres to your skin.  Other than those things, the Nourishing Long Wear Makeup will give you a nice look with sheerer medium coverage, but intend to wear primer if you want to get extended wear.

Have you tried Neutrogena's Nourishing Long Wear Makeup yet?  If so, what is your opinion?

Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles for Women

Being a BzzAgent puts you in touch with a lot of great products to test.  This time I was recruited to test out Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles for Women and voice my opinion.

I was eager to put them in my sneakers.  Once I cut them to the appropriate line to fit inside, I was ready to go once I removed the original insoles as recommended for getting the best fit.

After I put them on, I decided I would give my feet a whirl.  All shoes on carpeting always feel comfortable, even the ones that can hurt later when they hit the pavement. Therefore, I thought a trip to the mall  and some leisurely shopping was in order.

These insoles definitely felt my feet more comfortable for those hours that I was on my feet.  I had a bounce to my step and felt less tired later that afternoon when I returned home.

Truly, I never realized how much of a wonderful difference this insole made, but I am now hooked on Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles and am looking into more options for my other shoes!

Have you discovered Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles yet?  Check out the collection--and make your feet happy. Look for the $2.00 coupon at that link as well--and get even happier!

Call Me a Fan of The NEW Hydra Recharge Fortifying Line for Dry Hair From Garnier Fructis! (Review)

Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge

Being a BzzAgent, I was chosen to test out a few of the new Garnier Fructis hair care products in their Hydra Recharge Fortifying Shampoo, Conditioner and 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment for Dry Hair.  I had used their various hair care and styling products in the past.  Some of their products on my hair were wonderful, especially their Wonder Waves Shampoo while others were just so-so that is until I experimented with these three products.

Geared for those with dry hair, the Hydra Recharge line has goji berry, passion fruit, and kiwi to help hydrate hair without weighing it down.

Unlike that sour smell I associated with some of their earlier shampoos I had tried in the past, the Hydra Recharge formulation has a sweeter fruit scent, which was a wonderful beginning.  Lathering up was so pleasant as I worked this rich foam through my hair.

I followed next with a small amount of the Hydra Recharge Conditioner after rinsing my hair and squeezing out the excess water.  I left this conditioner on for about a minute and rinsed before towel drying.

Since I was anxious to see what my hair looked like, I only applied some styling gel to my long bangs before grabbing my blow dryer.

The surprising part was how this shampoo and conditioner managed to turn my slightly layered hair into a thick mass of voluminous curls without any styling mousse.  As I mentioned, I do have some natural wave in my hair and go to either smooth or make more of my curls.

Another thing I want to explain was how incredibly shiny and extra soft those strands I stroked felt.  It truly boggled my mind.

The next time I shampooed, I gave myself the 1-Minutes Moisture-Plenish Treatment.  This is a hair mask that you leave for a minute before rinsing.  This seemed to turn my hair's new brilliance up even more, which was so hard to believe.

My hair is thick and dry, but not coarse and these products worked like champs for me.  I highly recommend picking them up if you also have the same type of hair!

Great job on this one, Garnier Fructis!

Leg Smoothness Reigns! Schick Hydro Silk Razor Review

Schick Hydro Silk Razor

Being a BzzAgent, I got invited to take part in the Schick Hydro Silk Razor campaign and put it through a test run.  Being of a curious nature, I had to accept the challenge and compare what sort of smoothness was possible over my current choice of a disposal razor.

This Schick razor has five Curve-Sensing blades instead of one like mine, which definitely looks impressive.  These blades are also coated with special water-activated moisturizing serum so I could forgo shaving gel before running it over my legs.

Contoured to suit a woman's body, I found it did maneuver more easily around my legs than what I had been using.  Furthermore, the multi-head razor that was pre-loaded with serum did seem to cut closer without any irritation.  My legs felt beyond soft and smooth, but silky.

I am not surprised the Schick Hydro Silk Razor has won several awards for being the best razor.    After my experience, I can see why it was chosen because I, too, have found a new, better razor!  Do try this razor and compare for yourself the beautiful difference.

Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patties Review

Here is my Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef  burger creation.

One of the perks of being a BzzAgent is getting to sample some amazing new things that you may have, otherwise, ignored like these Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patties.   The variety I picked up was the beef and onion.  These come in a bag of six.

These patties were very good tasting like they did come off of the grill.  Another thing that I loved was how they stayed the same size without shrinking after cooking for a minute in the microwave. What was extra nice was how handy these were in the freezer when you're in a rush and the troops demand food.

And if you want to taste something slightly usual, but delicious then you might want to prepare that grilled burger under a bed of lettuce with a slice of Vidalia onion and American cheese topped with a few crispy pickled pieces of hot and spicy asparagus on a fresh homemade bun brushed with honey-mustard.

The next time you make a burger, you may want to try Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patties and with those few yummy additions for your own family.

Green Mountain Coffee Fair Trade House Blend & Pumpkin Spice Coffee Review

*Disclaimer:  This is my own honest opinion.  No money was exchanged.  All I received were free products from BzzAgent to facilitate this review.*

This was the first time I ever sampled any coffee from Green Mountain Coffee Company when I was selected to review some as a BzzAgent project.   I received a bag of their Organics House Blend ground coffee (a medium to dark roast) and a bag of their Seasonal Pumpkin Spice ground coffee.

I thought their flavored ground Seasonal Pumpkin Spice coffee was delightful with a hint of pumpkin pie spices to give it a holiday flare, an excellent choice for upcoming Halloween and Thanksgiving gatherings.

Their Organics House Blend was rich and a satisfying way to start off a day or complete any meal for this coffee-lover.  To me, it was roasted to perfection and brewed the ultimate cup of coffee.

I definitely loved both varieties of the Green Mountain Coffee.  Sometime soon, I would be interested in trying more of what they make.

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin Facial Cleanser & Daily Moisturizer Review

Sensitive skin facial cleanser & daily moisturizer.jpeg
Here are two great options for sensitive complexions.

Being a BzzAgent, I had the opportunity to test two products from Burt's Bees new line of Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin.  I was sent the Facial Cleanser and Daily Moisturizer to try out on my face, which can sometimes be sensitive.

This new line is different and very gentle with natural ingredients such as cotton, rice, and aloe in the formula to reduce the possibility of irritation.  In fact, 99% of the makeup of these products are completely natural ingredients so you can feel good about what goes on and into your skin.

The Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin Facial Cleanser has Quillaja, which is the natural foaming agent, and Yucca for cleaning in this soap-free way to wash away makeup and dirt while moisturizing at the same time.

The Sensitive Daily Moisturizer won't clog pores like some other products with mineral oil.  This one uses rice extract to keep the face well hydrated and aloe for calming.

I really liked these two new Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions products and would  love to try the rest of the products in this particular line.  I highly recommend them to anyone with sensitivity or just looking for a great natural daily moisturizer and cleanser.
