Blue Fragrance for Men

Never one to disappoint, designer Marc Ecko's  BLUE Fragrance for Men is sexy, modern, and daringly fresh.  Classified as an aromatic fougere, this launched in spring 2011 as his third fragrance under Parlux Fragrances.

With top notes of bright citrus against the juicy blackcurrant and wild plum, BLUE is invigorating and alive with energy and bold confidence.

In the heart, the chilled H20 lends more icy crispness to notes of geranium, fresh-picked herbs, and juniper berry, glazing the fragrance in a fresh spicy mix.  Once the frosted blue lavender develops, the fragrance warms and takes on a sexiness that is hard to ignore.

The base is hot.  The underlying passion finally emerges with a ménage a trois woods accord in the dry down.  Spanish oakmoss and Australian eco-sandalwood bring an undeniable sensuality to the fragrance with earthy and woody notes  that fires nearly out of control once the electronic musk accord ignites them.

The bottle is sheer glass that is sharply divided, reflecting the contrasts in the fragrance itself.  The angular metal cap adds a futuristic appeal perched above the inner sea of blue.

BLUE is ever so manly as it weaves its spell over a woman.  That icy rush of citrus freshness perfectly compliments the spiciness and woods to keep it from overpowering for almost aquatic freshness while being sexy at the same time.  I honestly loved how my guy smelled wearing this because it is so intensely fresh but still earthy and masculine, but definitely memorable.

Designer, Marc Ecko's first fragrance for men, Ecko, is an extraordinary expression of living life to the fullest  with cool confidence and unstoppable spirit.   Created by perfumers, Vincent Kuczinski and Lois Evan, from Ungerer & Co Company, in cooperation with Marc, this brand launched in 2009 under Parlux Fragrances.

Classified as an aromatic fougere scent, Ecko opens with a stimulating impact to capture your senses.  With top notes such as iced ginger, white grapefruit, liquid lightening accord, and hyper citrus accord, the feel of Ecko is jolting fresh and charming, but is also cool and debonair until Absinthe dilutes the mixture for a warm sensuality and almost intoxicating appeal.   Underlying the crisp masculine heart, this fragrance beats through a wild green jungle of violet leaves, black licorice, and wild artemisia for strength and boldness that gives it a sweetness to break through that iciness nicely.  The base is electric and driven with notes of static accord and energized musk accord, and yet melts with warmth and passion from white incense and tonka beans. 

Like the bottle itself, this fragrance has many different sides.  On one hand, Ecko is daring and ready to defy convention while on the other it has control and supreme confidence that steadies it and keeps open a world of unlimited possibilities.

My take is this is the ideal scent for the man that is a risk taker, but one that is smart enough to know when to stop.  He is suave and coolly collected, but almost ruthless when it comes to getting what he wants with an energy and determination that makes him irresistible.  If this sounds like your man, then Ecko is what you should consider buying him this Father's Day!

Ecko's UNLTD. Fragrance for Men by Marc Ecko

I was lured in by the compelling fresh scent of UNLTD. (short for Unlimited) fragrance by designer, Marc Ecko and Parlux Fragrances immediately.  This second fragrance for men that came out spring, 2011 is so appealing in almost a unisex sort of way that you may be tempted to share or use this eau de toilette for yourself! 

This scent has a youthful energy and drive about it that is bursting with passion and life.  Water mint and luscious melons provide a cooling balance to fresh figs and the citrus tang of Italian lemon for a very clean and green rush to the senses.  Once the heart opens, rosemary and lavender compete with a spicy floral-citrus smell of Neroli and soft suede, warming giving it a seductive quality.  The scent dries down and deepens with robust cashmere and cedar woods, moss, and haunting musk to complement this captivating new fragrance.  

My guy loved wearing UNLTD. and I loved the smell of him in it.  This is not one of those choking fragrances for men that you want to leave the room when he enters because it suffocates you with heavy he-man type of fumes.  UNLTD. has that incredible freshness and then later that soft warmth of seduction that only pulls you into the spell it creates.

Men, trust me, this is a perfect spring scent that the woman in your life will definitely find irresistible.  Personally, I am nuts about UNLTD. with the exhilarating way it takes hold of your senses. 

Nonetheless, be good to your man and get him a bottle so you can enjoy him in it.  I highly recommend it!
