Although I love to bake, I will admit there are times when homemade is not an option.   On those occasions when you are in need of a cookie fix, I prefer organic baked treats like the delicious variety from Newman's Own Organics which have been known to appear in my shopping cart from time to time.

My particular favorite is Fig Newman's Low Fat or the Regular variety.  These are always so soft and yet fruity.

Then again, Newman-O's creme filled are also very good that I received for this review when it comes to sandwich cookies.  I sampled the  vanilla creme filled chocolate, the peanut-butter creme filled chocolate ones, the newest addition to this line with the vanilla creme filled vanilla cookies, and creme filled, wheat-free, dairy-free chocolate cookies.

What I loved about these Newman-O's are the better organic ingredients, less sugar in the formula than their non-organic alternative, and more intense chocolate or vanilla flavor in the wafer cookie itself.  The fillings are creamy and luscious, perhaps, just slightly thinner than the non-organic variety.  Nonetheless, they are scrumptious together when teamed up with a cup of coffee.

The Family Cookie Recipe Double Chocolate Chip cookies are jammed-packed with rich chocolate.  This is especially handy when you're tempted to grab a chocolate bar with the amount of semi-sweet pieces in each cookie.

I also received the new cookie addition to their Family Recipe Cookies with the Spelt Ginger Snaps.   I loved how heightened the spicy ginger flavor in this cookie taste in this crunchy, but not overly sweet treat.

Of course, organic cookies have calories, fats, and sugar just like the other non-organic brands.  However, they do instill more trust with what goes into their baked goods by way of ingredients, how they are grown, and limiting sweetness without denying a consumer a fabulous tasting cookie.

If you haven't tried any cookie from Newman's Own Organics, I think you should give this company a shot.

Newman's Own Organics NEW Oatmeal Chocolate Chip & Ginger Snap Cookies

In March of this year, I first worked with Newman's Own Organics on a review and giveaway of a huge assortment of their delicious organic products.  Since that time, the company that originally started as a division of Newman's in 1993 until 2001 when it became a separate entity, developed two new fabulous cookies that I want to tell you about.

I was sent their Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Ginger Snap cookies for this review and giveaway.  Both are made with organic flour, organic sugar, and healthier ingredients than typical packaged cookies.  These are crisper cookies and the perfect size to grab when you are in the mood for a sweet.  Forget about denying yourself because eating five of either variety only amounts between 130 and 140 calories for a small cookie feast!

I enjoyed both new cookies and you would too if you sampled them yourself.  Feel satisfied in your tummy and in your soul as well because through the sales of its products, Newman's Own Organics generates money for the Newman's Own Foundation for a wide variety of charitable organizations such as Hole in the Wall Camps.

*Disclaimer:  This is my own honest opinion.  No money was exchanged.  All I received were free products to facilitate this review.*

If you're like me, you probably think of Newman's pasta sauce, marinades, salad dressings or cereal.  However, an organic food division started within the company in 1993 by Paul Newman and his daughter, Nell.  By 2001, Newman's Own Organics became a separate company with certified organic food products.  Sometimes, healthy doesn't necessary mean tasty food.  However, I honestly can say the Newman's Own Organics products that I was sent to review were wonderful and really do taste good.

The huge box of Newman's Own Organics that I received had pretzels, dried prunes, dried apples, Alphabet Cookies Cinnamon Grahams, how many varieties of Champion Chip Cookies and delectable Creme-Filled Sandwich Cookies, Fat-Free Fig Newman's, Hermit Cookies, Licorice Twists made with organic sugar in a range of flavors, Newman's Own Organic Mints, and an assortment of Chocolate Bars, any choc-o-holic would lust over!

The family and I were in heaven experimenting with all these delicious Newman's Own Organics products.  Each of us had our own favorite.  For me, I coveted the Chocolate Bars after I sampled my first taste of their Super Dark Chocolate, so smooth and rich like sweet chocolate velvet  against your tongue.  The men in my house preferred the White Cheddar Soy Crisps and the Creme-Filled Sandwich Cookies, especially the Creme-Filled Mint Chocolate Cookies.  My mother was particularly fond of the No-Fat Fig Newman's, which she enjoyed immensely with their cake-like cookie, loaded with sweet fig filling.

In addition to the products I mentioned, Newman's Own Organics also makes Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Coffee, Tea, Dog Food and Treats, and Cat Food and Treats.

Through the sales of its products, Newman's Own Organics generates money for the Newman's Own Foundation for a wide variety of charitable organizations.

You can also connect with Newman's Own Organics on Facebook.
*This is my own, honest opinion.  No money was exchanged.  All I received was free products to review so that I may express an opinion.*

Thanks to the generosity of Newman's Own Organics, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader wins a Newman's Own Super Dark Chocolate Bar, a package of Fat-Free Fig Newman's, Soy Crisps in White Cheddar, and a package of Creme-Filled Mint Chocolate Cookies!
