Beauty Box 5 August 2015

As Summer continues to wind down, we can look forward to getting ready for Fall.  This month’s beauty box assortment is about doing some primping with some new cosmetics, skin and hair care that will help give you a beautiful fresh start for a brand-new season.

Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty box subscription that I really enjoy digging into.  Every green mystery box is so fun to explore because you can always expect about four or five full to sample size beauty products. You get both familiar brands as well as new ones, which is exciting when finding something that works magic for you that you never knew existed until that little box arrived.  And yet, the cost for this monthly bit of fun is just $12 a month with free shipping.

For instance, let me show you what this latest beauty box was like.  Wait until you see!

Beauty Box 5 August 2015

1.  Donnamax Printed Nail-File with Case–Full Size–$4.99

2.  Starlooks Lux Longwear eyeliner Pen in Plum –Full Size–$19.99

3.  Hask Beauty Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment–Full Size–$2.39

4.  Jerome Alexander Hot Stuff Go Pop Compact –Full Size–$10.99

5.  Pur~lisse Pur Moist Hydra-Balance Moisturizer–Sample Size (.5 oz.)–$18.00

Total Approximate Value–$56.36

The Donnamax Nail-File with Case was an insightful addition to this assortment.  This is great for throwing in your handbag because when is it that you don’t need a nail file? The case makes it more sanitary as well as convenient when rummaging through your cosmetic bag.

The Starlooks Lux Longwear eyeliner pen went on wonderfully.  It made a smooth line in a color that complimented my dark brown eyes so I will continue enjoying using that pen.

The Hask Beauty Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment I will be trying once I finish my current hair product testing.  Again, I think the company made a good choice because Summer heat can really take a toll on our hair.

The Jerome Alexander Hot Stuff Go Pop Compact is strong looking and extra easy to open.  The only fault with this is no protective plastic over the lip shades or eye shadows.  Other than that, this is a great little set except I would not wear a bright mint green or the paler green of these shimmer shades. A grayish shimmer color is the last shade. The lip colors are a rose with gold, an orange and a pink nude with some shimmer to it.

Finally, I got a tube of Pur~lisse Pur Moist Hydra-Balance Moisturizer.  I got samples of this brand before and like how they work on my sensitive skin.  This formula is anti-aging and uses plant extracts and vitamins for moisturizing.

I think August 2015 was a very good month of products for us, beauty loving girls for Beauty Box 5.  Don’t you agree?  Do check the company’s website out because it is a great way to shop for beauty.

Review: Beauty Box 5 July 2015 for Looking Colorfully Cool Through Summer Heat!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Beauty Box 5 July 2015.jpeg
Check out this month's beauty goodies for July 2015 Beauty Box 5

It is that magical time of the month again because my new Beauty Box 5 assortment has finally arrived! The theme of this month’s grouping of cosmetics and skin care is colorfully cool beauty for summer nights out.

Let me tell you how this monthly beauty box subscription works in case you haven't discovered this company yet. Usually, each green box contains about four or five full to sample sizes of beauty items for only $12 with a monthly subscription.  Some brands are familiar while others may be exciting new brands that you’ll get introduced to, but probably love.

Receiving surprise beauty products every month is fun because you never know what will be arriving.  Some months you will love more than other months, depending on your preferences.  However, I always have a blast digging into each new Beauty Box 5 and always find something special among the products.

If you’re curious about this month’s box, then I won’t keep you in suspense any longer.  Take a peek at the products below.

Beauty Box 5 for July 2015

OFRA Lip Gloss           (full size)-----------------$12.95

OFRA Lip Liner            (full size)------------------$13.00

Nanacoco Nail Polish   (full size)------------------$3.00

Love Life Skin, Love Life Skin Collection (four sample packets)

Pur~lisse Flesh Tattoos (full size)------------------$9.00

Total approximate value:       $37.95

The color of the OFRA Lip Gloss was Truffle, a nude with shimmery copper that is a great neutral shade.  I liked the non-sticky formula and the way its glistening color lit up my lips.

The OFRA Lip Liner was in Spicy, a brownish shade that paired up well with my Truffle Gloss.

I didn’t get a chance to try the Nanacoco Nail Polish yet because I am doing nail swatches right now; however, the rose-pink shade I got is Kissing Lips and looks just like the colors I tend to wear the most.

Since I am also currently testing more skin care products, I will have to save those samples of Intensive Recovery Serum and Restorative Night Cream from Love Life Skin for another time.   The formula sounds worth exploring since it was developed to help chemotherapy patients and their sensitive skin, which sounds like the TLC my skin could use.

Finally, I got a sheet of Pur~lisse Skin Sparkle Flash Tattoos.  The designs and detail are pretty with gold, silver and black, but I am not the tattoo type.  Yet, this is just my preference and doesn’t mean it is a bad product.

Overall, I thought it was a wonderful box. To learn more or subscribe, pop over to Beauty Box 5 and get on board the fun train to beauty!

Review: More Than Pleased With Beauty Box 5 June 2015!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Beauty Box 5 June 2015.jpeg
Beauty Box 5's June 2015 collection of products is quite sweet!

Happy days are here again now that my latest Beauty Box 5 has arrived.  Bon voyage is the theme for June 2105 from the beauty subscription with an assortment of products that are perfect for traveling to keep you dolled up in style.

If you still haven’t heard about Beauty Box 5, then you really are missing out on a fun way to shop because you never know what you’ll find in each green box. On average, you get about four or five full to sample sizes of beauty items per box, which can be had for just $12 with a monthly subscription.

I like finding products from familiar brands, but it also has led me to discover new ones as well that now have become favorites.  For example, take a look below at this month’s box with me.

Beauty Box 5 for June 2015

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara (0.04 oz. Sample)----------$5.50

Herbal Essences Body Wash (1.2 oz. Sample)----------$2.50

LOL Rotational Eye Shadow (Full Size)----------$3.00

Nails Inc. Nail Polish (Full Size)----------$9.50

Simple Skincare Micellar Cleansing Water (.17 ml Sample)----------$.05

Beauty Bonus of a $20 Gift card to shop at Gorge Hair (on all order more than $49.95)

Total Value: $20.55

This Urban Decay Perversion Mascara is meant to play up lashes with extra black boldness.  I didn’t try it yet, but will soon.  I was thinking of saving it for vacation.

The Herbal Essences Body Wash is their new Honey, Smell Good scent, which does smell delicious and produces beautiful lather.

LOL Rotational Eye Shadow palette is 01 Black Betty, perfect for doing a smoky eye. These are varying shimmer shades of gray, black and champagne that go on surprisingly smooth with nice pigment for such an inexpensive product.

The Nails Inc. Nail Polish is in a lovely, bright medium pink shade called Brook Street that looks gorgeous for wearing now. I never tried this UK brand, but I heard only good things about it.  I will try it soon.

Finally, I got a tiny skin care sample that comes attached to a card with just enough of Simple’s Micellar Cleansing Water.  Just like your rinse-off makeup cleanser, this product is one to remove makeup and grime, only using a cotton ball or pad to swipe it off without involving water.  It worked nicely enough except it didn’t perform very well with my longwearing lip stain.

Overall, I think Beauty Box 5 for June 2015 was a wonderful month.  What do you think?
Do check this company out and all they have to offer!

Take a first glimpse inside Lilee Box for May 2015.

What exactly makes up a Lilee Box?  Well, you can find anything from cosmetics, jewelry, hair and skin care, stationery, coffee or tea, scarves or gloves, home accents, fragrances, nail care or beauty tools.  All the products in each box are full-size and estimated with at least a $120 value.

Here is everything from  Lilee Box for May 2015 up close.

Now that you have a better understanding about Lilee, I want to show you the May 2015 box.  The theme is “brunch” with all the items you need to do it right girl-to-girl style!

Here are the Your Minerals Blush and Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow.jpeg
On the left is the Your Minerals Rose Hip Rouge Blush with the Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow on the right.
Lilee Box May 2015

1.  Lilee Invites (Set of four) ----------------------------------------------------------$10.00

2.  Texas Coffee Trade (Lilee Coffee 2.5 oz. Bag)------------------------------$6.99

3.  Knotty Floral Chain Bracelet/Hair Tie----------------------------------------- $14.99

4.  Your Minerals Rose Hip Rouge Blush ----------------------------------------$26.00

5.  Lilee Tea Towel----------------------------------------------------------------------$22.99

6.  Rachel’s Plan Bee Facial Oil (1 oz.)--------------------------------------------$20.00

7.  Perk Naturals Coffee First Body Scrub (7 oz.)-------------------------------$19.63

8.  The Perth Soap Co. Sparkling Champagne Cleansing Bar (6 oz.)------$10.00

9.  Lilee Champagne Stopper---------------------------------------------------------$15.99

10. Bonus Gift (Marsk Mineral Vanilla Frosting Eye Shadow)-----------------$22.50

11.  Bonus Gift (Love Life Skin’s Hand & Body Cream (1 oz.)---------------- $5.00

Total Value:    $174.09

The Lilee Invites features four cards with coordinated pink envelopes.

The bag of Lilee Coffee is Lilee’s Brunch Blend in Medium/Dark.  You have enough ground coffee to brew one half gallon.  I had some for breakfast and it was delicious.

The Knotty Floral Chain Bracelet that can be used also as a hair tie is a yellow floral ribbon with a small brass colored section of chain with a Knotty symbol dangling from it.  This is not my style, but it is lovely if you go into that sort of thing.

The Your Minerals Rose Hip Rouge Blush is a nice pink shade that is fresh looking and quite natural when applied.  It gave my cheeks a healthy glow to them.

The Lilee Tea Towel has a cocktail recipe printed on it.

I didn’t try the Perk’s Natural Coffee Body Scrub yet, but coffee as an ingredient in this type of product does help in the war against cellulite.  This looks like a wonderful body care aid yet to discover.

The Rachel’s Plan Bee Facial Oil is for normal to dry skin.  It has vitamin E, olive squalane, apricot kernel and cranberry seed oils among other plant-based ingredients.  This also looks like a product that I am going to love using once I finish with my current skin care testing.

The Perth Soap Co.’s Sparkling Champagne Cleansing Bar has an incredible fragrance that greeted me as soon as I opened this box.  It also has argan oil to make it extra moisturizing.

I have used the Marsk Vanilla Frosting Mineral Eye Shadow before after finding it in a Beauty Box 5.  I liked getting another one because it always comes in handy for highlighting.

The Love Life Skin Moisture Reservoir Hand & Body Cream comes sealed.  This is a rich formula that is fragrance, paraben, and sulfate free.  I did like how this stuff handled dryness on my hands.

The Lilee Champagne Stopper will go into a drawer for now.  It will come in handy for special occasions.

Overall, I did think it was an impeccably packaged box that made a beautiful presentation from the design of the outside of box, the bow to how it was gift-wrapped with a black tissue and gold seal.  Though the products were very nice, I do think some of the products were overestimated in value for their worth like $22.99 for a tea towel? Nonetheless, Lilee is still a great box that you should check out.

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

 L’Occitane en Provence’s Second L’OcciBox for Spring, 2015. jpeg
This is L'Occitane's Second L'OcciBox.  It does makes a beautiful gift.

L’Occitane en Provence got into the beauty sampling program back in December with a seasonal box. This Spring I received the second L’OcciBox, full of their best-selling products and one from a special partner.

Besides an excellent way to test out some great beauty before you buy full-size products is the fact that you can buy by the box instead of being tied to an annual subscription.  The cost is $20, but the box has a $50 value.

Just look at the contents of this second L’OcciBox for Spring, 2015.

L'Occitane's Second L'OcciBox for Spring 2015.jpeg
L'Occitane's Second L'OcciBox for Spring 2015

1.  Shea Whipped Hand Cream (30ml) – Another favorite hand cream of mine with 25% shea butter with a lighter texture.

2.  Shea Butter Hand Cream (10ml) – This is an amazing, hardworking formula with 20% shea butter that I use all the time.  It doesn’t leave hands greasy, but soothes irritation quickly to leave softness behind.

3.  Jasmin & Bergamote Eau de Toilette (1.2ml) – This is a lovely fruity-floral where jasmine is the star set off with freshness from bergamot.

4.  Immortelle Brightening Essence Sample (1ml) – This immortelle flower formula is for evening out complexion tone and brightening.

5.  Immortelle Precious Serum (7ml) – This anti-aging serum has the immortelle flower for its restorative powers in help with lines and wrinkles.

6.  Bone Mere Rose Soap (3.5oz.) – This gentle formula with palm oil cleans without stripping skin’s natural oils as it scents with romantic rose.

7.  1 cube of Sugarfina Champagne Bears (3.3oz.) – This luxury candy is inflused with classic Brut and Rose champagne!
You can buy these limited boxes online or at L’Occitane’s boutiques, but you need to hurry if you want to take advantage of this deal.  Enter coupon code, SUGAR, at checkout to get that $20 price.

A Good Month for Beauty Lovers With Beauty Box 5 for March 2015! (Review)

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Beauty Box 5 March 2015 box.jpeg
Take a peek at Beauty Box 5 March 2015!

Though Spring break may be on your mind, the theme behind this month’s box is not being a bit more lax about beauty with a selection of items to fit the occasion.  Instead, the assortment of skin care and makeup products are for maximizing your beauty potential.

If you still haven’t found Beauty Box 5, then you really should give it a try.  Each box has four or five full to sample sizes of beauty items per box, which can be had for $12 with a monthly subscription.  Yet, you can even pay less.  A subscription can run as low  as $6.58 a month when committing to an annual subscription.

In fact, March 2015 is even more exciting because it came with three full size cosmetics!  Are you ready to dive in and explore these new beauty goodies?  Then let me show you in detail when I found in this new box that has me in such a good mood.

Beauty Box 5 March 2015

Eslor Introductory Collection–Second Edition--four sample packets (5 ml)–$17.03

Elite Therapeutics Rosemary Eucalyptus Body Cream–.5 oz. sample--$1.18

Scandalous by Nanacoco Thickening MascaraFull Size–$4.99

Styli-Style Line & Seal Twist Mechanical Eye LinerFull Size–$4.99

Laugh Out Loud by Nanacoco Lip GlossFull Size–$3.99

Total Value: $32.18

This is the second time I got some Eslor skin care and loved finding more of this paraben free natural line to tweak up my complexion.  The four packets are the Soothing Refiner & Cleanser, Botanical Peeling Gel, Chlorophyll Lifting Mask, and Firming Collagen Day Cream.  I am once again testing facial care products so the first chance I get I will dive into my new stash of these samples.

The Elite Therapeutics has 70% certified organic ingredients, which I love to hear.  It’s a wonderful formulation for moisturizing the body if you don’t mind its distinctive herbal scent, which may not be for everyone.

The Nanacoco brand is one that I don’t remember trying in the past.  However, I thought the black Scandalous Mascara pumped up my lashes nicely.  It didn’t leave them feeling brittle either, which can happen sometimes.

I absolutely adored the Nanacoco Lip Gloss in Call Me Babe for feel and color.  This is such a pretty metallic pinky-brown nude with some mauve that lit up my lips beautifully without excess stickiness.  It is a great neutral that would compliment every skin tone.

The final product was a Styli-Style Mechanical Eye Liner in Lapis.  This is a lovely teal color that I was surprised did so much for my dark brown eyes.

In summary, I thought this was a wonderful put together selection!  Do you agree?

Beauty Box 5 December 2014 Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Beauty Box 5 December 2014.jpeg
Here is  a photo of  Beauty Box 5 for December 2014.

This month’s Beauty Box 5 revolves around indulgences to make the holidays even brighter with the assortment of products geared to do the trick.

If you’re unfamiliar with this monthly beauty subscription, then let me fill you in.  Each box usually has four to five beauty items from full sizes to samples.  The cost is $12 a month with free shipping, but you can reduce that price significantly if you get an annual subscription that brings it to a mere $8.25 a month.

As to what arrived, I won’t keep you in suspense any longer.  Here is what I received in this new beauty box below.

Beauty Box 5 December 2014

1.  Jaqua Rose Bouquet Hydrating Facial Mist–FULL SIZE (1.69 fl. oz.)–$16.50

2.  Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads–FULL SIZE (32 pads)–$2.99

3.  Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer–SAMPLE (.26 fl. oz.)–$9.94

4.  Nanacoco Nail Polish–FULL SIZE–$3.95

5.  Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 Perfume–SAMPLE (unspecified size)

Total Estimated Value–$33.38!

The Jaqua Rose Facial Mist was a hit with me.  I regularly use a rose facial mist year round after cleansing before moisturizing.  Sometimes, I also like to spray some on after I do my makeup and press a tissue over it.  This really does wonders for giving you a fresher look and does keep your makeup lasting longer.

The Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads I got were the Peach scented pads. This worked very well for removing polish, but you can still also smell the stronger chemicals along with the peach.  I still liked this product.

The Nanacoco Nail Polish was Summer Nigh Festival, a mix of purple and blue glitter.  I didn’t try this yet, but it does look pretty in the bottle.  I will paint my nails soon.

I do adore organic skin care.  I didn’t get a chance to test this new Juice Beauty Moisturizer because I am currently involved in another skin care project, but this one is already on my vanity waiting.

The Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 perfume sample was a lovely woody-floral with just enough spice to add to the magic.  I only wish we could have gotten a larger sample.

To sum it up, I would label December 2014 a good month!  Don’t you agree?

Have you tried Beauty Box 5  yet?  Do check it out!

Review: Memebox Special #26 Hand & Nail Care—September 2014 Deals!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Memebox Special #26 Hand & Nail Care.jpeg
Memebox Special #26 Hand & Nail Care

Hands can give away your age—that is, if you let them.  Look at all we put them through every day doing dishes, laundry, cleaning, and cooking to name just a few routine chores that can turn once soft hands with lovely nails into ones that you would rather hide from the world.  Help is here though with the Memebox Special #26 Hand & Nail Care assortment that I was sent.

I wish that I could tell that you can still buy this particular Memebox, but it is another sold out box.  When it was still available this box sold for $23 plus $6.99 shipping.  Here is what you missed.

Memebox Special #26 Hand & Nail Care Box

1.    PURE SKIN Hand Care PackFull Size (15g)--$4.00

2.    SUR 3D Nail Art Kit (3D & Magnet emerald 12ml & Nail Art Pen Silver 7ml)—Full Size--$29.00

3.    PURE PLUS Hydrogel Moisturizing Nail PatchFull Size (2/5g)--$8.00

4.    With shan Dr. Care Set (Dr. 01 15ml & Paper File 1 ea.)—Full Size--$13.00

5.    BARBINIE Shea Butter Hand CreamFull Size (50ml)--$18.00

6.    SHARA SHARA Soft Hand GommageFull Size (50ml)--$6.00

7.    With shan Baby Hand Set (Treat Oil 15ml & Nail Wall File 1ea)—Full Size--$9.00

Total Value:  $87.00!

The most interesting product was the Shara Shara Soft Hand Gommage.  This is a gel that you rub over your hands to get rid of rough skin. Once applied, it balls up and gently peels away skin. My hands were softer as a result.

The Pure skin Hand Care Pack was one of my favorites of the products that I sampled.  This product is a pair of gloves loaded with rich moisturizers and anti-aging ingredients that can help banish dryness and roughness.

The Barbinie Shea Butter Hand Cream was in Violet Musk.  This provided heavy duty lubrication in a lovely floral scent.

Something else I loved was the Pure Plus Hydrogel Moisturizing Nail Patch for strengthening and improving the look of nails.  I just placed this flexible hydrogel patch over a nail and waited twenty minutes for it to work its magic.

Another helpful product for serious nail strengthening was the with shan Dr. Care Set.  The Dr. 001 is what you paint your nails with every two days to build them up. Once you finish a week, you remove it and repeat the process.  A Paper File was also included to perfect those stronger nails.

The Sure 3D Nail Art Kit is something that I did not experiment with yet.  I got a forest green shade of nail polish and a Black Diamond Nail Art pen to be artistic with.  This will be my first attempt at designing my own nail look, but it looks like fun.

The with shan Baby Hand Set is another product that I didn’t get a chance to try yet, but I soon will.  This set consists of a Treatment Oil for working on cuticles.  It also comes with a Nail Wall File to smooth and perfect.

I really discovered some unique hand and nail products in this collection that really surprised me.  After this experience, I have been browsing the Memebox Shop for more of their hand and nail products for how wonderfully they worked.  Do yourself a favor and check into their hand and nail products such as Kocostar, a favorite of mine, as well because I think you will be impressed.
