Every Woman Needs This DIY Cellulite Massage Oil If You Intend to Win the War Against Cellulite!

Woman in shorts without cellulite holding a camera.jpeg
This beauty knows how to manage cellulite with her perfect body--and you can too!

Women, let’s face it, we all have the same problem of cellulite.  Regardless how fit a body can be, cottage-cheese lumps called subcutaneous fat come with the female territory due to our unique hormones. Unlike our male counterparts, we also were gifted with larger fat storage chambers on our backsides, thighs and hips where all that fluid along with fat and trapped wastes turn into cellulite.

Our estrogen causes more fluid to build.  What happens is when this particular hormone is released, the more it breaks down our bodies collagen and elastin fibers.  In turn, those stretched out fibers and collagen gets pushed from their original spots and more outward against the skin, causing those unsightly dimples and puckering where there was none previously.

Are You Doing Enough to Solve the Problem of Cellulite?

Disclaimer:  This is a sponsored post for Daring Beaute.

Woman with stomach exposed.jpeg
There are ways to manage the problem of cellulite.

No woman likes cellulite spoiling her figure.  However, if you suddenly noticed more of that dimpled, grapefruit-like skin when you squeezed a section of your thigh, then a variety of reasons could have contributed to it.

Think about your diet.  Perhaps, you changed your eating habits due to a busy schedule or stress and just grabbed something from a vending machine or slapped together a sandwich and filled up your hunger with a bag of greasy chips for instance because there was no time for a proper meal.  Then again, maybe you put yourself on a fad diet to lose weight and ate hardly enough that would satisfy your cat–let alone your body that needs balanced nutrition.  Both of these abrupt changes could also have something to do with seeing more.

Winter keeps us indoors more and less active than during warmer weather.  Unless you’re a snow bunny, you probably are spending more time sitting watching television or whatever else you like to do when stuck in the house. So what else could be having something to do with the increase in cellulite is this new sedentary lifestyle.

You can also blame a new cellulite sighting on female hormones, which love to play havoc also with fresh breakouts often at the same time.

The important thing to remember is cellulite is a reoccurring condition.  To best manage it, you need to improve circulation to help flush out those trapped toxins and fats from your system and keep on doing it.

Vigorous dry scrubbing on the cellulite helps stimulate the affected areas to get things moving and start the process.  Scrubs to draw the water through the connective tissue helps get rid of impurities like the homemade caffeine scrub I shared with you earlier is another.

If you want something less messy and more convenient, you could also use cellulite creams that have active ingredients that can do the same thing to force the toxins and fats out.  A very effective cream is the one I am using from one of my sponsors, Daring Beaute with their Cellu Burner that came in their Luxury Slim Pack (an entire system I reviewed earlier that also comes with body brush, body massager and slimming leggings).  Helpful information on  cellulite is also available at their website as well.  Check it out!

Reshape Your Body in Time for the Holidays With Daring Beaute’s Luxury Slim Pack! (Review)

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post for Daring Beaute.

Daring Beaute's.jpeg
Be a daring beauty!

I, like most women, have a cellulite problem. Despite my best efforts, I am always battling this disgusting condition that results in lumpy deposits of fat and waste trapped beneath the skin.  This never-ending cycle comes from our unique female hormones, which we have no control over. Though as grim as that fact is, I tried an amazing multi-step treatment from a company called Daring Beaute that definitely helps smooth out that dimpled skin and improve the look of your figure.

The products that I used were the ones in their Luxury Slim Pack. This consists of the Cellu Burner anti-cellulite cream, a body brush, a body massager, and slimming leggings.

All I did to start seeing changes was following the direction by starting dry brushing with the body brush and body massager twice a week before I bathed to stimulate circulation and prepare for the treatment.   You can alternate these tools, but I used them both.

Afterwards, I applied the Cellu Burner from the waist to the bottom of calves and concentrated on the thighs and buttock, the worst eyesores. This product has a patented solution called BODYFIT and guarana, which is five times more powerful than caffeine for drawing out the toxins and fat deposits while firming.

As soon as you rub that massaged skin with the Cellu Burner, you can feel some warmth as I slipped on the slimming leggings, the final step in this treatment. This is hardly uncomfortable only such that you feel like the product is doing something.

The stretchy slimming leggings help compress the treated fatty areas and further heat the cellulite.  I got the small, which fit this size six body perfectly.  You are meant to wear them for two hours a day.  At the beginning, I wore them for most of the day while working on the computer until my next bath.  I started noticing less grapefruit like skin when squeezed. Also, I must say that the skin that I had treated felt softer as well.

Here are both sizes of the Slimming Leggings from Daring Beaute that I was sent.
I later tried exercising once I had the Cellu Burner and slimming leggings to see if I could speed up the burning of the cellulite.  You probably will think this is silly, but I can swear my problem areas looked even better.

Over the weeks that I have been using this Luxury Slim Pack, I watched my body change with less cellulite more with each session.  While these products will not banish cellulite forever since it is natural part of our female chemistry, Daring Beaute’s multi-step treatment will keep that cellulite beautifully at bay.

Any woman would do herself a favor by visiting Daring Beaute’s website.   You can buy the products separately or take advantage of the current slashed half price of $59.50.

The Luxury Slim Pack  would make a great gift for yourself or someone on your holiday gift shopping list!

My Homemade Cellulite Coffee Scrub Helps With a Smoother Appearance!

Coffee and coffee beans.jpeg
Coffee is delicious as a beverage but quite helpful when it comes to combating cellulite.

Cellulite is a problem for most women. Our attempt trying to flush out those trapped fat and toxins that make for that uneven, dimpled skin is an ongoing battle for us.  However, if you ever investigated ingredients of some of those high price cellulite creams for this problem, you might come to notice that caffeine shows up in quite a few of them.

The reason caffeine can help smooth out those unsightly humps and bumps is because it has the power to temporarily increase blood flow to the skin’s surface as it tightens skin so it can flush the water in the connective tissue. You might think of caffeine as your body’s own liquid plumber.

My recipe that I want to share with you won’t get rid of your cellulite forever because your body will keep building more. You just need to keep at it with new batches of my scrub, which will at least keep this problem at bay for you.

You don’t have to waste money on using fresh ground coffee for my recipe unless you want to.  I brew a pot to enjoy first before saving my used and cooled coffee grounds for this purpose.

You will spread this grainy paste on first, then cover the area with a plastic wrap, leaving on for at 30 minutes before scrubbing with it.

What this scrub does is help increase circulation and tone as it softens the skin in the process.  I do hope you try it and see for yourself what a better appearance you’ll have when you examine yourself in a full-length mirror.

My Homemade Cellulite Coffee Scrub

3 tablespoons of olive oil
3 tablespoons of wheat germ oil
½ cup of coffee grounds

Mix the coffee grounds, olive oil and wheat germ oil together in a bowl to form a thick, grainy paste.

Stand in your tub as you apply this scrub. Keep your plastic wrap handy and then wrap the treated area.  Keep this wrap on for about 30 minutes and then report back to the bathroom for scrubbing with it, using upward, circular motions.  Keep working at those scrubbing motions for about five to ten minutes.

Rinse off with warm water and finish bathing as usual.

DS Laboratories Oligo. DX Cellulite Reducing Gel.jpeg
DS Laboratories Oligo. DX Cellulite Reducing Gel.

Though it feels like winter will never end, warm weather will arrive before you know it, which means time to take out the swimsuits and shorts. I hate to admit this, but working all day on the computer hasn’t been exactly kind to my backside. The way I saw it was that I had two choices, I either looked for a way to get rid of this extra cellulite or give up on wearing shorts and swimsuits this year.

When DS Laboratories approached about reviewing some of their products, I noticed they had a cellulite product that sounded promising called Oligo.DX Cellulite Reducing Gel. To begin with, it did not require much time to do and worked differently than other cellulite products that I used in the past.

This one was designed with ingredients to deeply penetrate the tissues and dissolve that trapped dimpled fat and dispose of it through darker urine. As I understand it, the reason for this capability is because of a highly effective delivery system that uses very tiny burrowing nanosomes to get the job done.

Unlike other cellulite solutions, this product did not require any dry brushing or massaging first. All that was necessary was to rub some of the cream on. The idea that I didn’t have to waste a lot of timing preparing first before using the product worked for me, especially since my guy jokes that I am almost connected to the computer like a part of the Borg Collective of Star Trek.

The company claims this product will most likely show results in two weeks of daily use. It also clearly stated over time cellulite would come back once discontinuing use of the product.  Nonetheless, it is only a fair assumption as your body forms new cellulite.

I used the cream once a day after my shower. I didn’t notice anything for the first few times I rubbed some of this cream on. I felt disappointed, but knew I was expecting too much, too soon. Therefore, I kept on rubbing. No joke, I did start seeing some changes on my eleventh day.

Two lumpy areas, one on my upper thigh and the other, on the back of my other thigh, looked smoother.  You can imagine my excitement because I distinctly remembered those humps were bigger! Feeling a wonderful rush, I kept rubbing and am still rubbing.

I am seeing less cellulite than before I started. However, the cellulite is not all gone–but it has improved.  In fact, I consider my body still a work in progress. I will continue with Oligo.DX and am hopeful about what may be possible by the end of this tube.

Are you ready for summer? If not, then do learn more about Oligo.DX Cellulite Reducing Gel from DS Laboratories. It can give you more confidence in time for swimsuit season!

Some Helpful Strategies to Fight Cellulite and Increase Circulation!

Despite being slim, a woman can still suffer from cellulite.  In fact, 90% of women have it somewhere on their body.  Our unique female hormones, especially estrogen plays a large role in why we are especially cursed with this problem.  Of course, other factors can cause cellulite such as diet, inactivity, metabolism, dehydration, and heredity, which can also contribute to those trapped toxins under our skin.

There are two types of cellulite to deal with.  The first is the softer variety of fluid fats, which is easier to get rid of.  However, the second type is more of a challenge to solve.  This is the firmer, more condensed cellulite that builds up beneath the skin to give those budges and dimpled skin when squeezed.

Though as hopeless as it may sound, there are things we can do to help fight cellulite and increase our circulation.  Making a habit to use these tips on a daily basis may not completely help you eliminate every trace of cellulite, but it will definitely improve your appearance.  Equally important, these suggestions will give you a better chance of preventing new cellulite from forming.

For starters, you should invest in a body brush and start dry brushing your legs, thighs, and backside daily before bathing.   Another is thoroughly massaging those specific areas to help with the circulation.  Pretend you are kneading bread dough when you are grabbing and working that skin to get that blood moving.  A rolling pin is another thought to help you do the job.  Always use upward movements in the direction of your heart when brushing, rolling or working your hands.

Following that intense stimulation to those areas, a good idea is to give the legs, thighs, and your bottom a treatment with a scrub to further dislodge those trapped fats.  After all, you already started the process of exfoliating and moving the cellulite.

Sitting too long doesn't help either.  Try to get up about once an hour or every so often and just walk around the room or office for as little as five minutes can help.

Crossing your legs is bad news.  You are stopping circulation and contributing to the formation of cellulite by doing so.  Remembering to avoid that position will help.

Caffeine and carbonated beverages are no friends of the cellulite prone.  These drinks have the ability to restrict blood flow so those toxins stay put in your system instead of circulating.  Water and beverages like herbal teas and fruit juices are safer bets.

Getting more exercise is important.  In fact, the harder your workout, the more help you have to banish that harder, compact cellulite.  Strenuous activity will speed up your metabolism and boost your circulation effectively.  Perfect to speed up your heart rate and tone you at the same time are activities like brisk walking and running.  Dancing is another enjoyable way to get that exercise.  Whatever your preference the important thing to remember is not to overdo unless you want to risk injury.

Niacin (vitamin B3) helps with circulation.  Though it is a water-soluble vitamin and will not be stored in your body, you still need to be careful not to overdose.   Nonetheless, you could be lacking this important vitamin to help flush those toxins out. The recommended daily amount for a woman is 16 mg.  Do not exceed 50 mg. or you can harm your organs.  The wisest course is to check with your doctor about a possible deficiency and an appropriate safe dosage.

Look for vitamins that have an industry standard for some form of self regulation such as having the USP (United States Pharmaceutical) seal to best protect yourself.  You may think the government regulates the vitamin industry, but just because you see brands sold on store shelves where you shop doesn't mean they are as safe as you believe.  Be a cautious consumer and read the label.  Otherwise, you have no idea what sort of can of worms that you could open if you choose badly.

I wish that I could say I am cellulite free, but I am working on it and am seeing progress.  What I have shared here are ways that have helped me battle cellulite--and I hope also will help you as well.

Prana SpaCeuticals Attar Firming Body Milk

With bathing suit season just around the corner, I think it's important to be as proud of your body as you can.  Whether you have a perfect shape or have figure flaws like many of us, you could still be carrying around some lumpy cellulite.  Unless you firm up those problem spots, if you intend to show a lot of skin with a new skimpy bikini, you could spoil the look with that unflattering, orange peel type skin.

Fear not, ladies, I'm already on it because firming up that cellulite is a problem for me. My particular curse is thighs, making me the ideal candidate to see how well a firming product would work like the one Prana SpaCeuticals sent to me for review with their Attar Firming Body Milk.

The star ingredient in this body lotion is the glaucine.  According to some research, when it comes to helping with anti-cellulite, glaucine is better equipped to empty cells and secret cellulite instead of storing it in the skin with that lumpy grapefruit texture.  Glaucine  in stimulating lipolysis to drain those pockets of toxins and fat sounded promising along with Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract to increase circulation and more blood flow to help in the process made sense to me. In addition, this lotion has lots of antioxidants, highly refined oils such as grape seed oil, almond oil, sunflower seed oil, vitamins, and several natural anti-inflammatory ingredients for more benefits.

I was immediately drawn to its lovely scent once I pumped this lightweight lotion out.  There was no sticky feeling left on my skin either just what I rubbed felt silkier and more supple.  It took about ten days for me to see improvement with more firmer, and less jello-looking thighs.

You won't find all your other humps and bumps gone if you have them, but you will see a wonderful difference in pulling the area together while giving your skin more elasticity and softness.  If you're like me and need to fix the look of your problem area, then I recommend trying Prana SpaCeuticals Attar Firming Body Milk and see how well it works firsthand because I know you will appreciate what it can do.

The 8-fl. oz. bottle retails for $28.

Regardless of how much a woman weighs, she probably will complain about cellulite somewhere on her thighs, stomach, and buttock.  After all, women are genetically prone to be more likely targets for those ugly deposits of fat and trapped waste than men.  If you wonder why  we are the lucky recipients to this body spoiler, then you need to blame a part of the problem due to our unique connective tissue that helps us form those unsightly lumps of cottage cheese-like dimpled skin.

Though there are still many questions as to whether cellulite products can fix this problem, I can assure you from personal experience with French beauty brand, Melvita, that their Algascience Exfoliating Soap before using their Contouring Serum that I reviewed earlier will help you see a smoother, more improved image when looking in that full-length mirror since they do stimulate the circulation.  This is critical for better moving what is trapped beneath the surface of your skin.

The Algascience Exfoliating Bath Bar is plant-based and harnesses the power of red seaweed particles and lichen carrageheen that when hit with water expand for a better massage when working these cellulite plagued areas with its grainy texture.  To condition as well, this big bar of 8.82 oz. has Shea butter and essential oils of hybrid lavender and litsea cubeba.

Whether what is stirred up when working that cellulite is toxins or fat or a combination, I have no idea but this bar and accompanying serum are important to get that blood circulating through your system to help flush this rubbish out.  All I can say is the texture when pinching my thighs and backside seemed to take on a better appearance especially when I followed their Algascience Contouring Serum when I routinely began using them, which makes me a fan!

Do check these Algascience Exfoliating Bath Bar and Contouring Serum out from Melvita and decide for yourself because I do think you will like them.

Melvita's Algascience Contouring Serum Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Melvita's Algascience Contouring Serum.jpeg
Melvita's Algascience Contouring Serum

Although there is debate whether cellulite products really can break down fatty deposits that always seem to find a way to our thighs, hips, and backsides, I do know what I have been testing from organic beauty brand, Melvita with their Algascience Contouring Serum does help smooth those unsightly dimpled areas for a better appearance.

The science behind this product works with the biological rhythms of the body and incorporates a specially formulated smart system of a 3-seaweed complex of Corralline (to burn fat cells and prevent storage of it), Palmaria (for drainage of that fat), and Fucus along with Caffeine (for contouring).

Although it is recommended to use their Exfoliating Soap first to prepare the targeted areas, I only received the serum.  However, I used a body brush and followed with a massaging device with rubber teeth to get the circulation going.

I had used a loofah in the past with other cellulite products to prepare before I applied this type of product, but I do not like the germs I later learned they harbor.  You can also use a rolling pin over those humps and bumps first, which also does stimulate the blood flow.

Once I stepped out of the shower both morning and night, I worked my hand over those bad spots and pinched and kneaded for about five minutes for extra blood flow before applying the Algascience Contouring Serum.  I rubbed that serum in those areas using circular motions until it dried.

After several weeks now, I did notice improvement from that former grapefruit texture.  I can't say everything has smoothed  to perfection or for how long this effect will last since you are advised to use their recommended Slimming Oil to maintain those results, but the skin does look smoother and firmer than before I began using this product.  What woman wouldn't like that end result when looking in a full-length mirror?  Therefore, I am pleased!

*Disclaimer:  This is my own honest opinion.  A free product was provided to facilitate this review.*

Fight Cellulite Naturally and Show Off Those Legs!

Ask any woman about cellulite and she will probably tell you she has it too.  Most of us have that problem with those ugly dimpled thighs.  However, there are a few things women can do to get rid of those fatty deposits and wastes trapped beneath the skin to give that orange peel effect.

The number one recommendation is to drink as much water as you can with a few drops of lemon juice throughout the day.  Your goal is about three liters of water.  If you spread this water out through the day, you will be surprised at how much easier it is to fit.

For easier measuring of that water, you can clean out a liter bottle and fill with water.  Reload when it's empty to make that amount a more simple task to remember.  The purpose of drinking so much water is to force those fat deposits out of your system.

The number two recommendation is to get greasy fried foods out of your diet, which interfere with blood circulation and lymph drainage, responsible for that lumpy skin.

The number three recommendation is eating more green vegetables and limiting your calories to about 1200 a day.  Foods like celery, broccoli and asparagus help lessen water retention.

Last of the recommendations are to get physical at least thirty minutes with aerobic exercise and resistance training.  This amount of time is enough to burn fat.
