How to Fix Hair Serum Overload When You Are in a Rush and Need Beautiful Hair

Perhaps, you started a new brand of hair serum.  You apply some just as you would normally like your last brand, but somehow it doesn’t add the same amount of gloss.  Frustrated now, you decide to apply just a little more, hoping it would finally provide that glistening shine that you were promised. The only problem is instead of making your hair look better, but you got the opposite.  Your hair now looks greasy.  So what are your options?

You might be tempted to give yourself a fresh wet or dry shampoo and start all over, but you are short on time.  Still, there is a quick way to get that rid of that slickness that you may not have thought of–-hair spray!  
Hair spray can get that greasy gunk out of your strands because of its ability to absorb oil.  However, the only variety that is capable of the job is a non-aerosol pump spray since the product won’t instantly evaporate like the fine mist that aerosols deliver.

The next time you find yourself in this predicament, the easiest thing to do is to divide your hair in sections and then spray one area at a time.  Before you move on, take out your hair dryer and blast it for about a minute or so.  This does help clean up the hair very nicely.

Are You Having Problems of Your Hair Looking Greasy After Applying Shine Serums?

You may not think it matters how you apply shine serum to your hair, but it can mean the difference between a glossy mane and a greasy one.  So if you kept blaming products for causing this problem, then chances are it’s more technique and the amount of serum that is unevenly distributed and lands mostly in one spot over other places that is the real culprit.

Instead of pouring some shine serum into the palm of your hand and rubbing the product across the top of your head, you got to change your ways because this is how a greasy head happens.  This is why your hair will look dirty and greasy by the second day.

To prevent this problem and really get the maximum benefit from shine serums, try pouring some shine serum in the palm of your hand like before, only be sure to rub your palms together first. Doing so, makes sure the serum is spread out more evenly.  Afterwards, apply it from the midshaft to the ends in those places that you need it most for the best results.

You might find it more helpful to work with two-inch sections on each side of your head.  Beginning at the bottom of a section, try swiping a section at a time with some of that serum on top as well as under that gathered portion of hair, holding each section lightly as you go between your palms.   

Be gentle with how you maintain that hold.  If you grip that section too hard, you will run out of that already prepared serum that you will need to do the rest of your hair.  You also might end up with overloading that section of your hair with too much serum.

Try this little hair trick and you'll never have that same problem again!
