Hot sauce can perk up flavor and help the body burn more calories.

A taste that I never get tired of is hot and spicy. If you also share my passion, then you need to subscribe to Fuego Box, the artisan hot sauce subscription.  You will experience flavors that will please you beyond belief.

The cost of Fuego Box is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  You also receive an informational card relating to the sauces and how to best enjoy each.

For example, my latest box just arrived with a new trio of deliciousness starting with Da Kine Hawaiian Hot Mustard Sauce.  This is a sweeter combo of mustard and hot sauce in a cayenne pepper blend with pineapple juice that was awesome on my hamburger yesterday. It’s not overly hot and the tropical sweetness gives it a nice edge, especially for meats, sandwiches, eggs, etc.

August also brought Isabel Street Heat’s Cilantro Lime Serrano.  This hot sauce is fermented for a few months and has cilantro and lime juice to the peppers to maximize flavor.  It’s a milder, but lively burn that was wonderful on my scrambled eggs.

Hotter Than El’s 24 Karat Gold is golden fire in a bottle from its mix of habanero peppers, carrots and garlic. This sauce is delicious for dips, nachos and firing up my chili.

If you haven’t tried this hot sauce subscription yet, but love the taste of hot and spicy, I suggest a visit to Fuego Box is in order!

There is a lot of combustible flavor excitement in this special collection Fuego Box!

If you are addicted to hot and spicy flavors, now is the time to open your seasoned taste buds to Fuego Box’s Screaming Mimi trio of 2017 hot sauce champions–-that is, if you’re up to the challenge from this hot sauce subscription box.

To start your screaming journey to deliciousness, there is the Dirty Dicks Hot Pepper Sauce to enjoy.  This one was the 2017 Grand Champion from the Screaming Mimi event in NYC Hot Sauce Expo.  The taste of this tropical spicy fire erupts quickly from this artful blend of habanero peppers, fruits and spices and was a perfect compliment to my scrambled eggs this morning. This one is suitable for chicken, sandwiches, burgers or adding to your recipes.

The sauce that won first place in the Jalapeno category was Hellfire Gourmet Green  Hot Sauce.  This used Granny Smith apples, garlic, lime, scallions and spices to bring more to jalapeno peppers and wicked Carolina Reaper peppers.  All I can say is yum!  I sampled some on my burger, but this will be good on a lot of things.  Next, I am going to use some in my salad.

Last, but not least, is the 2017 Hot Sauce Hall of Fame Inductee of Gator Hammock Gator Sauce.  This blasts wicked heat through a secret blend of spices to pack a lot of flavor and yet without an excessive burn that will make you run for a glass of milk.    I consider this sauce versatile to use with eggs, fish, chicken or sandwiches.  It’s just up to you to explore.

The cost for a Fuego Box  is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  You also get an informational card about the sauces and recommended foods to go along with each sauce.

Trust me, you can’t find sauces like this in your typical grocery store because these hot sauces from Fuego Box come from all over the country. Check this hot sauce subscription out and dive into your wild side!

Fuego Box April 2017 Review

I never was aware of so many different varieties of hot sauces existed until Fuego Box.

Happy days are here again with the arrival of my latest Fuego Box.  This month’s savory trio of spicy heat from the hot sauce subscription brought more unique ways to fire up the tongue with flavor.

If you also love your foods extra hot, then you need to check out Fuego Box because it has the best unusual, small-batch, artisan hot sauces that I have come across.  Trust me, you can’t easily find what this subscription box puts together in your typical grocery store because these come from all over the country. The cost is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  You also get an informational card about the sauces and recommended foods to go along with each sauce.  Furthermore, you can also buy one box at time for just $12.95 with a $5.00 shipping fee.

April brought Maple Oatmeal Stout Craft Beer Hot Sauce from the Butterfly Bakery of Vermont.  This is a medium heat  jalapeno pepper-based sauce that has oatmeal stout, maple syrup along with white vinegar and spices.  For someone that hates to drink beer, I wasn’t sure that I would care for this mildly sweet sauce. However, it was really delicious on my scrambled eggs.  Next, I plan trying some on a veggie burger later today.

Hoff Sauce is a tasty everyday jalapeno with habanerno pepper sauce that has nice nip to it.  This one is quite hot, but won’t burn the inside of your mouth so much that you’ll miss its fantastic flavor.

Finally, I found a yellow colored one with turmeric called No. 23 from Corine’s Cuisine, which was quite different.  This one also has Scotch bonnet peppers, lots of garlic, shallots as well in its savory mix. I sampled this one for the first time on my cheese sandwich and it was quite good.

Honestly, if you love hot sauce, Fuego Box is wonderful with what you can experience.  In fact, this hot sauce subscription makes a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift if that special lady likes to turn up the heat of her food.

Hot, spicy flavors that are distinctive!

Before I was aware of Fuego Box, I had no idea that so many different varieties of artisan hot sauce existed. Fortunately, with this hot sauce subscription, any lover of fiery flavor constantly keeps discovering new, unique brands that I dare you to find easily on your own like the trio in my October 2016 assortment.

In the selection this month, I savored Horsetooth Smokestack Lightning Hot Sauce.  Dark, reddish-brown, this one is enhanced with smoky flavor, chipotle peppers, cayenne and plenty of garlic that lends something special to your plate.  I consider this a moderate burn and a perfect sandwich spread to perk up any cheese or luncheon meat from the first time I tried it.  A few shakes on a slice of pizza were also yummy from my second taste test.
