Get That Perfect Shade of Nude Lipstick From What You Have!

How many times have you bought a shade of nude lipstick only to find it washed out your coloring with too much beige?  Instead of bothering to return it or stashing it away with your growing collection of bad makeup choices, I want to tell you how to customize that unflattering shade and turn it into the ideal nude.

perfect customized nude shade.jpeg
Experiment and blend to create a customized nude like this one!

All that is called for is looking through your lip gloss stash for a sheer pink gloss to layer over it.  You won’t believe how wonderfully you can transform the original dull shade just with an extra dose of healthier color to liven it up.

If the end result of that nude-pink tone is still too ghostly for your skin, then reach into your assortment of lip gloss again and try a deeper pink gloss instead!

I hope you try this little makeup tip because you will solve this mistake easily and get a lot more mileage out of your makeup bag

The IT Girl Set Limited Edition CC+ Lip Serum Holiday Collection Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

The IT Girl Set.jpeg
Here is a photo of the IT Girl Set.

Aging is not particularly kind to women.  Besides dealing with creases that are settling in and changes in our complexion, lips thin.  A way around that particular problem is with The IT Girl CC+ Lip Serum Limited Edition Holiday Collection that I have been using from one of my favorite companies, IT Cosmetics.

This IT Girl Set ($39.50) has three of their awesome CC+ lip serums in Snow Bunny (sheer pale pink), Joy to the World (pinkish berry-plum) and Under the Mistletoe (sheer red raspberry). I think these lovely shades would be loved by most, but my favorite was a tie between Under the Mistletoe and Joy to the World for how those colors lit up my fair complexion.

The amazing thing about this trio is that your lips get beautiful color while receiving a treatment to heal and hydrate with anti-aging ingredients such as collagen, peptides, hyaluronic acid, essential butters, and oils.  These lip serums are also intended to deal with lip lines and for color correcting.

Take it from me, these lip serums really are wonderful products with what they can do. My dry lips instantly felt that soothing moisture coming to the rescue and were left in better condition afterwards.  Furthermore, these have a pleasing, non-sticky texture, which is just as important to me.

If you haven’t ever tried any of the CC+ lip serums from IT Cosmetics, I truly do recommend them. In fact, this set is a great place to start at a bargain price.  If purchased separately, this $39.50 priced set would run $72!

Find the IT Girl Set Limited Edition CC+ Lip Serum Holiday Collection at IT Cosmetics, QVC and qvc.com as well as ULTA stores and ulta.com.  Check it out!

Hard Candy Cosmetics All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stains Collection Review + ($60) Giveaway!–Ends October 27, 2014

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Hard Candy Cosmetics hydrating lip stains.jpeg
Starting on the left  is 808 Cupcake (medium bright pink), 607 Mavelous (rosy pink), 608 Chic (peach-nude), 604 Red Minx (tomato red), 779 Tickled Pink (light baby-doll pink), and 778 Sand Castle (nude), 606 Pout (perky pink-red), and ending with 791 Fair Lady (beige-nude) on the right.

I have become an ardent fan of lip crayons for all they can do for keeping lips moist in addition to beautifying with color. However, I had never tried any made by Hard Candy Cosmetics until I received their collection of All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stains for this review and giveaway.

These All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stains are fat, retractable crayons that double as lip gloss and stain. Furthermore, they come in a rainbow of gorgeous colors.  I got twelve (the entire collection at the time), but three more were released since then.  With these shades you can go from daytime to looks that are playful or all out glam.

Hard Candy uncapped lip stains.jpeg
Going from left to right is 923 Zappy (raspberry-pink), 920 Perky (cool violet-pink), 922 Pulse (red-orange), and ending with 921 Mystic (lavender).

Besides feeling so lightweight and soothing against my lips from the formula’s non-drying silicone base, I liked that these crayons delivered more of a slick, flavorless tint than heavy coverage.

As far as the amount of wear to expect, I estimate about three to four hours at most before it fades and transforms into more of a glorious stain.  You may though want to reapply for that comfortable feeling as I did, but it is not necessary.

Hard Candy Cosmetics All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stains ($5) are available at Walmart or on walmart.com.  Check these lippies out!

Review + Swatches: Mirenesse Cosmetics NEW Award-Winning Lip Bomb Candy Collection

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Mirenesse Cosmetics five Lip Bomb Candy Collection.jpeg
From left to right pictured are Lip Bomb #32, #36, #35, #34, and ending with #33 on the right.

I have tried a lot of fabulous lip products, but the new Lip Bomb Candy Collection from Mirenesse Cosmetics goes beyond extraordinary.  This Australian beauty brand has created what I consider the perfect groundbreaking style for lips in this line that combines gloss, stain and lacquer in highly pigmented, vibrant shades.

This newly launched collection is available in six fashion forward colors.  I was sent five of those to review that include #35 a captivating, bold fuschia, #32 a cinnamon-red, #34 a stunning coral-pink, #33 a juicy strawberry-red, and #36, a bright white to mix and create custom shades.  The range of these delectable colors is glorious enough to paint your lips with intensity that will mirror precious jewels.

These lippies come in a clear bullet-shaped tube.  The stunning colors showing through the tubes are pretty much what you can expect to see on your own lips.  Vivid, rich colors with intensity of a liquid lipstick are how I would describe them.

The product has an unusual hourglass-shaped sponge wand, which picks up enough product without needing to keep inserting it.  I really thought the design simplified application nicely.

As to the feel, the Lip Bomb 3-in1 Glossy Lacquer Stain was creamy and comfortable on my lips with a slight mint taste.  The formula never made my lips feel dry or sticky, only moisturized with vitamin E and botanical oils.  Furthermore, I experienced no feathering or caking.

Below I modeled the shades for you.

What do you think of #34?  This one happens to be my favorite, so perfect for Spring!

Mirenesse Cosmetics #35 Lip Bomb Candy.jpeg
This hot shade is #35.  Now how can you resist?
Mirenesse Cosmetics #33 Lip Bomb Candy.jpeg
Here I am modeling #33.

The luxurious formula can wear for hours.  However, it does eventually migrate over the course of day from a lacquer to a striking stain.

With all this going for it, it is easy to see why this new Lip Bomb Candy Collection won the Glosscar Award for Best New Lip Gloss of 2013!   Honestly, I think Mirenesse Cosmetics made an exceptional lippie here and just love wearing them.  Now I need to order the sixth shade of brilliant gold.

Lip Bomb 3-in-1 Glossy Lacquer Stain in the Candy Collection retails for $39 each.

I highly recommend looking into these Mirenesse Cosmetics because they will help you take a giant beauty leap toward your most glamorous self.

Lip Liner Trick for Holiday Touch-Ups

The holiday season means lots of party going.  Of course, you must look at your glamorous best.

For those nights when you may be making the rounds from one party to another way into the wee hours, I have a suggestion when it comes to your mouth.

If you want to keep the color in lips looking great, then remember to bring a lip pencil along to shape and color in your fading lips.  Pack your lip gloss and top off your work and you'll look perfect again!

Whitening Lightning Color Your Smile Lip Gloss.jpeg
Whitening Lightning Color Your Smile Lip Gloss
Who doesn't want a sexy, full mouth that shimmers with juicy color and sparkling light? Finding that perfect lip gloss that can deliver such a beautiful effect can make us feel more glamorous.  Better yet, if that product happens to go on without stickiness and lasts, then we can feel at the top of our game upon stumbling on a new beauty find.  Nonetheless, how about if tell you that I know of a great multi-function lip gloss that will do all those things plus more?

Today, I want to introduce you to a stunning lip product from Whitening Lightning called Color Your Smile Lip Gloss that was sent recently for me to evaluate.  I was sent the Icicle color, a sheer dark pink that lights your lips with gleaming brilliance while it also helped give me a plump, sexier pout because of collagen peptides.  The glow radiated from within the pink itself like it was lit to new extremes.

Another thing this new lip gloss did was act like a lip treatment.  I noticed my lips also felt comfortable from the soothing moisture that lasted without bleeding.

This is a revolutionary lip gloss that will light up your life!

Whitening Lightning makes Color Your Smile Lip Gloss in the pink (Icicle), Peach (Crystal), and Bronze (Vilu) for $38.  I recommend stopping at their website to get some of your own.

Hard Candy Cosmetics Review (Undercover Agent, Glamoflauge Concealer, Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss and Giveaway!--Ends May 2, 2011

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Hard Candy Cosmetics Undercover Agent, Glamflauge Heavy Duty Concealer, Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss.jpeg
Undercover Agent, Glamflauge Heavy Duty Concealer, Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss

Hard Candy Cosmetics is a brand of makeup that I never tried until now when I was sent a few products.  Since most women suffer from dark under eye circles, I was particularly interested to see how well two of that company's under eye concealers would handle the problem.

The first product I tried that I was sent was the Undercover Agent (undereye brightener & concealer duo) in Light.   For $6.00 price, this concealer worked surprisingly well to cover the dark area without caking or that chalky look.  The cream brightener made the spreading easier and provided a nice finish.  The color, which looked darker than I normally use for a light shade, looked natural and presented no difficulty.

What I didn't like about Hard Candy  Undercover Agent was the size of the concealer itself.  You get a sample size of what you need compared to the full size tube of the brightener.  I think Hard Candy should have provided equal portions of concealer to brightener.

The second Hard Candy concealer I tried was their Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer with Concealer Pencil in Light.  For starters, this shade of light hardly matched the other shade of light.  It was paler in color when applied. My opinion of this product was that it was thick enough to cover darkness, but it also settled into some fine lines.  Using this to conceal an under eye problem would not be my choice.  However, I do love the way this product can hide a blemish.

The last Hard Candy product I experimented with was their Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss in Cake Walk 333.  This left my lips with a shimmery wash of pale pink shine while moisturizing.

*Disclaimer:  This is my own honest opinion.  No money was exchanged.  All I received were free products to review so I may express an opinion.*

Thanks to Hard Candy Cosmetics, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the United States and Canada wins all of the same three products I was sent:  Undercover Agent, (undereye brightener  & Concealer Duo (Light), Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer with Concealer Pencil (Light), and the Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss in Cake Walk 333.
