Review + Swatches: Mineral Fusion Illuminating Glow & Go Mineral Beauty Balm for Some Healthier Glam!

You'll appreciate how nice skin looks while Mineral Fusion's Illuminating Beauty Balm is on, but also once you take it off!

When looking for a fast Summer beauty fix, my opinion is that you can never go wrong with a great BB cream with all the multitasking it can do.  A wonderful one that I have been using lately was Mineral Fusion’s Glow & Go Mineral Beauty Balm.  I chose the Illuminating formula.  They also have a Perfecting formula as well. 

This balm targets anti-aging needs with marvelous ingredients like magnesium, zinc, and copper for cell revitalization and vitamin C, pomegranate and white tea.  A mineral peptide blend specifically studied for its effectiveness to boost the growth of connective tissues, naturally stimulates collagen production is for completing the process in helping the skin regenerate.  At the same time, licorice root extract, aloe leaf juice, sunflower oil and lavender help the skin feel hydrated and smooth while also protecting with natural mineral SPF 9  from titanium dioxide. 

The texture of this Illuminating variety formula feels luxurious and not thin or hardly sheer when it comes out of the tube.  It is a rich tinted cream that has enough beautiful makeup coverage to nearly perfect the skin of pores for the most part with a satin finish and also helps conceal some under eye darkness as it gives an underlying glow of added brightness.  

Furthermore, I had it on from morning until late afternoon without it gathering in my laugh lines or making me greasy looking.  Once I did take it off, my skin looked somewhat nicer, which is something that doesn't happen with most typical makeup.  

This universal color of Mineral Fusion's Illuminating Beauty Balm is a bit dark as you can see.  It does lighten up more when you blend it in.

The only thing that I wished Mineral Fusion would do is make more shades, instead of just two to satisfy all the shades women come in.  I am on the fair side and this universal shade was somewhat dark for me without a tan. Those that are light to medium would probably find the shade better suited.  If you have darker skin, then this one shade may be a bit pale on you.

Review: Mustela Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ Mineral Sunscreens and After Sun Hydrating Spray for Sensitive Baby Skin!

Cancer such as Melanoma can target anyone so it's best to be protected.  

Though I do not have a baby at home, I do have quite sensitive skin with my allergies.    When I shop for sunscreens, I do tend to drift to the section with the sunscreens meant for babies since my skin can often react to ingredients in regular formulas. 

When I was approached by Mustela to test their new sunscreen products, I never heard of the company, but like the avoidance of chemicals and loved the fact that these sunscreens were approved by the Melanoma International Foundation. Therefore, I was glad to give their mineral-based sunscreens a try.

The lotion and stick form of their Mustela Broad Spectrum SPF50+ Mineral Sunscreens use titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to block those harmful rays.  Being formulated as a physical sunscreen, they also are free of parabens, phthalates, phenoxyethanols, fragrances, and PABA.  Besides being hypoallergenic and formulated with delicate skin in mind, they also are water and sweat-resistant for up to 40 minutes.

Their Mustela Broad Spectrum SPF50+ Mineral Sunscreen Lotion ($22) was creamy and absorbed nicely without irritating my face or the rest of me.  The product was even gentle enough around the eye area.  It does leave a slight white film, but it was hardly a problem since others have a tendency to make me look greasier.  

If you want something convenient to pack in your handbag, tote, or suitcase, I thought the Mustela Broad Spectrum SPF50+ Mineral Sunscreen Stick ($16) was wonderful.  I liked how easy it was when you needed to reapply.  

The Mustela After Sun Hydrating Spray ($15) after some time in the sun helped comfort my tight skin with welcome moisture relief from its jojoba oil and Cupuacu butter. My skin felt softer without being sticky or overly greasy.

I do recommend these Mustela sunscreen products out so do check their website and give them a try yourself.

A Quick Tip to Beautify Hair Before You Hit the Beach!

If are heading to the beach this summer, I have a wonderful tip how to give your hair a deep conditioning treatment at the same time that you’re having fun.  Pack a tiny bottle or packet of hair conditioner and carry it along with you in your tote with your wide-toothed comb. 

After you take a plunge in the ocean and tire from swimming, apply the conditioner liberally while the hair is still wet before you prepare to work on your tan.  By doing so, you will be multitasking in giving your hair a beneficial treatment effortlessly while you are relaxing.

Thanks to the warmth of the sun, the effects of the conditioner are enhanced.  What you will find is split ends look better and the rest of your hair is softer and more manageable instead of crispy, sunbaked and beachy-looking.
