Rimmel BB Cream Radiance (Light) Review

Rimmel BB Cream Radiance.jpeg
Rimmel BB Cream Radiance delivers more of a natural fresh finish.

What I like about BB creams is that they do what normal foundations do for coverage, only with added skin care benefits of smoothing, toning, moisturizing and evening out the complexion all in one product.  I had never tried Rimmel’s BB Creams yet so I thought to start with their BB Cream Radiance.

Two shades are available from Light to Medium, but I thought Light would be the best option for my fair to light complexion.  The shade was a good choice because it matched my warm tone without being too yellow or pink, but more neutral.

Unlike some other BB creams that I had tried in the past, this one from Rimmel had a thicker than thinner consistency.  The texture felt light on the skin.  The coverage I got was light and natural looking, but you can layer if needed for extra concealing.

When I initially applied the BB Cream Radiance in the morning it did smooth and give my dry complexion a slightly dewy finish without looking obvious like I was wearing a foundation for the hours I wore it.  I don’t know how this formula will work for someone with an oily complexion, but for me it did what I needed to perfect the look of my skin.

I liked this Rimmel BB Cream Radiance for what it did for me, but if you prefer more of a matte finish there is another Rimmel BB Cream Matte and their Original BB Cream, which I haven’t tried yet.

More and more, I have been turning to BB creams for their amazing multitasking purposes.  I really love how they can protect, moisturize and provide a lightweight, but glowing coverage all in one product like my latest find of Laura Geller's BB Cream Beauty Balm Broad Spectrum SPF 21.

The formula has a lot going for it from mineral sunscreens such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide too anti-aging, skin saving antioxidants with the ginseng root, ginkgo biloba besides vitamins A and E.  Licorice root is also among the ingredients, added for its power to brighten and improve skin tone.

Review + Swatches: Mineral Fusion Illuminating Glow & Go Mineral Beauty Balm for Some Healthier Glam!

Disclaimer: This post is based on a free product provided by a company as a press sample so that I may offer my own opinion, which may be the same or differ from yours.

You'll appreciate how nice skin looks while Mineral Fusion's Illuminating Beauty Balm is on, but also once you take it off!

When looking for a fast Summer beauty fix, my opinion is that you can never go wrong with a great BB cream with all the multitasking it can do.  A wonderful one that I have been using lately was Mineral Fusion’s Glow & Go Mineral Beauty Balm.  I chose the Illuminating formula.  They also have a Perfecting formula as well.

This balm targets anti-aging needs with marvelous ingredients like magnesium, zinc, and copper for cell revitalization and vitamin C, pomegranate and white tea.  A mineral peptide blend specifically studied for its effectiveness to boost the growth of connective tissues, naturally stimulates collagen production is for completing the process in helping the skin regenerate.  At the same time, licorice root extract, aloe leaf juice, sunflower oil and lavender help the skin feel hydrated and smooth while also protecting with natural mineral SPF 9  from titanium dioxide.

The texture of this Illuminating variety formula feels luxurious and not thin or hardly sheer when it comes out of the tube.  It is a rich tinted cream that has enough beautiful makeup coverage to nearly perfect the skin of pores for the most part with a satin finish and also helps conceal some under eye darkness as it gives an underlying glow of added brightness.

Furthermore, I had it on from morning until late afternoon without it gathering in my laugh lines or making me greasy looking.  Once I did take it off, my skin looked somewhat nicer, which is something that doesn't happen with most typical makeup.

Mineral Fusion Illuminating Beauty Balm swatch.jpeg
This universal color of Mineral Fusion's Illuminating Beauty Balm is a bit dark as you can see.  It does lighten up more when you blend it in.

The only thing that I wished Mineral Fusion would do is make more shades, instead of just two to satisfy all the shades women come in.  I am on the fair side and this universal shade was somewhat dark for me without a tan. Those that are light to medium would probably find the shade better suited.  If you have darker skin, then this one shade may be a bit pale on you.

Other than that, I loved this product.  Check out the Illuminating Mineral Beauty Balm ($24.95) at Mineral Fusion or find this product at Whole Foods.

NYC New York Color’s NEW Smooth Skin BB Radiance Perfecting Powder (001 Naturally Beige) Review

This is NYC Smooth Skin BB Radiance Perfecting Powder.  Notice the pale beige tone in 001 Naturally Beige in the compact.

Since I really loved NYC New York Color Smooth Skin BB Cream for the quality of its glowing, dewy coverage, I just had to see how their newly launched Smooth Skin BB Radiance Perfecting Powder compared.  I was sent the lightest shade of this compact in 001 Naturally Beige instead of the darker, 002 Warm Beige to review.

You can use this powder alone for evening out your complexion. It does give a smooth finish without looking powdery even with dry skin.  I liked how well it hid flaws and gave a decent amount of coverage using this one product.  If you want longer lasting coverage than a few hours, you can use this powder over your BB Cream or foundation and be quite happy with it–-that is, if you have the coloring to wear it.

In the compact, 001 Naturally Beige appeared a paler beige.  What I did not like was the unnatural orange color of the shade once it went on the face.  After it touched the skin, the beige seemed to turn into something darker and quite orange.  This is the lightest choice and hardly one suitable for fair to light complexions.

Take a closer look at NYC New York Color Smooth Skin BB Radiance Perfecting Powder.

I do not know how the 002 Warm Beige shade will perform.  Perhaps, it will stay fairly close to the color in the compact.  Then again, it may also change color depending on your skin as it did mine.

NYC New York Color Smooth BB Cream is fantastic and a real steal at $3.99.  However, the company needs to add a pale shade and a lighter shade without letting it become so orange.  Other than that, Smooth Skin BB Radiance Perfecting Powder ($3.99) is a wonderful drugstore product.

Immortelle Precious BB Creme SPF 30 From L’Occitane en Provence (Fair) Review + Swatches--A New Complexion Secret!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
L'Occitane en Provence's Immortelle Precious BB Cream (Fair) product and swatch.jpeg
L'Occitane en Provence's Immortelle Precious BB Creme in 01 Pale-Fair.  If you fall in between Fair and Light, this shade is the perfect way to go. I like that it has enough beige that it worked beautifully with my coloring.

Now how happy you are with BB creams all depends on the ones you have tried.  Some as we all well know can be on the order of a tinted moisturizer with hardly any true coverage to satisfy any ongoing complexion issues.  On the other hand, there are others that can be real beauty time savers since they can brighten and give just as thorough coverage as any foundation, only while improving the complexion with its skin care ingredients and sun protection.  An exceptionally wonderful one is the new Immortelle Precious BB Creme SPF 30 from L’Occitane en Provence.

The Immortelle Precious BB Creme comes in three shades of Fair (the one that I tried), Light, and Medium. My complexion falls between fair and light, but I do have some yellow undertones.  According to the company’s description, Light would have the yellow tones better suited to my skin. However, I didn’t read that and went with the Fair since I have been finding that choice more accurate lately.

When I tried this product on, I was totally thrilled with the color for one.  It was a pale beige, only a more neutral one.  I do think I would have regretted the Light for my skin tone since it might have more orange to it.

As to this BB cream, the consistency flows out of the tube in a thin ribbon of rich cream.  This is not any runny liquid but something substantially thicker that once it touches your face it will immediately blend into your skin and become one with it.  It masks so well that you hardly see any pores while leaving you with beautiful brightness like someone just turned on a switch and lit you up from within.

The feel is so lightweight and comfortable, yet moisturizing on my dry skin.  At the same time, it wore very well while I had it on throughout the day.  It stayed put without settling into my laugh lines as some foundations can in the same amount of time and helped me look just as fresh.

I honestly love what L’Occitane en Provence has done with the Immortelle Precious Creme SPF 30 ($45). You, too, can witness a prettier complexion with this product.  You got to trust me on this–it happened for me and surely it will do the same for YOU!  Check it out.

Review: Karora Skin Sensation CC Cream

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Karora Skin Sensation CC Cream and mitt.jpeg
Karora Skin Sensation CC Cream and mitt

Getting a more beautiful complexion doesn’t have to be complicated these days.  When you want to simplify your beauty routine, a multitasking product like a CC Cream is a great alternative to perfecting your complexion.  It can serve as a foundation and skin care treatment to do more than what separate products did in the past.

When I was sought out by Irish brand, Karora, to sample their Express Bronzing Mousse Supreme Bronzette in Medium/Dark several months ago, I was surprised at how authentic my tan looked.  The natural botanicals in Karora’s formula were gentle and kept my skin soft and glowing with healthy radiance.

After that wonderful experience, I was more than curious about their Skin Sensation CC Cream, which is meant for both face and body.  Unlike that first tanning product, I wasn’t expecting as much color, more of a gradual wash of sun to tint while improving the texture and tone once again with their amazing botanicals.

The first thing that you will notice when you squeeze some Karora CC Cream out is that it has a chalky, white-gray color.  Fear not though, the product changes a few seconds later or so to take on a pale beige color, which is meant to work for all skin types.

What I found was how easy it was to blend and smooth away pores and tiny flaws with the barest hint of color coming through the matte coverage I discovered.  The formula with green tea leaf extract, jojoba seed oil, argan oil and acai berry had a nice feel to it and was just as nonirritating as their tanning mousse.

To do my neck and arms to match up next, I grabbed the tanning mitt the company sent and finished the process fairly quickly.

Buy Karora Skin Sensation CC Cream ($35) at Ulta.com and Ultra stores as well as HSN.com.  Fall is the best time to try this product and prolong your summer glow!

One Drugstore Beauty BB Cream You Got to Try–New York Color’s Smooth Skin BB Creme Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

New York Color’s Smooth Skin BB Cremes.jpeg
NYC New York Color's Smooth Skin BB Creme with Medium on the left and Light on the right.

When looking for an exceptional BB cream you may think only the high-end brands can suffice to blur out flaws, hydrate and brighten your complexion.  However, I say give NYC New York Color's Smooth Skin BB Creme a shot because this product is definitely worth trying.

Since I heard that the Light (01) shade was practically white-beige, I wanted to sample both choices to see which was more appropriate for my fair to light beige complexion. Light (01) was an ideal match.  The Medium (02) is a slightly darker beige and closer to a light-medium than a true medium.

Medium (02) is on the left with Light (01) on the right.

Some might assume a $3.99 price for this product could hardly make it capable of delivering the kind of glowing, dewy coverage that you need.  Yet, this BB Cream may surprise you in how well its thicker formula masks little imperfections with medium coverage as it evens out and brightens your complexion in the process.

My face looked fresher as well without appearing like I had on makeup.  In fact, this great natural coverage didn't settle in lines to amplify them during the hours I wore it, which also impressed me.  Furthermore, when I took this product off, my face felt somewhat softer to the touch as well.

The only fault that I can find regarding this product is that unlike the more expensive formulations that it does not possess any SPF protection.  Still, you can remedy that problem easily enough by adding your sunscreen separately or through your SPF daily moisturizer.

If you're looking to experiment with a new and very reasonable BB Cream that delivers, I highly recommend trying NYC New York Color's Smooth Skin BB Creme!

L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream Review (812 Light)

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream.jpeg
L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream

Looking more beautiful while repairing your complexion is easier than ever thanks to the multiple benefits of BB creams.  With one product you can prime, perfect, hydrate and correct skin in a breeze.  L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream that I have been testing for SheSpeaks might be exactly the lightweight coverage help that you're looking for.

I am fairly light and requested a tube of the product in 812 Light.  The first thing you will notice upon opening is that what comes out is far from any light beige but a milky white color with tiny beads.  However, this shade quickly adjusts once you start applying it to your face.  All you need are a few well-placed dabs to smooth in and you're practically ready for your day.

This BB Cream gave me more of a matte finish than some others that left me somewhat dewier for my dry skin type.  This one would be more suited for those with oily complexions than dry.  Regardless of a slightly drier feel on my skin, I could still wear this product without any problem.  In fact, I think this cream would be better on my skin during the summer months.

You can compare this amount of coverage to a tinted moisturizer.  Furthermore, the color was good for me.   Also,  I liked how natural it looked as it delicately covered like the pretty skin showing was me--not product taking credit for helping me look that way.

Overall, I think L'Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream is a fine product that has a lot of offer.  To fully appreciate it, you need to take your skin type into consideration and the best season to wear it.
