Happy Mother's Day!

goose and ducklings.jpeg
Even a goose mother listens to other feathered youngsters--not just her own!

Today is a special day to extend or receive some extra love to mothers everywhere.  After all, think of all that we put them through growing up.  Yet, they persevered through some of our craziness of youth shows how exceptional mothers really are.

Therefore, wherever you are, I hope that you remember to do something nice for your mother.  If she's still with you, returning that can be as simple as a phone call, a visit, taking her to dinner or cooking one for her along with a beautiful cake.

Happy Mother’s Day!  I will see you tomorrow when Nuts 4 Stuff returns to normal operation because I too am celebrating.

Sugru Mouldable Glue (Organise Small Spaces, Rebel Tech and Create & Craft) Kits Review

Oranise Small Spaces Kit.jpeg
This is makes small home jobs easier.

I had never heard of Sugru, but when a PR rep emailed and invited me to test some of their mouldable glue kits to cover various projects, it piqued my curiosity.  Like everyone else, I had some ideas in mind for my own home projects to evaluate the Organize Spaces, Rebel Tech and Create & Crafts Kits.

Each of these kits retails for $15 and includes four single-use packs of this mouldable putty that you shape, then adhere to suit your needs before letting it completely dry for 24 hours along with 14-16 ideas for projects and a Sugru tin with some slight differences per kit.

Rebel Tech Kit.jpeg
Organizing gaming stuff and wires can be readily solved with this kit.

The Organize Small Spaces Kit also has three D-hooks, one toothpick and a Sugru remover in case you make a mistake.  I attached a few extra hooks in my closet for my hair dryer and curling iron for more convenient access.

Rebel Tech Kit also comes with Sugru remover, which is handy if you never played with this stuff before for when you decide on a different spot or just didn’t care for your work.  I didn’t use this one yet because my guy has plans for it with all his computer wires and gaming gizmos.

The Create & Craft Kit is basically for personalizing whatever you need by stamping. This kit also comes with a texturing thimble and brush. To be honest, I don’t have anything I need to use this kit for now.  However, I’m going to save it for the holiday season since this would be nice for making cute labels for a homemade cookie, cocoa drink mix, spice mixes that you want to pass out to friends as a small gift.
Create & Craft Kit.jpeg
You can personalize practically anything.

Now is a great time to start some home projects.  These Kits can help simplify some of what you may be planning. Check them out at the Sugru website.

Influenster Maybelline Great Lash Royal Blue Vox Box Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Influenster Maybelline Great Lash Royal Blue Vox Box.jpeg
Influenster Maybelline Great Lash Royal Blue Vox Box I received for testing purposes.

Great Lash mascara has been around for ages.  The reason it has such strength in the marketplace when new formulas and brands keep coming is because it really brings out the eyes without the need to spend a small fortune to do so.   However, I had never tried the new Royal Blue formula of that Maybelline mascara, only the black until Influenster sent it as a part of this latest campaign.

I have dark brown eyes and really love the effect of the vivid blue color for the flattering contrast it gives. The brush does seem a bit smaller than I cared for, but once you get used to it that brush does help separate lashes nicely.

I also got to try their Unstoppable Automatic Pencil  701 Onyx eyeliner. This is a twist up type of smudge-proof liner that doesn’t need a separate sharpener to correct the tip in a black that does last for hours.  It glides on easily without tugging the skin.  It also is one that adjusting the thickness or thinness of the line is simple enough to do.

Have you tried these Maybelline eye products yet?  If not, find them at Walmart when you are shopping for some new makeup.

Le Couvent des Minimes Botanical Colognes of Love, of the Morning and of the Minims Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Le Couvent des Minimes Botanical Colognes trio.jpeg
Undisturbed natural beauty preserved from another time.

Perhaps, you are still looking for the perfect fragrance gift for that special lady this Mother’s Day?  If so, let me tell you about three new botanical colognes from Le Couvent des Minimes (owned by L’Occitane) that offer simple natural beauty of flowers, fruits, woods and herbs at their best from centuries old recipes found in the Le Couvent des Minimes in Provence, France.

Eau Aimable (Cologne of Love) is ideal for someone that loves a fruity-floral that is easy to wear.  Think of this fragrance as a delicate fresh journey into nature with its tangerine and bergamot notes as it opens.  In time, it warms and meets up with the rose and orange blossom that lend their sweetness to this welcoming scent. Once it starts to dry down, Eau Aimable gains some herbal earthiness from the green notes of nasturcia and petitgrain that is delightfully light and calming to the senses like a beautiful walk through the woods on a summer’s day.

Eau des Matines (Cologne of the Morning) reminds you of a stroll in an apple orchard as it opens, but in those sweet blossoms you can also detect some juicy freshness from its lemon and orange notes.  The heart is fruitier still with pear and delectable figs with a beautiful boost of basil to invigorate.  In the base, that lovely energy softens due to the cedarwood and soft musk notes making it very inviting and comfortable.

Eau des Minimes (Cologne of the Minimes) is a citrus-herbal fragrance that of the three unisex scents is the most masculine in my opinion.  The dominant citrus notes are grapefruit, lemon and blood orange with a brisk tart opening soon accompanied by aromatic rosemary.  As it warms, the floral notes emerge from wild pansy leading the way along with lemon balm and burdock to add some interesting, irresistible sweetness with almost a bit of vanilla to tone back that sharp bitterness.  As it drys down, it has a sensual, alluring quality due to the notes of mallow, neroli and benzoin that add to its intrigue.

This trio of surprisingly soft colognes that I introduced you to are ideal ones for those that hate overpowering fragrances and want to surround themselves with nature as it was before the modern world stepped in.  Visit ULTA and check Le Couvent des Minimes botanical colognes out because they are wonderful, indeed!

Baré Alchemy Ambrosia Protect, Soothe and Cleanse Serum Botanical Skin Care Collection Review + ($270) Giveaway! (3 Winners!)–Ends May 27, 2017 (USA, Canada)

Ambrosia Serum Trio.jpeg
This is a power-packed trio of botanical anti-aging skin care from Baré Alchemy .

Nature offers a fully stocked supply of health and miraculous skin care ingredients at our disposal.  High-performance botanical beauty products that use advanced biochemistry and molecular biology to target skin at the cellular level can be a complexion’s best defense of healing, normalizing and beating the clock when the two go hand in hand. A promising brand that takes this approach is an Australian company, Baré Alchemy with their Ambrosia Collection of Botanical Skin Care that I have been testing for this review and giveaway.

Baré Alchemy makes three water-based facial serums to meet the need of each complexion type from normal, dry/sensitive to oily that incorporates the Kakadu plum, coveted for centuries by native Australians for the effectiveness of its antioxidant rich fruit for the skin.  Taking a lead from nature, their team combined skin changing  botanicals into essential nutrients with their Ambrosia Protect Serum (Normal Skin), Ambrosia Soothe Serum (Dry, Sensitive) and Ambrosia Cleanse Serum (Oily Skin).

The serums come in a glass bottle with a long thin neck.  When I first saw it, it puzzled me how it would apply once I pulled it open.  However, I understand the design since this fruity-scented serum is a thinner lotion that you need a few small drops into the palm of your hand for a full application. Mind you, I haven’t been using these serums for all that long, but love the results so far.

The Ambrosia Protect (Normal Skin) also has naturally derived hyaluronic acid and moisturizing agents from fruit sugars, AHAs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and essential oils from the Kadadu plum,  lime pearl extract and combretum flower extract as the main ingredients in this formula.  This lightweight serum is fast-absorbing and made my skin supple and as soft as baby skin without any sign of irritation.

Ambrosia Protect serum.jpeg
This is Ambrosia Protect, a lightweight, but effective dose of nature.

The Ambrosia Soothe Serum (Dry, Sensitive Skin) gave me long-lasting moisture and seemed to boost my skin’s hydration through the day.  Yet, this is another weightless anti-aging serum that absorbs quickly as well. My skin felt smoother and more radiant.  Besides the Kakadu plum extract, the formula also has argan oil, oat bran extract, oat bran kernel flour, pichia/resveratrol ferment extract, and Tasman pepper fruit extract.

Ambrosia Soothe serum.jpeg
Ambrosia Soothe is a hard-working anti-aging product.

Though my complexion is dry, I also tested the Ambrosia Cleanse Serum to see what it was like.  It felt as light as a feather, but still hydrating even for someone with my complexion type as it purged the pores with the help of tea tree leaf oil, Kakadu plum extract, chaulmoogra oil, nigella sativa seed oil, manuka oil, mastic tree resin, lillypilly fruit extract, Davidson plum fruit extract, argan oil, and oat bran kernel flour.  The more summer approaches, the more I will reach for that particular bottle with the way the weather affects my skin.

This is Ambrosia Cleanse (for oily complexions).

Mally Beauty’s NEW Shimmer, Shape & Glow Palettes Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Deeper Shimmer Shape & Glow Palette.jpeg
This is the DEEPER that brings peach tones to life.

One makeup product that can do it all to get your complexion healthy, glowing, and looking as if you got just enough color from the sun comes is the new Shimmer, Shape & Glow Palettes from Mally Beauty.  PR graciously sent both the LIGHTER and DEEPER versions for this review.

I thought the original Shimmer, Shape & Glow was a well-thought out product for defining the face with blushing, highlighting and contouring to make the application foolproof for even those that never attempted highlighting and contouring.  Yet, Mally Roncal really knows how to step up the game with this new verison.

LIGHTER Shimmer shape & Glow palette.jpeg
Here is LIGHTER that  has beautiful cool pink tones.

Just like the original, the tones of the LIGHTER and DEEPER palettes are what really distinguishes them from each other and not the strength of their color.  The LIGHTER palette is more about rosy pink tones.  On the other hand, the DEEPER one is warm and peachy beautiful at its best.  Regardless of your preference, both have a delicate satin sheen brought to their full glory with a soft shimmering highlight.

Though I honestly think either palette could compliment any complexion, I do find the DEEPER really enhances my fair to light coloring with yellow undertones exceptionally well.  Those with a cooler skin tone probably would equally fall in love with LIGHTER, if you had to narrow your choice down to one.

Honestly though, I don’t think that you would want to have to decide on just one of these palettes with how you can change your look.  My advice is just save yourself from a difficult choice by getting both.  You'll find a lot of great use from those Mally Beauty New Shimmer, Shape & Glow Palettes ($40) so check them out!

Rhubard & Rose Bath & Shower Gel.jpeg
Delicious Rhubard & Rose is a delectable scent that you'll want to spend time with.

Those that are dieting may want to consider another scent of bath and shower gel for spending time within their bath.  The reason is that Molton Brown’s Delicious Rhubard & Rose has such a yummy fruity-floral fragrance that you might not be able to resist heading to the kitchen afterwards.

As soon as you flip that cap, you get a fresh whiff of slightly bitter rhubard and the bright juicy notes of mandarin and yuzu fruit.  Yet, once you start lathering up with this moisturizing pink gel, the rose note kicks in to sweeten up this delicious bathing recipe, toning the tartness back.  The more you linger and wash, the more that you’ll detect the underlying sexy musk note emerges, which is so appealing.

Sudsing up with its sugared bubbles is a delight to the senses and offers a beautiful escape once you’re in the tub or shower.  If you love a fruity-floral aroma or are thinking of a nice one for that special lady as a Mother’s Day gift, this product from Molton Brown can please.  My advice is check out this Bath & Body Gel ($30) and the entire Delicious Rhubard & Rose line!
