Rimmel 24HR Volume Flash Super Speed Mascara Review

My eyes are precious to me.  Therefore, one product that I make sure to replace frequently is mascara to protect them from any contamination that may have accumulated through use.  In fact, I was about to buy new mascara when Rimmel sent a tube of their new 24HR Volume Flash Super Speed for my review.

This is a gel-like formula with a quick fix polymer that is advertised to build up lash volume without clumping in one swipe.  It comes with a zigzag brush of soft bristles around its curved design to help accomplish the task.

This mascara also has a decent texture that you can work with of not being too dry or wet for application that helps the process. I found that the brush was helpful in coating from the roots to the tip of the lashes quite nicely. 

Take your time to coat if you intend for the best looking coverage.  Of course, you may be tempted to give it another coat to balance it since some spots may receive less mascara than others with just one swoop. Though my lashes didn’t look gaudy with brittle spikes when I tried two coats, I feel they were more natural and fuller looking without overdoing it. 

For inexpensive drug store mascara, I think you would be pleased with it–-that is, if you are want more definition and fullness over exaggerated bold lashes.  If so, then do check out Rimmel 24HR Volume Flash Super Speed Mascara when you shop.

Rimmel Oh! My Gloss Lip Glosses Review

Besides a nice range of colors, you'll love how soft these lip glosses leave your lips.

Rimmel launched Oh! My Gloss Lip Glosses this past Spring 2016.  This line of 12 is capable of supplying beautiful, shiny color while conditioning lips with argan oil and vitamin E for making them feel more like a lip balm than what you normally expect.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation (Classic Ivory, Soft Beige) Review + Swatches!

With a new season approaching, you might be thinking of updating your cosmetics with fresh products like the new Rimmel Match Perfection Foundations I was sent.  The line of 14 shades has broad spectrum SPF 20 protection with a 24-hour moisture complex built into the formula to provide that coveted luminous look.  

Unlike the European version, this drugstore liquid foundation does not have a pump dispenser once you lift that cap.  The colors I tried were Classic Ivory (light beige with a hint of pink) that was a nice shade for my fair warm complexion and Soft Beige (slightly darker warm beige), which would work more for contouring in my case.

Have you tried any of the new Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick line yet?  I had a chance to finally get my hands on six from the dozen that makes up this line thanks to what PR sent along.  Now that I did, I can see why the company came up with this unique name because it does the combined job of a few different lip products in one from acting like a stain, lip balm and moisturizing lipstick.

These lipsticks come in a slim black tube.  You’ll immediately notice how easily they glide on.  The feel is creamy and moisturizing once that bullet comes in contact with your lips and yet it is weightless.  The color payoff is sensational because these babies are very pigmented without needing to keep applying to benefit. You really can get enough gorgeous color from your initial application, but swiping again and again can result in some serious bold color.

Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipsticks

As you shop for some new fall cosmetics, I recommend you look into Rimmel London's Moisture Renew Lipstick line that I just finished testing.  I was sent eight tubes of exciting shades to share with you.

The Moisture Renew line is a sheerer formulation and not as heavily pigmented as Rimmel London's Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipsticks that I recently reviewed.  These lipsticks glide on with that comfortable creamy feel of a moisturizing lip butter only with a beautiful array of less intense color, which I also adored for my makeup routine.

Starting from the left in my above photo, you see #520 Violet Pop (a darker toned down magneta); #420 Crystal Mauve, (a striking plum-pink);  #240 Latino, (a gleaming medium natural pink);  #840 Burgundy Shine, (a flattering brown-plum); #235 Pink Star, (a flirty light pink);  #820 Cherrylicious, (a berry-plum) #645 Dusty Rose, (a gorgeous neutral pink-brown) and #380 Vintage Pink (a lovely pink-plum). 

These colors do look darker in the tubes than they will on your lips so keep that in mind.  Here are the shades that I modeled for you.

Here are swatches for you.  Starting near my wrist and going down my arm  is #520 Violet Pop, #420 Crystal Mauve, #240 Latino, #840 Burgundy Shine, #235 Pink Star, #820 Cherrylicious, #645 Dusty Rose, and #380 Vintage Pink.

These Moisture Renew lipsticks lasted about four hours without needing to reapply.  Honestly,  I love this line and want to check out more.  I suggest picking some up for yourself because you'll be happy with the colors,  feel, and low price!

Rimmel London's Kate Moss Lasting Finish Intense Wear Lipsticks and Fall 2012 Collection + 1000 Kisses Stay-On Lip Liners Review--Photos!

Here are Rimmel's Kate Moss Lasting Finish Intense Wear Lipsticks  from left to right are #15, #9, #6, #10, and #11.  

You will definitely get attention once you walk into a room wearing Rimmel London's Kate Moss Fall 2012 Collection of Lasting Finish Intense Wear Lipsticks.  These are bold and dramatic shades that are steeping in color while quenching your lips in vitamin-enriched moisture and antioxidant protection to keep them luscious.

Attention-grabbing shades include #15 (a dark pewter shimmer) that has a smoldering lilac-silver undercurrent tinged with icy pale pink; #09 (an intense berry), vivid undertones of magenta  mixed with a juicy grape; #10 (the perfect warm red) is very deep crimson meant for impact; #11 (strong brick red), a dark cherry that will make your lips temptingly delicious; and #06 (a deep coral), bright red-pink overcast with orange.

In my photo from left is #8 (a dusty rose), one of my favorites nude pinks; #12 (a candy coral), a vivacious bright orange-pink; #14 (a blushed nude), a beige nude; and #4 (a royal purple), daring and definitely edgy.

If you find the bold intensity is too much for your everyday look, you can simply tone it down a bit.  Grab a tissue and blot.  This will turn the color into a stain.  Add a coat of clear gloss and you can give it more sheerness.  This is also a very pretty effect or a great way to ease into gradually going deeper. 

I also was sent five of the 1000 Kisses Stay-On Lip Liners.  These are wonderful liners that really can help shape your mouth when working with lipsticks and glosses, especially vital when dealing with these very intense shades.  The five I received spread well and are in a beautiful range of color.

Another great use I want to show you is how to change the color of your lipstick simply by changing your lip liner.  Look at my first photo of #15 and then compare it to the one below using the Spice Lip Liner.  Notice how the color seems to appear completely different.  Instead of that metallic silver-lilac, my lips seem to take on a pink-brown glimmering cast.

Then again, I took #15 and switched the Lip Liner to Cherry Kiss.  Look at the next photo and see how I gained another look out of this one very versatile lipstick.

You can do this little trick with your lipsticks for an endless number of possibilities.  However, I have found you have the best results are with colors that have a shimmer.  What do you think?
