Inexpensive Eye and Lip Beauty: Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Colour Edition Eyeshadow Palette & Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour Review + Swatches

inexpensive-rimmel-eye-palette-and-lip-products.jpeg
Changing your makeup look doesn't have to cost a lot.

Rimmel London came out with some wonderful new additions to their line several months ago like the Colour Edition of the Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palette and the Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colours.  I had reviewed the three original neutral palettes in an earlier post and really liked what they did for my eyes.  With that said, I couldn’t help myself and was determined to see what both would be like.

An Affordable Eyeshadow Palette With a Range of Color  and Possibilities

The Magni’Eyes Colour Edition Palette has 12 pans of eye-catching colors.  Three of the shades are more matte and the rest are quite shimmery.

Inside this sleek, inexpensive palette, you get an amazing dual-ended applicator that you’re going to love.  It has one sponge-tip side and the other end is a brush, which is the perfect size for doing smaller areas like the corners of the eyes when making the V to smoke out.

swatches-magnif'eyes-colour-affordable-palette.jpeg
Look at the vibrant range of 12 colors and all the beautiful eye possibilities at your disposal.

The palette is highly pigmented with a great range of color to play with that is suitable for all skin tones.  You can create a neutral eye, go bolder to all out glam easily with a sultry, smoky eye.

The shadows don’t stir up a lot of dust, especially important if you have any sensitivity or allergies like mine.  These eyeshadows also blend beautifully and are ideally matched for coordinating lots of interesting looks when experimenting with the colors.

Long-lasting Formula that Can Keep Up With Your Day

I wore mine both with a primer and without a primer.  This palette does wear for hours without a primer.  I did not experience any crease problems, but it does hold up better for the longest wear when applying the primer.  The only thing that I noticed is if you’re going for an intense vibrant look, the eyeshadow stays put but the color lightens up somewhat.

The Magni’Eyes Colour Edition Palette is a fun and versatile eyeshadow set that gives you a lot of exciting choices to change your look according to the occasion or your mood without breaking the bank.

Inexpensive Matte Liquid Lipsticks

I also got to sample four of their Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colours with 100 Pink Bliss (warm pink-strawberry), 720 Mocha (medium nude), 110 Blush (dusty pink), and 210 Rose & Shine (rose-pink).  The pink range that was sent happens to be stunning and would suit all in my opinion.  The reasonable drugstore line has ten other shades available.  It also has a great doe-foot applicator that is the just right for shaping and filling in the lips without being too large, too small or awkward to work with.

inexpensive-stay-matte-lip-swatches.jpeg
Closest to my wrist and going down my arm is 100 Pink Bliss, 720 Mocha, 110 Blush, and ending with 210 Rose & Shine.

The Formula

The Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour does stay on your lips for the most part through eating and drinking during a long day.  The only problem is you won’t have as much color on as you started with, but more of a stain.

However, you aren’t forced to reapply.  Nonetheless, you probably will want to because of the dry feel on the lips after a while. Then again, this is common with many matte lip formulas.  To address that problem, I apply some lip balm and am good to go.

This formula takes effort to dislodge it with a makeup remover.  Washing with plain soap and water will not get this lip product to budge.

If you want trustworthy liquid lipstick coverage, you will like Rimmel’s Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour for keeping up with you.  My advice is check this and the Magnif’Eyes Colour Edition Palette when you are in need of new affordable lip and eyeshadow.

The Pros and Cons of SPF Makeup for Your Complexion

reclining-attentive-beauty-with-SPF-makeup.jpeg
This attentive beauty took no chances with her complexion.

We subject our skin to damaging rays from the sun every time we leave our homes.  This is why it is so important to start with protecting our face with proper sun protection at an early age.  After all, the sooner we start, the less accumulated damage we can expect to experience later in life for a more youthful appearance.  Yet, is wearing SPF makeup alone enough to keep the skin safe?

The Method of Application May Hinder the SPF Benefit of Makeup

Though as helpful as SPF infused makeup may be or how high that SPF formula contains, you still may not be as protected as you think.  The reason is you may not be putting on enough of that SPF foundation or makeup if you tend to only apply it to certain spots on your face.

You also need to think about how evenly you applied that SPF makeup.  If you used a brush, sponge or fingers, how well did you layer?  Are you confident your strokes were uniform to distribute the makeup adequately enough or more possibly in other areas?

Makeup Fades Away During the Day That Could Fail to Give You Ample SPF Protection

Since makeup rests on the top layer of the skin, it fades away quicker through the day, which alters that protection.  This does not mean that SPF makeup isn’t valuable to preserving your beauty, it just means you might want to always start first with a layer of a chemical sunscreen with at least SPF 30.

For more about using SPF and your makeup, you might want to read my earlier post.

Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick (001 Light) Review + Swatches

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

cheap-makeup-contour-stick.jpeg
This makeup stick can reshape and emphasize facial features.

Contouring and highlighting products keep evolving in order to capture our attention and beauty dollars.  A good example is Rimmel’s Insta Duo Contour Stick that has both of those cosmetics in one convenient product.

This line has three shades to choose from with 001 Light, 200 Medium and 300 Dark.

contour-side-of-makeup stick.jpeg
Expect decent color payoff.

Being on the fair to light side, I opted for the Light shade.  The contour side is warm medium brown while the highlight is a champagne with an underlying pink color and subtle shimmer.

highlight-of-contour stick.jpeg
This creamy highlight shade gives the skin a delicate glow.

The Formula of This Cosmetic Has Merit

swatches-of-contour-stick.jpeg
Notice the beaming radiance coming from that pink cast of the highlight to the sunny bronze contour.

You got to love the creaminess of this formula for how well it blends.  I used a contour brush, but you can also use your fingers to apply and get great results.

The formula also is light enough that your complexion can still breathe without that heaviness of thicker coverage.

Also, the highlight isn’t overly sparkly to spoil your complexion with obvious glitter. What you can expect is a softer, refined gleam of radiance wherever you place it.

Still, you got to appreciate the convenience of multitasking makeup like this that has two cosmetics of contour and highlight together in one.

The formula provides at least four hours of longevity when I tested it without a primer.  Priming first will surely prolong the wear time.

A Well-Performing Cheap Contour Stick

For about $5.00 to $6.00, contouring and highlighting are easy to do without overspending.  In fact, you can buy all three shades to play with and still come out ahead compared to the cost of some higher end brands.

If you’re just start to experiment with makeup, Rimmel’s Insta Duo Contour Stick is something that I’m sure you’ll love.  Check the line out at your local drugstores or wherever you shop for Rimmel Cosmetics or visit the company’s website.

Bronzer Is One Cosmetic You May Never Want to Do Without

value-of-bronzer.jpeg
Bronzer can be your most essential cosmetic.

Ask someone what is the one makeup product that they would be hard pressed to do without.  I posed that question to friends and family and the answers are usually lipstick, mascara or concealer.  After all, a great lipstick can add color to liven up a face.  Mascara, on the other hand, can do wonders to open up the eyes to make them standout.  Then again, concealers are also face-saving items to camouflage under eye darkness to hiding those unexpected breakouts.  As important as those particular products are, I think bronzer can have even more beauty power because it is so versatile.

Look at All Bronzer Can Do for Overall Beauty

A great bronzer is perfect too multitask many beauty needs. When your complexion is pale and dull especially during winter, bronzer helps to give the skin a sun-kissed glow to wake it up from that chalky, flatness.

With that same bronzer, you can take a big, plush brush or your fingers, depending on the form you use, to return some healthy color to your legs, arms, shoulders, cleavage, etc.

Bronzers can also be gorgeous as an eye shadow whether matte or the shimmery variety.  In fact, if you have bronzers that are too dark, they make  ideal contour shades for the crease that could compliment your regular bronzer you might want to try on your lids.  However, check if the ingredients are safe for your eye area first.

Another reason bronzer might be your most coveted piece of makeup is for what it can do for slimming the jaw and neck.  Try using an angled makeup brush with a brown-toned bronzer and watch that turkey neck change before your eyes.

On the same note, a matte golden-brown bronzer also can help change the dimensions of your face as a contour.  You can shorten a long nose just by a bit on bronzer on the tip.  If your nose happens to be wider than you like, try dusting some bronzing power on both sides of it.  You could define a dimple to carving out cheekbones that seem to be buried deep in your cheeks easily just with this one product. Furthermore, if you have a large forehead, you can just easily create an illusion to shorten it with bronzer,

Finally, bronzer can help a noticeably thinning hairline just by dusting some in the temple area to distract the eye.

Bronzer Can Save You Money Without the Need for so Many Products

You could eliminate contouring powder, eye shadow and blush to save space in your makeup bag as well.

For these reasons, I think bronzer can be the most valuable cosmetic that you can own.  How do you feel?

Rimmel’s New Wonder Ombre Holographic Eyeliners Can Freshen Up Your Look for Spring 2018

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Wonder-Ombre-Eyeliners.jpeg
These eyeliners present multiple possibilities to give the eyes an unexpected edge of fresh color.

One fabulous look for eyes this coming season will be incorporating some holographic color along with black for adding interesting depth to magnify them.  A way that you can experiment with this exciting makeup trend inexpensively is with a new line of Rimmel’s Wonder Holographic Eyeliners that I got to test out.

This is a line of four double-ended pencils with a lighter holographic side of color and a darker shade on the opposite side that run about $5.49 each.  The shades are 001 Super Nova Sky (inky blue with a whitish-blue-violet holographic side), 002 Galactic Green (blackish green/holographic mint-gold green), 003 Purple Prism (blackish plum/holographic pale pink-violet), and 004 Golden Gaze (blackish brown/holographic gold).

swatches-of-wonder-ombre-eyeliners.jpeg
From left to right is 004 (Golden Gaze), 003 Purple Prism, 002 Galactic Green and ending with 001 Super Nova Sky on the right.

Use Holographic Color Alone or Overlap Deeper Color Can Give Two Different Fresh Effects for Your Spring 2018 Look.

You can wear them by lining your top lid with the dark side and saving the holographic end to line your bottom lid.  Another technique to try is using the darker side to circle the eyes before going over them with the holographic color.  This also will add some pizzazz to your eyes for spring 2018.  Either choice really creates an amazing eye.

These pencils glide along the lids without tugging on delicate skin, which is important.  They also are long-wearing and will require eye makeup remover to finally take them off.  Soap and water will just not cut it.

As to the colors, I thought the 002 Galactic Green was my favorite among the group. It had the most color and played off that holographic side the best for creating stunning eyes in my opinion.

Holographic Duo Eyeliner Offers Startling Color to Freshen Eyes to Update Your Look.

I really had fun working with these eyeliner pencils.  You can control the thickness and thinness of your line to build up color or always further emphasize the line with a liquid or pen eyeliner to go bolder.

Have you tried any of these Rimmel Wonder Ombre Holographic Eyeliners yet?  If so, let me know by sharing your thoughts with me.

Find Rimmel’s new Wonder Ombre Holographic Eyeliners at your local drugstore, Target, Walmart or wherever you normally shop for their products.  Check them out.

Exciting Spring 2018 Makeup Trends Glitter and Glow

metallic eyeshadows.jpeg
Metallic colors are just one way to get your spring 2018 glitter and glow on.

If you like a lot of glitter and gold, this will be your season to shine because they will influence your makeup look heavily for spring 2018 through metallic hues of eye shadows, nail polishes along with gold-beaming skin and frosted lip shades–-besides taking that glitz further in surprising new ways.  I’m talking about adding some super-sized sparkle with sequins or rhinestones glued with lash glue to your eyelids or around the eyes.

You Can Go Low-Key Sparkle Or Maximize the Glitter

beauty-with-wild-eyeshadow.jpeg
Glitter and glow for spring 2018 takes many forms from metallic to neon colors.
Those that don’t care to go overboard with that sparkling effect will still want to light up their skin with a healthy glow because a beautiful illuminated complexion will be bigger than ever. You can get that extra edge of radiance to your skin from a glow-enhancing primer and illuminating foundation to some amazing formulas of BB or CC cremes.

To show off that fresh, dewy glow, you can also do it in style with earth-inspired nudes to classic red lips and nails, which also will be quite popular.

Bold, Black-Rimmed Eyes Dominate Along With Glitter and Metallics

Eyes will be haunting thanks to bold black eyeliner with an array of different takes of the cat-eye from how heavy to the placement of the flick to thick, noticeable lines around the entire eye.  Thick flicks will have more rounded edges than a sharper ones as when doing a thinner flick for this upcoming season so keep this mind.

Try adding a dramatic secondary color to rock the black liner or using a silver liner at the inner corners are other exciting new twists to explore.  Also, take your black mascara wand and stamping the top side of each lid to up your game with a zippered pattern to your eyes.

mascara-wand.jpeg
Stamping your lids with your mascara wand is another big trend for spring 2018.

To zone in on those inky eyes even more, eye shadows range from vivid to pastels of lime greens, lilacs, bright turquoise to neon yellows, oranges and pinks, graphically placed to frame the eyes.

Whatever your comfort level is, makeup for spring 2018 offers something innovative and fun for every beauty.

Review: PUR Cosmetics Correcting Primers (Redness Reducer, Hydrate & Balance, Dark Spot)

three-correcting-primers.jpeg
Primers can help perfect the look of your makeup while caring for the skin.

Using a primer can only enhance the look of your makeup.  Regardless of your skin type or issue, PUR Cosmetics has a variety of correcting primers to counteract and provide the solution for a beautiful face such as the selection the company sent to me to sample.

One thing that I admire about this company is that all their healthier formulated products are cruelty-free, paraben free, gluten free, and vegan.  This concern for well-being extends even to the containers they use, being free of Bisphenol A (BPA).

The first primer I want to tell you about is their Redness Reducer, which is a green color in the tube.  I don’t have any redness from rosacea to compare this product with, but my mother does.  Therefore, she was the tester. Besides liking how easy it was to blend, she loved the way this primer calmed down the redness without any irritation with its aloe vera on her sensitive skin.

I also got a tube of their Hydrate & Balance Corrective Primer.  This is the blue mattifying primer that is free of both oil and silicone that is ideal for oily or acne prone complexions with its salicylic acid.  Though I don’t have oily skin, I always start with a moisturizer before priming.  Even with the added moisturizer, this product will prevent oil from shining through for hours.

The last one I received was their Dark Spot Corrector.  This is the orange tinted one that works wonders on dark circles and any spots such as hiding remnants of a pimple with its Walthena leaves, vitamin B3 and lubricating babassu oil.  It covers, moisturizes and brightens without piling on the product.  In fact, use it sparingly for the best results.

If you’re looking for a correcting primer ($33.00), you’ll find PUR Cosmetics could have exactly what your face needs to perfect it with these three and more.  Check them out!

Review: Sara Happ Lip Scrub and The Lip Slip One Luxe Glosses (Pink, Rose Gold, Peach)

Rose-Gold-Lip-Slip.jpeg
Here is the Sara Happ Rose Gold Lip Slipp.

Winter can be especially problematic for drying the lips and leaving them rough.  Of course, you can turn to lip balms along with lipsticks and glosses.  Yet, those products can’t heal flaky lips instantly to provide that ultimate smoothness for your lip color.  However, there is a quicker route to beautiful lips that I discovered lately using Sara Happ luxury lip products.

Rose-Gold-slip-on-applicator.jpeg
This is golden peach-nude color of that Rose Gold gloss. It has lots of golden sparkle to it.

When you don’t have time to make your own DIY Lip Scrub, a commercial product is convenient.  The Sara Happ Lip Scrub I tried was in Pink Grapefruit.  This is a pink tinted, but vegan sugar scrub with petroleum, vitamin E, nourishing seed oils such as grape and jojoba seed oil and natural extracts. There are also five other flavors available.

Lip-Scrub.jpeg
This is the Grapefruit Lip Scrub.

This product has a thick consistency with a pleasant grapefruit scent. I didn’t use much, because less is more when it comes to this Lip Scrub.  All I did was apply some product to my clean lips, then massaged over the lips in a circular fashion before removing with a tissue.  This scrub and the gentle workout improve circulation from the healthy color my lips gained while ridding them of any dry, flakiness.

Sara Happ also provided a few of her Lip Slips as well. This formula has a slight, sweet vanilla scent.  It is a moisturizing gloss that is thick, but not overly so or sticky when applied with its doe foot applicator that does satisfy lips.

Pink-Lip-Slip.jpeg
This is The Pink Slip.

The Pink Slip is a medium warm pink that is on the sheer side with a slight gleam.  The Peach Slip is warm peach-nude with just a hint of pink. The Rose Gold Slip is a nude with more gold sparkle to it.

Peach-Slip-Gloss.jpeg
Here is The Peach Slip.

If your lips could benefit from some luxurious pampering, I suggest visiting the Sara Happ website to check out The Lip Scrub ($22.00) and The Lip Slips ($24.00) each.

PUR Cosmetics Contour Diaries Review

Contour-Diaries.jpeg
You can call attention to your best features and diminish bad ones with this one palette!

Most people aren’t born with perfect features.  Since I happen to be one of them, I always found contouring and highlighting helpful to improve my facial structure more to my liking.  Lately, I have been experimenting with PUR Cosmetics Contour Diaries palette to see what is possible with their highlighting and contouring powders.

This palette comes with six shades of three highlights: Charm (light pink/peach), Dream (golden tone) and Flirt (warm peach-beige).  The three contour shades are Secret (pale brown), Passion (warmer medium brown), and Mystery (dark brown).  Just like all PUR’s products, this is 100% cruelty-free, vegan and free of any health risking parabens.

To really appreciate what this palette can do is using it with a contour blending brush over a plusher blush or powder brush.  The reason is that you don’t want to pick up more pigment than necessary, only enough to meet the highlighting or contouring task.  Otherwise, you will overload your face with heavy, unflattering streaks.

The powders are soft, smooth and nicely-pigmented.  They do stir up a little dust, but not excessively so as some powders can.  Being light-skinned, the contour shade that appeared the most natural on me was Secret.  Passion appears almost like a warm bronzer on me.  Mystery can make a great deep brown matte eye shadow.  However, I am using it with an eye shadow brush to subtly contour my nose over the larger contour brush.  I also loved how easily these powders are to custom mix your own shade such as the Secret/Mystery blend for my nose.

Have you tried PUR Cosmetics Contour Diaries Palette ($32.00) yet?  If not and you’re hoping to find a great set, this one won’t disappoint you.  Check it out.

Avon True Color Lipsticks and True Color Nourishing Lipsticks Review + Swatches

avon-lipsticks.jpeg
From left to right is Carnation, Rose Dew, Spiced Apricot, Toasted Rose, Proper Pink, Sparkling Mauve, Cherry Blossm, Wild Ginger, Country Rose, Rich Rum, Perfect Red, Red 2000, and Brown Sugar.

I consider lipstick a beauty essential.  The right color can flatter your face, compliment your outfit and make an amazing difference in the comfort of your lips.  The way I see it is you can never have too many lipsticks.  Therefore, I was pleased when a box of Avon lipsticks showed up at my door.

lipstick-swatches.jpeg
Starting by my wrist and going down is Cherry Blossom, Country Rose, Wild Ginger, Sparkling Mauve, Red 2000, Brown Sugar, Rose Dew, Toasted Rose, Carnation, Proper Pink, Rich Rum, Spiced Apricot, and Perfect Red.

This assortment mostly consisted of Avon’s True Color Lipstick line of satins and shimmers.  Besides stunning color, these have vitamin E, omega-3 oil and shea butter in their formula for moisturizing lips.

Out of the forty shades from that line, I got Carnation (mauve-pink), Rose Dew (soft plum-brown), Spiced Apricot (pink-brown), Toasted Rose (warm pink), Proper Pink, (pale cool pink) Sparkling Mauve (mauve-plum), Wild Ginger (orange-red), Country Rose (strawberry-pink), Rich Rum (brown), Perfect Red (brick red), and Red 2000 (cherry-red).

The True Color Lipsticks have a light scent that reminds me of cherries.  They spread nicely and felt smooth with a comforting feel for about two hours.  Afterwards, the initial moisture seemed to disappear into my lips while the color stayed intact.

I also found two of the True Color Nourishing Lipsticks that have SPF 15 and a deeper moisturizing system due to natural oils and conditioners such as vitamin E and jojoba oil built into the formula.

I received Cherry Blossom (pink-red) and Brown Sugar (rust-brown), but there are eight more shades in the line.  These did keep my lips feeling moisturized longer than the original True Color Lipsticks.  In fact, the more times that I used them, the softer my lips felt.  I also liked the SPF protection in the formula.

You can find both the True Color and True Color Nourishing Lipsticks at Avon’s website.  They retail for $8.00 each.  Check them out!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Silk Aether Long-Lasting Duo Cream Eye Shadows Review + Swatches

two-Silk- Aether-cream-eyeshadow.jpeg
Gossamer Wing is on the left with Birdwing Beauteous on the right.

For the most part, I love pressed powder eyeshadow for two reasons.  They seem to hold up better than creams that can dry out sooner and also because of palettes and all the shades that you can find together.  Nonetheless, I also buy my share of cream eyeshadow despite having a shorter shelf life because of how much I love their unbeatable silky texture that clings to the lids instead of the pigment accidentally falling into my eyes.

Luxury beauty brand, Rouge Bunny Rouge, has their Silk Aether Long-Lasting Duo Cream Eye Shadow ($45.00), which currently is available in two shades.   The duo in Gossamer Wing has pale beige champagne color with a delicate sheen on one end with a cool brown with a finely refined gray metallic sparkle at the other.  This is the one for a fresh, but classy natural look with more satin finish to the radiance it gives the eyes.

swatches-silk aether-eyeshadows.jpeg
Here I swatched both shadows for you with Gossamer Wing on the left and Birdwing Beauteous on the right.

The other shadow in this line is Birdwing Beauteous. This has a side that is champagne touched with apricot color with more of a prominent sheen that is lovely with how it lights up the eyes.  The other end is a silvery blue-black color that smolders with mystery.  I like this one for doing a sexy, night time look.

These shadows have a fluffier cream consistency and feature a doe-foot applicator that spread and blend the product ideally, giving you enough time to work before setting.  They also wear for as long as you need without creasing.

Each of these shades  is unique and will dress up your lids in style.  If you ask me, the hard part will be deciding between the two Silk Aether Long-Lasting Duo Cream Eye Shadow colors to try first.  What are your thoughts on these Rouge Bunny Rouge cream shadows?  Have you tried them yet?  Check them out!

How To Best Safeguard Your Mascara From Bacteria

woman applying mascara.jpeg
This post can help keep your eyes safer.

Mascara is essential for making more of our lashes.  If you want to keep your eyes safe from a bacterial infection, it is always a good idea to take the proper precautions.

Resist the urge to pump your mascara wand in and out of the tube to load it.  Doing this forces air into the mascara that can bring bacteria with it to speed up the already short three-month shelf life of this eye product.  Habitually pumping mascara also dries it out sooner.

Instead of pumping, try twisting the wand as you’re taking it out.  This technique will do what you need, keep your eyes healthier and the mascara more sanitary.

Though it may not have dried up or changed in its scent, the formula becomes a breeding ground of bacteria that needs replacing over time.  After three months, the longer that you keep using that mascara only increases your risk of developing an ugly, painful eye infection.  So be safe and just toss to stay beautiful!

Glo Skin Beauty Contour Kit (Fair to Light) Review + Swatches

contour-kit.jpeg
This is the Fair to Light Contour Kit.

One of my favorite forms of makeup is contouring and highlighting palettes.  With this one product, I can totally change the look of my face through shadows and light by artificially carving out a new bone structure.  The Glo Skin Beauty Contour Kit is an exciting option toward that goal from what I discovered.

This #Contour Kit comes in two shades the fair to light version that I selected and a medium to dark grouping of four mineral powders.  You also get instructions for placement attached inside this $38.00 kit.  The packaging is cardboard with a slip cover and magnetic closure to this slim kit.

swatches-of-contour-kit.jpeg
The highlight shades are on the left, but didn't photograph well with the contour shades on the right.

Inside the Fair to Light Contour Kit, the both contour shades are matte, but one is slightly darker with more bronze brown to it while the other has more pink to the brown.  As far as the highlight shades go, there are two.  The first one is matte and the other shimmering champagne.

These powders are smooth, easy to blend and don’t streak. They did provide enough pigment to keep my makeup natural and stayed true without fading for hours, which is important to me.

If you’re searching for a wonderful Contour Kit that can help keep your shadows and highlighting realistic instead over the top, then you should check out this one from Glo Skin Beauty!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Lip Balms Review + Swatches

two-tinted-lip-balms.jpeg
On the left is Specks of Cherise with Sip of Pink on the right.

Winter weather can really do a number on the condition of our lips.  As a result, I am never without lipsticks, lip gloss and lip balms.  These are staples to add color as well as keeping my lips from drying out.  However, I had never tried any lip balms from luxury beauty brand, Rouge Bunny Rouge, until two of their Dazzling Sip Tinted Luxe Balms arrived.

swatches- of-two-tinted-lip-balms.jpeg
Here I swatched both lip balms for you with Specks of Cherise (left) and Sip of Pink (right).

The line of three includes Sip of Pink (raspberry pink tone with some warmth to the shade), Specks of Cherise (deeper, but sheer berry-red on the order of crimson-red cherries) and Pinch of Nude (light beige nude with gold).  Each lip balm retails for $31.00.

These lip balms have a lip treatment, color and anti-aging skin care built into the formula. You may think this sounds pretty much what any lip balm promises.  I was of that opinion at first.

Yet, this product has an Ecocert-approved active complex for hydration with sunflower oil among its other oils and waxes that does exceptional restoration for hurting lips while delivering flattering color in a lightweight formula. My lips felt smoothed, comforted and quenched for a longer period while staying beautiful without the feel of any heavy, waxiness to them.

If you’re torn between lipstick to beautify and lip balm for its soothing moisture, then look no more because Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Lip Balms solve that problem. Check them out because this lip caring formula makes winter weather bearable again!

Glo Skin Beauty Cream Stay Shadow Sticks (Toast, Pitch) Review

two-eye-shadows- crayons.jpeg
Toast is on the left with Pitch on the right.

Those that have sensitive eyes may find cream formulas or eye shadow crayons more to their liking over powders.  This variety such as Glo Skin Beauty’s Cream Stay Shadow Sticks cling better to the lid without risking eyes to any product dust that could find its way inside.

I received two shades of that six-product line with Toast and Pitch.  Toast is a cool, medium brown that has more of a gleam than actual shimmer to it.  On the other hand, Pitch is a matte black and was better suited as eyeliner.  These crayons do not have a built-in sharpener like the earlier ones came with.

The formula is creamy with beautiful pigment that does blend well, but it must be done quickly with how fast this crayon sets.  It does crease after several hours when you go without a primer.  However, I didn’t run into that problem when I primed first so keep that in mind.

Something else that I really love about makeup crayons in general is how little space they take in a makeup bag or in tiny clutch.  The Cream Stay Shadow Sticks ($20.00) also make great beauty stocking stuffers so check them out at Glo Skin Beauty.
