Rimmel’s New Wonder Ombre Holographic Eyeliners Can Freshen Up Your Look for Spring 2018

Wonder-Ombre-Eyeliners.jpeg
These eyeliners present multiple possibilities to give the eyes an unexpected edge of fresh color.

One fabulous look for eyes this coming season will be incorporating some holographic color along with black for adding interesting depth to magnify them.  A way that you can experiment with this exciting makeup trend inexpensively is with a new line of Rimmel’s Wonder Holographic Eyeliners that I got to test out.

This is a line of four double-ended pencils with a lighter holographic side of color and a darker shade on the opposite side that run about $5.49 each.  The shades are 001 Super Nova Sky (inky blue with a whitish-blue-violet holographic side), 002 Galactic Green (blackish green/holographic mint-gold green), 003 Purple Prism (blackish plum/holographic pale pink-violet), and 004 Golden Gaze (blackish brown/holographic gold).

Use Holographic Color Alone or Overlap Deeper Color Can Give Two Different Fresh Effects for Your Spring 2018 Look.

You can wear them by lining your top lid with the dark side and saving the holographic end to line your bottom lid.  Another technique to try is using the darker side to circle the eyes before going over them with the holographic color.  This also will add some pizzazz to your eyes for spring 2018.  Either choice really creates an amazing eye.

These pencils glide along the lids without tugging on delicate skin, which is important.  They also are long-wearing and will require eye makeup remover to finally take them off.  Soap and water will just not cut it.

As to the colors, I thought the 002 Galactic Green was my favorite among the group. It had the most color and played off that holographic side the best for creating stunning eyes in my opinion.

Holographic Duo Eyeliner Offers Startling Color to Freshen Eyes to Update Your Look.

I really had fun working with these eyeliner pencils.  You can control the thickness and thinness of your line to build up color or always further emphasize the line with a liquid or pen eyeliner to go bolder.

Have you tried any of these Rimmel Wonder Ombre Holographic Eyeliners yet?  If so, let me know by sharing your thoughts with me.

Rimmel #Insta Conceal & Contour (Light and Medium) Review + Swatches

#Insta Conceal & Contour palettes.jpeg
These palettes run around $6.99 each.

The other day I shared my review of Rimmel #Instant Conceal & Correct that does a  fantastic job for hiding under eye darkness.  Today, I want to give you my thoughts on their #Insta Conceal & Contour Palette. This palette comes in three shades and is meant to conceal, highlight and contour in one product.

I found the formula creamy and easy to blend.  The colors appear darker in the pans, but lighten up when used.  Overall though, I found some problems with this palette.

swatches of #insta contour palette.jpeg
On the left are the three shades of the Medium followed by the three Light shades.

The conceal shade  I tried in the Light palette is the right color for my fair to light complexion. However, it does not provide the depth of heavy duty coverage for disguising under eye darkness like the #Insta Conceal & Contour Palette.   The contour shade is deep enough to contour, but has some orange color to it.  This makes it look more like a bronzer than a natural contour.  The highlight shade is light with a soft gleam to it that worked nicely.

Light #Insta contour palette.jpeg
Here is the Light palette.

The conceal in the Medium palette is too dark.  The contour shade is more brown, which is a good thing for light complexions like mine for tackling this.  The highlight is only a tad darker than the Light palette, but provides a believable glow to the skin.

#Insta contour medium palette.jpeg
These are the shades of the Medium palette.

This formula really adheres to the skin in how deeply these colors stain.  I used two different makeup removers before I could dislodge it.

While I loved the #Insta Conceal & Correct Palette, I cannot say that I feel the same degree of adoration for this product.  Of course, you may feel differently.  Have you tried Rimmel London #Insta Conceal & Contour Palettes yet?

Visit Rimmel London to learn more or find the #Insta Conceal & Contour Palettes at your local drugstore.

For both Rimmel London and Sally Hansen, plum is the word to show off lips and nails this season.  From a brighter raspberry-infused plum to a vampy eggplant purple, Rimmel has Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colours in Plum This Show (810) and Midnight (800) to create that ideal velvety matte smoothness that is so popular.

On the left is Midnight with Plum This Show on the right.

Nails are treated to the same rich degree of bold color with Sally Hansen’s Salon Manicure Ruby Do (490) and Society Ruler (418)Ruby Do is a sophisticated wine with underlying red that is gorgeous especially against paler skin once tans begin fading.  Society Ruler is a dark plum that almost reminds me of grape jelly.  In the Color Therapy line, you might want to try Slicks and Stones (390), which is an exciting dark purple with multi-colored shimmers.

Whatever your favorite plum preference happens to be, here are some great inexpensive choices to play up your lips and nails.  My advice is to check out these particular shades in their Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colours, Salon Manicure and Color Therapy nail polish lines at your local drugstores or wherever you shop for Rimmel and Sally Hansen products.

Rimmel #Insta Flawless Perfecting Radiant Skin Tint (Light Medium) Review + SWATCH!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

#Insta Flawless Perfecting Radiant Skin Tint.jpeg
This skin tint is a new way to gain that radiant glow to your complexion.

Rimmel has a new skin tint foundation product with SPF 15 that I had a chance to sample.  #Insta Flawless Perfecting Radiant Skin Tint comes in two shades of Light Medium, the one I thought was best for my fair to light complexion and a deeper shade of Medium Dark.

The color is slightly darker than you might expect and has a glowy finish.  The Light Medium has somewhat of a bronze cast, more like a summer shade that I use after spending time in the sun.  Nonetheless, the depth of this color does sheer out so keep that in mind.

Rimmel BB Cream Radiance (Light) Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Rimmel BB Cream Radiance.jpeg
Rimmel BB Cream Radiance delivers more of a natural fresh finish.

What I like about BB creams is that they do what normal foundations do for coverage, only with added skin care benefits of smoothing, toning, moisturizing and evening out the complexion all in one product.  I had never tried Rimmel’s BB Creams yet so I thought to start with their BB Cream Radiance.

Two shades are available from Light to Medium, but I thought Light would be the best option for my fair to light complexion.  The shade was a good choice because it matched my warm tone without being too yellow or pink, but more neutral.

Unlike some other BB creams that I had tried in the past, this one from Rimmel had a thicker than thinner consistency.  The texture felt light on the skin.  The coverage I got was light and natural looking, but you can layer if needed for extra concealing.

When I initially applied the BB Cream Radiance in the morning it did smooth and give my dry complexion a slightly dewy finish without looking obvious like I was wearing a foundation for the hours I wore it.  I don’t know how this formula will work for someone with an oily complexion, but for me it did what I needed to perfect the look of my skin.

I liked this Rimmel BB Cream Radiance for what it did for me, but if you prefer more of a matte finish there is another Rimmel BB Cream Matte and their Original BB Cream, which I haven’t tried yet.

If you like red, you won’t be disappointed with the two Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick shades with #51 Muse Red (cherry-red) and #52 Idol Red (orange-red). The Muse Red is best for cool skin tones being a blue-red, especially if you’re complexion is fair. On the other hand, the Idol Red leans more toward warm skin tones. Rimmel Kate Conditioning Lip Balm Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Kate Conditioning Lip Balm.jpeg
My lips felt softer using this lip balm.

Lip balm is one product that I can’t live without between how the weather and matte lipstick formulations dry out my lips.  However, I never tried Rimmel’s Kate Conditioning Lip Balm that promises up to eight hours of moisture to keep lips satisfied until lately when it arrived for me to test out.

This lip balm appears to have an orange tint, but it is clear once you apply.  It does have a fairly noticeable fruit-like scent that didn’t bother me, but might irritate more sensitive nostrils.

What I found was that it did have a nice glide to it and kept my lips comfortable and lubricated whether I wore it alone or underneath a matte lipstick for as long as I wore it.  My lips felt softer afterwards.   If you wear just this lip balm, it gives a nice natural shine as well.

I really liked the feel of Rimmel Kate Conditioning Lip Balm and would buy it again.  Check it out when you’re in the market for lip balm!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Universal Transparent Lip Liner Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Rimmel lip liner trio.jpeg
Colorless lip liners can save you money since there is no need to match them to lip products.

Bleeding lipstick or runaway lip gloss can happen when you neglect the extra step of lip liner. You could solve this preventable problem with a nude color that is close in shade to your natural lips.  Still, the most ideal method is matching the color of liner to the shade of lipstick or gloss that you’re wearing.  Yet, this could amount to buying quite a few different lip liners, which can run into money unless you went colorless like the one I tried from Rimmel with their Moisture Renew Universal Transparent Lip Liner.

Rimmel Good to Glow Color Highlighter Line Review + Swatches

Rimmel Good to Glow Color Highlighter Line.jpeg
Rimmel Good to Glow Color Highlighter Line

In the quest to look younger or wake up a dull complexion, illuminators can help with that goal.  Products like Rimmel London’s Good to Glow Color Highlighters that I sampled lately do add that touch of instant radiance to get skin beaming.

These liquid illuminator/highlighters come in 001 Notting Hill Glow (pink-white), 002 Piccadilly Glow (coral) and 003 Soho Glow (golden tan).  They all are shimmery with the exception of 001 Notting Hill Glow, which has more obvious, larger sparkles.  It also has a whitish cast that seems to dominate the pink once it is applied that was a bit over the top for me.

swatches of Rimmel Good to Glow Color Highlighter Line.jpeg
Starting on the left is 001 Notting Hill Glow, 002 Piccadilly Glow and ending with 003 Soho Glow on the right.

The texture is too not thick or too thin, but a wonderful one that comes out easily that you can build up, being sheer or play upon to mix with your foundation like with my favorite one, 003 Soho Glow for more facial radiance or use alone.

Furthermore, these highlighters wear quite well.  I don’t know how true this will be for someone with oily skin since mine is dry, but this product held its own until I took it off later in the day.

The next time you shop for Rimmel products check out their Good to Glow Color Highlighters.

Rimmel 24HR Super Curler Mascara Review

Rimmel 24HR Super Curler Mascara in package.jpeg
Rimmel 24 HR Super Curler Mascara

It’s great to see that Rimmel London keeps constantly expanding their line.  When shopping, one product that may have caught your eye lately is another new mascara released several months ago.  This one is the 24HR Super Curler Mascara that was among the products PR sent along.

This product is meant to curl, volumize and hold the curling effect for up to 24-hours according to the packaging due to a special new polymer.  Yet, who wears mascara for that much time to say if that statement is accurate or not? However, I can tell you how it worked for me.
