An Easy Save to Keep Delicate Necklaces From Tangling When Storing in Your Jewelry Box!

blue stone necklace.jpeg
Using their boxes is fine, but some are too bulky or can add up in a jewelry box.  This post can help.

Necklaces that have those fragile, thin chains can be hard to store.  Sometimes, you might keep them in their original box inside your jewelry box, but this doesn’t always work if you others also to dominate the space.  Instead, what helps is to find an alternative.  With the tip that I have for you, you will gain more room in your jewelry box while safeguarding the necklaces from knotting.

What I’ve been doing to save on jewelry box space is taking clean popsicle or ice cream bar sticks to wrap the chains of those necklaces around before putting them away.  These wooden sticks take up a lot less room than some of the bigger boxes.

I also have been saving empty thread spools (the small size) that can line up uniformly in a separate section of my box.  This is also a good method for the chains, but unless you sew a lot you may need to wait before you have enough.

Another idea that can save you space is using those plastic-coated playing cards to secure those fine necklaces around.  This way of storage works to arrange the filled cards neatly in different ways in your jewelry box.

Of course, this is only just some suggestions that can keep those fragile chains from tangling while also saving space in a crowded jewelry box.   However, it does solve the problem quite nicely.

How to Safely Clean Your Fine and Costume Jewelry!

pearls.jeg
Real pearls can't be treated the same way to clean as gemstones.

Sparkling gems flashing a ribbon of colors from within a jewelry box are something we can never get tired of. Yet, in time those precious gemstones, diamonds as well as any gold, silver, pearl or turquoise pieces that you love will eventually lose some of that shine and brilliance.  In order to return their beauty, you want to make sure to clean them properly like with these tips that I’m about to share.

Whether the dazzling stone is a diamond, gemstone, gold, silver or even more inexpensive pieces with rhinestone or crystal, all can be immersed in about a cup of warm water that you added a tablespoon of ammonia.  They don’t need to stay in the treated water long just briefly before wiping dry with a soft cloth. Since some jewelry such a rhinestone or a crystal brooch can be set in with a glue instead of held in place with prongs to secure it unlike a more costly, pronged piece, the stones could also loosen.
overflowing jewelry box.jpeg
Jewelry pieces vary and so do their cleaning methods.

Pearls need a different sort of tender loving care. Forgot about soaking them in any cleaner if you want them to maintain their luster because they are porous and could be damaged.  In fact, the skin’s natural oils benefit pearls and help make them more beautiful the more they’re worn. However, you still need to occasionally wipe them with a soft cloth that has a bit of a mild dish detergent only.

Turquoise and opal jewelry also need a gentle touch when cleaning since they too are porous stones.  Just wipe those off with soft cloth and a mild dish detergent is all that you should do to keep them in their best shape.

One last pointer that I have to care for your jewelry is remembering to finish your beauty ritual completely first before fastening or pinning jewelry on if you want to keep them in great condition.  Things like hair spray or perfumes can harm their beauty.  Therefore, follow this simple rule–jewelry last!

If you keep these jewelry care tips in mind, your jewelry will look as priceless as you do!

awakening bracelet.jpeg
The Awakening bracelet is such a versatile piece.

Joseph Nogucci makes some beautiful bracelets.  In fact, the Awakening Silver Aura Leaf Jasper Bracelet ($38) is the fourth one I now own from his collection.  If you want to see my other three pieces, read my original review.

This particular one with its 6mm semi-precious stones in varying multicolored browns and grays is set off with five silver accent beads is advertised to help with mental awakening to stimulate new ideas, which I can never enough of.  My lovely new bracelet is well crafted with an elastic cord that nearly any wrist can stretch into. This piece is  comfortable and doesn’t weigh my slender wrist down when I type or have anything sharp that can snag stockings.

Right now, the company is offering first-time customers a free bracelet just for the cost off shipping. However, you don’t have much time to get in on this deal because it expires in about a day or so.

Here is the link to the Joseph Nogucci bracelet collection to take advantage.  Don’t delay because these are so pretty to dress any outfit!

A Handy Jewelry Removal Trick for Dislodging a Ring That Gets Stuck on Your Finger!

woman with hands full of rings.jpeg
Warm weather can make hands swell.  Rings can become tighter quickly.  This tip is a good one to remember.

Have you ever tried on a ring and found that it refused to budge when you tried to get it off?  If so, you probably tried plenty of soap and water to help loosen it.  However, there is an easier solution for solving this annoying problem.

The next time this happens to you, you might want to try spraying your finger with Windex.  Believe it or not, the ingredients in that window cleaner help the ring slip off surprisingly well.

If you don’t want to try the Windex method, you can also turn to butter, which also helps free you of that ring.

Hopefully, you won’t have this problem.  Still, it is always good to be prepared with a little knowledge for just in case!

Introducing the LovePendants Collection by Robert Leser--Symbols Pendant Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Symbols Green Quartz Pendant in yellow vermeil from the LovePendants Collection by Robert Leser.jpeg
My Symbols Green Quart Pendant in yellow vermeil with metallic engraving ($268)

An easy way to evaluate your style is with the right piece of jewelry like the lovely Symbols Pendant award-winning jewelry designer, Robert Leser sent me from his new LovePendants Collection of natural gemstone jewelry.  If you aren’t familiar with his work, he is the talent behind the Color Story and the Blue Nile jewelry collections.

What is distinctive about his latest collection is that you pick a style of pendant, charm or a bracelet along with a natural gemstone, metal choice and use either words or symbols to customize it with engraving.  The process to create an individualized piece is easy.

For example, I decided on my gemstone choice first from their list. Green Quartz seemed like a winning choice after reading about its metaphysical properties of healing, helping with creativity and attracting prosperity.  With all that going for this stone, how could yours truly resist?

Though those chunky, oversized necklaces are around everyone’s necks now, I do think that a delicate necklace can be timeless with the right outfit, despite what fashion critics may say.  From my choices of metal, I selected the yellow vermeil since it was the closest to gold.  It measures 16 to 18-inches and has a lobster claw clasp.  You can order a border to frame the stone, but I wanted nothing like a frame to compete with the stone.

Being the romantic that I am, I went with the heart in the Symbols choice.  To me, the design, engraved in my preference of metallic engraving, said a lot more through its simplicity than words.

Once my finished Symbols Green Quartz Pendant in yellow vermeil ($268) arrived, I did fall in love with the charming delicacy that it had when placed around my neck.  Though I am not superstitious, this pendant with its supposed metaphysical powers might just stay around my neck while I give it a thorough testing to do its thing, in the name of research, of course.

Seriously though, the LovePendants Collection by Robert Leser is a nice way to immortalize a feeling, a person, a cause, etc. through a beautiful piece of jewelry.  Do check the company’s website out!

How to Store Delicate Necklaces Without Tangling the Chains for Easy Retrieval!

Cate & Chloe Layla Beauty Pendant.jpeg
Cate & Chloe Layla Beauty Pendant

Here’s a great tip for organizing your jewelry and keeping the most frail chains of your necklaces safe. Instead of buying a fancy jewelry organizer, I can show you an inexpensive trick that requires only an investment toward a package of plastic straws.

This is what you do when you bring those straws home. Start by cutting a straw in half.  Take one side of the straw, thread the chain of one of those delicate necklaces through it, and fasten.  Repeat this process for each of your necklaces in need of protection.

You will see how nicely this trick works for the storage and quick jewelry retrieval in your current jewelry box without spending very much to do it.  In fact, you probably have those straws at home already.

I hope you try this because it works like a charm!

Cate & Chloe Jewelry's Diane "Divine" Necklace.jpeg
Cate & Chloe Jewelry's Diane "Divine" Necklace

Whether you want a lovely pick-me-up or something that you will cherish forever, Cate & Chloe Jewelry has the stylish pieces to satisfy your every whim.  Their chic, high-end jewelry can please even the most discriminating of buyers.

Each striking piece can range from $69 to $135 a piece like the gorgeous Diane "Divine" Necklace ($115) that I received to introduce their VIP Membership program.  This is a monthly jewelry subscription where you would get two such gorgeous items valued more than $200 for just $39.99 a month.

How this program works once you sign up is around the first of the month, you can expect to find some exquisite piece to arrive and then another near the fifteen of that month.  One of those dazzling items will be a pre-release piece that is only available if you are a subscriber while the other will be something carefully selected from their current collection.

Other than the $39.99 per month, there are no shipping charges to worry about even if you decide to buy additional Cate & Chloe jewelry.  In fact, you will be tempted since membership also entitles you to 20% discount of additional pieces as well, including sale items.  Trust me, but I think any fashion forward lady would find an offer like that hard to resist.

Take a close look at this "Divine" Necklace that showed up at my door.  This pear-shaped pendant inspired by Princess Diana is a faux diamond (three ct.) that is set off on a 18-inch sterling silver chain.  You should see how brilliantly the stone shines and catches light, especially against a vibrant color.  My particular obsession now is wearing emerald green with this piece.

If you don't like a piece, you can exchange it easily enough.  You simply contact their special phone or email support representative.

Subscribers know when their next shipment is on the way because they receive a tracking email the date it was sent.

This Cate & Chloe VIP Membership Monthly Jewelry Subscription is fun and exciting way to build up your jewelry collection. I do love my new "Divine" Necklace.  The suspense of what beautiful piece is coming next is killing yours truly.  But do not worry, I will tell you all about it when it arrives!

Do look into Cate & Chloe Jewelry's VIP Membership program because I know you will love it.  Something else exciting is that the company will give Nuts 4 Stuff readers 20% off your first month's membership when you enter coupon code Nuts4Stuff20 at checkout. (This code will only be valid on the standard month-to-month sign up of $39.99 a month).

Give Your Heart This Mother's Day With Lisa Hoffman Beauty's Swarovski ELEMENTS Pearl Bracelet! (Review)

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Swarovski ELEMENTS Pearl Bracelet.jpeg
Swarovski ELEMENTS Pearl Bracelet

I was delighted to hear that Lisa Hoffman Beauty expanded their scented jewelry with the new Swarovski ELEMENTS Pearl Collection to house her exquisite fragrances.  When asked if I cared to review one of those dazzling bracelets the reason I was thrilled was because the heart-shaped filigree charm dangling from those lustrous seven inches of pearly beads are not only gorgeous to dress up your wrist, but able to hold more of her captivating fragrance beads!

opened bracelet.jpeg
This is the bracelet opened.
Deciding on one of the five available fragrance choices was difficult since I do adore them all.  Nonetheless, I went with Tunisian Neroli, a bubbling fruity-floral with gardenia and fresh neroli warmed elegantly with golden amber, buchu leaf, and orange nectar.  This scent embodies everything feminine and romantic with style and sophistication.

Wearing scented jewelry is another beautiful expression of how you present yourself to the world.  After all, women can never have enough jewelry.

This collection comes in either Crystal Creamrose with Gold-Plating or Crystal White with Oxidized Silver-Plating.  I chose the gold.  Packed inside is a small pot with fragrance beads to keep that magic alive.

This bracelet is stunning, shimmering with that line of 8mm Swarovski ELEMENTS Pearls, on your wrist.  I loved how the scent moved with me and circulated, especially with my habit of talking with my hands.

You don't have to worry that you'll be overpowering because the fragrance gracefully floats with you.  In fact, you can layer with the matching eau de parfum, if desired, to reinforce this fresh bouquet or wear alone.

What woman wouldn't be happy receiving such a gift?  Find these Swarovski ELEMENTS Pearl bracelets for $85 on Lisa Hoffman Beauty or watch for its launch on HSN on April 29 at 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  and April 30 at 3:00 a.m. and 10:00 am.

My suggestion is to go make Mom or your wife smile this Mother's Day!  Take it from yours truly, she will.

An Elegant and Stylish Way to Scent Yourself! Review of Tuscan Fig Scented Necklace by Lisa Hoffman Beauty

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Lisa Hoffman Beauty Tuscan Fig Scented Necklace.jpeg
Lisa Hoffman Beauty Tuscan Fig Scented Necklace

Isn't great when you can indulge in a gorgeous scent while adding a finishing touch to your wardrobe?  I'm talking about the line of scented jewelry from Lisa Hoffman Beauty.  The piece sent to me for this review was a beautiful necklace that I immediately fell in love with.

The design of this 22-inch rose gold-plated necklace was simple, but elegant.  Suspended from the intricately carved filigreed charm rests a fragrance bead to magnificently set the piece off as it gracefully releases it captivating scent.

Mine happened to be glorious Tuscan Fig with a sweet floral gourmand influence from honeysuckle, fig, vanilla bean, and coconut wood.  Read my earlier review to appreciate how truly enticing this fragrance it.

The fragrance bead is eco-friendly and made  in such a fashion to disperse and maintain the maximum amount of its scent.  Thus, you can layer, build on your fragrance, or wear it alone in jewelry form.

My necklace came with a separate small jar of fragrance beads as well.  Each bead is advertised to last a week or to change it as needed.  I had mine now for nearly two weeks and the scent never faded in the least yet.

However, when it does start to lose its magic and the bead needs changing, the task is easy.  You open the bale and slide the charm off.  Near the top closure, you pry it open with your fingers or the little card it comes with to get access, then simply put in a new bead.  Snap the bale, reattach, and you're back in beautiful operation.

Expect to pay $65 for the necklace.  It does come with a small jar of fragrance balls, which can keep you smelling incredible for quite some time.  You do get quite a lot of beads in there but when you run out you can pick up another jar of refill beads for $20 in that scent or another for a change.

If you prefer the scent of Madagascar Orchid, you need to order the brushed gold-plated necklace.  Japanese Agarwood is the antique bronze-plated one, Tunisian Neroli is gold-plated,  whereas French Clary Sage is the oxidized silver toned necklace.  Having reviewed each of these scents, I honestly think it is hard to narrow a choice because they all are so heavenly, but in different ways.

I am so thrilled with my Tuscan Fig necklace because it is an ideal strength and another exciting way to wear my fragrance! I would love to try the larger opened cuff bracelet and see how that one worked.  Trust me, I would use a lot of hand motions to circulate my fragrance companion as I worked a room.

Do invest in one from Lisa Hoffman Beauty or hint around when gift giving time arrives because it is fabulous!

Vince Camuto Perfume.jpeg
Vince Camuto Perfume
Just as chic and sophisticated as his creations, the signature scent from designer, Vince Camuto and Parlux Fragrances, is a perfume of timeless elegance and style for today's woman.  This is a luxurious, polished floral chypre scent crafted by perfumer, Steve DeMarcado that is a compelling and complex blend of femininity.

The top notes of Vince Camuto start out spicy and sweet with intoxicating notes of rum absolute and osmanthus nectar.  As the fragrance further develops, the Bulgarian rose and night-blooming jasmine add romance and opulent richness.  Yet, there is a touch of the exotic to the glamour.  Notes of leather weave through this perfume as well like a lover's protective embrace to give it strength and comforting warmth.  Once the vanilla absolute, patchouli, amber and skin musk become apparent, the scent mellows into one of soft seduction and romance.

The beautiful glass bottle adored with red ribbon itself is a treasure.  From the stylish cap sporting the logo to the gold of the chain, you feel privileged just touching it.

How to Unravel That Knot in Your Necklace With Ease!

The next time you happen to get a knot in that chain of your favorite necklace, I have a great tip to help you fix that problem.

Put a drop of vegetable oil on the knot and then work at unraveling it with a straight pin.  You will find this works even on a delicate chain to fix that knot.
