You'll love what you can do for your eyes with this mascara.

Unlike some of you, I don’t naturally come by long, lush lashes unless I meet up with great mascara.  I don’t know if you had a chance to try Mally Beauty’s More Is More Mascara yet, but PR kindly sent me one to see what I thought.

This is a jet black formula with a nicely designed, slender brush with additional bristles on the tip for lengthening, defining and separating to give that effect of false lashes. This mascara also has a special sealant that helps protect from smudging and flaking.

The formula has a creamy, wonderful consistency that goes on the lashes beautifully.  This mascara really captures lashes easily to thicken and lengthen.  I liked how quickly I could build up my lashes and separate them for real impact without needing to curl them first.

This mascara is easy to take off, too.

My eyes can be sensitive, especially at this time of year with everything blooming.  However, the formula is gentle and non-irritating as well. This mascara also didn’t smudge in all the hours I had it on, but flaked slightly toward evening when I went to take it off.

Something else fantastic about More Is More mascara is how great this mascara is to remove with just a regular eye makeup remover.

The next time you are on the prowl for new mascara, especially if you don’t have the best lashes, make it a point to try Mally Beauty’s More Is More Mascara ($20) because you will be glad that you did!

A Makeup Tip to Make Your Sleep-Neglected Eyes Look More Awake!

tired brown eye.jpeg
This makeup tip can help open up the eye, providing more of a round shape, which helps your cause.

There are some days when you practically stumble out of bed.  Regardless of how sleep-deprived your eyes may look, but there is a way to help them to look more awake.

The first step after washing is splashing some cold water on your face to stimulate circulation and initially revive you.  Then you should try this mascara trick because it can further widen those eyes for you.

What you do is apply your mascara and concentrate your efforts on the middle lashes rather than the outer corners.  Load up several coats in this way does help sleepy eyes appear more open.  At the same time, this mascara technique even seems to help the eyes appear a bit more round in their shape.

Thicken Sparse Lashes With This Simple Makeup Trick!

woman applying mascara.jpeg
You'll be amazed at the extra lash thickness that you'll gain if you take my advice.

Not all of us are born with a heavy fringe of natural lashes.  Therefore, if you feel somewhat cheated and would love to bulk up your lashes, here is an easy way to plump them up using what you probably already have in your beauty bag.

First, you want to curl your lashes.  You’ll clamp the roots for a few seconds to prepare those lashes before releasing your hold.  Now change position and move your eyelash curler to the middle of the lashes and do the same thing before you’ll let go.  Finally, use the curler to give the lash tips several gentle squeezes will help lift them even more.

Get the Longest Lashes Ever With This Mascara Trick!

IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara.jpeg
IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara has a wonderful brush for this purpose that works like a charm.

If you want to maximize the length of normal lashes, you might think a lengthening formula of mascara is all that is called for.  While this is partly true because the formula does make a difference, there is something else just as important.

Consider the design of its wand.  Look for a lengthening mascara with a wand that has densely packed bristles.  This is the best design for getting that color onto each lash.  In fact, you’ll find maneuvering with this type of brush is easier when touching up the tips, the prime area to coat when striving for long lashes.

Do curl your lashes first, then after your initial coat of mascara try applying a second coat but only at the outer corners of your upper lashes.   Your lashes will lengthen considerably and look more subtle and natural from this technique.

I do hope you give it a shot because this little change will surprise you!

How to Open Up Eyes–Despite Short Lashes!

Here’s a great tip for anyone that happens to have a problem with short lashes.  Instead of struggling with an eye lash curler for lashes that are so difficult to grasp, I have a simpler solution.

When shopping for mascara, I suggest picking up curling mascara.  Once you take it home and try it, you are in for a pleasant surprise since the formulation contracts and causes lashes to lift up!

Though I have skimpy lashes, one product that I never had any desire to try with my sensitive eyes is false eyelashes. Gluing a pair on with my allergies would only invite trouble. In my case, I depend on a less risky option to build up volume.  However, an interesting product arrived from Mirenesse Cosmetics that allowed me to produce a thicker sort of fringe.

Due to their ionic technology, Mirenesse Cosmetics Instant Lash Extensions Mascara Duet Black is a gentle doubled-ended mascara capable of adding dramatic length to extend lashes.
One side has the black fibers.  The other end has the transparent gel, which adheres the fibers.

As someone with no experience gluing on false eyelashes, I found application was easier than I thought. All I did was follow their directions by coating the tips of my lashes with the gel before wiggling the brush from the bottom to the tops to cover everything.

The next thing I did was turn that tube around toward the end with the black fibers. The important thing to remember is that you need to brush on this mascara side before the gel has a chance to set, starting at the base and brushing upward again. Otherwise, the results may not be to your liking.

Once I finished with the fibers, I returned to the gel side and gave myself a bit more to secure the fibers before combing through my lashes to prevent any from sticking together.

These fibers really build up length quickly so be careful on how much you brush on. After all, you can get them in the wrong spot and have too much in one place and not enough in another. This is what I did the first time so just keep this mind.

What I thought was fantastic was not experiencing any flaking or smearing of any kind, only huge lashes that stayed put.

Furthermore, removal was simple.  All I did was use warm water and cotton squares that I pressed against them. Afterwards, these fibers slide off pretty quickly.

I was quite pleased how easy Mirenesse Cosmetics made it to transform my lashes with this one tube.  Do check out their Instant Lash Extensions Mascara Duet ($29.95) at their website!

Some women are lucky to be born with incredibly long, thick lashes.  I wish that I was one of them, but I was born with short, stubby little things passing themselves off as lashes.  Therefore, I depend on a mascara to create that beautiful illusion for me.  One fantastic answer to my prayers arrived unexpectedly in a box of products from prestige brand, Ellis Faas Cosmetics with their E401 Black Mascara.

No exaggeration here when I tell you this little silver bullet tube containing this magical formula can seemingly do it all for your eyes as it separates and lengthens every last lash, regardless of how tiny.

Pulling out the long, thin wand and watching how this rich black formula grabbed onto my lashes and built them up fairly quickly without clumping and irritation excited me.  Two coats are usually my limit unless I want to risk clown eyes that look like thick, dry prongs jutting out from your lids.  But I can take my lashes further with E401 and love the look of three coats.

The next time I tried this mascara on, I curled my lashes first.  Oh, my goodness, my eyes looked stunning with even longer, thicker glossy lashes from the help of my eye lash curler.

I even forgot I had mascara on and rubbed my eyes.  Guess what?  E401 Black Mascara did not smudge and give me black rings around my eyes.  Equally impressive was it lasted all day for me without flaking or bothering my delicate allergy eyes even in the midst of the ragweed season.

Highly acclaimed Dutch makeup artist, Ellis Faas, really solved the frustrating problem of sparse lashes with this fabulous mascara.  Ladies, try this E401 Black Mascara and you won't be disappointed.  A tube retails for $34 at the Ellis Faas website.
