This set is subtle floral sweetness that smells like a rose garden.

If you happen to be shopping for someone that loves rose scents, let me suggest Crabtree & Evelyn’s Rosewater as one to explore.  This company’s interpretation feels like you’re walking into a rose garden as the dew freshens the awakening petals left behind from an early morning shower.  This is the subtle floral sweetness that you may expect along with some fresh green notes.

With their Rosewater Traveler Toiletry Kit that I received for this review and giveaway, I got to savor that romantic beauty with a Rosewater Bath & Shower Gel (50mL), Rosewater Body Lotion (50mL), Rosewater Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy (25g) and a Nail Buffer tucked neatly inside of this lovely red cosmetic bag.

Bathing with the Rosewater Bath & Shower Gel is an instant way to turn your bathroom into an indoor rose garden.  I was in my element among those fragrant bubbles with moisturizing glycerine and extracts of rosewater, peony, magnolia, and elderflower as I washed.

The Rosewater Body Lotion was another delight whether to start a day or to follow after a bath or shower at night. This product has no mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, or proplyene glycol.  With its shea butter and beneficial oils of evening primrose, almond and coconut, I trapped in the moisture and perfumed my body with a delicate veil of rose. 

The Rosewater Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy turned my irritated, dry hands into happy, velvety ones. This sweet-smelling formula  isn’t overly slick either so I could still work on the computer without a problem.

Review: L’Occitane en Provence’s Aromachologie Revitalizing Body Scrub & Relaxing Massage Body Oil

Aromachologie Revitalizing Body Scrub

After an immediate family member was rushed suddenly to the hospital, I was stressed and exhausted, especially more so once that loved one’s condition suffered further complications from the medications once admitted.  

I was going back and forth to the hospital.  Trying to care for the rest of the family and hold myself together wasn’t exactly easy when the doctors don’t have answers and your loved one’s condition only gets worse instead of improving. I wasn’t sleeping all that well or thinking about the blog, if the truth is known, but when I was preparing for my bath one of those nights, I saw those L’Occitane en Provence's Aromachologie products I set aside. 

I grabbed the Aromachologie Revitalizating Body Scrub and ran my bath.  This sugar scrub has a delicate lavender herbal scent with an uplifting note of rosemary that keeps the fragrance sweet but more therapeutic for the way it affects your senses with its essential oils as you exfoliate.

Though unwinding in a leisurely bath with this scrub soothed as it smoothed, I loved the Relaxing Massage Body Oil even more with its with sweet almond oil, rosemary and lavender essential oils because it somehow did more. Once I finished rubbing a bit of this satiny feeling oil into my skin and spraying some of this calming lavender fragrance on my pillow, I felt tired and ready to close my eyes instead of lying there preoccupied with my worrisome thoughts as I had been.

This review for L’Occitane en Provence’s two Aromacologie skin care products couldn’t have arrived at a more opportune time for yours truly to test them.  Though I hope you won’t need to use them for the same reason that I did, I do recommend the Aromachologie Revitalizating Body Scrub ($34) and Relaxing Massage Body Oil ($34) for helping put you more at ease.

Some rose scents can be a bit strong, but In Bloom Noveau Rose is a fresh and light feminine mix of baby roses, dew-kissed leaves, and cyclamen flowers.  These products made for the perfect bath time experience for indulging my senses.

The Nouveau Rose Body Wash is a luxurious way to relax among those enticing scented bubbles.  This gentle formula has no sulfates or parabens to hamper its beauty, only plenty of antioxidants from fruits and vitamins to condition and moisturize as you bathe.  I found this formula requires very little on my sponge to foam up lots of fragrant bubbles to lavish over myself as I cleaned.

After I finally did finally emerge from my rose garden of a bath, I continued spoiling myself with the Nouveau Rose Hydrating Lotion.   Imagine how glorious it was spreading this rich scented lotion and moisturizing at the same time.  I could have kept reapplying just to savor that rose aroma that was smoothing my skin over like a coat of velvet.  Just as important, I got peace of mind without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, proplene glycol, phtalates, petrolatum, and synthetic colors to worry about.  In its place, your skin is rewarded with plenty of fruit antioxidants, vitamins, and evening primrose extract to make it perfect.

To top it and take more rose with me, I sprayed lightly over where I applied the lotion with the Nouveau Rose Fragrance Mist.  I loved how I smelled and this scent lingered after me while wearing it.  Layering did preserve that rose aroma even longer than just on bare skin as I also tried at another time.

I also got to try the Plus for Dry Skin Exfoliating Sugar Scrub for helping rid myself of any rough body skin.  This is also a delightful floral scent  with jasmine and fresh violet among softly seductive white musk as well as for a great treatment.  I appreciated how fine-textured the sugar granules were for buffing without causing any irritation.  The formula is rich such with beneficial oils such as sunflower, coconut, macadamia seed oils plus vitamins to keep skin glowing and restore the most moisture.

If you are drawn to floral scents as much as I am, then do pick Vitabath In Bloom Collection and the Plus for Dry Skin Exfoliating Sugar Scrub because it will make your day that much more beautiful without breaking the bank.  These also would be a welcome addition to any woman's holiday stocking when you're making out your gift list.
