Lovely scented skin care is always one of my favorite gifts.  I love to indulge and wrap myself in luxurious fragrance whether to cleanse, silken or enhance the scent of the perfume or eau de toilette that I’m wearing. If you’re looking for a similar type of holiday stocking stuffer, a good choice might be a soothing lavender fragrance like what I experienced after being sent Crabtree & Evelyn’s Lavender Traveler Toiletry Kit ($24) for this review and giveaway.

This kit features their Lavender Bath & Shower Gel (50mL), Lavender Body Lotion (50mL), Lavender Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy (25g) and a Nail Buffer that is presented in a striking maroon cosmetic bag.

Unlike their original Classic Lavender, their new scent is softer and more of a powdery, fresher version that also gained warmth due to notes of sweet violet, jasmine, tonka bean, musk along with some invigorating brightness from lemon than the heavier herbal formulation. 

Bathing with their award-winning Lavender Bath & Shower Gel was, indeed, calming as I allowed that scent to work its magic as it cleansed and moisturized with its beneficial lavender oil and floral extracts. The formula has glycerin and is free of mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol or sodium lauryl sulfate.

After that blissful soak, I pampered myself with a good measure of the lavender body Lotion to preserve that peaceful state of mind.  This lotion absorbed quickly and did not leave me greasy feeling at all.

The Lavender Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy is not sticky or greasy. This hand cream is concentrated and sinks into irritated hands quickly, leaving lingering sweetness behind.

A Great Way to Infuse Skin With Moisture--Crabtree & Evelyn's NEW English Honey & Peach Blossom Collection Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy and Body Butter (Review)

Crabtree & Evelyn's English Honey & Peach Blossom Body Butter

No wonder honey has held such high esteem throughout the ages with its healing and beautifying properties.  Crabtree & Evelyn's new line harnesses that skin transforming power into their English Honey & Peach Blossom Collection.  I was fortunate to experience two of these fabulous hydrating products with their Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy and Body Butter for this review. 

Winter can be hard for any skin.  However, it can be merciless if you happen to already have dry skin, which I do.  Therefore, I was thrilled about seeing how this pair would work on my suffering skin. 

Following my shower, the first product that I tried was the English Honey & Peach Blossom Body Butter.  The scent is warm and enticing, oozing with the soft sweetness of honey and luscious peach even before you dive into it.  Once you do, I found the texture was a rich blend that got easily absorbed and replaced my dryness with velvet-like softness.  The formula also has other wonderful lubricating ingredients to that honey and peach blossom extract with moringa oil and shea butter.

Regardless of how often I apply hand lotions and creams, I always seem to be fighting chapping.  What the English Honey & Peach Blossom Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy formula is said to do is to make hands feel softer with each application while moisturizing with other skin soothing ingredients like shea butter, peach blossom extract and macadamia nut oil.  Myrrh is also added for what it can do to condition the cuticles and nails.  

English Honey & Peach Blossom Hand Therapy

The increased softness claim sounded almost too good to be true, but this hand cream does exactly that and more without feeling greasy or sticky.  In fact, this product managed to heal the redness much sooner and left a petal like softness in its wake the more I reached for that tube.   I can't tell how much it helped my cuticles or nails, but this is an excellent hand cream for hurting hands in need of tender loving care.

What a perfect way to warm a heart than with this latest fragrance from Crabtree & Evelyn that I predict has the power to chase away thoughts of bitter cold weather.  Their recently launched 2013 Verbena and Lavender de Provence reminds me of bottling all the fresh beauty of summer with herbs, citrus, floral, and woods along with all the abundant sunshine to produce this remarkable upbeat citrus aromatic scent.

The opening is lively as the fragrance picks up on the herbaceous notes of verbena and lavender, which combine in just the right balance to keep the lemony verbena from overpowering the lavender.  As a result, the lavender delightfully lifts the fragrance as easily as if it had wings, giving it more of an aromatic effect to that of the citrus and herbs.  This lemony influence remains and weaves its happy energy against the soft floral and green notes in the heart.  Once the cedar, amber and tonka bean comes into play as the fragrance dries down, the scent mellows and takes on a powdery sweetness to compliment that gentle and relaxing, herbaceous blend with flare. 

Crabtree & Evelyn's Verbena and Lavender de Provence Cologne is especially wonderful to wear in the day because it's light as well as bright without being intrusive at your workplace.  This is the one that will help perk up any bad day to make you feel good.    I especially loved that contented, cozy feeling this fragrance leaves you with like a well-deserved hug after a job well done.

Whether I'm taking a leisurely soak in a tub, smoothing my skin with some divine smelling lotion, spritzing or dabbing fragrance, I delight in pampering myself with an endless beauty of scented products.  I indulged myself recently with the newly launched scent from Crabtree & Evelyn of sparkling citrus that is delicately reborn with vibrant herbs, sensual woods, and romanticized softly with patchouli leaves that I was sent.  This is the Tarocco Orange, Eucalyptus & Sage Body and Hand Care Collection and what I describe is only the beginning of its splendor.

This is such a bright, uplifting scent bursting with citrus freshness and yet it is so much more complicated due to the modern twist Crabtree & Evelyn has given it with eucalyptus and sage. 

The blend of those leafy green herbs lends a stimulating effect that is also so soothing in the way those notes come into play and subdue the scent's initial brightness.  That pairing of herbs remarkably softens to produce a clean scent that is lighter and far more interesting than you can imagine.  

Though comfortable as can be, this fragrance never sleeps from that channeled green energy, restoring you with a new sense of well-being.  At this point you are at now at one with yourself as the base notes surface, slowly seducing with sensual cedarwood and haunting crushed patchouli leaves, to warm you in their tender embrace.

The Tarocco Orange, Eucalyptus & Sage collection includes Skin Invigorating Bath & Shower Gel, Skin Refreshing Body Lotion, Deep Cleansing Body Scrub, Body Skin Silkening Souffle, Refreshing Body Mist, and the Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy.  The company was kind enough to send me the lotion, gel, and hand cream to experience their new sensation firsthand. 

Besides the heavenly aroma of this combination of botanicals, I adored how moisturized my skin became as it absorbed every luscious drop of the body lotion following my long soak in the tub with that well-lathering bath gel.  The lotion is formulated without color, phthalates, mineral oil, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfate or parabens, which warms my heart further since those potential health risks were avoided.

The Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy is a rich intensive treatment that only require a small amount to remedy rough, winter hands.  This formula has shea butter and macadamia nut oil that do absorb wonderfully without that heavy greasy feel.  Myrrh is added to help condition the look of your cuticles and fingernails at the same time.
