Laura Geller Just Blushing Palette Trio of Baked Blush Shades Review + Swatches!

Laura Geller Just Blushing Palette Trio and swatches.jpeg
For help lighting up the face for a gorgeous glow, start with my index finger Bora Bora/Maui, Tropic Hues (middle), then Golden Apricot  (third finger).

Cheeks never had it so good once they meet up with Laura Geller’s Just Blushing Palette Trio of stunning Baked Blush shades.  This limited edition palette that PR sent among some other irresistible foundations that I will share with you later is what you need to light up a face with beautiful gleaming hues of striking swirled combinations of pinks, berries, coral and bronze.

As to the three blush colors, here are the shades.   Tropic Hues is a cool tone of a berry, pink, bronze mix, Bora Bora/Maui is coral infused pink accented with a bit of berry and Golden Apricot might be described more as a bronze-coral riveted to life with streaks of red berries.

These pressed and well-pigmented powder blushes have a creamy, silky texture that adheres to the complexion like a second skin and stay there until its time to remove your makeup.  My complexion beamed and appeared naturally radiant wearing these baked blushes.

If you are searching for brilliant, lit up color from your blush and never tried this brand’s baked blush ($26), Laura Geller’s Just Blushing Palette is something that you should take advantage of with three amazing shades for just $34, a real bargain if you ask me!

How to Change the Texture of Your Blush for a More Youthful, Dewy Glow

makeup products with cream blush.jpeg
Age or skin type can benefit  simply by changing the texture of your blush!

The more we age, the more we keep needing to rethink our makeup and skin care products to adapt to our changing faces as they tend to dull, lose elasticity and often dry.  Perhaps, you have been noticing that some blush shades that you used to wear now seem too harsh and exaggerate problem areas.  If so, I have a great way solution that can easily change all that for you by customizing your own blush mix to mute the color for a softer, healthy glow.

To do this, you need a cream blush and tinted moisturizer.  Though any tinted moisturizer will do, I found the illuminating formulas are especially wonderful for adding radiance.

What you can do is mix some of each the cream blush and tinted moisturizer in the palm of your hand so you’ll have enough for both cheeks, then apply and blend with your foundation, BB cream or tinted moisturizer that you wear.  The end product that you’ll see once you glance into the mirror is a beautiful, more translucent effect that will be much kinder to your face.

Regardless of how old you are, anyone with a dry complexion can benefit from this makeup trick as well.  Try my makeup tip because it does help take some years off and who doesn't love that?

Review + SWATCHES : Mineral Fusion Blushes (Airy, Flashy)

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Mineral Fusion Flashy Blush.jpeg
Here is Flashy Mineral Fusion Blush.

Mineral Fusion Airy Blush.jpeg
This is Mineral Fusion Airy Blush.

Who doesn’t want a blush that looks so natural that the color appears radiating from within you than some cosmetic?  There are quite a few companies that can help you do that.  However, not all their formulas with many, tiny printed chemical ingredients listed also on those products are the same despite those beauty results like what you can expect from Mineral Fusion’s cosmetics, a natural brand that offers a healthier option.

This wonderful vegan cosmetic brand takes the guessing out of what possibly could be going into your skin with their purer formulas. Take the Mineral Fusion Blush that I got to try.  Their product has no talc, glutens, fragrance, phthalates or artificial color.

Flashy is a warm pink with a peachy tone.  On the company’s website, they describe Airy as mauve shimmer.  Against my skin, this is a shimmer shade that has some copper to that mauve. These are the two lovely shades I was sent, but there are four other colors available.

Swatches of Mineral Fusion Airy and Flashy Blush.jpeg
Here I swatched both Mineral Fusion Blushes for you.  Airy is closest to my wrist with Flashy on the left.

The best part is how your face looks once you dust this silky natural blush on.  I noticed that it seems to brighten the skin up, more than just from flattering color on the surface but at a deeper level.  Maybe it is the pomegranate, white tea, red tea, sea kelp, vitamins, and antioxidants that managed to pull that off. Whatever it is, my face loves the glow and so will yours.

If you want to feel like your skin is beaming, you need to visit Mineral Fusion website or Whole Foods and check out their Blushes ($21.99).

Review + Swatches: Mineral Fusion's Glow & Go 3-in-1 Color Sticks (Terra Cotta, Rosette) for a Natural, Lit Up Glow That I Love!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Mineral Fusion Terra Cotta Glow & Go Color Stick.jpeg
This is the Mineral Fusions erra Cotta Color Stick.  This is a peach-pink.

For a sheer wash of fresh color, you got to love a cream blush for the believable flush it can give your cheeks.  Anyone with a dry complexion like myself would appreciate that moist radiance even more.  It can provide a “non-makeup” look, but also for the wonderful way this blush form feels against the skin.

I had the chance to try Mineral Fusion’s Glow & Go 3-in-1 Color Sticks in Terra Cotta and Rosette.  This mineral formulated cream blush stick is one that you can feel really good using.  With healthier ingredients to benefit the skin to repair, protect and soothe like pomegranate and white tea, vitamins, licorice root extract, aloe leaf juice and mineral pigments, they beautify while caring for the complexion without risking it to more dangerous chemicals.
Mineral Fusion Rosette Glow & Go Color Stick.jpeg
Here is Rosette Color Stick, which is a great pink without any orange tones.

I liked the lightweight formula of these blush sticks and how easily they melted into the skin, leaving a beautiful breath of airy, natural color to my complexion with a delicate shimmer and no sparkling flecks. They also wear quite well.

Mineral Fusion Glow & Glo Color Stick swatches.jpeg
Rosette is closest to my wrist with Terra Cotta on the right.  Look at that beaming color.

Rosette is a nice brighter pink that gives cheeks that ideal glow to enliven your complexion. Anyone can wear this beautiful color.

Terra Cotta is just as lovely, and with the same depth of color, only this choice will give you more of a peach-toned pink glow while also brightening your cheeks with soft gleam.

There are also other colors choices in this line, Berry Glow and Magnetic, which are shimmer free. They retail for $19.99.  Mineral Fusion 3-in-1 Color Sticks are available on the company’s website or Whole Foods Markets, but do think of trying these two shimmer shades especially for that lit up glow!

Review: IT Cosmetics NEW CC + Vitality Brightening Creme Blush with Angled Radiance Brush to Dazzle Like You Were Born to!

Disclaimer:  This post is based on a free product provided by a company as a press sample so that I may offer my own  opinion, which may be the same or differ from yours.

IT Cosmetics CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush

IT Cosmetics really does understand how to enhance a woman’s beauty and work with an aging face.  With their new CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush and Angled Radiance Brush for application that I have been using, you can’t help but notice how fresh and genuine of a glow emerges while fading some years off a face in the process.

This blush comes in only one universal shade called Naturally Pretty, an innocent pink that reminds me of an infant’s cheek with its tender flush.  Regardless of your coloring, I think this particular tone of the creme blush shade can compliment all complexions from how this illuminating influx of healthy color manages to seep through the skin.

You do have an advantage of picking up just enough of this creamy blush with how well this airy, angled brush captures this smooth spreading pigment.  If you need more, you just need to dip your brush in again for another round of pigment.

IT Cosmetics Angled Radiance Brush.jpeg
IT Cosmetics Angled Radiance Brush helps better deliver that amazing glow.

With my dry complexion, I loved how the CC+ Creme Blush made my cheeks beam to look dewy and so angelic while keeping that beautiful look intact for hours.  The glow was more natural appearing than a powder with how thoroughly it merged with my complexion.

IT Cosmetics NEW CC + Vitality Brightening Creme Blush swatch.jpeg
Here is a swatch of IT Cosmetics CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush.

Thanks to IT Cosmetics amazing anti-aging technology that also hydrates with ingredients like with peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, niacin, algae, silk, anti-Oxidants, and Drops of Light Technology for brightening, this CC+ Creme Blush does a better job of distracting the eye from those fine lines and creases while it colors.  I call that remarkable.

Take it from this IT Cosmetics girl, try this CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush ($24) and the Angled Radiance Brush ($48) and start subtracting some time of your face as well!   This one will be a keeper.

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blush (Kinky and Savvy) Review + SWATCHES!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blush (Kinky and Savvy).jpeg
Kinky is on the left and  the more matte shade of Savvy is on the right.

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blush offers a wonderful alternative to providing natural glowing mineral color that is packed with anti-aging benefits derived from grapes
and resveratrol. This is a caring blush manufactured without parabens, glutens, or any testing on animals to make it even more beautiful.

I received two of the four shades in the pressed powder blush form with Kinky (a gorgeous brighter pink with gleams of gold that burst to life when it touched my fair,  warm complexion) and Savvy (a cooler toned mauve color that was a bit darker and more subdued in the radiance department for my skin ).

Modeling Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blushes.jpeg
Closest to my wrist is Kinky then  the deeper toned, Savvy.

These blushes don’t cake and do really last quite long.  I do want to try the cream version sometime and compare which formula I like better.  Have you tried these blushes yet?

Find the Chateau Cheeks Blush line ($18) at Pur Minerals. Do check them out!

Josie Maran Cosmetics Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelees Trio Review + ($66) Giveaway!--Ends October 10, 2014

An incredibly natural way to blush is with Josie Maran’s Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelees.  Their natural sheer glow helps get you effortlessly gorgeous in a formula that really holds up for hours.  I was fortunate to be sent three for this review and giveaway.

Berry Bliss Gelee.jpeg
Take a look at Berry Bliss.
There are a six shades in this line.  Berry Bliss is an ideal Fall color of a sheer wine. Coconut Oasis is a tangerine orange color that was my least favorite of the three with the yellow tones in my skin. On the other hand, Getaway Red delivers a red wash of color that also suited my fair to light warm complexion very well.

Coconut Oasis Gelee.jpeg
Here is Coconut Oasis.

What surprised me was the feel when I first put a finger in it. This gelee looks like it would have a looser, wiggly type of consistency and smell of coconuts. Instead, it is rather firm and void of scent.  But, this gelee was still easy to apply and blend.  A little of the product was all that was necessary to awaken my cheeks like the blush came from me and not a jar.

Getaway Red Gelee.jpeg
This one is Getaway Red.
Though this product adequately moisturized and felt lightweight on my dry skin, I had expected more intensive hydration from its formula featuring 50% coconut water to 100% argan oil.  Still, I cannot complain especially when considering how long this blush wears.  In fact, this product can adhere to your skin so well that you might need to work a little harder to take this gelee off!

Have you tried these Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelees ($22) yet?  If not, I do recommend look into picking one or few up because you will like them.

Review: Mineral Fusion Natural Brands 3-in-1 Color Stick (Berry Glow)

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Mineral Fusion Natural Brands 3-in-1 Color Stick (Berry Glow).jpeg
Mineral Fusion Natural Brands 3-in-1 Color Stick (Berry Glow)

When I am looking for a blush, I want something soft and natural.  Of course, there are quite a few that can do just that for your face.  But how many of them would you classify as having healthier ingredients?  A new one that I just tried is from Mineral Fusion Brands with their recently launched 3-in-1 Color Sticks.

This mineral blush saves you worrying about what else goes into your skin.  You can rest assured that this company did a great job with this line of gluten and paraben free blushes because the color looks like it is shining from underneath your skin instead of just on top of it.

Berry Glow is the rosy-plum color I received in this pretty stick blush.  The color is a sheer wash of vibrant pink  with a delicate shimmer that looks wonderful on a warm complexion.

It didn't feel at all heavy, nor look greasy, and was effortless to blend.  Furthermore, it lasted a long time and I am very pleased with it.

The 3-in-1 Color Stick retails for $19.99 at Mineral Fusion Brands or any Whole Foods Markets.  Three other shades are also available.

I suggest you try this new blush for yourself because you will love it!

Wake Up Your Look--Ellis Faas Skin Blush S304 (Mulled Wine) Review--Photo--SWATCH!

Disclaimer:  This post is based on a free product provided by a company as a press sample so that I may offer my own  opinion, which may be the same or differ from yours.
Ellis Faas Skin Blush S304.jpeg
Ellis Faas Skin Blush S304

When it comes to creating a beautiful palette of makeup shades, acclaimed Dutch makeup artist, Ellis Faas, certainly knows her business.  The colors in Ellis Faas Cosmetics are based on ones the body naturally produces in order to best compliment our skin.  A prime example is Skin Blush S304 that I received to review.

Just like her other cosmetics in this prestige line, this blush is manufactured in another silver bullet-like pen.  The first version of this blush had a sponge applicator, which later was replaced with a synthetic brush tip for fewer risks of clogging.
At first glance, the color of S304 looks like a red-plum shade when it flows to the brush tip.  However, I was surprised that once I dabbed a bit of the color onto my cheek and blended it into my skin, the shade transformed itself.  Before my eyes, I discovered the color gained a bit of bronze to subdue most of the red-plum until it became more of a russet-bronze.

Ellis Faas Skin Blush S304 swatch.jpeg
Here is a swatch of Ellis Faas Skin Blush S304

Although it was different from what I had expected, this russet-bronze had warmth and vitality.  At the same time, S304 gave my skin a healthy boost of sunny color and beneficial skin assistance from essential oils, vitamins, and rose water.  This is not some flat blush that just sits on your cheeks.  The look is luminous, casting a delicate gleam to bring out your bone structure.
Be careful on how much of the color you dispense.  This is a very pigmented blush where just a small amount will suffice.
Ellis Faas Skin Blush S304 is a trooper whether you use prime first or not.  This product can last for hours without going anywhere!
Despite the color being a tad too dark for my light skin, I thought this was a beautiful way to blush especially for those with medium to dark complexions. Ellis Faas Skin Blush S304 retails for $32.  Do check this product out.

Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo Compact With Brush (Effortless Peach) Review + ($45) Giveaway!--Ends October 24, 2013

Disclaimer:  This post is based on a free product provided by a company as a press sample so that I may offer my own  opinion, which may be the same or differ from yours.
Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo Compact With Brush.jpeg
Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo Compact With Brush

True radiance is healthy color along with a pure glow when it comes to finding an ideal blush.  Yet, what if I told you that I discovered one that does those things and also gives your face a luminous, airbrush perfect type of finish?  This is my experience with Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo that I had the chance to review.

My admiration for this compact began upon seeing the gorgeous warm shade of this peach blush and that pearly champagne color of the highlighter.  Soon though that feeling deepened once I dabbed my finger to test what the texture of the powder was like.  I was falling in love already because it possessed a wonderful silkiness that clung like a second skin to that finger.

My love affair with Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo quickly heated up.  I took that double-sided brush that comes with this compact and swirled the lighter end into the highlight shade.  I swept some over my eyelids first and then made a path in a semicircle to my cheekbones.  This trick lifts your cheekbones to new heights.

The ground was set and I was already loving what this compact did so far.  When I switched ends and dusted on a bit of that peach to the apples of my cheeks, I fell further in love.   This well-pigmented blush looked like that natural peach surfaced from within me instead of from a mere cosmetic.

swatch-of-peach-glow.jpeg
You won't be able to fully appreciate the peach glow  only the color  in this photo unlike the next picture.

modeling-highlight.jpeg
In this spookier photo that looks like my severed arm, I wanted you to see how exquisitely this duo illuminates.  Notice how the peach also beams  brilliantly with gold radiating throughout.

I thought this blush wore pretty well.  I had it on in the morning and it was still lovely through the afternoon.  When I wore it the next day and put a primer on, I had that beautiful glow lasting longer into the early evening before I took it off.

Instead of buying a separate blush and highlighter, Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo is an excellent multi-tasking compact that can't be beat for convenience and what you can do with it.

It is available for $45 in the Effortless Peach shown or Easy Pink at Mally Beauty.  Trust me, you are going to want that extra glow for the slew of holiday parties that are coming up!

Get Your Glow on!--Mineral Fusion Natural Brands Blush (Pale & Impact) Review--Photos + SWATCHES!

Disclaimer:  This post is based on free products provided by a company as a press sample so that I may offer my own  opinion, which may be the same or differ from yours.
Mineral Fusion logo.jpeg
Mineral Fusion

Trying to find a blush to capture a realistic healthy glow that you are happy with can take some doing.  However, I received two from Mineral Fusion Natural Brands that you should take a look at for what they can do for a face.

Besides being a safer cosmetic, these mineral blushes are free of parabens, glutens, artificial colors, fragrance, and talc as well as infused with beneficial anti-aging pomegranates, white tea, red tea, sea kelp, vitamins C and E to promote healthy skin.

Pale is the first one that I tried.  This is a soft pink-peach color that has a delicate shimmer.  I thought it gave my light skin a fresh and subtle glow that bloomed with gorgeous spring like color.  The color's perfect balance of the two tones is what make Pale so natural looking.

Impact is the other shade sent.  This is a darker color with hints of red in its peachy-brown warmth that has a gentle gleam.  Since my complexion is light, I liked this  more as a bronzer than a blush.  The shade is sunny radiance and would probably compliment those with medium to darker complexions better.

Mineral Fusion Natural Brands Blush (Impact).jpeg
Mineral Fusion Natural Brands Blush (Impact)

The texture is perfect and silky for when your blush brush glides over it.  The product is neither too powdery with dust flying everywhere nor too condensed that repeated swiping is required before the powder lifts from the container with your brush.

Furthermore, these blushes wore for hours without fading.  I put them on before breakfast and they held their own until late afternoon.

The darkest shade on the right that is closest to my wrist is Impact with Pale on the left in this photo.

I really liked these blushes and am eager to try more colors in the near future.  These are incredibly natural and long-wearing blushes that I was quite taken with.

Have you tried Mineral Fusion Natural Brands blushes yet? Tell me your favorite shades.

They retail for $21.99 at Mineral Fusion Natural Brands website or Whole Food stores.  Do look into these and get your glow on!
