This palette gives a graceful, softer glow than over the top shine or intense sparkle.

Have you noticed that a sure way to make any complexion look better is by casting it in light?  With the help of a good highlighting product, you can instantly energize the skin with that ideal subtle glow.  One that may interest you is PUR Cosmetics Elevation Mini Highlighter Palette with Fan Brush that PR sent along for my opinion.

This palette is slim to travel well.

This three-pan palette is compact and perfect if you plan on traveling or carrying in your handbag with its smaller size.  It also comes with a fan brush, which is nice to find.

Inside, you get three different shades of vitamin-E enriched powders.  Boost is a shimmering champagne highlight.   Attitude is basically white intertwined with traces of pink and violet-blue.  It also has some gleam to it, but offers more of a powder finish.  Upgrade is a soft rose-gold highlight that also lends a delicate gleam to wherever you need it.

My complexion ranges between fair to light.  I thought Boost and Upgrade worked well for me just as I feel they would for others with the same skin tone.  Attitude doesn’t provide that same subtle glow since it is the palette’s color correcting powder.

Yet, all is not perfect.  You do get some fallout, which may bother some.

However, if you are searching for an easy to wear highlighter without obvious chunky glitter or intense shine and want a gentle natural glow, I do recommend PUR’s Cosmetics Elevation Mini Highlighter Palette with Fan Brush ($15). Check it out!

This compact can brighten up a dull skin and erase some time off of your face with its soft natural glow.

I am a big fan of highlighting products.  The reason I am so obsessed with them is because with the soft glow they can give the skin, it can subtract a few years from a face to make it look younger.  Therefore, I was pleased when PR kindly sent Josie Maran’s Argan Enlightenment Illuminizing Powder Veil along for me to test.

This is a buttery-textured, champagne colored powder that has micro-fine shimmers that can give skin a natural glow with its beautiful golden-beige cast of light.  It is easy to blend and just the thing to wake up a dull complexion and enhance any foundation with its extra radiance.

I really liked how this silky formula complimented my fair warm complexion with its more neutral beige toned sheen instead of one being overly glittery, powdery looking or having too much white or pink to it.

If you’re interested in a great natural looking highlighting powder, I definitely recommend checking Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizing Powder Veil ($30) because I think it could work with practically any skin tone to help it along!

Nothing can bring more holiday magic to your look than what a delicate golden sheen can bring  to your face. That metallic luster of gold as it lights up whatever skin that it touches adds a striking luminosity regardless of your coloring.

A gilded look for your eyes, nails, and cheeks go hand in hand with festive celebrations like holiday parties. Getting gilded can speak volumes to make sure all eyes are directed at you with how the perfect metallic gold can make you shine.

You might want to start that glowing transformation with Laura Geller’s Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey ($26)  that their company surprised me with.  This disc of fine, metallic-flecked highlighting powder packs a soft, golden luster that adds something sensational to your look with its warm, jewel-like glow.

Swatch of Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator (Gilded Honey).  See how that golden light seems to dance against the skin.

According to the website, this illuminator is meant to feel like a cream.  This is a finely milled powder that feels silky enough to cling to the fingers when touched from its moister consistency, though I wouldn’t necessarily go that far in comparing it to a cream.

The brush you use determines the amount and extent of coverage that you get. You could use a fan-brush to help disperse the pigment, but I found using a smaller one, like a dome-shaped eye shadow brush gives more control to direct that light where you need.  A larger brush will pick up more of the pigment.  With the smaller brush, you can always add more pigment, which is better than using too much. After all, you don’t want to look like a golden statue, which can happen if that brush picks up too much pigment.

As to wear, I had it on from early morning until after dinner when I tested it the first time and it still was there.
If you’re looking for a great illuminator, you got to try Laura Geller’s Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey because it plays up your features in an unbelievable way.  Take my advice, do get gilded because you’ll love it!
