Fuego-Box-January-2018.jpeg
What a delicious way to bring on the heat!

The easiest way to add some flavor excitement to your food is through hot sauces.  With Fuego Box, each month is a tasteful new adventure with three spicy, hot sauces that will change how you think of ordinary hot sauce with what they offer your taste buds.

The cost of this hot sauce subscription box is $29.95 per quarter for three different sauces that includes free USA shipping.  The company also provides an informational card about each of that month’s selections and suggests the best foods to enjoy them with.

January 2018 has three more great sizzling finds starting with Hank’s Heat Hank SauceThis is a medium, savory heat that is quite versatile in its blend of cayenne and habanero peppers, garlic, vinegar, and spices.  Feel free to shake on as much as you like without fearing the intensity of its delicious flames.

The second hot sauce this month is from Clark + Hopkins with their Kerala Pepper Sauce. This is an orange-brown that has curry spices along with habaneros and bird’s eye chili peppers along with kaffir lime leaf for a unique taste experience.  I started enjoying this one for the first time on my scrambled eggs.  It also is going to be tested next on my chicken.

The final offering this month is a jalapeno-based hot sauce of Ghost Pepper Verde from Fuego Spice Co. with their Riza Sauce.  This also is a medium heat that goes wonderfully on whatever you usually add hot sauce to.

Winter is especially a great time to heat up your body, speed up that metabolism and enjoy the delights of hot sauces and Fuego Box.  Check them out because they can help you keep you from the cold!

Hot sauce helps speed up the metabolism to help burn more calories!

A trick that I find helpful to stay warmer when it's cold is to use more hot sauces on my foods and recipes when cooking.  This extra addition of spicy fire always adds a welcome savory nip to boost up flavor.  A Fuego Box hot sauce subscription always keeps my cooking creativity evolving with each new trio of hot sauces that arrive each month.

This month I found Bigfat’s Sea of Green Verde Style Hot Sauce.  This is a versatile, medium heat of a sauce.  It has roasted tomatillos, poblano and habanero peppers enhanced to their delicious potential from garlic, tangy lime juice and cilantro that you can sprinkle freely on a bounty of foods.

El Machete Insurgente has fire-roasted orange habanero peppers, garlic, carrots, onion, and spices to fire up dishes.  I did add some to my bean dip instead of cayenne pepper and it was devilishly good.  Next time, I plan on using some to marinade chicken in.

Red Robot Peachslap is a fruit-inspired hot sauce with peaches to balance out the heat of the habanero peppers.  The result is a very pleasing milder heat with bit of sweetness to it, which I enjoyed this morning on my scrambled eggs.

If you love the taste of hot and spicy or have friends and family that do or are trying to lose weight, then a Fuego Box subscription would make a perfect gift.  For $29.95 per quarter, you get three artisan hot sauces with free USA shipping. You also get an informational card about each sauce and how best to enjoy them.  Check it out!

Here's a tasty mix of spicy, heat!

Some people can’t understand my love of hot sauces that I use almost like they do with salt and pepper.  My feeling is the extra heat and spices intensify the flavor of foods while helping me burn more calories since it speeds up the metabolism.  The way I see it a hot sauce subscription like Fuego Box is a win-win for culinary enjoyment and the figure.

For instance, let me tell you about this November selection.  Hoff’s Southern Stinger is an award winning sauce that has a nice zip from Scorpion chiles with a sweet, bright edge from oranges and carrots.  This was delicious sauce on scrambled eggs.

Born to Hula Harvest creates a new sauce every year featuring a different brand.  This year the company focused on Carribean red peppers along with apple juice, pumpkin and spices of the fall season for a unique flavor twist.  This is a medium sweet hot burn that was very good with fish.

The last one this month was Honey Squash Hot Sauce from Butterfly Bakery of Vermont.  This is medium hot sauce with green jalapenos, butternut squash, honey, and vinegar.  This was delicious on a burger, but I believe would perk up practically any dish that you use hot sauce on.

Fuego Box is great because they bring three artisan hot sauces to your door for just $29.95 per quarter with free USA shipping. You even get an informational card about each sauce and how best to enjoy them.

I dare you to find such unusual hot sauces in your local grocery store because you won’t.  This is the beauty of Fuego Box so check them out!

Hot sauce can a dieter's friend.  It helps speed up metabolism.

Besides supplementing any dish with some extra great flavor, I adore hot sauces because they help the body burn more calories.  An ideal way to get my fix is through a hot sauce subscription like my favorite, Fuego Box.

Each box brings an assortment of three hot sauces from small batch artisan producers to your door.  You would be hard pressed to find any of these in your local grocery store for just $29.95 per quarter with free shipping. Also included in each box, you get an informational card for the foods and dishes the choices are best suited for.

Their hot sauce selection is as unique as you can imagine with exotic touches such as September 2017's Spicy Curry Sauce from Volcanic Peppers.  This delight uses aleppo peppers along with coconut milk and a secret curry powder combination to thrill the taste buds.  I just had some with chicken and a side dish of rice, which made for a delicious nippy change.

The next was an olive-colored hot sauce with medium heat called Thai Green from Seed Ranch.  It possesses a fresh twist from lemon grass, Thai ginger, basil and cilantro amongst green chilies.  This was tasty in my garbanzo bean dip that I whipped up, but use it on eggs as well or whatever else you normally use hot sauce with.

Endless Summer from Heartbreaking Dawns has a tropical influence with some sweetness from pineapple-spiked rum, spearmint, red habaneros and ghost peppers, onions, garlic as star ingredients along with spices.  This perks up any salad dressing or burger with its zesty brightness.

If you are like me and love hot and spicy foods or looking for a way to speed up your body’s metabolism, I think that you would love Fuego Box.  Stop over at their website and sign up.  Thank me, later!

There is a lot of combustible flavor excitement in this special collection Fuego Box!

If you are addicted to hot and spicy flavors, now is the time to open your seasoned taste buds to Fuego Box’s Screaming Mimi trio of 2017 hot sauce champions–-that is, if you’re up to the challenge from this hot sauce subscription box.

To start your screaming journey to deliciousness, there is the Dirty Dicks Hot Pepper Sauce to enjoy.  This one was the 2017 Grand Champion from the Screaming Mimi event in NYC Hot Sauce Expo.  The taste of this tropical spicy fire erupts quickly from this artful blend of habanero peppers, fruits and spices and was a perfect compliment to my scrambled eggs this morning. This one is suitable for chicken, sandwiches, burgers or adding to your recipes.

The sauce that won first place in the Jalapeno category was Hellfire Gourmet Green  Hot Sauce.  This used Granny Smith apples, garlic, lime, scallions and spices to bring more to jalapeno peppers and wicked Carolina Reaper peppers.  All I can say is yum!  I sampled some on my burger, but this will be good on a lot of things.  Next, I am going to use some in my salad.

Last, but not least, is the 2017 Hot Sauce Hall of Fame Inductee of Gator Hammock Gator Sauce.  This blasts wicked heat through a secret blend of spices to pack a lot of flavor and yet without an excessive burn that will make you run for a glass of milk.    I consider this sauce versatile to use with eggs, fish, chicken or sandwiches.  It’s just up to you to explore.

The cost for a Fuego Box  is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  You also get an informational card about the sauces and recommended foods to go along with each sauce.

Trust me, you can’t find sauces like this in your typical grocery store because these hot sauces from Fuego Box come from all over the country. Check this hot sauce subscription out and dive into your wild side!

Fuego Box April 2017 Review

Fuego Box April 2017.jpeg
I never was aware of so many different varieties of hot sauces existed until Fuego Box.

Happy days are here again with the arrival of my latest Fuego Box.  This month’s savory trio of spicy heat from the hot sauce subscription brought more unique ways to fire up the tongue with flavor.

If you also love your foods extra hot, then you need to check out Fuego Box because it has the best unusual, small-batch, artisan hot sauces that I have come across.  Trust me, you can’t easily find what this subscription box puts together in your typical grocery store because these come from all over the country. The cost is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  You also get an informational card about the sauces and recommended foods to go along with each sauce.  Furthermore, you can also buy one box at time for just $12.95 with a $5.00 shipping fee.

April brought Maple Oatmeal Stout Craft Beer Hot Sauce from the Butterfly Bakery of Vermont.  This is a medium heat  jalapeno pepper-based sauce that has oatmeal stout, maple syrup along with white vinegar and spices.  For someone that hates to drink beer, I wasn’t sure that I would care for this mildly sweet sauce. However, it was really delicious on my scrambled eggs.  Next, I plan trying some on a veggie burger later today.

Hoff Sauce is a tasty everyday jalapeno with habanerno pepper sauce that has nice nip to it.  This one is quite hot, but won’t burn the inside of your mouth so much that you’ll miss its fantastic flavor.

Finally, I found a yellow colored one with turmeric called No. 23 from Corine’s Cuisine, which was quite different.  This one also has Scotch bonnet peppers, lots of garlic, shallots as well in its savory mix. I sampled this one for the first time on my cheese sandwich and it was quite good.

Honestly, if you love hot sauce, Fuego Box is wonderful with what you can experience.  In fact, this hot sauce subscription makes a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift if that special lady likes to turn up the heat of her food.
