Fuego Box Hot Sauce Subscription Box January 2018 Review

Fuego-Box-January-2018.jpeg
What a delicious way to bring on the heat!

The easiest way to add some flavor excitement to your food is through hot sauces.  With Fuego Box, each month is a tasteful new adventure with three spicy, hot sauces that will change how you think of ordinary hot sauce with what they offer your taste buds.

The cost of this hot sauce subscription box is $29.95 per quarter for three different sauces that includes free USA shipping.  The company also provides an informational card about each of that month’s selections and suggests the best foods to enjoy them with.

January 2018 has three more great sizzling finds starting with Hank’s Heat Hank SauceThis is a medium, savory heat that is quite versatile in its blend of cayenne and habanero peppers, garlic, vinegar, and spices.  Feel free to shake on as much as you like without fearing the intensity of its delicious flames.

The second hot sauce this month is from Clark + Hopkins with their Kerala Pepper Sauce. This is an orange-brown that has curry spices along with habaneros and bird’s eye chili peppers along with kaffir lime leaf for a unique taste experience.  I started enjoying this one for the first time on my scrambled eggs.  It also is going to be tested next on my chicken.

The final offering this month is a jalapeno-based hot sauce of Ghost Pepper Verde from Fuego Spice Co. with their Riza Sauce.  This also is a medium heat that goes wonderfully on whatever you usually add hot sauce to.

Winter is especially a great time to heat up your body, speed up that metabolism and enjoy the delights of hot sauces and Fuego Box.  Check them out because they can help you keep you from the cold!

Hot sauce helps speed up the metabolism to help burn more calories!

A trick that I find helpful to stay warmer when it's cold is to use more hot sauces on my foods and recipes when cooking.  This extra addition of spicy fire always adds a welcome savory nip to boost up flavor.  A Fuego Box hot sauce subscription always keeps my cooking creativity evolving with each new trio of hot sauces that arrive each month.

This month I found Bigfat’s Sea of Green Verde Style Hot Sauce.  This is a versatile, medium heat of a sauce.  It has roasted tomatillos, poblano and habanero peppers enhanced to their delicious potential from garlic, tangy lime juice and cilantro that you can sprinkle freely on a bounty of foods.

El Machete Insurgente has fire-roasted orange habanero peppers, garlic, carrots, onion, and spices to fire up dishes.  I did add some to my bean dip instead of cayenne pepper and it was devilishly good.  Next time, I plan on using some to marinade chicken in.

Red Robot Peachslap is a fruit-inspired hot sauce with peaches to balance out the heat of the habanero peppers.  The result is a very pleasing milder heat with bit of sweetness to it, which I enjoyed this morning on my scrambled eggs.

If you love the taste of hot and spicy or have friends and family that do or are trying to lose weight, then a Fuego Box subscription would make a perfect gift.  For $29.95 per quarter, you get three artisan hot sauces with free USA shipping. You also get an informational card about each sauce and how best to enjoy them.  Check it out!

Here's a tasty mix of spicy, heat!

Some people can’t understand my love of hot sauces that I use almost like they do with salt and pepper.  My feeling is the extra heat and spices intensify the flavor of foods while helping me burn more calories since it speeds up the metabolism.  The way I see it a hot sauce subscription like Fuego Box is a win-win for culinary enjoyment and the figure.

For instance, let me tell you about this November selection.  Hoff’s Southern Stinger is an award winning sauce that has a nice zip from Scorpion chiles with a sweet, bright edge from oranges and carrots.  This was delicious sauce on scrambled eggs.

Born to Hula Harvest creates a new sauce every year featuring a different brand.  This year the company focused on Carribean red peppers along with apple juice, pumpkin and spices of the fall season for a unique flavor twist.  This is a medium sweet hot burn that was very good with fish.

The last one this month was Honey Squash Hot Sauce from Butterfly Bakery of Vermont.  This is medium hot sauce with green jalapenos, butternut squash, honey, and vinegar.  This was delicious on a burger, but I believe would perk up practically any dish that you use hot sauce on.

Fuego Box is great because they bring three artisan hot sauces to your door for just $29.95 per quarter with free USA shipping. You even get an informational card about each sauce and how best to enjoy them.

I dare you to find such unusual hot sauces in your local grocery store because you won’t.  This is the beauty of Fuego Box so check them out!

Fuego-Box-October-2017.jpeg
There is nothing better than hot!

Hot and spicy are two tastes that I never tire of.  My feeling is that duo combination enhances maximum flavor from practically any dish.  For even more enjoyment, I rely on artisan hot sauces from Fuego Box because they are unique blends gathered from across the United States.

The October 2017 selection brought Burns & McCoy Gold 79, Yellowbird Serrano and White Label #1 Hot Sauce to my door.  The cost to subscribe is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  Inside each box, you also get a little background about each sauce and the best ways to enjoy them.

Burns & McCoy Gold 79 is zesty and deep mustard colored hot sauce that has seven pot peppers, caribe peppers, potatoes, squash, and fire roasted yellow bell peppers to balance the burn.  It has a smoothness to the kick that was delicious on my chicken or for wherever you usually pull out your hot sauce.

White Label # 1 Hot Sauce has a nutty, smoky flavor to set off the habanero, onion, garlic, vinegar,  pepper mash, honey, orange juice, and peel.  This is one that has brightness to its fire and is more of a medium heat, perfect for most dishes.  It was especially good on my scrambled eggs this morning.

Yellowbird Serrano is a green colored chili condiment that is great on tacos.  It has carrot, cucumber and lime along with serrano peppers and spices that wake up your taste.

If you’re tired of eating the same dishes and want an easy way to pump up the flavor, my advice is turning to hot sauces for your recipes and dishes like Fuego Box.  Check their website!

Fuego Box July 2017 Review

Fuego Box July 2017.jpeg
This trio can introduce you to new taste experiences!

Some people quiver at the mention of hot sauce, but not yours truly.  With how they enhance flavor, I look forward to each new one that I try like the flaming pleasures that accompanied my latest trio from Fuego Box, the hot sauce subscription.

This month I discovered El Perro Afortunado’s Lucky Dog.  This lively, but moderate sauce has a Mexican beat with fire-roasted tomatoes, paprika, onion, garlic, and cumin among its ingredients.  You can use this easily on practically any dish that you normally reserve for hot sauce without worrying about losing your tongue to any consuming fire.

Jersey Barnfire Garden State Green makes for an interesting heat.  This green-colored sauce has cilantro-lime mixed with tomatillo, green chilies, green peppers, and spices for a delicious twist to eggs, meats, fish, sandwiches, and dips.

LBI Love Potion is a robust, but not a killer hot sauce. This is garlic dominating, habanero pepper-based sauce that doesn’t have as much vinegar as others, which allows the other ingredients of carrots, onions and garlic to reign.  This is a versatile hot sauce, and especially tasty put in a dipping sauce.

If you’re adventurous and seeking extra flavor, I suggest signing up for a Fuego Box.  Their hot sauce subscription box can introduce you to artisan sauces to start you on that enhanced culinary journey.

The cost of this box is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  You also can expect an informational card about the sauces and recommended foods to go along with each sauce. By all means, visit Fuego Box and check them out!

Fuego Hot Sauce Subscription--2017 Screaming Mimi Award Winners Box Review

screaming mimi box.jpeg
There is a lot of combustible flavor excitement in this special collection Fuego Box!

If you are addicted to hot and spicy flavors, now is the time to open your seasoned taste buds to Fuego Box’s Screaming Mimi trio of 2017 hot sauce champions–-that is, if you’re up to the challenge from this hot sauce subscription box.

To start your screaming journey to deliciousness, there is the Dirty Dicks Hot Pepper Sauce to enjoy.  This one was the 2017 Grand Champion from the Screaming Mimi event in NYC Hot Sauce Expo.  The taste of this tropical spicy fire erupts quickly from this artful blend of habanero peppers, fruits and spices and was a perfect compliment to my scrambled eggs this morning. This one is suitable for chicken, sandwiches, burgers or adding to your recipes.

The sauce that won first place in the Jalapeno category was Hellfire Gourmet Green  Hot Sauce.  This used Granny Smith apples, garlic, lime, scallions and spices to bring more to jalapeno peppers and wicked Carolina Reaper peppers.  All I can say is yum!  I sampled some on my burger, but this will be good on a lot of things.  Next, I am going to use some in my salad.

Last, but not least, is the 2017 Hot Sauce Hall of Fame Inductee of Gator Hammock Gator Sauce.  This blasts wicked heat through a secret blend of spices to pack a lot of flavor and yet without an excessive burn that will make you run for a glass of milk.    I consider this sauce versatile to use with eggs, fish, chicken or sandwiches.  It’s just up to you to explore.

The cost for a Fuego Box  is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  You also get an informational card about the sauces and recommended foods to go along with each sauce.

Trust me, you can’t find sauces like this in your typical grocery store because these hot sauces from Fuego Box come from all over the country. Check this hot sauce subscription out and dive into your wild side!

Beauty Box 5 January 2017.jpeg
The Beauty Box 5 theme for January 2017 is Red Carpet Ready.

If you’re like me and love to experiment with all sorts of new beauty products, then a beauty subscription is what you need.  One that I really enjoy is Beauty Box 5 that sends five full and sample sizes each month from makeup, skin and hair care products, nail polish, tools, etc. for $12.00 per month with free United States shipping.

Each assortment always is centered around a theme, making a dive into each box even more fun like the one for this month with Red Carpet Ready beauty products.

Now that I may have gotten you curious about the contents of this month’s box, let me show you what awaited me once I opened that little green box.

Beauty Box 5 January 2017

1.  So Susan Light Diffuser–Full Size---------------------------------------------------$18.00

2.  Pur-Lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk (1 oz. Sample)---------------------$7.20

3.  Novex Bamboo Sprout Leave-In Conditioner (3.88 oz. Sample)---------------$3.70

4.  Maskeraide Spotted Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches (Sample)---------------$3.50

5.  Nanacoco Classic Collection Nail Polish (Full Size)--------------------------------$3.95

                                      Total Approximate Value:  $36.35!

The So Susan Light Diffuser is a new brand to me.  This is a small compact with a deep bronzer shade and champagne illuminator.  This product isn’t heavily pigmented so you do need to keep swiping until you get enough color to show up.

Pur-Lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk uses white tea and soy milk.  This is a water rinsing cleanser that treats even dry skin like mine delicately.

Novex Bamboo Sprout Leave-In Conditioner couldn’t arrive at a better time than what winter weather puts my hair through.  It helps with the shine and provided a softer feel to my suffering hair.

Maskeraide Spotted Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches is a sheet that has 12 clear patches with blemish-fighting ingredients of salicylic acid, volcanic ash and tea tree oil.  I really don’t break up much so this product is going to my neighbor’s teen daughter that could use this more.

The Nanacoco Nail Polish that I got was in a creamy shade called Best of My Love.  This is a gray-blue color with some violet that is quite lovely.  I didn’t try it out yet, but I will soon.

I thought January 2017 was a very decent beauty month.  If you feel the same way, then check Beauty Box 5 out because you’ll love this beauty subscription, too!

This month's Beauty Box 5 theme is Party Perfect!

This month’s Beauty Box 5 brought five full and sample size cosmetics, hair and skin care products meant to get us party perfect from the theme of this month’s assortment.  Judging by what I arrived from the beauty subscription, I think they were on target

Beauty Box 5 costs $12 a month with free shipping.  With a longer commitment, your price can go down further.   If this sounds like a fun way to buy beauty, then wait and let me tell you more.

Beauty Box 5 December 2016

1.  Jelly Pong Pong Liquid Gossamer (Full Size)-------------------------------------$22.99

2.  Neutrogena Rainbath ( 1 oz. Sample)--------------------------------------------------1.00

3. Amlactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion ( 2 oz. Sample)---------------------$2.40

4. Professional Freezing Finish Spray (2 oz. Sample)---------------------------------$1.00

5.  Hikari Lip Gloss (Full Size)----------------------------------------------------------------$13.00

Total Approximate Value: $40.39!

The Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Liquid Gossamer is a gorgeous luminizer with a copper cast to the shimmer.  This product has no mineral oil, phthalates or parabens while being 48% water based to give the complexion a soft gleam of radiance.

I tried the Neutrogena Rainbath Bath Gel and found it has a pleasant scent and does a nice job to moisturize skin while it cleans.

The Amlactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion is heavy duty lubrication.  It goes on slightly sticky but it absorbs well.  You don’t need to use all that much.

As to the Professional Freezing Finish Spray, I thought it gave my hair a firm hold and did dry quickly.

Last of all this month, I got a tube of Hakari gloss in a beautiful red shade called Salsa.  It’s loaded with pigment and not that sticky as some glosses can be. The bright shade is festive for this season.

I thought Beauty Box 5 December 2016 was another wonderful beauty month.  Do check this beauty subscription box’s website out because it is a lot of fun!

Fuego Box July 2016 Review

Even before I knew how wonderful hot peppers are for help with speeding up the body’s metabolism for burning more calories, I adored hot sauces.  Unfortunately, you really can’t get much variety on the shelves of a local grocery store--at least not where I shop.  Thankfully, Fuego Box came along to fill that void for dedicated lovers of the liquid fire like yours truly.

This month is another sizzling delight I am happy to report.  If you want to spice up your life or that of a true connoisseur of the “hot,” then a subscription to Fuego Box is a must. The cost is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  Another option is buying one box at a time for $12.95 with a $5.00 shipping charge.  Each assortment also comes with a descriptive card with ideas for recommended foods or dishes to compliment each sauce.
