How to Multitask Your Beauty While Showering

flowing-showerhead.jpeg
You can still catch up on your beauty and save time in the convenience of your shower.

We all are so busy these days between juggling work and home that it can sometimes limit how much time is devoted to some important weekly beauty tasks.  Instead of falling into this trap, let me suggest a way to multitask those beneficial beauty treatments at the same time while in the shower.

Once I take off all my makeup with an oil cleanser or makeup wipe and step into my shower, I wash my face with my facial soap and pat dry before turning to a mask. After several minutes of letting the warm water soothe and open up the pores, it’s time to apply the facial mask.

Usually, I apply one meant for dry skin.  However, I wanted to use a charcoal mask this time after the holidays and wearing heavier makeup since this variety goes deeper into the pores from its ability to draw out any imbedded grime that may be lingering.  If you happen to suffer from acne or an oily complexion, I suggest trying a charcoal mask for how thoroughly it cleans the impurities away and tightens the pores.

Next, I soaped up the rest of me before shampooing, rinsing and gently patting to dry my hair with a towel.  Once I got that out of the way, I reached for the deep hair conditioner that I brought with me and treated my hair before placing my towel turban fashion.

While giving my conditioner time to work, I brought along another product to accompany me to the shower with my exfoliating scrub such as a salt or sugar scrub.  What I liked about either was how much softer it left the skin after rubbing it all over your body.  It also really does help lessen cellulite when you use your fingers kneading over your bad sections like the hips and thighs when done regularly.

By the time I finish kneading my body, several minutes pass.  This five minutes or so is enough time for my deep conditioner to work before I need to rinse it out.

One tip that I want to share is if you have coarse, thick hair or curly hair with a lot of frizz to it you might not want to rinse that conditioner out all together.  Leave just a little still in to tame the hair more, which I do.

Afterward, all there is left to do is follow up with usual body and facial skin care products.  This method really speeds up the beauty treatments that you just might neglect due to lack of time.

Recipe: You’ll Love My Dinner in a Snap Cheesy-Chicken Casserole Especially When You Need to Free Up Your Day!

Today, I have a fabulous main course recipe with my Dinner in a Snap Cheesy-Chicken Casserole that is delicious and so easy to prepare that you will wonder how such a great dish could also be so simple to make!

All the effort required is just a minimum of chopping before assembling the ingredients and storing in the refrigerator until when you take it out and pop your casserole dish in the oven the next day.

Besides that, this creamy casserole will also save you money because you can throw in leftover chicken, turkey, beef, and even any leftover veggies if you desire to accompany the mushrooms, onion, and some elbow macaroni.

If you want a richer sauce, then substitute the same amount of evaporated milk for the plain milk for a more velvety consistency.

I do hope that you will want to try this casserole because even the most reluctant eaters usually ask for seconds.

Dinner in a Snap Cheesy-Chicken Casserole

1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of cream of chicken soup or cream of celery soup
1 small onion or about ½ cup
Two cups of milk or evaporated milk
8 oz. cups of uncooked elbow macaroni
½ lb. of Velveeta cheese
1 cup of fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup of chopped green pepper
3 cups of diced, cooked chicken, turkey, or beef
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

Once you have everything chopped and clean, you just mix all the ingredients together in your casserole dish, cover, and then store in your refrigerator until needed.

Later, you bake your casserole in a 350-degree oven for about an hour or so, depending on how your oven is regulated.

ENJOY!

Recipe: Significant Snow Is Coming So It's an Ideal Time to Try My Easy Applesauce-Custard Pie!

Today, I have one of the simplest and most incredibly delicious pies that you can ever make. Even if you never baked a pie before, this recipe for my Applesauce-Custard Pie is foolproof especially if you use my oil pie crust! This pie has applesauce kicking up the flavor scale with cinnamon and cloves in an egg base evaporated milk custard for extra velvety creaminess.

Here's something else that you will like to cut down on washing more measuring cups. Don't throw your emptied evaporated milk can away because it is a convenient measure for the water this recipe also needs.

Of course, you can use a frozen pastry shell that you buy. However, I doubt you will want to again once you see how easy and flaky my oil pie crust turns out. You will save money and your health by using oil instead of artery-clogging shortening.

You will be pouring this filling into a raw pastry shell and then baking.  The hardest part of this recipe is the waiting for this scrumptious pie to bake! Trust me, but you know what I mean as the aroma of the applesauce and spices escape from your oven.

My Applesauce-Custard Pie

2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup of sugar
1/2 can of evaporated milk (the 12-oz. size can)
12 oz. of water (use the evaporated milk can to measure)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 oz. of apple sauce

Make or unthaw your favorite pie crust and place it in your greased pie pan.

Pour in your filling mixture and then bake in a 325-degree oven for about 1-1/2 hours, depending on how your oven is regulated.

Test with a slender knife to see if anything sticks to see if it is done.

ENJOY!
