A sure way to give your face an instant lift is with an illuminizer.  A great one to try is Josie Argan Cosmetics Argan Illuminizer because it adds a soft, natural glow besides caring for your complexion with argan and natural grape seed oils.

This is a lovely, champagne-colored illuminizer that is dispensed from a pump.   I experimented with several different ways to use it.

You can apply it after your makeup is on directly to your cheekbones, brow bones, center of your nose, or any other part of your face that could benefit from gentle highlighting.  I liked this method because I had the best control of where I wanted the radiance.  

The next time I tried it, I mixed a pea-size amount with a bit of my liquid foundation. However, having a soft sheen over my entire face was a look that I didn’t care for.  The combination just made me look too shiny. 

I also added a small amount of this illuminizer another time and mixed it with a bit of my day moisturizer.  This method was wonderful because it did a nice job to subtly light up my skin.

Priming first before you put on your foundation can do more for your complexion than you may realize.  Incorporating this product into your beauty routine may require an extra step, but it can minimize your pores and even out your skin tone to create a practically flawless complexion.

Pur Minerals Correcting Primer Dark Spot Corrector that I got to try is a bit different.  If you happen to have some complexion problem that you need extra help with like blotchy skin, freckles, or some darkness under your eyes, age spots, or a discolored mark left behind from a pimple, this is the primer that just may be the one to help you out.

This is a peachy color meant for all skin tones that looks darker until you apply your foundation.  It does lighten and seemed to brighten as well as perfect the complexion in the process.   I thought my dark circles also benefitted because I used less concealer.  Be careful though about getting this primer to close to your eyes.  According to Pur Minerals Questions & Answers section under the product, this primer should not be used on your eyelids so keep that in mind.

Review: Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation (New Formulation)

Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation

Summer is the time I heavily rely on mineral makeup because it is least likely to clog pores when you start sweating from excessive heat.  Though you can use a liquid mineral makeup foundation, I love the ease and convenience of grabbing a compact of the pressed variety for effortless application when on the run to enjoy that sun.  

When I was asked about trying Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Foundation, I was glad to see how that new formulation worked.  Unlike the old version, this foundation now has built-in SPF 15 with skin pampering ingredients such as their special ceretin complex for anti-aging and waltheria extract for brightening skin tone as well.

The color that I picked was Porcelain.  This shade had a bit more pink than the shade in my old compact. The formula, however, is just as incredible.  I got a beautiful light-medium coverage with a matte finish once I took my chisel brush to it. It may look slightly powdery at first but give it a few seconds and this foundation will appear a part of your skin, smoothing out those complexion flaws and pores, practically vanishing them from your face.

As to using this product to conceal my dark allergic shiners, I need heavier coverage from a separate product to handle the amount of black under my eyes. 

This product is cruelty-free and vegan without parabens and glutens.  Yet, it does have bismuth oxychloride, which may cause breakouts in some individuals.  I never experienced any problems or irritation, but it is among the ingredients so be aware.
