PUR Cosmetics Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette Review + Swatches

soiree diaries eyeshadow palette.jpeg
You can do a lot with these 12 shades.

Neutral makeup shades are the easiest to wear.  They never seem to let you down like bolder colors that can show flaws of aging eyes.  For that reason, I always seem to gravitate toward products that can supply that more natural look. When I spied PUR Cosmetics new Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette, I was already smitten at what I saw.

This palette has 12 creamy shades of vegan, gluten and paraben free eye shadows  that blend like a dream in a section of four mattes, satins and shimmers.  The colors are gorgeous, bursting with pigment and wonderfully long-lasting.

PUR Cosmetics Bronze Your Selfie Review + Swatch!

Bronze Your Selfie.jpeg
I love how much you can do with this one liquid bronzer!

This is the time of year when my still pale winter coloring could use a boost.  Therefore, I was glad to find PUR Cosmetics limited edition Bronze Your Selfie show up in a box that PR sent along because it seemed just what I needed to transition into summer.

This is a liquid form of bronzer with gold radiance through its sunny tan color.  It has a shimmer to it, but it’s more subtle and a natural looking sun-kissed hue than an exaggerated, sparkly one.  I also thought it was buildable and easy to blend.

Here I swatched the Bronze Your Selfie with the unblended on the left and blending it on the right.

I especially liked how many different ways that you could use this product to get yourself glowing.  I loved mixing a little of it with foundation for warming my complexion, but also found it just as wonderful when I tested it with my moisturizer.  I also added  some to my body lotion and it rescued my pale legs and arms.

I say if you want an effortless glow whether for the face or body, then PUR’s Bronze Your Selfie Skin-Perfecting Face and Body Liquid Bronzer ($26) is the way to go.  Check it out at the company’s website or Kohl’s while it’s available because it really is one that you’ll love!

PUR Cosmetics Make It Matte Oil Mattifying Blotting Stick Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Make It Matte Oil stick and box.jpeg
If oil is a problem, this stick is a handy helper.

If you read me regularly, then you probably are aware that I have dry skin for the most part.  This is true except for an oily nose, which baffles me since the rest of my T-zone is fine. This shiny nose problem gets worse through the heat of summer.  With that said, I thought PUR’s Make It Matte Oil Mattifying Blotting Stick might be a helpful save from over powdering or using a blotting sheet.

opened Make It Matte stick.jpeg
Here is what the product looks like.

This white blotting stick is what you use instead of your normal mattifying primer and apply to dry skin before makeup.  The product comes in a short, chubby silver tube that is perfect for throwing in your handbag or targeting smaller areas like a nose or running over your T-zone.

When I read the ingredients, I noticed it had one particular ingredient that I knew could help to produce a mattifying effect.  It was silica in the formula.

When I tried it, I was pleased at how well it kept my nose shine free for hours without the need to retouch. I’m glad that I found this product now before broiling summer sets in to make that shine more of an issue.

If you also need to zap up excess oil, PUR Cosmetics Make It Matte Oil Mattifying Blotting Stick ($26) is worth trying.

For a Mistake Proof Sun-Kissed Glow--PUR Marble Powder Bronze Review!

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Marble Powder Bronze.jpeg
If you've been making mistakes buying bronzers, PUR's Marble Powder Bronze is worth looking into.

Bronzers can be just as difficult as foundation for finding your ideal match.  Some shades may look suitable in the compact, but once you start applying they can fool you by being overly heavy on the orange, muddy looking or far too shimmery.  With the new one from PUR Minerals that I sampled lately, you can adjust the depth and color of bronze that you want with their Marble Powder Bronze for a mistake proof bronze look.

The interesting thing about PUR’s Mineral Powders is that each multidimensional compact can be slightly different as far as tone and color, which give you all that more control of  shade and the extent of the glow that you’re seeking.  Instead of one flat color, you can use this one compact to contour and brighten.

The Marble Powder Bronze I received was randomly speckled with browns and pink-beige pigments that once swirled really had a lovely effect.  I pulled out my PUR Blurring Powder Brush for this because it made it easier to target sections of that compact where I needed without overloading the brush for application.

I loved customizing the amount of sun-kissed radiance from this paraben and Bisphenol A (BPA) free bronzing powder.  To me, it saves you making a bad color choice because this one has various shades.  You just need to find the right spots for your perfect glow with a subtle gleam.

Anyone that keeps regretting buying one wrong bronzer after the next should try PUR’s Marble Powder Bronze ($23.50)  because it does make bronzing foolproof!  Check it out.

PUR Afterglow Illuminating Powder Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Afterglow powder.jpeg
You'll love what Afterglow can do for your face!

The easiest way to create the illusion of a beautiful complexion is to direct light on the skin to imitate a natural glow as it streams over the face.  Since I believe your skin can never have enough inner radiance, I was glad to try PUR Minerals Afterglow Illuminating Powder that PR sent along.

This is an ivory-beige toned shimmery powder that has some warm, yellow undertones to the formula that includes shea butter and the company’s anti-aging Ceretin Complex among its ingredients.

Furthermore, no animals were harmed through torturous testing to bring this product to market.  It also is free of parabens and Bisphenol A (BPA).

However, the product does have a lot of soft pearly glow to it, which is beautiful against the skin, but reminds more of a highlighting powder for emphasizing certain places on the face than an illuminator for blurring all over the face to minimize imperfections.

You don’t need to worry about Afterglow disappearing on you through your day.  I had it on from early morning until I took it off before dinner and it still looked just as good as when I first put it on.

This PUR product is great and I do love it, but will be using it solely as a highlighting powder, which is perfect to me.  If you’re hunting for a new product to get that glow to your skin, check out Afterglow Illuminating Powder ($25) at the company’s website!

Pur Minerals Cameo Contour Stick Dual-Ended Foundation (Light) Review + Swatches!

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Pur Minerals Cameo Contour Stick.jpeg
This stick makes it easier to perfect your contouring without wasting time!

Here’s a way to simplify your beauty contouring routine.  What you need is this handy doubled ended foundation stick that I have been using lately from Pur Minerals called their Cameo Contour Stick Dual-Ended Foundation that arrived with some of their other products that PR sent earlier.

Besides the Light shade that I received, four other colors of this stick are available.  One end is a fair to light gently shimmering beige while the other is the deeper contour shade of bronze.  See the above swatches of this stick on my wrist.

When time matters and you’re running late, you will especially appreciate how easily this creamy, blendable foundation stick that starts out feeling like a cream and transforms into a powder solves your contouring problem just by turning it upside down.

For my fair to light warm skin tone, the two colors in this Light stick were realistic shades to highlight and contour the face with.  Sometimes, contouring sets can be overly brown, white or sparkly, but this was not the case with the Cameo Contour Stick Dual-Ended Foundation ($39.50).  You’ll find this convenient stick at Pur Minerals so be sure to check it out!

Review: Pur Minerals Love Your Selfie Palette

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
holding Pur Minerals Love Your Selfie Palette.jpeg
Think of all the fun beauty that you can have exploring Pur Minerals Love Your Selfie palette.

Get ready to get gorgeous or solve your gift buying dilemma for any beauty loving woman this holiday season with one fantastic palette that I have been loving from Pur Minerals.  The Love Your Selfie palette ($39) is perfect to bring out natural beauty with eight eye shadows, bronzer, blush, illuminating powder, mascara, and lip gloss in one handy set that also travels well!

With colors in this sleek compact of fabulously pigmented shades, you can create a variety of beautiful, fresh looks that can take you from day to night.  You can mix these striking eye shadow colors or simply wet to intensify the depth of the shade dramatically.

Look how easily you will be able to break out of your beauty rut with the color power that is included in this palette.  Imagine all you will be able to do with the following eight shades of eye shadow:
--Exposure (vanilla matte)
--Fade (sandy peachy brown matte)
--Filter (rose-gold shimmer)
--Photobomb (dark plum shimmer with black flecks)
--Flash (champagne shimmer)
--Capture (taupe matte)
--Sepia (milk chocolate matte)
--Closeup (muted black matte) (.04 oz each)

These shadows blend like a dream and do wear well, but extending them for all the hours of late-night holiday partying, I suggest priming them first.  I always just like to use a primer anyway as a precaution.

You also get a tube of Big Look Mascara (.12 oz).  If you like an extra large wand, then you will be one happy lady with this one.  The formula coats well, but is a bit thinner consistency than some others.  This product didn’t flake off, smudge or make my lashes feel brittle–-just more noticeable!

For the lips, you get a (.14 oz.) tube of Chateau Kisses Lip-Plumping Lip Gloss, which cradle lips in comforting moisture as well as lovely color.  This particular shade included is Exposed (pink nude), a wonderful degree of natural lip color that didn’t wash my fair complexion out.

All of this beauty and yet there is still more.  The products included for the face are:
–-Mineral Glow Bronzer (.08 oz.)
–-Afterglow Illuminating Powder (.08 oz.)
–-Savvy Blush (.08 oz.)

Being as fair as I am can sometimes cause a problem finding the right bronzer. On occasion, they can be too dark, orange or brown.  They also can have too much glitter.  Yet, this Mineral Glow Bronzer gave me just enough realistic, subtle color without the shimmer not to overwhelm my complexion.

The Afterglow Illuminating Powder provided a lovely, delicate glow of light wherever I placed it from my cheekbones, the forehead, the nose, etc.  You need not worry about large specks of glitter in this powder.

The Savvy Blush is one PR also sent me last year that I reviewed.  You can read more about this cool-toned mauve shade and see swatches here.  It is slightly dark, but I found some tricks around that by dipping my brush in some powder afterwards helps or just dusting less pigment can correct it.  This blush does not cake and wears well for hours.

I promise that you too will be smitten with the Love Your Selfie palette from Pur Minerals once you get it in your hands.  However, if you are buying for some holiday gifts then do pick up one for yourself because you’ll probably lose your willpower and end us using it for yourself anyway.  Check it out!

Review + Swatches: Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Blush Tint and Brush Duo Stains (Rose, Peach Bellini)

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Stain (rose).jpeg
Here is how Rose appears in Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Stains.

I have become quite fond of blush sticks lately. They are wonderful for creating an instant healthy, but more suitably moist glow for dry skin like mine. Since I also had fallen in love with Pur Minerals Chateau Lip Gloss, I was eager to try their new Chateau Cheek Blush Tints and Brush Duo Stains that came out earlier this Summer 2015 because mineral cosmetics also happen to be a great choice for healthier ingredients that can be absorbed into the skin. PR was kind enough to send along the Rose and Peach Bellini of the four shades in the line for this review.

Besides enriching the skin with antioxidant-rich wine extracts that can help with anti-aging, this gel-like formula stick is unique in another way.  It sports a brush at one end of its blush stick!

When I first swatched the two shades on my arm, I could see the appealing pink beauty of the Rose shade, gleaming in the light.  However, the Peach Bellini went on so sheer next to it that I could hardly detect that pale orange color.  The photograph looked worse.

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Stain (peach bellini).jpeg
Look at Peach Bellini in Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Stains.

I didn’t know how I would get photographs of such transparent color, if this was the best I could get out of these sticks.  Then, I decided to try them directly on my face to see if that would make any difference.

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Stains showing the brush.jpeg
Here is the Peach Bellini stick with the brush.
Lo and behold, the rose color appeared even more a cool pink that gave my cheeks such dewy freshness, blooming with a natural gleaming pink softness.  The Peach Bellini did not disappoint in delivering an infusion of a lively orange color that when blended transformed into a softer natural peach.

The easiest way to deepen the color is layering more on.  I tried using the brush for blending and it works well for this purpose.  Nonetheless, there is a kink though to this design when it comes to the cap, which makes it a small feat recapping it without harming the bristles in the process.  I wouldn’t be all that concerned about this cap problem because you will probably use this blush stick before the brush will be too hard to work with anyway.

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Stain swatches.jpeg
The Rose is swatched under my thumb and the Peach Bellini is closest to my little finger.

My favorite shade was the Rose with my fair complexion.  The Peach Bellini was beautiful, but had bit more yellow to the peach that for someone with a warm pale skin tone would find brought out more sallowness.

Here's another photo of the two shades in the light.  See how both the Rose and Peach Bellini gleam.

Have you tried any of these new Pur Minerals Chateau Cheek Blush Tint and Brush Duo Stains yet yourself?  They retail for $26.  Check them out the company’s website or Kohls because they are wonderful additions to your makeup bag!

Pur Minerals Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer Pen (Light) Review + SWATCHES!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Pur Minerals Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer Pen.jpeg
Pur Minerals Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer Pen (Light)

One cosmetic that I find indispensable is concealer, especially if you have year round allergies as I do. Therefore, I am always interested in testing new ones to see if they fare better for my darkness problem than their processors.  This time I got to put Pur Minerals Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer Pen (Light) to the test.

This product is a pushup pen that not only covers and brightens with its diamond complex, but also cares for the skin with anti-aging ingredients found in ceretin complex.

What I found was great was that it went on smooth, did an excellent job of hiding the darkness, and didn’t settle into fine lines under eyes as some others do over time.  You can really wear this products for hours without worrying about creasing.

The only thing that disappointed me was how dark Pur Minerals made their lightest shade.  Their Light was entirely too deep beige for someone like me that is fair to light.  I have used other concealer shades labeled Light without any problem.  This one, however, was more on the order of a medium shade to me.

Pur Minerals Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer Pen (Light) swatch.jpeg
Here is a swatch of Pur Minerals Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer in Light.

My only wish is that Pur Minerals adjust the color or simply add a Fair color for those of us that are paler.

The Pur Minerals Disappearing Ink 4-in-1 Concealer Pen retails for $23 at their website. You can also stop at Kohl’s and check the colors in person.

Pur Minerals Soul Mattes Eye Shadow Palette of Rosy Neutrals Is One to Check Out! (Review)

Pur Minerals Soul Mattes Eye Shadow Palette of Rosy Neutrals.jpeg
Pur Minerals Soul Mattes Eye Shadow Palette of Rosy Neutrals

Pur Minerals came out with a beautiful set of eight rosy toned neutral eye shadows in their Soul Mattes Shadow Palette.  These are Fall/Winter shades that would look good on any complexion with how amazingly that influx of pink perks up duller neutrals to make eyes more captivating.

The shadows are well protected in a sturdy metal container with a snap closure. Inside, you find a great full brush and a mirror to work as you apply.

The texture was quite smooth and blended wonderfully when I experimented with these shadows.  Most I found were deliciously sheer except for two, Alter Ego (a red-plum) and Better Half (raspberry), which lavished the eyes with some rich, deeper color.

As to the eight colors, Sweetheart is (pale pink); Companion (vanilla); Adore (light warm brown with plum or puce as Pur Minerals describes this shade);  Better Half (raspberry); Alter Ago (a red plum); Sidekick (mocha); BFF (cinnamon), and Confidante (Tea Rose, which to me looks like pale beige-pink).

This palette is so versatile and one that won’t be left in your cosmetic bag because a few of the shades don’t look good on you.  You will get a lot of use out it from wearing everyday to work to dressing up for the holidays with how these colors compliment each other.

Take it from me, stop at Pur Minerals and pick a Soul Mattes Eye Shadow Palette ($32) because you will do yourself a favor for the way these colors can open up your eyes.

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blush (Kinky and Savvy) Review + SWATCHES!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blush (Kinky and Savvy).jpeg
Kinky is on the left and  the more matte shade of Savvy is on the right.

Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blush offers a wonderful alternative to providing natural glowing mineral color that is packed with anti-aging benefits derived from grapes
and resveratrol. This is a caring blush manufactured without parabens, glutens, or any testing on animals to make it even more beautiful.

I received two of the four shades in the pressed powder blush form with Kinky (a gorgeous brighter pink with gleams of gold that burst to life when it touched my fair,  warm complexion) and Savvy (a cooler toned mauve color that was a bit darker and more subdued in the radiance department for my skin ).

Modeling Pur Minerals Chateau Cheeks Blushes.jpeg
Closest to my wrist is Kinky then  the deeper toned, Savvy.

These blushes don’t cake and do really last quite long.  I do want to try the cream version sometime and compare which formula I like better.  Have you tried these blushes yet?

Find the Chateau Cheeks Blush line ($18) at Pur Minerals. Do check them out!

Review: Pur Minerals Correcting Primer Dark Spot Corrector

Pur Minerals Correcting Primer Dark Spot Corrector.jpeg
Pur Minerals Correcting Primer Dark Spot Corrector

Priming first before you put on your foundation can do more for your complexion than you may realize.  Incorporating this product into your beauty routine may require an extra step, but it can minimize your pores and even out your skin tone to create a practically flawless complexion.

Pur Minerals Correcting Primer Dark Spot Corrector that I got to try is a bit different.  If you happen to have some complexion problem that you need extra help with like blotchy skin, freckles, or some darkness under your eyes, age spots, or a discolored mark left behind from a pimple, this is the primer that just may be the one to help you out.

This is a peachy color meant for all skin tones that looks darker until you apply your foundation.  It does lighten and seemed to brighten as well as perfect the complexion in the process.   I thought my dark circles also benefitted because I used less concealer.  Be careful though about getting this primer to close to your eyes.  According to Pur Minerals Questions & Answers section under the product, this primer should not be used on your eyelids so keep that in mind.

I really liked primer for that bit of extra help it gave me.  Have you tried Pur Minerals Correcting Primer Dark Spot Corrector ($31) yet?  Check it out.

Review + SWATCHES--Pür Minerals NEW Jupiter Ascending Palette With Lip Gloss and Eye Liner ($124 value)

Jupiter Ascending Palette

Take your beauty beyond the stars with exciting new possibilities with Pür Minerals new limited edition Jupiter Ascending Palette ($29), inspired by the upcoming sci-fi movie with Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum. With luminous shimmer and creamy matte shades you’ll look good enough to rule the universe as you recreate Jupiter Jones’ signature out-of-this world look for unbeatable sexy eyes and lips with these six eye shadows, lip gloss, and liquid eye liner in this collection.

The six eye shadow colors are Destiny (cream with just a trace of pale pink), Night Sky (cool gray-black with a shimmer), Jupiter (rosy plum with a shimmer), Caine (golden brown mocha with a shimmer), Majesty (cool brown taupe), and Cosmo (iridescent champagne-white).

Swatches of Jupiter Ascending Palette.jpeg
Starting from my wrist and going down my arm is Destiny, Night Sky, Jupiter, Caine, Majesty and ending with Cosmo.

I liked how effortlessly the shadows blended together when I began expressing myself with those tantalizing colors, which were wonderful for both day and night time.  The silky formula didn’t look powdery either or fade away.  This shadow also wore well through the day without problems just as the Liquid Precision Eye Liner in Outer Space did.

If you’re not an expert with liquid liner, try dotting the product along your lid in tiny dashes for an easier application.  By the time you finish, you will have smoldering dark eyes that are just as dramatic, depending on how much liner you lay down.

To complete your journey, you will love Light-Up Lip Gloss in Galaxy, a gleaming light pink. Pür Minerals makes a great lip gloss that tastes and look fantastic while never being sticky, which is quite impressive in a world of glosses.

The best part about this palette is all you can do with it without going over the top or spending a fortune to create so many different looks from this one kit.  Do look into the Jupiter Ascending Palette at Pür Minerals while it is still available because it can help you dazzle this summer.

bossy lip gloss.jpeg
This is Bossy.

Tempting lips was never easier once you try the new Chateau Kisses Plumping Lip Glosses from Pür MineralsI was sent Bossy and Scandalous for this review and giveaway.

What's unique about this line of eight striking mineral color shades is the formula, which has beneficial resveratrol that is derived from Bordeaux wine.  As a result, lips get rich definition and shine with a yummy cupcake-like smell!

Bossy is a medium berry-brown with gold pearl that looks natural, only expertly polished to be flirty.

Scandalous is just as enticing.  This is a sheer berry red with gold pearl that looks naturally flushed with mimicking ripe berries showing through with a bit of sunny highlight.

scandalous lip gloss.jpeg
Here is Scandalous.
Though I can’t say that I noticed all that much of a plumping effect, there was so much to love about these lip glosses. Besides that delightful cake-batter aroma and the coveted multiple of other gorgeous, shiny colors, they are not sticky in the least.

modeling-bossy-lip- gloss.jpeg
This is Bossy, a great neutral!   It also happens to be my favorite of the two.

modeling-scandalous-lip-gloss.jpeg
This is Scandalous.  You'll notice more pink-berry than red.

Also worthy of mention is the fact that they hydrate and feel wonderful against your lips for hours.  Mine stayed put for about four hours when I initially applied it until I dined.

Furthermore, you don’t have to worry about the color fading into your lips or ending on your teeth.

If you haven’t gotten around to trying  Pür Minerals Chateau Kisses Plumping Lip Glosses ($18), then you should check these out.

Thanks to Pür Minerals, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the United States win both Pür Minerals Chateau Kisses Plumping Lip Glosses in Bossy and Scandalous ($36 value)!
