PUR Afterglow Illuminating Powder Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Afterglow powder.jpeg
You'll love what Afterglow can do for your face!

The easiest way to create the illusion of a beautiful complexion is to direct light on the skin to imitate a natural glow as it streams over the face.  Since I believe your skin can never have enough inner radiance, I was glad to try PUR Minerals Afterglow Illuminating Powder that PR sent along.

This is an ivory-beige toned shimmery powder that has some warm, yellow undertones to the formula that includes shea butter and the company’s anti-aging Ceretin Complex among its ingredients.

Furthermore, no animals were harmed through torturous testing to bring this product to market.  It also is free of parabens and Bisphenol A (BPA).

However, the product does have a lot of soft pearly glow to it, which is beautiful against the skin, but reminds more of a highlighting powder for emphasizing certain places on the face than an illuminator for blurring all over the face to minimize imperfections.

You don’t need to worry about Afterglow disappearing on you through your day.  I had it on from early morning until I took it off before dinner and it still looked just as good as when I first put it on.

This PUR product is great and I do love it, but will be using it solely as a highlighting powder, which is perfect to me.  If you’re hunting for a new product to get that glow to your skin, check out Afterglow Illuminating Powder ($25) at the company’s website!

Mally Beauty Glowing Goddess Luminizer and Stippling Brush Review–For Enviable Skin That You’ll Love!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Luminizer.jpeg
This luminizer helps skin to appear naturally fresh and lit from within.
If you want a secret trick product that can help brighten to make your complexion look younger, it is highlighter to lift and wake up certain sections of the face.  One that I think is a great find is Mally Beauty’s Glowing Goddess Luminizer that I have been obsessed with lately for how naturally it can make light play off the skin.

This Glowing Goddess Luminizer ($29) is a lightweight powder complete with vitamins and antioxidants that gives the skin delicate sheen, not overloading it with obvious chunks of glitter. As a result, I thought my complexion looked fresh and alive like it sprang from within judging by that dewy finish this highlighter was capable of.  The color is universal, basically a nearly transparent ray of golden light that any skin tone can benefit from for working its magic.

Mehron Precious Gem Powders

With all the holiday partying that is in your near future, you might want to add more sparkle and shine to your normal makeup, fitting this festive season.  Let me show you some quick ways from Mehron, a long-established brand known for their theatrical makeup and beauty products for movies and fashion, because when it comes to beautiful effects their Precious Gem Powders can be the solution for providing a luminescent jewel-like luster to wherever area you want!

These are highly pigmented, loose glowing powders that come in a shaker jar. I received three from the line in Black Onyx (smoky deep gray), Garnet (rusty-rose) and Topaz (golden glow).

From left to right is  Black Onyx, Garnet with Topaz on the right.

These sparkling powders have a fine, silky consistency and blend well.  This trio did create a pretty eye, but it also was fun to play with the Garnet and Topaz on my cheeks.  However, if you do prefer to use these powders just on your eyes, then do prime your lids first to extend the wear.

Do visit the Mehron website and check their Precious Gem Powders line out.

Review + Swatches: Take a Walk on the Wild Side With Touch in SOL Eye and Lip Products for Beautiful Definition!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Touch in SOL Style Neon Galactic Girl Eyeliner.jpeg
Touch in SOL's Galactic Girl was my favorite bright shade.  The violet with brown really rocked the color in a sensational way.

Giving eyes and lips some dazzling glamour is easy when you find the right cosmetics to help with the task. With the products that I was sent from Korean beauty brand, Touch in SOL, I discovered how to give my features an exciting change through neon color and vivid definition.

Before I tried these wild colors on, I was a bit hesitant about Touch in SOL’s new Style Neon Super Proof Gel Eyeliners ($16) for their unconventional effect.  However, the fun was what came next once I started playing with these creamy, well-pigmented waterproof liners and experimenting with how to turn up the wattage of my eyes by combining colors or eye shadow for reinventing new looks.

I found laying down a bold bright line as I did with their riveting violet Galatic Girl played up the color of my brown eyes even more than I expected.  You might say it brought them into beautiful focus.

The Astral Ice, an electric blue color, paired with shimmering champagne and bronze shadow gave my eyes an edgy update.
Touch in SOL Style Neon Astral Ice Eyeliner.jpeg
Astral Ice is not for the shy.  This lively liner is meant to be noticed.

Not to be outdone was the way my eyes looked once I tried on Eclectic Electric, the teal pencil, which by the time I finished my makeup seemed to make my eyes look huge with what the brilliance of that color did to resize my eyes.
Touch in SOL Style Neon Eclectic Electric Eyeliner.jpeg
Eclectic Electric is bold fun.  Wearing this liner brings out your playful, daring side.

Lights Out was a rich matte black that also applied effortlessly for a pencil due to its beneficial oils such as argan, apricot, calendula, jojoba seed, olive, and rose.  One other color is available in this line called Cosmic Carrot, a bright orange, but I did not get that one to test.
Touch in SOL Style Neon Lights Out Eyeliner.jpeg
Lights Out is classic, rich black that blends as easily as it glides on.

You should see the extra impact that is possible once you retrace over that dark black with one of these bright neon pencils alongside. The size of my eyes seemed to take on a new proportion with how that bit of wild color only brought more attention to the area.
Touch in SOL Style Neon Eyeliner & One Second Lip Crayon swatches.jpeg
For your viewing pleasure, I swatched the shades for you.  Starting on the left is  Red Chili One Second Vivid Lip Crayon followed by Lights Out, Eclectic Electric, Galactic Girl, and ending with Astral Ice Style Neon Super Proof Gel Eyeliners on the right.

These pencils stay put, despite rubbing your eyes or when it comes to taking them off.  You will need your eye makeup remover to get them to budge.  Soap and water or a rinseable cleanser just will not cut it.

I also was sent one of the Light Bright Brow Spot Highlighter ($21) pens for accentuating the brow area or other facial highlighting in #001 For Your Eyes Only, a matte pink.  This is one of those sponge-tipped pens that you twist to release the liquid that later turns into powder form.  The formula has argan, olive, and jojoba seed oils, which makes for smooth gliding.  As to shades, there are three other shades ranging from subtle in how it catches the light to full shimmer that I would have preferred for any highlighting.

The eye product that totally won my heart was Touch in SOL’s Stretchex Stretch Lash Effect Mascara ($22).  The formula is gentle, lightweight and amazing with how its air polymer powder manages to find and wrap around each lash to build them up without clumping or stiffness just by working that wonderful curved brush.  My lashes looked longer from its silk proteins, more lush, blacker, and even had some additional curl to them once I finished after just one coat.  Even after rubbing my eyes, I am happy to say no flaking or smudging.
Touch in SOL Stretchex Mascara.jpeg
Stretchex really lengthens and adds ample volume!

The last product in my box was a One Second Vivid Lip Crayon ($16).  The one that I got was Hot Chili (bright red-orange), a highly-pigmented color that has a surprising amount of moisture for a satin matte finish crayon thanks to its phyto seed oil complex. There are three other shades in this line from Tulip Pink, Wild Tangerine to Yellow Bird.

This was my first time using any products from Touch in SOL, but now I am hooked after this experience.  I plan on looking into the All in One Beauty Aid Cream next with the cold weather inching closer.  Have you tried this beauty brand yet?  Do check their products out, especially that Stretchex Mascara because I promise that you’ll love Touch in SOL!

Review: Christopher Drummond Beauty's Saude Pele Radiance Booster--The One Cosmetic You Need Now

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Christopher Drummond Beauty's Saude Pele Radiance Booster.jpeg
Christopher Drummond Beauty's Saude Pele Radiance Booster

Christopher Drummond Beauty takes traditional mineral makeup to extraordinary heights with their artisan line of organic-based natural products created by celebrity makeup artist, Christopher Drummond.  Recently, I received their Saude Pele Radiance Booster to review and was amazed at how this formula can coax a face to life with such a natural looking radiance that others might be hard pressed to believe it was brushed on!

Unlike a typical highlighting product, the Saude Pele Radiance Booster's ultra-fine, creamy powder can conform to your face like a second skin for how authentic its light, shimmery glow appeared.  The pale beige color with a slight yellow cast to it left my complexion with such a lovely, dewy luster that felt so lightweight as much as its finish was soft and delicate.  This powder is suitable for all skin tones in one shade!

My skin wasn't bogged down with excess powder, glitter, or likely irritating substances just healthy components like botanical extracts such as acai, soy isoflavones, boswellia serratra extracts, essential oils, cocoa butter, and mineral zinc oxide for sun protection and healing besides other skin-loving ingredients to help it thrive.

Wherever your face could do with a healthy boost is the right spot for Saude Pele Radiance Booster.  I liked the effect over my foundation all over to gently chase away any dullness.  Then again, I could also use this powder across cheekbones, brow, and even the cleft in my chin on those days I might not need so much help.  Dusting a bit over the décolleté to draw attention to a low neckline is another interesting possibility of how I might be using this product later on.

For further makeup inspiration, the company has a video on the product.

Saude Pele Radiance Booster held up without settling into lines or fading as long as I wore it through the day.  It didn't cause my sensitive complexion any redness or breaking out problems afterwards either.

The product also comes with its own Airblender brush, a separate travel container with adjustable sifter, and a spatula for transferring the powder from the larger size.  It retails at $85 for the full size (0.28 oz.) or $70 for the refill.

With the kind of awesome natural glow you can expect, I do recommend visiting Christopher Drummond Beauty and picking up this product for yourself.

Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo Compact With Brush (Effortless Peach) Review + ($45) Giveaway!--Ends October 24, 2013

Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo Compact With Brush

True radiance is healthy color along with a pure glow when it comes to finding an ideal blush.  Yet, what if I told you that I discovered one that does those things and also gives your face a luminous, airbrush perfect type of finish?  This is my experience with Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo that I had the chance to review.

My admiration for this compact began upon seeing the gorgeous warm shade of this peach blush and that pearly champagne color of the highlighter.  Soon though that feeling deepened once I dabbed my finger to test what the texture of the powder was like.  I was falling in love already because it possessed a wonderful silkiness that clung like a second skin to that finger.

My love affair with Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo quickly heated up.  I took that double-sided brush that comes with this compact and swirled the lighter end into the highlight shade.  I swept some over my eyelids first and then made a path in a semicircle to my cheekbones.  This trick lifts your cheekbones to new heights.

The ground was set and I was already loving what this compact did so far.  When I switched ends and dusted on a bit of that peach to the apples of my cheeks, I fell further in love.   This well-pigmented blush looked like that natural peach surfaced from within me instead of from a mere cosmetic.

swatch-of-peach-glow.jpeg
You won't be able to fully appreciate the peach glow  only the color  in this photo unlike the next picture.

modeling-highlight.jpeg
In this spookier photo that looks like my severed arm, I wanted you to see how exquisitely this duo illuminates.  Notice how the peach also beams  brilliantly with gold radiating throughout.

I thought this blush wore pretty well.  I had it on in the morning and it was still lovely through the afternoon.  When I wore it the next day and put a primer on, I had that beautiful glow lasting longer into the early evening before I took it off.

Instead of buying a separate blush and highlighter, Mally Beauty's Effortless Airbrush Highlighter & Blush Duo is an excellent multi-tasking compact that can't be beat for convenience and what you can do with it.

It is available for $45 in the Effortless Peach shown or Easy Pink at Mally Beauty.  Trust me, you are going to want that extra glow for the slew of holiday parties that are coming up!

What a Way to Play Up Cheeks--Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch (Radiant Rose, Peach Glow) Review--Photos + SWATCHES!

Disclaimer:  This post is based on a free product provided by a company as a press sample so that I may offer my own  opinion, which may be the same or differ from yours.
Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch (Radiant Rose, Peach Glow).jpeg
Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch (Radiant Rose, Peach Glow)

Recently, Rimmel London came out with their Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch line of four highlighters.  What you can expect from these 14 ml tubes is creamy, blendable perfection for playing up your cheeks or whatever feature you want to focus eyes on.

The color pay off judging by the two I reviewed is quite pigmented with a beautiful, soft shimmer to them.  Though this product has sparkle to it, I don't think you would mind.  This is tiny glitter immersed in its mousse-like formula instead of big noticeable flecks.  The effect is complimentary and a very wearable, more natural type of iridescent glow.

002 Radiant Rose is lovely pink, almost bubble-gum color.  003 Peach Glow is closer in color to soft apricot.

Closest to my wrist is 002 Radiant Rose then 003 Peach Glow.

I applied this product after my foundation and worked it in.  Though this line is marketed as mere highlighters, I found these products on my light skin could pass for blush. Those ladies with medium to darker complexions probably would not find this true, but I think fair to light-skinned women would agree with me. If I had wanted to use this more as a highlighter, If found a bit mixed with foundation first achieved that sheerer radiance.

As to performance, I liked how many hours I had this highlighter on without fading, smudging, or changing colors on me.  With all this going for Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch, it is hard to believe these little Rimmel London tubes retail for about six-dollars each.  I recommend checking these out when you next head to the drug store!
