Tula day & night cream.jpeg
Regardless of complexion type, this cream won't weight your skin down.

I’m hardly a raving beauty, but my complexion is something that I do get compliments over.  Yes, it’s true that genetics does play a part, but that's not all of it.  Another reason I have beautiful skin is that I don’t neglect it. I never wear my makeup to bed despite how tired I may be or skip nourishing it with quality skin care products such as one I tried lately from Tula with their Hydrating Day & Night Cream.

This is a rich, silky feeling cream that has a lovely feel and plenty of excellent ingredients to keep a complexion thriving.  For one, it has rice nutripeptides and vitamin A for cell renewal and collagen synthesis. It also has protective antioxidants like vitamin E and camelina sativa seed oil to help with anti-aging and environmental damage to name just a few of the ingredients.  What else makes it stand out is the fact that this formula has probiotic technology to guard against bacteria and balance the skin’s pH levels.

Just as promising to me was that this product was free of sulfates, parabens, propylene glycol, phthalates, petrolatum, and mineral oil that could possibly jeopardize health.

As to the product, I loved how one jar could be both day and night cream.  It absorbed easily without making my skin feel irritated or burdened with grease or any sticky residue since when it sinks in it almost feels more like a gel than a typical cream.

My dry complexion just felt wonderfully moisturized and so soft while making little lines look less visible.  I only started using this for about two weeks now, but I got to tell you my skin is already brighter and on its way to looking even better.

If you haven’t tried Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream ($52), I do think this formula would be great for any complexion.  Check it out because I’m confident that you’ll love it too!

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer With Calming Green Tea Oil Review

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer.jpeg
This award-winning product does not disappoint!
If you are hoping to seal in moisture for maximum body lubrication, I tried a new body moisturizer from Jergens that gave my skin the perfect finishing touch for hydrating after my shower with their Wet Skin Moisturizer With Calming Green Tea Oil.  This product won the breakthrough award from Allure Magazine in 2015 and is worth your attention for several reasons.

First of all, you don’t need to use very much once you apply to damp skin.  Start with about a dime size per arm and use a little bit more for rubbing over legs and the rest of you is enough for making the skin feel silky.

The Wet Skin Moisturizer didn’t make me feel greasy or sticky even later through my day.  This is important to me, especially in this hot weather.

The fragrance of Calming Green Tea Oil was a fresh, light scent that also was pleasant for summer without overpowering the senses.

Finally, you got to appreciate the reasonable price.  Depending on where you shop, you can expect to pay around $6.99 for a generous 10 fl. oz. bottle.  You can’t beat all those positive points.  I say look for Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer With Calming Green Tea Oil or the other varieties because it performs!

Review: Pur Minerals Love Your Selfie Palette

holding Pur Minerals Love Your Selfie Palette.jpeg
Think of all the fun beauty that you can have exploring Pur Minerals Love Your Selfie palette.

Get ready to get gorgeous or solve your gift buying dilemma for any beauty loving woman this holiday season with one fantastic palette that I have been loving from Pur Minerals.  The Love Your Selfie palette ($39) is perfect to bring out natural beauty with eight eye shadows, bronzer, blush, illuminating powder, mascara, and lip gloss in one handy set that also travels well!

With colors in this sleek compact of fabulously pigmented shades, you can create a variety of beautiful, fresh looks that can take you from day to night.  You can mix these striking eye shadow colors or simply wet to intensify the depth of the shade dramatically.

Look how easily you will be able to break out of your beauty rut with the color power that is included in this palette.  Imagine all you will be able to do with the following eight shades of eye shadow:
--Exposure (vanilla matte)
--Fade (sandy peachy brown matte)
--Filter (rose-gold shimmer)
--Photobomb (dark plum shimmer with black flecks)
--Flash (champagne shimmer)
--Capture (taupe matte)
--Sepia (milk chocolate matte)
--Closeup (muted black matte) (.04 oz each)

These shadows blend like a dream and do wear well, but extending them for all the hours of late-night holiday partying, I suggest priming them first.  I always just like to use a primer anyway as a precaution.

You also get a tube of Big Look Mascara (.12 oz).  If you like an extra large wand, then you will be one happy lady with this one.  The formula coats well, but is a bit thinner consistency than some others.  This product didn’t flake off, smudge or make my lashes feel brittle–-just more noticeable!

For the lips, you get a (.14 oz.) tube of Chateau Kisses Lip-Plumping Lip Gloss, which cradle lips in comforting moisture as well as lovely color.  This particular shade included is Exposed (pink nude), a wonderful degree of natural lip color that didn’t wash my fair complexion out.

All of this beauty and yet there is still more.  The products included for the face are:
–-Mineral Glow Bronzer (.08 oz.)
–-Afterglow Illuminating Powder (.08 oz.)
–-Savvy Blush (.08 oz.)

Being as fair as I am can sometimes cause a problem finding the right bronzer. On occasion, they can be too dark, orange or brown.  They also can have too much glitter.  Yet, this Mineral Glow Bronzer gave me just enough realistic, subtle color without the shimmer not to overwhelm my complexion.

The Afterglow Illuminating Powder provided a lovely, delicate glow of light wherever I placed it from my cheekbones, the forehead, the nose, etc.  You need not worry about large specks of glitter in this powder.

The Savvy Blush is one PR also sent me last year that I reviewed.  You can read more about this cool-toned mauve shade and see swatches here.  It is slightly dark, but I found some tricks around that by dipping my brush in some powder afterwards helps or just dusting less pigment can correct it.  This blush does not cake and wears well for hours.

I promise that you too will be smitten with the Love Your Selfie palette from Pur Minerals once you get it in your hands.  However, if you are buying for some holiday gifts then do pick up one for yourself because you’ll probably lose your willpower and end us using it for yourself anyway.  Check it out!

Review + Swatches: Sally Hansen’s Spring/Summer 2015 Rodarte Nails to Keep Summer Going As Long As Possible!

Here is  Sally Hansen's #843 Pink Shell from the 2015 Rodarte Nails Collection.

The Spring/Summer 2015 Rodarte nail shades from Sally Hansen are like chic accessories for your hands. The three Salon Manicure colors that I tried are absolutely gorgeous additions for nails in the way they style your hands with refinement and flare.

Of this company’s nail polishes, I think the Salon Manicure line is one of the best for a variety of reasons.  I love how this formula is free of formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin and camphor to better preserve health.  Another fabulous plus for this line is the big brush for easier maneuvering and how many days you can get without chipping before needing to remove this polish.  I get about a week, which is impressive considering there is housework involved that always seems to help to shorten the length of my nail polishes.

How do you like #843 Pink Shell?

If you want some great, easy to wear neutral shades that are stunning, I suggest you hurry to your drugstore or wherever you shop for Sally Hansen products and pick up #841 Pink Sand (light pink-toned beige without any shimmer) and #843 Pink Shell (pink-beige with shimmering luster like a sea shell) before these limited shades vanish.

Review: Christie Brinkley’s Close Up Instant Wrinkle Reducer and Treatment Does It Really Work Or Not?

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Christie Brinkley Close Up Instant Wrinkle Reducer and Treatment.jpeg
Is Christie Brinkley's Close Up Instant Wrinkle Reducer and Treatment  up to the wrinkle diminishing challenge or not?

I knew former superstar model, Christie Brinkley was making wigs, but I did not know she was also getting into beauty products until iFabbo emailed about this product.  Looking at her still gorgeous face at 61, you wonder if she has, indeed, discovered the foundation of youth. Could it be that her new beauty product is her secret?  This was all I needed to want to test it out.

Close Up Instant Wrinkle Reducer and Treatment is intended to tighten and smooth problem areas that have lines or fine creases.  It is also supposed to help with under eye bags and puffiness in the process with a formula treatment complex that combines four bioactive ingredients along with UVA/UVB and Infra-Red protection.  All those things to help with aging sound good to me.

I followed the directions exactly and applied the product after moisturizing, using a circular motion before gently patting the cream in the lines.  After the product dried, I stroked on my foundation and the rest of my makeup.

I don’t have a lot of wrinkles, but I do have laugh lines, a few less significant ones on my forehead and some fine creasing near my eyes.  In my case, this product did not do much for those deeper laugh lines to impress me overall to want to rush out and buy it for $79.95.  Do not misunderstand me.  I am not saying that it did not work; it just did seem to help more with the fine creases instead.   Therefore, if you have fine creases and want to temporarily get rid of them for a few hours, then I suggest to give this product a try.

You can find Christie Brinkley’s Close Up Instant Wrinkle Reducer and Treatment here.

Review: DS Laboratories Oligo. DX Cellulite Reducing Gel

DS Laboratories Oligo. DX Cellulite Reducing Gel.jpeg
DS Laboratories Oligo. DX Cellulite Reducing Gel.

Though it feels like winter will never end, warm weather will arrive before you know it, which means time to take out the swimsuits and shorts. I hate to admit this, but working all day on the computer hasn’t been exactly kind to my backside. The way I saw it was that I had two choices, I either looked for a way to get rid of this extra cellulite or give up on wearing shorts and swimsuits this year.

When DS Laboratories approached about reviewing some of their products, I noticed they had a cellulite product that sounded promising called Oligo.DX Cellulite Reducing Gel. To begin with, it did not require much time to do and worked differently than other cellulite products that I used in the past.

This one was designed with ingredients to deeply penetrate the tissues and dissolve that trapped dimpled fat and dispose of it through darker urine. As I understand it, the reason for this capability is because of a highly effective delivery system that uses very tiny burrowing nanosomes to get the job done.

Unlike other cellulite solutions, this product did not require any dry brushing or massaging first. All that was necessary was to rub some of the cream on. The idea that I didn’t have to waste a lot of timing preparing first before using the product worked for me, especially since my guy jokes that I am almost connected to the computer like a part of the Borg Collective of Star Trek.

The company claims this product will most likely show results in two weeks of daily use. It also clearly stated over time cellulite would come back once discontinuing use of the product.  Nonetheless, it is only a fair assumption as your body forms new cellulite.

I used the cream once a day after my shower. I didn’t notice anything for the first few times I rubbed some of this cream on. I felt disappointed, but knew I was expecting too much, too soon. Therefore, I kept on rubbing. No joke, I did start seeing some changes on my eleventh day.

Two lumpy areas, one on my upper thigh and the other, on the back of my other thigh, looked smoother.  You can imagine my excitement because I distinctly remembered those humps were bigger! Feeling a wonderful rush, I kept rubbing and am still rubbing.

I am seeing less cellulite than before I started. However, the cellulite is not all gone–but it has improved.  In fact, I consider my body still a work in progress. I will continue with Oligo.DX and am hopeful about what may be possible by the end of this tube.

Are you ready for summer? If not, then do learn more about Oligo.DX Cellulite Reducing Gel from DS Laboratories. It can give you more confidence in time for swimsuit season!
