Your skin will invite caresses after using these products!

Losing yourself to a relaxing bit of private time in the tub is an essential part of my life.  I believe everyone deserves pampering for cleansing and revitalizing the skin but also as a way to reduce stress and tense muscles after a long day.  Thanks to Zakia Morocco, I experienced a bathing ritual similar to a genuine Hammam Moroccan bathhouse with their Hammam Home Spa Kit.

The Hammam Home Spa Kit ($39.99) is available in eight fragrances, but I chose the Moroccan Rose. It includes a Moroccan Black Soap, 100% Pure Organic Argan Oil, Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask, Loofah Leather Poof, and a Moroccan Kessa Exfoliating Glove and Toiletry Bag.

I want to try the Amber Musk Black Soap next, only in the larger 16 oz. size.
What I did was to shower first to prep my body for the Moroccan Black Soap. At first glance, this 100% natural olive oil planted based castile and argan oil soap is a murky dark green color in the jar that doesn’t look very appealing.  I dug my fingers into this rose-scented goop and slowly rubbed the product over my body.  Instead of a foamy lather like a body gel or wash, this is creamier with more light suds.  After I had everything covered, I further worked the soap in with the help of the loofah leather poof.

There was also a jar of mineral-rich Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask for a deep facial or cleansing hair to get rid of lingering styling products.  This is a fine powder that I reconstituted with about two tablespoons of warm water first.  Since my complexion is on the dry side, I wanted to use this mask on my hair since I was planning to color it soon.   I worked the mask into my wet hair and left in on as well while waiting for the soap to dry.

Afterwards, I waited about five minutes until my skin tingled slightly.  This was my signal to rinse the soap off and about the right time to rinse out the hair mask.

This was my clue to work with the Kessa Exfoliating Glove.  Once against my skin, it left my body even softer than it felt after that moisturizing soap.  Using a light pressure, I rubbed my damp back and other parts as gently as possible with a back and forth motion.  In the process, some dead skin fell away. You don’t use this Kessa Glove each time only once a week.

After giving myself one final rinsing, I dried but kept my skin slightly damp before immediately applying the Moroccan Argan Oil sparingly.  This was fast absorbing and made my skin as soft as silk from how its abundant vitamin E nourished the skin, deeply moisturizing to almost seal in the remaining drops of water like a protective coat.

Furthermore, my hair once dried was glossier and felt lighter somehow.  I really liked this product much more than a clarifying shampoo for lifting all that accumulation of hair styling products.

I honestly loved how extra soft my skin felt using the Zakia Moroccan Hammam Spa Kit compared to a body wash or gel and a nylon pouf.  If you want incredible feeling skin, I urge you to try this kit yourself or put it on your holiday gift buying list because would be a hit by any beauty lover.  Check it out at Zakia Morocco’s website!

Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion

I believe strongly in the benefits of regular exfoliation to encourage cell renewal for a better, glowing complexion.  Therefore, when iFabbo emailed about Dr. Brandt’s PoreDermabrasion, I thought why not see how this $58 pore perfecting exfoliator worked for this #iFabboMember.

According to the package, this product deeply cleans and refines the appearance of pores as it smooths skin texture through professional grade micro crystals and chemical exfoliator.

I followed the directions by damping my face first before applying a small amount of the Dr. Brandt #PoreDermabrasion.  I gently massaged the product on my face and away from my eyes for the recommended minute. Then, I gave it about two minutes as the box specified to activate the product’s ingredients before finally rinsing.

With my dry complexion, Dr. Brandt’s PoreDermabrasion left my skin feeling tight.  I did not experience redness or irritation, but I felt uncomfortable. Perhaps, those with normal to oily complexions would feel differently, but this is not a product for me.

However, if Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion sounds like something that could benefit your complexion, this product ships free so use this link and share.  You can also earn X2 loyalty points with that purchase.  In fact, if you share with friends and they return to dr.brandskincare.com, you can both save up to $10 on your next purchase when you click here.

Memebox Special #29 Scrub Box

I do love exfoliating whether it’s for my face or body to smooth away dead skin and bring on the new.  As you can guess, I was thrilled when the Memebox Special #29 Scrub Box arrived.

Inside that hot pink package, I found six Korean favorites to help me in my quest. This assortment sold for $23.00 in addition to the $6.99 shipping, but it went quickly.  My best advice is that you need to be fast to order when you see a box that you like.

Check out what I received below.

Total Value: $86.00!

The insobeau Natural Base Cereal Peeling Mask uses an all-natural formula that includes cornstarch and flour to peel away dead skin and brighten the complexion.

The Eglips JolieBeBe Lip Polish uses a jojoba oil formula of beadlike grains for exfoliating dry, flaky lips.  At the same time, it also has a moisturizing shea butter complex to keep lips soft.

THE HERB FACTORY Foot Scrub is something my feet loved.  This product has walnut shell powder that gently exfoliates rough skin.  You just add some of this foot scrub to wet feet, massage a bit before rinsing and discovering softer feet!

The PIBUGONGGAM G Facial Scrub has orange and tangerine peels, grapefruit, sea buckthorn, red poppy petals, and aronia extracts to exfoliate and rejuvenate the complexion.

I adored the Tosowoong Perfume Body Scrub, which is available at the Memeshop.  This stuff made for a blissful bath with its sweet, but also refreshing scent.  This scrub has almond, apricot, walnut and honey extracts to slough off old skin.

The New Girl Fast Scalp Hair Root Up Ampoule is heavy duty scalp treatment for deep cleaning with salicylic acid among the ingredients.  My guess is this would be good to try if you have oily hair or if you want to strip your hair old styling products before coloring your hair.  I plan to give this to my guy to use with how oily his hair can get.

Want a Great Homemade Mask/Scrub for Oily Skin?

If you have an oily complexion and want to try a mask/scrub you can make in your own kitchen, then I have a wonderful recipe you should try.  It really helps improve that problem while saving you money at the same time!

Mix equal portions of cornmeal and regular oatmeal (not instant) with hot water to make a paste.  Apply this to your freshly washed face.  Leave this mixture on for at least ten minutes and remain hidden from public view.

Wet your fingers when the time to remove the mask/scrub is up and work the mixture over your face like a scrub, using more water if needed, to exfoliate as well.  Rinse with cold water to close your pores.

Do use this mask/scrub treatment no more than twice a week.  This does help clear up the oil better than a lot of commercial products that I have used.  Do try this easy recipe and see a difference in your skin!
