Beauty Box 5 May 2017 Review

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Beauty Box 5 May 2017.jpeg
May 2017 was a good month with five full size products and one bonus sample!

Summer Date Night is the theme behind this latest Beauty Box 5.  If you are unfamiliar with this beauty box subscription, then you are missing out on the fun way to shop and often find some great products that you might never have ever heard before.

Each month Beauty Box 5 sends a box with five full and sample size makeup, hair and skin care, nail polish, beauty tools and fragrances.  The cost is $12.00 per month with  free shipping in the USA, but $3.00 extra if you are in Canada.

May 2017 happened to be a really good month with the beauty stash that arrived in my green box.  Let me show you what I found.

Beauty Box 5 May 2017

1.  Cougar Beauty 24 Hour Liquid Lipstick (Full Size)----------------------------------$12.99
2.  Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Lip Conditioner (Full Size)-----------------$10.00
3.  Jelly Pong Pong Bare Necessities Highlighting Pencil (Full Size)---------------$17.95
4.  Daily Concepts Exfoliating Body Scrubber (Full Size)--------------------------------$5.00
5.  Nanacoco Jumbo Eye & Lip Pencil (Full Size)------------------------------------------$5.50
6.  De La Cruz Arnica Salve (Sample of 0.12 oz.)------------------------------------------$0.35

Total Approximate Value:   $51.80!

The Cougar Beauty 24 Hour Liquid Lipstick was flattering.  The color was deep pink-mauve called Mulberry. The finish I got was matte and had wonderful staying power.

The Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Lip Conditioner came in a delicious vanilla coconut cream flavor.  It’s all natural and makes dry lips feel good.

Jelly Pong Pong Bare Necessities Highlighting Pencil was from a brand that I never tried before.  However, this product was ideal for accenting areas with its gorgeous pigment and smooth blending.

The Daily Concepts Exfoliating Body Scrubber is something that comes in handy.  This sponge has two sides with two textures from gentle buffing to more vigorous scrubbing.

As to the Nanacoco Jumbo Eye & Lip Pencil, I was disappointed in the choice of color that landed up in my box.  Mine happened to be a bold deep green that was somewhat darker than a pickle that I would never wear.  This will go to my neighbor’s teen daughter who goes in for that wild sort of thing.

The De La Cruz Arnica Salve is helpful when you get a fresh bruise.  I didn’t run into anything yet, but I do that once in a while when I move the furniture around.

In my opinion, May 2017 was a vast improvement over the previous month.  I loved it all except that one eye & lip pencil and only because of the shade.  Have you tried this beauty box subscription out yet?  If not, I suggest check out Beauty Box 5!

A Good Month for Beauty Lovers With Beauty Box 5 for March 2015! (Review)

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Beauty Box 5 March 2015 box.jpeg
Take a peek at Beauty Box 5 March 2015!

Though Spring break may be on your mind, the theme behind this month’s box is not being a bit more lax about beauty with a selection of items to fit the occasion.  Instead, the assortment of skin care and makeup products are for maximizing your beauty potential.

If you still haven’t found Beauty Box 5, then you really should give it a try.  Each box has four or five full to sample sizes of beauty items per box, which can be had for $12 with a monthly subscription.  Yet, you can even pay less.  A subscription can run as low  as $6.58 a month when committing to an annual subscription.

In fact, March 2015 is even more exciting because it came with three full size cosmetics!  Are you ready to dive in and explore these new beauty goodies?  Then let me show you in detail when I found in this new box that has me in such a good mood.

Beauty Box 5 March 2015

Eslor Introductory Collection–Second Edition--four sample packets (5 ml)–$17.03

Elite Therapeutics Rosemary Eucalyptus Body Cream–.5 oz. sample--$1.18

Scandalous by Nanacoco Thickening MascaraFull Size–$4.99

Styli-Style Line & Seal Twist Mechanical Eye LinerFull Size–$4.99

Laugh Out Loud by Nanacoco Lip GlossFull Size–$3.99

Total Value: $32.18

This is the second time I got some Eslor skin care and loved finding more of this paraben free natural line to tweak up my complexion.  The four packets are the Soothing Refiner & Cleanser, Botanical Peeling Gel, Chlorophyll Lifting Mask, and Firming Collagen Day Cream.  I am once again testing facial care products so the first chance I get I will dive into my new stash of these samples.

The Elite Therapeutics has 70% certified organic ingredients, which I love to hear.  It’s a wonderful formulation for moisturizing the body if you don’t mind its distinctive herbal scent, which may not be for everyone.

The Nanacoco brand is one that I don’t remember trying in the past.  However, I thought the black Scandalous Mascara pumped up my lashes nicely.  It didn’t leave them feeling brittle either, which can happen sometimes.

I absolutely adored the Nanacoco Lip Gloss in Call Me Babe for feel and color.  This is such a pretty metallic pinky-brown nude with some mauve that lit up my lips beautifully without excess stickiness.  It is a great neutral that would compliment every skin tone.

The final product was a Styli-Style Mechanical Eye Liner in Lapis.  This is a lovely teal color that I was surprised did so much for my dark brown eyes.

In summary, I thought this was a wonderful put together selection!  Do you agree?

Beauty Box 5 January 2015 Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Beauty Box 5 January 2015.jpeg
Beauty Box 5 January 2015

To start the new year, this month’s Beauty Box 5 comes with an appropriate theme of hello!  The products in this assortment are meant to keep you looking and feeling ready to meet new challenges.

To those that might be unaware of this particular beauty subscription, let me tell you a little about how this one works.  Every month a new beauty box comes out with a fresh theme and four to five full and sample size products for a cost of $12 a month with free shipping. I know that price already sounds tempting, but you can save even more and have that $12 price drop to just $8.25 a month, if you sign up for an annual subscription.

Take a look at this month’s box and you can decide if you have been missing out on some great beauty!

Beauty Box 5 January 2015

1.  Coastal Scents Eye Shadow ( 0.07 oz. sample)–$.48

2.  Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips Kit (Full Size)–$9.99

3.   Ultraflesh The Gold Standard Mascara in Blackout ( 0.08 oz. sample tube)–$6.22

4.   Garnier Fructis Daily Care Fortifying Shampoo ( 1.7 fl. sample)–$.60

5.   Softsoap Nutri Serums Vitamin E Body Wash (1.7 oz. sample)–$.45

                                                    Total approximate value: $17.74

The Coastal Scent Eye Shadow sampler was Set 39 (Solar Flare, Vibrant Green, Vibrant Plum and Capri Blue).  For the most part, I didn’t care for the wild colors except for the plum despite what may be trending on some fashion runaways for Spring, 2015.  However, you may feel differently.

The Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips Kit I received was 540 Stripe-Tease.  I do love Sally Hansen nail polish and am looking forward to trying this out.

I keep mascara for about three months before I replace it to keep my eyes safe.  Therefore, the Ultraflesh Mascara is a wonderful size when you need to toss it so you don’t feel like you are wasting it.  The only thing I didn’t care for was when I researched to learn more about this product.  I became aware that this is a discontinued mascara from 2011.

The Garnier Fructis Daily Care Fortifying Shampoo is something my hair benefitted from since it was a strengthening formula.  It lathered up and gave my hair pretty sheen.

The Softsoap Nutri Serums Body Wash was one from the brand that I didn’t try until now.  It had a delectable sweet scent that smelled like an apple and yet had a touch of floral.  Bathing with it was a very pleasant way to clean with its moisturizing lather.

Overall, I thought it was a decent box and thrilling to explore.  Do think of subscribing to Beauty Box 5 yourself because it is a fun way to get beautiful.

What are your thoughts about Beauty Box 5 for January 2015?  Do share.

Beauty Box 5 December 2014 Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Beauty Box 5 December 2014.jpeg
Here is  a photo of  Beauty Box 5 for December 2014.

This month’s Beauty Box 5 revolves around indulgences to make the holidays even brighter with the assortment of products geared to do the trick.

If you’re unfamiliar with this monthly beauty subscription, then let me fill you in.  Each box usually has four to five beauty items from full sizes to samples.  The cost is $12 a month with free shipping, but you can reduce that price significantly if you get an annual subscription that brings it to a mere $8.25 a month.

As to what arrived, I won’t keep you in suspense any longer.  Here is what I received in this new beauty box below.

Beauty Box 5 December 2014

1.  Jaqua Rose Bouquet Hydrating Facial Mist–FULL SIZE (1.69 fl. oz.)–$16.50

2.  Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads–FULL SIZE (32 pads)–$2.99

3.  Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer–SAMPLE (.26 fl. oz.)–$9.94

4.  Nanacoco Nail Polish–FULL SIZE–$3.95

5.  Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 Perfume–SAMPLE (unspecified size)

Total Estimated Value–$33.38!

The Jaqua Rose Facial Mist was a hit with me.  I regularly use a rose facial mist year round after cleansing before moisturizing.  Sometimes, I also like to spray some on after I do my makeup and press a tissue over it.  This really does wonders for giving you a fresher look and does keep your makeup lasting longer.

The Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads I got were the Peach scented pads. This worked very well for removing polish, but you can still also smell the stronger chemicals along with the peach.  I still liked this product.

The Nanacoco Nail Polish was Summer Nigh Festival, a mix of purple and blue glitter.  I didn’t try this yet, but it does look pretty in the bottle.  I will paint my nails soon.

I do adore organic skin care.  I didn’t get a chance to test this new Juice Beauty Moisturizer because I am currently involved in another skin care project, but this one is already on my vanity waiting.

The Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 perfume sample was a lovely woody-floral with just enough spice to add to the magic.  I only wish we could have gotten a larger sample.

To sum it up, I would label December 2014 a good month!  Don’t you agree?

Have you tried Beauty Box 5  yet?  Do check it out!

Memebox Special #29 Scrub Box
Memebox Special #29 Scrub Box

I do love exfoliating whether it’s for my face or body to smooth away dead skin and bring on the new.  As you can guess, I was thrilled when the Memebox Special #29 Scrub Box arrived.

Inside that hot pink package, I found six Korean favorites to help me in my quest. This assortment sold for $23.00 in addition to the $6.99 shipping, but it went quickly.  My best advice is that you need to be fast to order when you see a box that you like.

Check out what I received below.

Memebox Special #29 Scrub Box

1.  insobeau Natural Base Cereal Peeling MaskFull Size (150ml)–$27.00

2.  Eglips JolieBeBe Lip PolishFull Size (15ml)–$7.00

3.  THE HERB FACTORY Foot Scrub Peppermint & Tea TreeFull Size (200g)–$14.00

4.  PIBUGONGGAM G Facial ScrubFull Size (50g)–$13.00

5.  Tosowoong Perfume Body Scrub WashFull Size (160g)–$19.00

6.  New Girl Fast Scalp Hair Root Up AmpouleFull Size (20ml)–$6.00

Total Value: $86.00!

The insobeau Natural Base Cereal Peeling Mask uses an all-natural formula that includes cornstarch and flour to peel away dead skin and brighten the complexion.

The Eglips JolieBeBe Lip Polish uses a jojoba oil formula of beadlike grains for exfoliating dry, flaky lips.  At the same time, it also has a moisturizing shea butter complex to keep lips soft.

THE HERB FACTORY Foot Scrub is something my feet loved.  This product has walnut shell powder that gently exfoliates rough skin.  You just add some of this foot scrub to wet feet, massage a bit before rinsing and discovering softer feet!

The PIBUGONGGAM G Facial Scrub has orange and tangerine peels, grapefruit, sea buckthorn, red poppy petals, and aronia extracts to exfoliate and rejuvenate the complexion.

I adored the Tosowoong Perfume Body Scrub, which is available at the Memeshop.  This stuff made for a blissful bath with its sweet, but also refreshing scent.  This scrub has almond, apricot, walnut and honey extracts to slough off old skin.

The New Girl Fast Scalp Hair Root Up Ampoule is heavy duty scalp treatment for deep cleaning with salicylic acid among the ingredients.  My guess is this would be good to try if you have oily hair or if you want to strip your hair old styling products before coloring your hair.  I plan to give this to my guy to use with how oily his hair can get.

Review: Beauty Box 5 August 2014

Beauty Box 5 August 2014.jpeg
Beauty Box 5 August 2014

As summer winds down, this month’s beauty assortment is geared to keeping us radiant and remarkable as we approach a new season.  With the five products in this August 2014 Beauty Box 5, you will be ready to shine!

A Beauty Box 5 subscription is a fun way to beautify. For just $12 a month, you get four to five full to sample size beauty products from cosmetics, skin care and hair care that come with a specific theme like this one, which never ceases to disappoint me.

Let’s check out my latest box. Here is exactly what I got.

Beauty Box 5 August 2014

1.  Purlisse Pur Protect 30–Sample Size (½ oz.)—$11.95

2.  La Fresh Travel Lite Makeup Remover Wipes–(Sample Size of 8)—$3.33

3.  Nanacoco Lip Gloss–Full Size (Carmel Latte)–$3.99

4.  Novex Brazilian Keratin–Sample Size (1.05 oz.)–$0.62

5.  Style Essentials Nail Polish  (.25 oz.) 4 Nail Polish Collection–$1.75

Total Value–$21.64

The Purlisse Pur Protect was a great lightweight moisturizer with SPF 30 that absorbed well. This is a gentle formula that won’t leave you greasy looking.

The La Fresh Makeup Remover Wipes are handy.  I didn’t try them on waterproof makeup yet, but they took off the non-waterproof cosmetics just fine.

The Nanacoco Lip Gloss sent was in Carmel Latte, a pale brownish-pumpkin shade. It felt a bit sticky, but it was a subtle neutral that you can wear with practically anything.

Since I just gave myself a deep-conditioning treatment the other day, I will need to wait to try the Novex Brazilian Keratin until another time.  However, I am looking forward to trying it the next time my hair needs help.

Finally, I got a bottle of Style Essentials Nail Polish from their 4 Nail Polish Collection that I didn’t try yet.  I can’t find any name of the shade but it is a bright, wild green. This is perfect when a fun-loving mood strikes.

I thought this box was wonderful.  Do check Beauty Box 5's website and do some browsing. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.  I think you will love them as much as I do once you try their subscription boxes!

Review: Blissmo Beauty Box June 2014 + Save $10 With My Coupon Code!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Blissmo Beauty Box June 2014.jpeg
Blissmo Beauty Box June 2014

Those looking for green solutions to beauty should acquaint themselves with Blissmo because the products you can expect in their beauty boxes are solely organic and always eco-friendly featuring both familiar and emerging brands.  I got to experience what they had to offer once my June Blissmo beauty box arrived.

Each Blissmo beauty box sells for $19.95 plus $4.95 shipping with an estimated value of between $20 and $40. However, you are not obligated to buy monthly.  You can skip a month, if you don’t care for the choices when you are sent their usual monthly email.  Commit for six months and you can make out like a bandit with free shipping.

To give you a better idea of what you may expect to find in a typical monthly beauty offering from this company, take a look below at what I received and decide the value for yourself.

Blissmo Beauty Box for June 2014:

1.  Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream–Full Size (2 oz.)  Certified organic $12

2.  Ohana Organics Gardenia Amber Perfume–Full Size (1/6 oz.)–$9

3.  Red Bird Naturals Eye Opener–Full Size (½ oz.)–$12

4.  California Naturel (three sample packets of Gentle Cleansing Gel, Balancing Complex, Nourishing Cream) of unspecified size

5.  Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Collection (three sample packets of .07 fl. oz. each of Cleansing Gel, Age Defy Serum, Age Defy Moisturizer)

Blissmo must have read my mind because I had always wanted to try Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Hand Cream. This one was certified organic, which is important when you get those cracks in the skin so not to absorb any chemical cocktail into the blood. It also had a pleasant citrus smell, absorbed quickly, and left my hands softer while it soon healed the irritation.

Also, included were Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy samples with its organic fruit acid complex, peptides, DMAE, alpha lipoic acid, Vitamin C and CoQ10 for brightening, lightening and tightening my complexion.  With the luck that I had with this company’s hand cream, I was looking forward to trying these.  Full sizes of Green Apple Cleansing Gel retail for $26, the Age Defy Serum goes for $52, and the Age Defy Moisturizer sells for $45.

The Ohana Organics Gardenia Amber Perfume is a solid perfume that came sealed that I liked very much.  It was a lovely sweet floral with seductive amber to soften it.

California Naturel is a new brand to me that I am eager to explore.  Full size of the Balancing Complex for combination to oily skin retails for $45.  Full size of the Nourishing Cream for dry to normal skin also sells for $45 while the full size Cleansing Gel for all skin types goes for $33.

The Red Bird Naturals Eye Opener is both skin care for wrinkles and dark circles as well as a treatment for eyes in one product that can even help with tired and puffy eyes. Ingredients such as green tea, arnica, eyebright, herbs, apricot kernel and shea butter are in this light eye cream.

If you want a healthier alternative to commercial brands in caring for your skin and body, then I suggest checking out Blissmo’s website.

Here’s something exciting that I want to add.  If you enter coupon code blissmokm when you sign up, Nuts 4 Stuff readers will save $10 at checkout!
