Yasou Natural Skin Care Vegan Cellular Day Cream and Cell Renewal Night Cream Review–For a Complexion to Celebrate

yasou-day-cream.jpeg
This is a thicker cream that you use very little of.

I truly believe in the difference that organic skin care can make to improve a complexion.  Why feed the skin of diet of man-made chemicals when you can deliver those beneficial ingredients in a healthier way?  Yasou Natural Skin Care uses Greek traditions and culture along with science and technology in their organic skin care formulations like their Vegan Cellular Day Cream and Cell Renewal Night Cream that I have been using over the past weeks.

Yasou Vegan Cellular Day Cream is 99.6% natural with certified organic extra virgin olive oil, a MFA complex and the brand’s proprietary Calityl-O-Complex for anti-aging firming, elasticity, moisturizing, brightness, cell regeneration, and stimulating collagen with grape seed and apple extracts.  The formula has natural alpha hydroxy acids, vitamins, fruit extracts, cucumber extract, green tea extract among others to boost complexion renewal.

The Day Cream is luxurious, but a thicker cream than you may be expecting.  Therefore, you only need a small amount to do your face.  In fact, this cream makes a wonderful primer before your makeup.

yasou-night-cream.jpeg
The night cream is not as thick as the day cream.

The Cell Renewal Night Cream is 99.2% natural with certified organic extra virgin olive oil, their revolutionary Hyadisine, sourced from the ocean and proprietary Calityl-O-Complex for anti-aging.  In addition, other skin-loving ingredients are aloe, organic fruit oils and extracts, shea butter, vitamins, and more.

The Night Cream is a bit thinner in consistency than the Day Cream.  Both also have a slight fruit scent, not a distinct one that will overpower or be easy to recognize.  Furthermore, these vegan creams are cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified.  They also are made in the United States!

Unlike their chemical counterparts, organic skin care takes a bit longer before the complexion responds.  This is because it takes the skin some time to purge the impurities deep in the pores.  Afterwards, the nutrients have true access for repairing, healing and optimally supplying the skin with only what it needs instead of stuffing it with silicones and other ingredients to plump up lines and smooth as well as a host of other chemical ingredients and preservatives.

What I noticed at first was mostly how extremely soft my face felt when I touched it.  The more days that I used these creams, the more my complexion took on a glowing radiance.  I can’t say all wrinkles are gone now, but they appear less prominent, even my laugh lines. Maybe the reason is because the texture of my skin is smoother with fewer visible pores in addition to an inner glow that is shining from the skin to the surface that makes me feel this way.

You have but one face so why not take care of it in the same way you do for your body in how you nourish it?  I am very impressed with Yasou Natural Skin Care Vegan Cellular Day ($70.00) Cream and Cell Renewal Night Cream ($80.00) and definitely love my results.

If want to do my complexion a real service, I highly recommend visiting Yasou Natural Skin Care and trying these Vegan Creams (now $135) for you as well as anyone on your holiday gift list because they and you will be thrilled with what you later find in your mirror!

Now Is the Time to Start Preparing Your Skin for Winter!

**Disclaimer:  This is a sponsored post for EOS.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

pretty woman with hat surrounded by leaves.jpeg
This beauty knows what it takes to maintain that gorgeous complexion.  The question is, do you?

Before you know it, the cold weather outside will soon force us to turn up the temperatures inside.  Though this action seems innocent enough, that heat starts the cycle of the skin losing normal moisture.  The fact is the older that you are, the drier your skin will experience this increased dryness due to the dermis producing less sebum for needed natural moisture that oil glands once supplied.  In order to protect your skin from suffering this winter from excessive dryness, then take these skin care tips to heart.

Just like the seasons, our skin does change as well in reaction to the weather.  You may still be using a lighter moisturizer that carried you through warm, humid summer weather, but you may want to start shopping for a heavier formulation to handle the colder days ahead.  My advice is trading your water-based moisturizer for an oil-based one with plenty of non-clogging oils like avocado, borage, grape seed, jojoba, olive or almond oils.  You can also try hunting for moisturizers rich in humectants like hyaluronic acid, AHAs, urea, glycerin for their abilities in pulling water from the atmosphere before binding it the skin, which may feel more lightweight, especially as a lotion.

Soothing Touch Organic Bath and Body Products Review

Soothing Touch skin care products.jpeg
Organic skin care is a great way to keep skin healthy.

Certified organic skin care is tops in my book as a secret of great skin.  The reason is because of purer ingredients to let skin breathe instead of suffocating with unhealthier chemicals or toxins that can possibly jeopardize health once absorbed through the bloodstream. Zeroing in on a good certified organic skin care brand can take some effort.  However, I recently discovered Soothing Touch, a wonderful and affordable option for keeping skin smooth, radiant and healthy through certified, organic bath and body products like several the company sent along.

L'Occitane's Divine Youth Gift Set.jpeg
L'Occitane's Divine Youth Gift Set

If you’re considering giving someone or yourself an anti-aging skin care set but don’t know where to start, I have a recommendation – L’Occitane en Provence’s Divine Youth Gift Set of four award-winning Immortelle line products.  What makes this line special is how the essential oils of organic Immortelle flower benefit the skin in bringing about increased cell turnover for a more beautiful complexion.

This $186 set comes with the Divine Cream (1.7 fl. oz.),  Divine Eyes (0.5 fl.oz.),  Divine Lotion (1.7 fl.oz.), and the Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam (5.1 fl.oz.).  If priced separately, these four products would run $232 for a savings of $46.

I’ve used these products before and can tell you that you will see daily changes to your complexion over time with regular use.  My skin was smoother and more luminous to the point that it did lessen the look of fine lines and creases.

Trust me on this, anyone longing for prettier skin and a more youthful complexion will love getting the Divine Youth Gift Set that comes in its exclusive gold gift box.

Purchase a gift set this season and L’Occitane will also spread some holiday cheer by donating $10 to Dress for Success to help prepare women for their job interviews.  Not only will you be making that special person that you’re shopping for happy with this gift, but you’ll will be brightening up another person’s life in the process.  What a wonderful way of sharing the spirit of the holidays, don’t you think?  So do visit L'Occitane or any other boutiques and check this gift out.

Are You Confused Between Skin Care With Natural Botanical Extracts Versus Essential Oils?

Lavender flower.jpeg
Lavender is common in organic skin care.
Many organic anti-aging serums are where you will usually see both natural botanical extracts and essential oils featured prominently in their ingredient lists. However, there is a difference between the two that you might not be aware of.

Essential oils represent the distinctive properties and fragrances of aromatic plants and flowers whose essence has been captured through steam distillation. The process requires harvesting hundreds of pounds of these plants and flowers just to produce several drops of essential oil.

On the other hand, natural botanical extracts are also taken from the plants, but they do not go through any distillation process. Instead, botanical extracts are left as nature intended after harvesting.  Since these type of plants and flowers have strong medicinal properties such as healing or calming irritated skin, they make for wonderful additions to skin care for the true benefits that they can provide.

How to Make a More Informed Decision When It Comes to Selecting Skin Care

Beautiful woman with wreath.jpeg
Beautiful skin doesn't just happen.  It takes a little effort and knowledge.

With all the choices available to us, it can be difficult deciding between skin care products.  Whether you go by your current skin care needs, brands or price, you also need to go one step further and decide between natural, organic and commercial formulations of that skin care, which only adds to the confusion.
Therefore, you’re probably wondering which variety of skin care is better—a product with natural or synthetic ingredients for the best results?

Knowing How to Distinguish Between “Natural” and “Organic” Is a Good Starting Point

When it comes to skin care, the word “natural” takes in a lot of territory. Basically though, the term means all or most of the ingredients in the product come from natural sources and has no synthetic compounds.
On the other hand, “organic” suggests that its ingredients are all plant-sourced and farmed without using synthetic chemicals, irradiation or pesticides to possibly contaminate its integrity.
However, regulation is lax regarding labeling so it is safe to assume the formula may not be as pure as you may have been led to believe.  Deciphering the label’s list of ingredients is the key. This will tell you exactly how “natural” or “organic” that product really is compared to the manufacturer’s claim.

Become Familiar with Natural and Organic Skin Care Seals

In the United States, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) will issue the USDA Organic Seal only if the product meets their 100% organically produced or 95% requirements without the formula containing synthetic preservatives, petrochemicals, or ionizing radiation.  Either of those USDA Organic Seals will also show the certifying agent’s name and address.
You also might run across the Natural Product Association (NPA) seal that insures 95% of the ingredients is natural (Flora, Fauna, and Mineral) or naturally developed with some additives that pose no risk to health.
Another highly respected seal to look for is the Ecocert.  This follows the strict guidelines set by the USDA and the France-based organic certification organization, Ecocert, regulating more than 80 countries that 95% of the product is organic.
There is also another type of classification from the USDA revolving around “made with organic ingredients,” which means 70% of the ingredients must be organic and only three of those organic ingredients are allowed to appear on the label.  You will not see a USDA Organic Seal.
Unfortunately, it also means that 30% of that product may contain ingredients that could possibly put your heath at risk. Thus, your best defense is carefully reading your labels.

Learn What Ingredients to Avoid in Your Skin Care to Safeguard Your Health

Now that you know what you’re up against, you need to dissect the formula to truly judge.
Parabens may be linked to potential problems with the endocrine system.
Phthalates are synthetic fragrance compounds that could risk your health to toxins.  These often are used in formulas to mimic the authentic essence of the essential oil, which was replaced to save costs.
Synthetic Fragrances are just as dangerous since these are chemical cocktails of ingredients.
Formaldehyde and Phenols are preservatives known to cause irritation.  These ingredients are also under scrutiny for their role in relation to cancer.
Sodium Laureth Sulfate is a tough cleansing agent that can possibly damage the secretions found in the skin’s lipid layer.
Petrolatum and its by product Mineral Oil can form a film on the skin that traps toxins instead of letting the skin breathe to release them.
Oxybenzone and Avobenzone are ingredients found in chemical sunscreen that the body absorbs in its fatty tissues that could be responsible for hormone disruption.
Ethanolamines (MEA/DEA/TEA) are foaming agents that bind with other ingredients to form nitrosamines, a known carcinogen.
Coal Tar Dyes also need your attention because they are linked to cancer.  These are artificial colors produced by mixing toluene, benzene or xylene, petroleum distillates.  They show up as a color and number like FD&C Red 6 or FD&C Yellow 5.
You also need to watch out for volatile plant extracts.  Valuable natural ingredients basically lack a pleasing scent with the exception of a few like cucumber or coconut, which are safe.  Ingredients such as lavender, mints, citrus, ylang-ylang, and rose extract are considered volatile plants extracts that can cause irritation in sensitive individuals that can lead to collagen breaking down.
These are just some bad ingredients that should be on your radar.  For a complete list of chemicals that you should be concerned about, you can visit Safe Cosmetics Organization

Whish Body's Sugar Plum Holiday Gift Sets Review + ($72) Giveaway! (3 Winners!)--Ends December 21, 2014

Whish Body's Sugar Plum Holiday Gift Set.jpeg
Whish Body's Sugar Plum Holiday Gift Set

When wanting to pamper delicate skin, I recently discovered the wonders of Whish Body. This health conscious brand developed their natural formulations due to the founder’s own sensitivity issue to the harmful chemicals regularly added to many of the same type of products. As a result, Whish Body became the answer to meet that need.
My first experience with this company was with their Sugar Plum Holiday Gift Set that has body butter, sugar scrub, and a body wash (all 3-fl. oz.). These three products are a delectable, fruity way to moisturize, exfoliate, and cleanse as safely and gently as possible.

The delicious raspberry smell is amazing, but then again so are the good-for-you ingredients, which include many organic ones such as organic shea butter, organic raspberry butter, organic aloe, organic cucumber, and organic bamboo powder plus others.   No parabens, sulfates, DEA and TEA or petrochemicals are in these USA-made products either, which is another important factor when you are trying to take precautions with your health since those chemicals can be absorbed into your skin.

I enjoyed scrubbing with the Sugar Plum Sugar Scrub and thought it did a great job smoothing my skin along with the yummy Sugar Plum Body Wash.  Moisturizing with the Sugar Plum Body Butter gave my skin beautiful softness and made me smell tempting enough to nibble on!

Now I'm very curious about this company's hand creams. Find Whish Body at Nordstrom's for yourself and those that you'll be buying for this holiday shopping season because if you do then all will be merry!

Kleem Organics Jeunesse Vitamin C Serum Review

Kleem Organics

Finding great anti-aging products that work for YOU can often be a hit or miss situation as we all know.  However, I am so excited because I discovered another winner with Kleem Organics Jeunesse Vitamin C Serum for what it did for me on all fronts.

Kleem Organics Jeunesse Vitamin C Serum.jpeg
Kleem Organics Jeunesse Vitamin C Serum

This serum has 20% of potent natural vitamin C for intensive complexion repair from its ability to promote collagen.  Yet, this is only part of this amazing rejuvenating formula that utilizes plant-based hyaluronic acid, arginine, aloe vera, vitamin E, and a host of organic ingredients that can help encourage the rebirth of your skin.

You may think that I am exaggerating, but I do love this lightweight serum for the beautiful reawakening of my complexion, but also for so many different reasons.  It is wonderful for sensitive skin, feels soothing once applied, has a sanitary pump to dispense it, and leaves your complexion adequately moisturized without being overly sticky or greasy.

Though I have been using it only for about two weeks, I saw my complexion change fairly rapidly in tone, texture, and firmness almost before my eyes.  Now I am watching a small spot diminish in color and size that I have been trying to get rid after a harsh experience with a fruit peel.

Keeping my skin this gorgeous won’t destroy my budget either because this stuff costs only $19.99!  Check out Kleem Organics Jeunesse Vitamin C Serum because you’re going to love it.

Korres Jasmine Body Butter

Nothing is more enticing than fragrant, petal-soft skin.  A smart way to lose yourself in lush, fragrant moisture to accomplish that goal is through a healthier alternative of skin care.  A purer 92.8% natural formula that you need to be aware of without all the chemicals comes from Greek brand, Korres, with their Jasmine Body Butter that I have been sampling.

This is a delicate white floral packed with nourishing ingredients like shea butter, quince extract, sunflower, almond and avocado oils that I adored after showering.  This silky cream felt luxuriously rich and didn’t sit on top of my damp skin or feel greasy.  It smoothed and scented with just enough appealing jasmine without overpowering the senses to make me irresistibly soft and fragrant through my day.

I am now longing to try a few of the other scents to indulge in like Japanese Rose and Guava.   Needless to say, I am also so tempted by Apple Blossom, Vanilla-Guava, and Fig and the rest, if the truth is known.

Anyone looking for a very effective natural body butter to keep skin hydrated and subtly perfumed should check out Korres Body Butter ($29), especially this lovely Jasmine.   I just am confident that you will be pleased on how well it works.

Thanks to Korres, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the United States wins a 7.95 oz. tube of Korres Jasmine Body Butter ($29 value)!

Review: Coast to Coast Ultra Soothing Aqua Serum, Lightweight Moisture Lotion and Ultra Soothing White Clay Mask

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Coast to Coast Ultra Soothing Aqua Serum

Sun protection may be a prime factor to prevent aging skin. Nonetheless, if you happen to have a sensitive complexion like me you can have problems with some ingredients in sunscreens or moisturizers more than others.  However, I got to sample some three wonderful products from a new brand called Coast to Coast that worked very well for quenching dryness of my delicate skin while providing gentle sun protection without any irritation.

This Australian company with their natural skin care line makes use of marine extracts, botanicals, and vitamins featuring organic ingredients and 100% natural essential oils to keep their formulas pure enough for even those with the most stressed complexions.  You will not find any artificial colors, fragrances, parabens, petrochemicals, propylene glycol, paraffin, phthalates, mineral oil, PABA or DEA.

Their Ultra Soothing Aqua Serum ($39.99) was the first product I tried in the regime. Two drops of this clear skin-boosting serum with Tasmanian sea kelp, sea parsley, vitamin E, and sodium hyaluronate immediately comforted my skin without leaving me greasy before I layered some of their Lightweight Moisturizer Lotion ($29.99).

For a lightweight formula, this product surprised me with how much hydration I got upon application.  The Lightweight Moisturizer Lotion with sun screen and UV filters has Tasmanian sea kelp, sea parsley, organic aloe and lavender among its beneficial ingredients.

Finally, I received their Ultra Soothing White Clay Mask ($24.99). Clay masks usually are too drying for skin like mine, but this felt lightly tingly instead of intensely pulling. I kept this one on for about twelve minutes before rinsing it off.  This mineral-rich mask was nice for energizing my skin, removing impurities, and improving how it glowed.

These products are meant for all skin types.  As I mentioned, I have dry skin that does like to act up at times due to my allergies and these products had enough soothing power for me. Do find Coast to Coast at ULTA Beauty and stop suffering needlessly.

Review: Ola Hawaiian Body Products Passion Fruit Body Wash

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Ola Tropical Apothecary Passion Fruit Body Wash
Ola Passion Fruit Body Wash

I was recently offered an escape to Paradise.  Of course, I had to accept!  If you had thought that I was invited to beautiful Hawaii, I wish that I had.  However, I got the next best thing–Ola Hawaiian Body Products brought the island to me.

Ola Hawaiian Body Products is an island-made, natural and organic body care company that use authentic formulas and locally sourced natural ingredients to produce their pure and potent handcrafted collection of body lotions, body butters, body polishes, body washes, body mists, lip moisturizers, hair care, sun healing products, home fragrances, and fragrance mist to bring on a sense of well-being.

Hawaiian resort spas have known the effectiveness of their amazing products since 2005 to benefit the lives of their clients.  Now, I,  too had the opportunity to try one of their tropical luxury products.  I received their Passion Fruit Body Wash.

This body wash was a fruity pleasure to wash with.  It has a somewhat thinner consistency than some other body washes, but it is very gentle and luscious smelling, leaving the skin soft and delicately scented.

Passion Fruit Body Wash is available in the 2-oz. ($10) or an 8-oz. size ($24). Besides Passion Fruit, Ola has five other fragrance lines of products with Pikake, Tuberose, Maile, Plumeria, and Coconut.

I am longing to try more, like their Plumeria or Pikake Body Polish and Butters next!  Do visit Ola Hawaiian Body Products for your own escape to Paradise!

Review: Just Natural Organic Skin and Hair Care Products

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Just Natural Organic Skin and Hair Care Products.jpeg
Just Natural Organic Skin and Hair Care Products

The more nutritious your diet, the better your chances of staying well.  The same principle applies to your complexion. Feeding your skin in the same fashion as you do your body with natural organic ingredients to nourish it instead of a chemical cocktail can help a complexion thrive as well since you are giving it the elements it needs to stay healthy.

Just Natural Organic Products has the same philosophy in the pure products that they produce with no GMO’s, parabens, or sulfates.  Everything is made fresh in small batches here in the United States.  The company sent me several of their skin and hair care to see what I thought.

The Anti-Aging Day Facial Cream ($49.99) was the first product I experimented with.  This is a wonderful, lightweight anti-aging moisturizer that includes sea buckthorn, rosehip oil, borage, camellia seed oils, as well as aloe vera to intensely moisturize and rejuvenate skin.  I used this regularly in the mornings after I washed to start my day.

This day cream felt comfortable, didn’t make me greasy, and allowed my skin to breathe instead of weighing it down with heavier, pore-clogging ingredients.  It gave me a petal soft complexion and did seem to lessen some finer creases over time.

The second product that I want to tell you about is their Anti-Aging Renewal Serum ($37.99), which is packed with beneficial natural anti-oxidants and other soothing, restorative oils from ingredients such as jojoba, sea buckthorn, macadamia oil, hazelnut oil, squalene, and carrot oil.

Just Natural Anti-Aging Renewal Serum.jpeg
Just Natural Anti-Aging Renewal Serum

Immediately, I did notice my complexion took on more of a peachy, healthier color after I started applying two drops after cleansing each night for nearly three weeks now.  I liked that this oil did not sit on top of the skin, but absorbed somewhat as it went to work.  This concentrated serum left my skin extremely soft and wonderfully hydrated.  The best part was how it kept brightening my skin tone.

I also received a bar of their handmade Paradise Soap ($11.99).  This lathers up beautifully with somewhat of a citrus scent and gently replenishes skin with plant oils and butters like macadamia and coconut oils, tacuma butter and guava leaf extract for its healing benefits. You might even want to skip following up with your body lotion after bathing with this soap.

To see how their hair line worked, I requested their Extreme Dry Hair Shea Butter ($28.99). This product is rich in nuts butters and plant oils to rectify suffering hair and bring it back to life.  With my medium length of hair, I only needed to use a small amount (nickle size) of this leave in conditioner.  After I styled, I was greeted to hair that was softer, shinier, and more manageable without bogging my hair down.

I really liked this sampling of organic products for the beauty it brought out in my skin and hair.  In fact, I was so taken with these that I plan on trying more in the future.

Anyone looking for a more holistic, natural approach to skin and hair care should visit Just Natural Skin and Hair Care Products and try some, too!

Review: Blissmo Beauty Box June 2014 + Save $10 With My Coupon Code!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

Blissmo Beauty Box June 2014.jpeg
Blissmo Beauty Box June 2014

Those looking for green solutions to beauty should acquaint themselves with Blissmo because the products you can expect in their beauty boxes are solely organic and always eco-friendly featuring both familiar and emerging brands.  I got to experience what they had to offer once my June Blissmo beauty box arrived.

Each Blissmo beauty box sells for $19.95 plus $4.95 shipping with an estimated value of between $20 and $40. However, you are not obligated to buy monthly.  You can skip a month, if you don’t care for the choices when you are sent their usual monthly email.  Commit for six months and you can make out like a bandit with free shipping.

To give you a better idea of what you may expect to find in a typical monthly beauty offering from this company, take a look below at what I received and decide the value for yourself.

Blissmo Beauty Box for June 2014:

1.  Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream–Full Size (2 oz.)  Certified organic $12

2.  Ohana Organics Gardenia Amber Perfume–Full Size (1/6 oz.)–$9

3.  Red Bird Naturals Eye Opener–Full Size (½ oz.)–$12

4.  California Naturel (three sample packets of Gentle Cleansing Gel, Balancing Complex, Nourishing Cream) of unspecified size

5.  Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Collection (three sample packets of .07 fl. oz. each of Cleansing Gel, Age Defy Serum, Age Defy Moisturizer)

Blissmo must have read my mind because I had always wanted to try Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Hand Cream. This one was certified organic, which is important when you get those cracks in the skin so not to absorb any chemical cocktail into the blood. It also had a pleasant citrus smell, absorbed quickly, and left my hands softer while it soon healed the irritation.

Also, included were Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy samples with its organic fruit acid complex, peptides, DMAE, alpha lipoic acid, Vitamin C and CoQ10 for brightening, lightening and tightening my complexion.  With the luck that I had with this company’s hand cream, I was looking forward to trying these.  Full sizes of Green Apple Cleansing Gel retail for $26, the Age Defy Serum goes for $52, and the Age Defy Moisturizer sells for $45.

The Ohana Organics Gardenia Amber Perfume is a solid perfume that came sealed that I liked very much.  It was a lovely sweet floral with seductive amber to soften it.

California Naturel is a new brand to me that I am eager to explore.  Full size of the Balancing Complex for combination to oily skin retails for $45.  Full size of the Nourishing Cream for dry to normal skin also sells for $45 while the full size Cleansing Gel for all skin types goes for $33.

The Red Bird Naturals Eye Opener is both skin care for wrinkles and dark circles as well as a treatment for eyes in one product that can even help with tired and puffy eyes. Ingredients such as green tea, arnica, eyebright, herbs, apricot kernel and shea butter are in this light eye cream.
