How to Select the Hardest-Working Anti-Aging Skin Care

woman-considering-her-antiaging-skincare-choices.jpeg
This beauty is considering her former choices.

With all the different skin care products at your fingertips, it can be confusing when shopping for an anti-aging moisturizer.  Instead of randomly trusting magazine advertisements or television commercials that promise you’ll radiate that perfect glow just like one of their beautiful, airbrushed models, I have a more informative way to make that choice.

Read the Label Instead of Trusting Company Claims

The most helpful thing that you can do for you face is through reading the label for specific ingredients. For example, antioxidants are proven to reduce the influence of free radicals that come from exposure to the sun.  Some hardworking antioxidants that you might want to look for are ingredients such as grape seed, vitamin E ( tocopherol),  vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), niacinamide (vitamin B3), lycopene, green tea, pomegranate, acai, resveratrol, genistein, and coenzyme Q10.  Besides protecting your skin, they can also help reduce inflammation, improve the texture to rebuilding collagen.

Look for Specific Ingredients That Seal in Skin's Natural Moisture and Target Repair

What else that you should look for is ingredients to allow the skin to retain water to keep it moist.   After all, our complexions dry out just from the sun, products, too much cleansing, illness, skin disorders to the heating or cooling in our homes.  Ingredients such as ceramide, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA or lecithin are ones that work in much the same way as your own skin does to seal in that natural moisture.

Last, but not least are cell-communicating ingredients that specifically target the damage and kick in to repair with fresh, healthier cells.  Ingredients such as retinol and peptides definitely are ones to look for.

Ingredients Are Listed in Order of Importance

Also, keep in mind that ingredients are listed as to the amount each has in the formula.  Therefore, if you see an important ingredient nearly at the bottom of the list, then you’re not going to benefit much.  You might want to investigate another brand that lists that ingredients higher on the list.

Another suggestion that you may not think about is checking for any expiration date.  Some brands fail to stamp one on while others clearly state that for our reference.  As a rule, I avoid anti-aging brands that don’t share that expiration date with me.

The Container Can Give You a Clue As to How Much Light or Air Could Enter That Could Corrupt the Formula

To keep your anti-aging product as potent as possible, you also might want to check out what the jar, tube or bottle is like before buying.  A dark container keeps light out better than a clear one.  In the same thought, the size of the product’s opening should be considered since the wider the opening, the more air that can get into the product to compromise the formula.

Some Reasons for Your Complexion Being Extra Sensitive

kitten-snuggling-in-pink-blanket.jpeg
Pink is better for snuggling up with, but hardly the color from irritation that you want for your skin.

As one prone to allergies, my complexion can be extra sensitive at times.  Sometimes, a new product can cause redness, itchy skin, bumps or tightness.  Other times, products that you have used regularly can suddenly cause a reaction. Therefore, if you have been having trouble with an extra sensitive complexion lately, let me pass on some tips as to the reason and what to look for.

Consider your cleansing routine first.  Maybe you started a new cleanser or soap that left your face feeling tight and itchy.  The reason could be that the product has a harsh oil stripping agent like cocamidopropyl betaine, which is commonly found in foaming cleansers. This particular ingredient for some people can cause the tiniest  cracks that are hardly visible on the skin to allow irritants and bacteria easy passage.

Another trigger can be antiaging products, scrubs or peels.  Perhaps, you didn’t experience any initial burning, stinging, redness, tightness or itchy skin.  As I mentioned, those symptoms can happen at any time regardless of how many times that you successfully used the same product.  However, the real problem can be overuse of those products in your attempt to force results.  Read product directions and give them time to do their job to avoid this kind of irritation.

Sometimes, I find rotating antiaging products with powerful ingredients like retinol and alpha hydroxy acids with another night cream or serum helpful to minimize irritation. You might want to try this method to see how your complexion feels.

Something else that may have nothing to do with product sensitivity is battling a red face and flushing from rosacea.  This type of redness especially on the cheeks and nose could  be coming from too much blood to the skin instead of any product.  The amount of flushing could be worse after eating hot and spicy foods.  You might need to check with your dermatologist to make sure this is not the cause of your irritation.

If after using some products that your complexion is developing tiny, red bumps, this is a common allergy sign that you might want to blame on fragrances, artificial dyes or the preservatives in the product.  Try finding new skin care or cleansing products free of those ingredients can be all it takes to eliminate your sensitivity.

Hopefully, the advice that I shared will give you more insight into the likely causes and possible fixes for your skin’s sensitivity.

Why You Need to Reconsider How You Wash Your Face

pretty-skinned-woman.jpeg
If you want amazing skin like this beauty has, read today's post.

Everyone has their own routine for removing makeup and washing their face.  Perhaps, you find no problem with your method.  However, tweaking your routine just slightly could be all it takes to help your complexion flourish.

Maybe you are one that just rushes in to grab your waterproof makeup remover and a cotton ball or pad to take off your eye makeup.  Before you touch the bottle, cotton or your face, wash your hands first.  Otherwise, you could be transferring bacteria to the bottle and your stash of cotton balls or pads, not to mention your sensitive eyes.

Taking off your eye makeup and the rest of your cosmetics with another form of makeup remover like a cleansing oil is the first step before washing.  This is because waterproof makeup remover or cleansing oils are geared to totally dislodge hard to remove polymers that were formulated to hold up against moisture.  Soaps and the foaming facial cleansers won’t be totally able to penetrate the skin until this first barrier is breached.

Once you finish that initial cleansing, wash your hands again before testing the water temperature because you want it to be lukewarm, not hot before you finally wash with your favorite cleansing bar or a foaming cleanser. The problem with using too hot of water is that it harshly strips your skin’s natural oils, resulting in dryness or even broken capillaries, especially near the nose.

If you are ready to suds up with a foaming cleanser, you don’t want to overload your face with too much.  One-half teaspoon of the cleanser is sufficient to guard from recklessly stripping your complexion’s natural oils when you take it to your damp skin.  The important thing to remember is technique matters. Instead of just vigorously lathering with your hands, use circular motions while you work, keeping it up for no longer than 20-25 seconds.  The assumption that longer lathering time or more lather will improve your complexion is simply wrong.  All that you’re doing is causing irritation and redness to the skin.

Give the skin a thorough rinsing with cool, not cold water.  A quick splash is not good enough.  After all, you don’t want to leave a residue that can further alter your pH level.

Check your hairline because grime could get pushed in far corners in spots on the face that you might have missed.  If so, you might want to go over and wash that section again to avoid a possible breakout.

Pat dry with a fresh towel or wash cloth.  Resist the urge to reuse a towel that has made contact with your face and especially your body since it can be a breeding ground for bacteria.

As I constantly mention, I’m a strong believer in exfoliation because it is the step that catches imbedded makeup and grime from deep within the pores that daily cleansing misses while helping shed old cells to encourage fresh ones to surface.  Still, you don’t want to be excessive by exfoliating too often.  Once or twice a week is a safer way to do the deep cleaning and resurfacing and still get great results.

I hope you try what I suggest because the littlest changes can often make the biggest differences in what you’ll see in your mirror.  Trust me, but once you do that I promise that you will like what you see!

A Simple Beauty Fix to Get a Tired, Morning Complexion Off to a Glowing Start

woman in shadow.jpeg
This beauty can't decide where to start first.

I don’t know how beautiful you look the first thing in the morning, but I need a cup of coffee before facing a mirror since I am far from glamorous when I wake up.  Due to my allergies, my eyes often are puffy or I have under eye darkness that is worse on some days than others to paler skin.  Now that you know my ugly secret, then I’ll share what I’ve been doing lately to help revive puffiness and less than glowing skin.

After I cleanse my face, I rinse with cold water and pat delicately to dry.  If my eyes are exceptionally puffy, I head to the kitchen for cucumber or potato slices to place over my eyes. Sometimes, I wet and substitute a tea bag. All these methods help reduce swelling.

Before I think about makeup, I apply my moisturizer and gently massage it in using small, circular strokes.   I keep this light pressure up for about four or five minutes is enough to stimulation circulation and more blood flow to the face.  Afterwards, I carefully tap the moisturizer into my skin to best deliver it.

A few extra minutes devoted to lightly massaging your face helps relax the muscles and get the complexion off to a glowing start.  When those facial muscles are less tense, there is more softness to the face and in the appearance of lines.  Try what I suggest here and you’ll notice a pleasing difference!

Early Defensive Tactics to Take When Discovering Your First Facial Lines That Can Help

redhead-with-perfect-skin.jpeg
Here's proof of well-cared for skin.

Your complexion may be perfectly smooth and free of any signs of aging.  Though as wonderful as that may be, this facial perfection doesn’t last forever.  Sooner or later, everyone does get a turn experiencing these joys of growing older.  Once you start seeing those first fine lines is the time that you need some prompt action to push back the aging process.  Therefore, I have a few skin care tips that can help better defend your complexion.

One of the best things that you can do is to shop for skin care products that have glycolic acid and vitamin A (retinol) as ingredients.  Glycolic acid is so important because it is one of the best alpha-hydroxy acids for exfoliation and stimulating fresh skin cells to the surface.  The reason this is the primary AHA to look for is because glycolic acid has the tiniest size of molecules for the best penetration through the layers of the skin’s dermis.

Others alpha-hydroxy acids may have larger size molecules, but they too can benefit the skin, only not to the same extent as glycolic acid.  These include lactic acid from milk, tartaric acid from unripe grapes, citric acid from oranges and lemons, malic acid from apples and cherries, and mandelic acid from bitter almond.

Vitamin A (retinol) is a proven commodity for defying aging because it has the ability to thicken the skin and maintain collagen enough to firm up the look of wrinkles.  Using a product with retinol can only help make a face appear younger.

You also want to keep in mind that sunscreen in your products is just as important.  Make sure that your daily anti-aging moisturizer has at least 30 SPF broad-spectrum sunscreen component to protect from environmental damage from the sun.

Something else that you need to do is start using at home facial peels.  I prefer facial peel pads.  They are easy and can change the texture of your complexion without taking a lot of time and mess.

Here’s my secret to prevent any abuse to my skin when using facial peel pads.  Use one facial peel pad on your freshly washed face before storing it afterwards in a small, closed jar to use for three times.  You will be surprised at much better that your complexion will respond instead of  flooding it with too many harsh chemicals.  After all, the skin needs time to recover and renew.

For more helpful advice on defying the first signs of aging, you might want to read my posts on handling crow’s feet, some instant ways to turn back the aging clock, and more beauty secrets to hide age.  You can also check my sidebar in the labels section for additional information.

Those first wrinkles can really be depressing, but following my skin care tips can slow down the process.  Take my word for it and you will see, I promise!

Why a Facial Mask Is Vital for Improving Your Complexion

smiling-blonde.jpeg
This beauty knows the secret to luminous skin, but do you?

If you read me regularly, then you know how much importance I place on facial masks for beautifying a complexion.  Perhaps, you just think a mask is an extra step and hardly worth the trouble or expense.  However, the reason I regard them so highly is because facial masks can bring immediate concentrated help to a complexion compared to your regular products to speed up change or correct skin problems due to their potency.

The real trick of success with a facial mask involves several things.  Of course, you need to select one or turning to a DIY beauty recipe that is appropriate for what your complexion is currently experiencing.  This is just the start.

The second is not just randomly using one whenever you remember.  Schedule some time to pamper your face with your facial mask once a week. What I do is to schedule the date on my computer’s calender as a reminder.  This way I remember not to neglect my skin.

The third rule is making sure that you cleanse your face first and after the mask is applied that you leave it on long enough.  Rushing to take the mask off because it starts to get messy or because there is something that you may want to do will not benefit your face.  In fact, you are wasting money or ingredients while shortchanging your complexion.  Seriously, we’re all busy but allowing at least twenty or thirty minutes for pampering won’t be the end of your world.  This little break will help you relax and provide the time for that mask to finally do what your complexion needs to become its best.

I promise that if you just follow my advice that you will be happier with your complexion than you’re been in the past.

For more information on facial masks, you might want to read how to make the right decision on the mask type and facial mask shopping secrets.

The Dirty Truth About Facial Cleansers You May Be Unaware of!

Clinique foaming soap tube.jpeg
How much do you trust your favorite type of cleanser for purging those pores of ALL unwanted grime?

We all have our own favorite type of facial cleanser whether it is the convenience of face or makeup wipes, a creamy cleanser, oil cleanser or a foaming one from plain soap to a cleanser that rinses off with water.  Yet, do you know how well that particular preference of yours is cleaning everything off?

For instance, makeup wipes are fantastic when you’re exhausted and need the quickest way to remove a face load of products in one step.  The only problem is that you’re not really purging your pores of all traces of makeup and those cleanser ingredients that could be lingering on your face, despite what you see on that used wipe.

How to Relieve Extremely Dry, Scaly Skin Instead of Changing One Body Moisturizer After the Next!

pretty legs.jpeg
Once you learn how easy it might be to cure that dry skin problem, you'll kick up your soft, smooth legs in happiness!

I always make it a habit to moisturize immediately after a bath or shower while my skin is still damp.  This is the ideal time for the best absorption to seal in moisture.  However, if you found that you constantly need to switch from one body lotion, cream, milk or souffle because they weren’t relieving that very dry skin problem, then I have a suggestion for a way to remedy that.

A body moisturizer can only do so much for extremely dry skin that has become scaly and itchy, despite how high the price.  Thus, it is useless to keep buying a new product after the next.  Instead, what you need to do is to fix the problem at the source so whatever body moisturizer you intend to use will be able to break through that mass of dead skin to work.

Therefore, your best course of action is an exfoliating body scrub that sloughs off old, dead cells first before following up with that body moisturizer.  In fact, don’t be surprised at how well your current or older tubes or jars may work once you smooth the way for them to get access to your skin again.

A great one to try really is Look deVine Chablis Grapeseed Scrub and their Chablis Souffle, which I have used faithfully ever since it arrived for my earlier review with how that resveratrol formula works.  If nothing has been helping, these organic products may do the trick for you and you can get free shipping now until June 30 using my coupon code, nuts4stuff at checkout!

How to Better Judge Whether a Powerful Anti-Aging Product Is Working Or Irritating Your Skin!

anti-aging skin care.jpeg
Be skin care savvy when it comes to how exactly that anti-aging product is working!

We all know that many potent anti-aging ingredients that help cell turnover such as retinol, alpha hydroxy or beta hydroxy acids and vitamin C to name just a few are ones that can redden or be somewhat drying for a complexion.  Naturally, you might assume this is just the way this type of strong skin care acts to repair and make those beautiful improvements to our skin.

Of course, you are not mistaken to expect those signs when using those types of products.  However, the degree of that redness and the amount of irritation could indicate an allergy causing those skin changes, which is hardly beneficial to you.  Therefore, you might want to try this little test that you do just as you would before using at home hair coloring products to see if you’re allergic to it.

Wash and dry the inner part of the arm between the wrist and elbow where the veins are before rubbing on some of that particular product in that area. If you feel it strongly there with burning, itching or sudden redness, then chances are that you are experiencing an allergy to that product.  Immediately clean it off and stop using it.

On the other hand, you might want to try the advice that my allergist once told me. If you don’t notice anything happening, try using a moisturizer first and letting it dry completely before using a light coat just to skim the face every other day.  The moisturizer helps stop rapid absorption of those questionable ingredients so you evaluate your skin's reaction.

Still, your face may be red and irritated even with diluted levels of that product.  This means you are definitely allergic and need to stop using it because it is not good for you.

This post wasn’t meant to alarm, but make you aware that allergies can and do happen.  They can pop up even when you had no problems in the past when using the same product so keep this mind and be safe because redness, itching and swelling are far from beautiful!

Useful Skin Care Tips You Should Take to Heart If You Have an Oily Complexion!

My skin used to get quite oily, especially around the T-zone.  If you have an oily complexion, you know the story of how often you would be washing your face and scrubbing just to feel clean. However, I wasn’t helping the problem by what I was doing.  Therefore, I even went a step further and always followed up with a deep cleaning product.

Of course, I thought I needed more cleaning power to zap up that oil.  My belief was a strong cleaner with ingredients such as menthol or mint that you apply with a cotton ball could more thoroughly solve the problem after and in between washing my face.

I assumed that slight tingling feeling that followed was because that cleaner was working deep into the pores, but it was a sign of irritation.  That tingling was my skin crying out in protest. Instead of improving my skin’s situation, I was overstimulating it enough to trigger more oil, not less with washing it too often and using deep cleaners that produced that refreshing sort of feeling.

Learn by my example.  Don’t wash your face so often or trust the feel of those refreshing deep cleansers working for your skin’s benefit.  Ingredients to be wary of also are eucalyptus or any cleaner with SD or denatured alcohol.

How to Reduce Your Risk of Eye Irritation When Selecting Eye Creams for Those With Sensitive Eyes!

sad blue eye.jpeg
The form of skin care that you select for the eye area should be thought out carefully.

When your eyes are sensitive and have a tendency to get irritated from allergies or from a health condition such as dry eyes, it can spoil both your day and appearance.  Before you know it, those eyes can change from beautiful to inflamed with redness, itching and an avalanche of tears.  Therefore, I thought you would appreciate how you might better steer clear of possible eye irritation when selecting skin care products for the delicate under eye area.

Instead of heavier eye creams, I suggest starting out with a lighter consistency serum.  The reason a serum is a better bet against risking irritation is because it won’t sit on top of the skin as long as a faster absorbing, thinner serum.  Of course, your eyes could still react to any ingredient in a serum as much as the cream, but you’ll have less chance of accidentally touching that eye product like an unabsorbed cream since it already sunk into the skin.

Another consideration that makes a huge difference is avoiding eye skin care products that have fragrances. Fragrance so close to your eyes is unnecessary.  Look for eye products without fragrance, which is a safer bet from stirring up trouble.

If you’re also tempted to use your current facial anti-aging cream or moisturizer, I strongly advise against it. Those products are not meant for the eye area since they may be too harsh with ingredients to exfoliate and encourage cell turnover, a bad move considering the frail, thin skin of your under eye area.  With that said, an eye serum for those with sensitivities is my recommended way to go.

How to Get Better Results From Your Skin Care Moisturizers and Treatments!

moisturizer with pump.jpeg
Know how to get the most benefits from skin care products that you buy can make a difference to your complexion.

If you want to keep your complexion thriving, then you have a better chance by saving your day creams and anti-aging moisturizers that have less active ingredients and SPF protection for daytime use.  Basically, these are lighter duty products that help keep the skin comfortable and safe from the harmful effects of the sun.

However, nights are a different matter.  You can get the most complexion benefits from your night creams and eye serums when the body is at sleep.  The skin warms and helps activate the more powerful active ingredients that also renew cells.

woman with beautiful complexion.jpeg
This beauty takes her skin care seriously and it shows!

I have been asked what my secret is for beautiful skin.  If you’re hoping to improve the look of your complexion, then let me share some essential skin care tips that definitely can help you as much as it does for me.

To begin with, there is no magical one beauty cream that can change what heredity has dealt you as far as your complexion is concerned.  Use a formula of a moisturizer or anti-aging cream geared to your complexion type to nourish it properly.  Make sure that your skin care has active ingredients like retinol and moisturizing hyaluronic acid for helping stimulate collagen and cell turnover for younger skin.

Decrease Excessive Facial Redness and Shrink Pores With This DIY Toner!

cup of green tea.jpeg
You don't have to spend a lot for effective skin care.

I do not have excessive redness in my complexion, but my mother does.  However, a friend of hers shared this simple recipe to calm the skin down that does seem to make a difference helping with some of the redness while also shrinking pores.  Therefore, I wanted to share in case your skin could also benefit.

All you need is to brew up a strong cup of green tea.  Allow it to cool before you’ll take a few cotton balls or a cotton round and wipe over your face.  Store in your refrigerator and apply as needed.

This beauty trick may surprise you in how well it works to deal with this issue.  I know that it really shocked us because it seems to do more than some of the toners she was using.

Here’s Some Useful Advice If Your Skin Care Products Are Suddenly Disappointing You!

smiling woman in jacket.jpeg
This beauty is thrilled at how to make her skin care more effective.

Have you been disappointed after using a skin care product that did wonderful things for your face and then stopped delivering the same results?  You are stumped checking the product’s expiration date because the ingredients are still active.  However, let me clue you into why this could be happening.

Your skin can react to those active skin care ingredients just like your body does to certain medications with regular use by building a tolerance so they’re less effective.  To remedy this, you might want to try rotating with another skin care product or change over to that new one completely.

Another explanation for your frustration with that skin care product may also be linked to changes in the weather more than the product itself. What I’m saying is the same skin care product that you used in the summer may be too lightweight of lubrication to satisfy your skin during another season, especially the harsh winter conditions that can dry and rob skin of moisture and vice versa.  You may need to switch your formula of skin care to keep up with the climate.

If you keep these points in mind, I promise that your skin will thrive again!

Now Is the Time to Start Preparing Your Skin for Winter!

**Disclaimer:  This is a sponsored post for EOS.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**

pretty woman with hat surrounded by leaves.jpeg
This beauty knows what it takes to maintain that gorgeous complexion.  The question is, do you?

Before you know it, the cold weather outside will soon force us to turn up the temperatures inside.  Though this action seems innocent enough, that heat starts the cycle of the skin losing normal moisture.  The fact is the older that you are, the drier your skin will experience this increased dryness due to the dermis producing less sebum for needed natural moisture that oil glands once supplied.  In order to protect your skin from suffering this winter from excessive dryness, then take these skin care tips to heart.

Just like the seasons, our skin does change as well in reaction to the weather.  You may still be using a lighter moisturizer that carried you through warm, humid summer weather, but you may want to start shopping for a heavier formulation to handle the colder days ahead.  My advice is trading your water-based moisturizer for an oil-based one with plenty of non-clogging oils like avocado, borage, grape seed, jojoba, olive or almond oils.  You can also try hunting for moisturizers rich in humectants like hyaluronic acid, AHAs, urea, glycerin for their abilities in pulling water from the atmosphere before binding it the skin, which may feel more lightweight, especially as a lotion.

How to Better Preserve the Integrity of Your Skin Care Products!

cotton swabs.jpeg
You may want to stock up on cotton swabs after you read this!

With the amount of money that we invest in our skin care regimes, we want to make sure the formulas of those pricey products don’t break down prematurely.  Therefore, I am going to show you a few tricks to better protect those products in the healthiest state possible so you can keep on using them safely.

Once you open a jar of skin cream, you are introducing the product to bacteria from the air and then your fingers when you apply.  If you want to minimize contamination, then I suggest skip dipping your fingers in.   Instead, load up a pretty container with a package of cotton swabs to keep on your vanity for this purpose. Using a fresh cotton swab is far more sanitary than fingers for keeping your skin care products germ-free.

Another thing that I like to do is refrigerate my products, especially during the heat of summer.  Just remember that the hotter it is, the faster those formulations can deteriorate.  This is especially true for water-based products.  Thus, the best way to safeguard those creams, lotions or serums is to keep them cold for sustaining the life of the product.

By making these two simple changes to how you apply and store your skin care, you will improve its shelf-life and the beauty of your complexion with less chance of using any tainted products!

How to Get More Skin Help From Your Moisturizers Regardless of Complexion Type!

smiling businesswoman with perfect skin.jpeg
You'll be smiling too once you tweak your moisturizing routine and power it up.

Every complexion has special needs if you want it to look its best.  Therefore, you want to keep your skin happy by moisturizing it with a plan suited to your individual complexion type instead of just slathering on a product or a method that could be delaying beautiful results.

If you have a dry complexion like mine, you’ll boost the power of your moisturizer before you apply by simply leaving your freshly washed face slightly damp or giving it a light spray with rosewater first.  Once you do this, you will be allowing the moisturizer to lock the water into the skin far better than you may imagine for superior hydration.

Are You Confused About How to Pick Out the Proper Clay Mask for Your Skin Type?

oriental woman.jpeg
This beauty now has a better appreciation in what a clay mask can do for her complexion.

Most of us associate a clay mask for help drawing out the impurities and zapping excessive oil deeply imbedded in oily skin. Nonetheless, I found using a lesser strength formula with a dry complexion is just as important for extracting any accumulated grime and makeup that can be lingering just as it would be for a normal skin type. However, there is a trick to deciphering clays in order to make the best selection based on your skin type that you should be aware of.

If you have oily skin or tend to break out, then you need powerful clay such as bentonite, Fuller’s Earth, French green or rhassoul.  Any of these in the mask formula that you are considering will help absorb the most oil and give your skin the deepest clean.

Of course, you can have dry skin like mine.  Being the case, look for ingredients like rhassoul or white kaolin clays.  Those are the gentlest varieties of clay that won’t overly irritate sensitive skin, if used occasionally.  I use one every two or three weeks and keep it on for about 10-12 minutes, which is enough time for it to dry and do its job.

Then again, you may have a normal complexion.  If so, you can be comfortable and have great results with any clay formula regardless of the particular variety.

Hopefully, you’ll be better prepared for your next shopping trip on understanding the varieties of clay and what it could mean for your skin type.  The wrong clay could explain why you may not have had any success, but now you’ll know your perfect clay that will gently exfoliate, tighten pores and absorb as much or as little oil as you need when cleaning out those pores.

Are You Using the Right Type of Exfoliants to Best Safeguard Your Complexion?

woman's partial face.jpeg
This beauty now understands the value of  the best exfoliation methods.

Exfoliation is an important step toward the goal of beautiful skin.  The reason you should never neglect it is because when you don’t remove dead cells every so often, they accumulate on the surface to produce a dull complexion.  Shedding the old cells stimulates fresh skin to emerge for a younger, more radiant complexion. Still, if you don’t want to damage your skin, then you need to careful of the product but also how often that you exfoliate.
