Here is  a photo of  Beauty Box 5 for December 2014.

This month’s Beauty Box 5 revolves around indulgences to make the holidays even brighter with the assortment of products geared to do the trick.

If you’re unfamiliar with this monthly beauty subscription, then let me fill you in.  Each box usually has four to five beauty items from full sizes to samples.  The cost is $12 a month with free shipping, but you can reduce that price significantly if you get an annual subscription that brings it to a mere $8.25 a month.

As to what arrived, I won’t keep you in suspense any longer.  Here is what I received in this new beauty box below.

Beauty Box 5 December 2014

1.  Jaqua Rose Bouquet Hydrating Facial Mist–FULL SIZE (1.69 fl. oz.)–$16.50

2.  Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads–FULL SIZE (32 pads)–$2.99

3.  Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Moisturizer–SAMPLE (.26 fl. oz.)–$9.94

4.  Nanacoco Nail Polish–FULL SIZE–$3.95

5.  Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 Perfume–SAMPLE (unspecified size)

Total Estimated Value–$33.38!

The Jaqua Rose Facial Mist was a hit with me.  I regularly use a rose facial mist year round after cleansing before moisturizing.  Sometimes, I also like to spray some on after I do my makeup and press a tissue over it.  This really does wonders for giving you a fresher look and does keep your makeup lasting longer.

The Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads I got were the Peach scented pads. This worked very well for removing polish, but you can still also smell the stronger chemicals along with the peach.  I still liked this product.

The Nanacoco Nail Polish was Summer Nigh Festival, a mix of purple and blue glitter.  I didn’t try this yet, but it does look pretty in the bottle.  I will paint my nails soon.

I do adore organic skin care.  I didn’t get a chance to test this new Juice Beauty Moisturizer because I am currently involved in another skin care project, but this one is already on my vanity waiting.

The Lucky Brand Lucky Number 6 perfume sample was a lovely woody-floral with just enough spice to add to the magic.  I only wish we could have gotten a larger sample.

To sum it up, I would label December 2014 a good month!  Don’t you agree?

Blissmo Beauty Box June 2014

Those looking for green solutions to beauty should acquaint themselves with Blissmo because the products you can expect in their beauty boxes are solely organic and always eco-friendly featuring both familiar and emerging brands.  I got to experience what they had to offer once my June Blissmo beauty box arrived.

Each Blissmo beauty box sells for $19.95 plus $4.95 shipping with an estimated value of between $20 and $40. However, you are not obligated to buy monthly.  You can skip a month, if you don’t care for the choices when you are sent their usual monthly email.  Commit for six months and you can make out like a bandit with free shipping.

To give you a better idea of what you may expect to find in a typical monthly beauty offering from this company, take a look below at what I received and decide the value for yourself.

Blissmo Beauty Box for June 2014:

1.  Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream–Full Size (2 oz.)  Certified organic $12

2.  Ohana Organics Gardenia Amber Perfume–Full Size (1/6 oz.)–$9

3.  Red Bird Naturals Eye Opener–Full Size (½ oz.)–$12

4.  California Naturel (three sample packets of Gentle Cleansing Gel, Balancing Complex, Nourishing Cream) of unspecified size

5.  Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Collection (three sample packets of .07 fl. oz. each of Cleansing Gel, Age Defy Serum, Age Defy Moisturizer)

Blissmo must have read my mind because I had always wanted to try Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Hand Cream. This one was certified organic, which is important when you get those cracks in the skin so not to absorb any chemical cocktail into the blood. It also had a pleasant citrus smell, absorbed quickly, and left my hands softer while it soon healed the irritation.

Also, included were Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy samples with its organic fruit acid complex, peptides, DMAE, alpha lipoic acid, Vitamin C and CoQ10 for brightening, lightening and tightening my complexion.  With the luck that I had with this company’s hand cream, I was looking forward to trying these.  Full sizes of Green Apple Cleansing Gel retail for $26, the Age Defy Serum goes for $52, and the Age Defy Moisturizer sells for $45.

The Ohana Organics Gardenia Amber Perfume is a solid perfume that came sealed that I liked very much.  It was a lovely sweet floral with seductive amber to soften it.

California Naturel is a new brand to me that I am eager to explore.  Full size of the Balancing Complex for combination to oily skin retails for $45.  Full size of the Nourishing Cream for dry to normal skin also sells for $45 while the full size Cleansing Gel for all skin types goes for $33.

The Red Bird Naturals Eye Opener is both skin care for wrinkles and dark circles as well as a treatment for eyes in one product that can even help with tired and puffy eyes. Ingredients such as green tea, arnica, eyebright, herbs, apricot kernel and shea butter are in this light eye cream.

If you want a healthier alternative to commercial brands in caring for your skin and body, then I suggest checking out Blissmo’s website.

Here’s something exciting that I want to add.  If you enter coupon code blissmokm when you sign up, Nuts 4 Stuff readers will save $10 at checkout!
