How to Energize Tired Feet After All That Holiday Shopping!

tired sitting woman.jpeg
This beauty was almost afraid of how she would finish shopping until finding help in this post.

Some prefer to let their fingers do the walking instead of feet with key strokes on the computer to shop for their holiday gifts.  Nonetheless, if you prefer the old-fashioned method of shopping at brick and mortar stores, then your feet might be suffering and feeling more tired than usual.  Even though you still have more physical shopping left to do, here is the help you need to recharge those feet so you can finish without complaint.

Before you begin to shop for others, do a kindness for yourself.  Make a pit stop to a drug store or whatever you buy your beauty products and browse foot moisturizers and scrubs.  Look for ones with foot reviving ingredients like rosemary, mint, peppermint essential oil, eucalyptus, and citrus.  Formulas that contain any of those ingredients can make a difference to energize those tired feet again!

Try This Easy Fix When Your Feet Are Killing You at Work

Golf ball.jpeg
What does a golf ball have to do with painful feet?  Read on because this little ball may hold the clue to relieve your suffering.

As women, we tend to be drawn to beautiful, but sometimes painful shoes just for the sake of looking stylish. Yet, this obsession to look good can affect our feet through the day with heel or arch pain and even foot cramps once in the office.  However, I found a quick way to get some relief that comes in handy when you’re suffering at your desk.

I suggest bringing a golf ball with you to work and keep it in your desk drawer.  When you feet begin to kill you, take out your golf ball and place it beneath your desk.  Now slip one shoe off a time and start slowly rubbing your foot back and forth over the golf ball to massage it.  Do this simple exercise for a few minutes and then rotate with the other foot.  Working these tight muscles in this way helps relieve the tension and lessen that torturous pain.

Even if you work in an open office with others, you can still be discreet and benefit without disrupting your duties or attracting attention.  I do I hope that you try this trick because it does help and will definitely put you in a better mood.

Later at home, you also might want to try soaking those feet in my wonderful DIY foot fix recipe and before bedtime read my earlier post for additional soothing.  If you have swollen feet also to contend with, do read this other piece I did as well because it does make a wonderful difference.

Here’s Quick Relief for Tired, Sore Feet After Walking All Day in High Heels!

Though heels are gorgeous and do make legs look longer, they can leave you hurting if walking in them all day.  Instead of continuing to suffer in silence just for the sake of fashion, I am here to help rescue your poor, abused feet.

You can start by getting a clean basin and pouring in three tablespoons of white or apple cider vinegar to three tablespoons of Epsom salt before filling it with enough warm water to soak your feet in.  Keep the feet immersed for at least fifteen minutes.

The acidity in the vinegar will help disinfect the feet and soften the skin while the Epsom salt will tend to the swelling and increase circulation.

After you shower and are getting ready for bed, I recommend rubbing your sore feet with a thick coat of Vicks VapoRub and slip into a pair of socks.  Once you wake up, you will need to wash your feet but you will feel like were treated to the best massage of your life!

By the way, this VicksVapoRub treatment done in the same way for your feet and covering them with socks through the night, is also said to help control a cough.  I never tested that particular home remedy for myself, but I thought to pass it on just in case you might have one.
