L’Occitane’s Aromachologie Refreshing Aromatic Deodorant Review

Aromachologie Refreshing Aromatic Deodorant.jpeg
With all the health risks associated with aluminum compounds, you may want to switch from antiperspirant to deodorant.

With all the health concerns related to chemicals in the products we use, deodorant shouldn’t be one of them that we need to worry about.  Yet, aluminum compounds have been linked to breast cancer and possibly Alzheimer’s disease.  Therefore, you might be like me and want to swap out that riskier antiperspirant/deodorant for a safer natural deodorant like L’Occitane’s new Aromachologie Refreshing Aromatic Deodorant that I got to try.

This citrus scented product is a milky-colored roll-on that was very gentle when I put it to the test.  With its essential oils, this deodorant did keep me fresh through my normal day without letting me down.

If you’re looking to limit your health risk from antiperspirant/deodorants, I suggest visiting your local L’Occitane boutique or the company’s website and ordering Aromachologie Refreshing Aromatic Deodorant ($20).

L'Occitane's Aromachologie Rebalancing Massage Cream.jpeg
L';Occitane's Rebalancing Massage Cream

For those times when you're stressed but also extra tired from your grueling day, your regular body lotion or oil may not be enough to revive both the body and mind.  However, you may be interested in learning more of what I’ve just been using from L’Occitane with their Aromachologie Rebalancing Massage Cream because this natural formula used in spas may help change that for you as it did for me.

As with other Aromachologie products, the Rebalancing Massage Cream has rousing aromatherapy benefits in its light, but invigorating herbal scent delivered from its five essentials oils of cypress, juniper, lemon, thyme, and eucalyptus to rebalance the senses.  It also has horse chestnut tree extract, which helps stimulate microcirculation in the skin to bring it more oxygen among its other wonderful ingredients.

This aromatherapy-powered cream has a white, gel-like texture that is quick to absorb once it touches your skin.  The areas that I rubbed felt like velvet in how smooth my hand ran over it without excess greasiness only satisfying moisture.

I can’t say that this cream dissolved every care and ache away, but it was a pleasant experience in how it smoothed and soothed me entirely.  I will keep using it without question because it is a nice way to get a lift after a hard day.  Try L’Occitane’s Rebalancing Massage Cream ($38) for yourself and you’ll understand what I’m talking about in how it can revive so you feel like yourself again.

Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Eau de Toilette

What a refreshing way to treat yourself or those on your holiday gift list than indulging in something sinfully delicious like  L’Occitane’s two newly launched limited edition fragrance and body care collections inspired by pastry chef, Pierre Herme and his recollections of summers in Corsica.

Pamplemousse Rhubarbe Eau de Toilette ($62) is not your typical fruity-citrus, but a heavenly aromatic fragrance with a crisp, yet sparkling citrus and herbal zing to it with top notes of grapefruit, rhubarb, lemon, and cypress.  As it warms in the heart, this light blast of freshness is curbed by notes of spicy clove, nutmeg and lavender, which beautifully gives the blend its intriguing sensual appeal.  The fragrance deliberately taunts, flaunting its confidence in its daring invitation until it dries down in the base with heated promises of what is yet to come with its notes of cedar and vetiver.

Jasmin Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette.jpeg
Jasmin Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette
The Jasmin Immortelle Neroli Eau de Toilette ($62) is  luminous floral with baked in lemony sweetness that smells so delectable and yet elegant.  It opens with bright top notes of lemon, pink pepper and petit grain before it warms in the heart with jasmine, immortelle and neroli to sprinkle the floral with more juicy freshness.  As it dries down in the base with notes of amber, white woods and musk, it becomes softly seductive.

If you love sweets and don’t want to worry about calories, you should try these two new L’Occitane fragrances of Pamplemousse Rhubarbe and Jasmin Immortelle Neroli because they would make a wonderful gift for yourself or those on your holiday gift list!

Review: L’Occitane en Provence’s Almond Supple Skin Oil

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
L'Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil.jpeg
If angels wore a scent, I think L'Occitane en Provence's Almond Supple Skin Oil could be it.

With colder weather ahead, you may want to start thinking about moisturizing your body more often to protect your skin before dryness has a chance to set in.  My favorite way is indulging with a wonderful hydrator like a luxurious oil that also has an amazing fragrance such as L’Occitane en Provence’s Almond Supple Skin Oil that makes me smell almost delectable as it does satiny smooth all over.

This is a clean, inviting, but gentle scent that instantly appeals to your senses as much as it does to the touch with the softness if leaves behind.  This product absorbed beautifully once applied to still damp, freshly showered skin, scenting as well as nourishing every inch of me with that luscious fragrance and its rich almond oil, omega 6 and camelina oils in the process.

If you want lasting moisture to maintain your skin to its ultimate beauty advantage along with one that makes you smell heavenly, I recommend L’Occcitane en Provence’s Almond Supple Skin Oil ($44).  Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Review: My Sensitive Skin Loves L’Occitane en Provence’s Angelica Hydra Vital Cream!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
L’Occitane's Angelica Hydra Vital Cream.jpeg
L'Occitane's Angelica Hydra Vital Cream

This is the time of year that I love for the weather, but not for my skin due to all the different pollens in the air.  Lately, my face felt irritated from just about everything that I normally use.  One bottle and jar after the next kept getting pushed aside even ones meant for sensitive skin were still not helping soothe the hurt.  The only thing that had been easing my discomfort was milk applied directly after I washed, but you can’t wear a coat of milk all day. Therefore, you can’t imagine my relief when that jar of Angelica Hydra Vital Cream from L’Occitane en Provence showed up at my door.

This is a light cream that absorbed beautifully and brought lasting relief almost instantly.  Besides how it calmed my agitated skin with its angelica essential oil and water, this refreshing cream provided wonderful hydration without an excess shine or a greasy feel to my face.  The more that I used the Angelica Hydra Vital Cream ($44), the more that my complexion seemed to thrive with new vitality and softness.  Despite this not being an anti-aging cream, I noticed how well this product performed even to help plump up some lines.

Take it from me, if you are suffering and are running out of options on how to soothe sensitive skin, L’Occitane en Provence’s Angelica line deserves your attention. The Angelica Hydra Vital Cream helps tenderly care for skin while enhancing your complexion’s radiance at the same time.  I can’t think of anything better, can you?

Review: Citrus Verbena Eau de Toilette and Shower Gel from L’Occitane en Provence--A Wonderful Feel Good Scent for Summer!

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
Citrus Verbena Eau de Toilette and Shower Gel.jpeg
Citrus Verbena Eau de Toilette and Shower Gel

Summer is the time you want a lighter fragrance to properly embrace the season.  If you want one fitting for the task, L’Occitane en Provence’s Citrus Verbena Eau de Toilette is as an airy ode to cool freshness that can do it in style. The sheer beauty of this citrus fragrance may be just the ideal blend for you once the barometer climbs.

The fragrance opens with a brisk start with top notes of grapefruit and lemon.  The combination seems to give your senses a crisp jolt of freshness.

As the scent further warms, the lemon verbena note in the heart kicks in.  This makes for a sweet transition to curb the sourness to soon turn the mix into something delectable like a lemon treat to tempt you with.

Once the fragrance begins to dry down, it becomes even more heavenly as the cedar emerges in this base. The cedar adds the ultimate touch giving a soft muskiness to the green and citrus resulting in a delicate fresh herbal clean that is captivating and so easy to wear.

I also got to try the Citrus Verbena Shower Gel, which is delightful with its organic verbena and grapefruit extracts besides lemon oil for starting or ending a warm day.

Check out the Citrus Verbena Collection at L’Occitane en Provence, including the new Citrus Verbena Eau de Toilette.  If you want a good deal, the Citrus Verbena Summer Fragrance normally retails for $58 but is now on sale for $46 for the 5.1 oz. bottle while the Shower Gel sells for $20 for 8.4 oz.

This fragrance opens with an invigorating burst of citrus as the top notes of bergamot and cedrat bark collide.  You can almost feel the energy as those notes blend before the fragrances falls into a happy alignment

As it warms in the heart, spicy notes of nutmeg and blue ginger fascinate and intrigue with a relaxed, but confident masculine appeal.  There is a freshness to the blend that keeps it interesting and comfortable.

By the time the fragrance dries down in the base, its notes of cedar and cashmere wood allow it to seduce with elegance.

If you are wondering what to buy that important man in your life for Father’s Day, then you may find L’Occitane en Provence’s new Cedrat Collection for men worth checking out when it debuts to the public on June 8, 2015.  The scent is a light, but masculine blend of energizing citrus and wood notes with a touch of refining sweetness that would be fitting for summer.

I was sent the Cedrat Shower Gel ($20) and the Cedrat Body Soap ($7).  The lines also will include Cedrat After Shave ($34), Deodorant ($18), Shaving Gel ($20), Pure Cleanser Energizing Scrub ($22), Face Gel ($42), and the Cedrat Eau de Toilette ($55).

Ladies, this is not a cloying “he-man” fragrance that is so strong that you will want to escape the room. Cedrat is quite pleasant and inviting without bombarding your senses when being around the wearer.

Review + Swatches: Behold the Unfolding Beauty of L’Occitane en Provence’s Pivoine Flora Fragrance/Body Care and Sublime Line Collection!

Disclaimer: This post is based on a free product provided by a company as a press sample so that I may offer my own opinion, which may be the same or differ from yours.

L'Occitane's new Pivoine (Peony) Collection.jpeg
Discover the magic of  the peony flower with L'Occitane's new Pivoine Collection.

L’Occitane en Provence expanded their bewitching Pivoine Flora (Peony) Fragrance and Body Care line with an official launch on May 11, 2015 and will now include peony-based skin care and cosmetics with their Pivoine Sublime products.

The scent of their Pivoine Eau de Toilette is something exquisite for how fresh and green this fragrance fully showcases the sweet floral beauty of the peony. Read my review to feel how its notes of black currant, bergamot, pink pepper, peony, freesia, white sandalwood, musk and peach work so perfectly together.

I had reviewed other Pivoine Body Care products like the Pivoine Flora Beauty Cream and the Shimmering Oil, but I never got to try the Bath Gel until it recently arrived with the products for this review.  I do warn you that when you get into the tub with the Pivoine Flora Shower Gel ($20), then you will not want to get out. The scent is so intoxicating that you will keep on lingering until others pound on the door of the bathroom to check if you have, indeed, drowned. This should tell you how long you may be tempted enjoying those captivated scented bubbles that leave skin hydrated and delicately scented, making the ideal base for that Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette ($55).

What if I told you that L’Occitane managed to harvest even more beauty out of that flower with their new line of Sublime skin care and cosmetics?   I received a few of those new products for this review as well.

L'Occitane's Pivoine Sublime CC Cream (left) and Perfecting Cream (right).jpeg
L'Occitane's Pivoine Sublime CC Cream (left) and Perfecting Cream (right).

These products utilize peony extract with their specially developed Perfecting Peony Complex along with mineral-based pigments and pearlizers, hyaluronic acid, chestnut extract and natural powders.

I got the Pivoine Sublime CC Cream ($34) in Light.  This is a white, hydrating cream base that develops its color once on the skin.  I wasn’t sure how much coverage it would provide, but it smoothed and radiated such a lovely, natural glow that it distracted the eye from fine lines and wrinkles. With the way this can brighten and illuminate, you can wear it under your makeup or just alone and it will perk up a dull complexion beautifully!

Another joy to use was the Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream ($42).  With my allergies, my complexion is extra sensitive at this time of year.  However, I am happy to report I had no problem with any irritation because it left quite a comforting feel that felt silky and nicely moisturized when I stroked my face.

L'Occitane's Pivoine Sublime Lip Balms.jpeg
Here are two of L'Occitane's new Pivoine Sublime Lip Balms.  Rose Plum  is one the left and Rose Nude is on the right.

My lips were not neglected either.  I got to test out two of the new Pivoine Sublime Lip Balms ($16) in Rose Nude ( sheer glowing, soft pink)  and Rose Plum (deeper pink-plum).   This product quenches dry lips with soothing hydration and a sheerer wash of color.  It does have a slight peony scent as well.

L'Occitane's Pivoine Sublime Lip Balms swatches.jpeg
I swatched the Pivoine Sublime Lip Balms for you.  The Rose Nude is on the left and the Rose Plum is on the right.

There is also a Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Essence ($48) and a Perfecting Mist ($24) in the line, which sound worth checking out.  Do visit L’Occitane and browse the new Pivoine products because they are quite nice!

L’Occitane en Provence’s Limited-Edition Fleurs de Cerisier L’Eau Collection Review

**Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
L’Occitane en Provence’s Limited-Edition Fleurs de Cerisier Eau de Toilette.jpeg
L'Occitane en Provence's Fleurs de Cerisier Eau de Toilette ($45)

Despite this exceptionally cold weather we have been experiencing this year, I have a secret of how to bring about Spring.  All that is required is L’Occitane en Provence’s  Limited Edition Fleurs de Cerisier L’Eau Collection. As always, the company put their magical touch once again to cherries from Southern France for Spring, 2015 in another new cherry fruity-floral blend that is airy fresh and sunny enough to cast a warmth over you.

Unlike the original Fleurs de Cerisier Eau de Toilette ($45), this fragrance is fruitier with a delightful amount of tartness as it opens from lemon and black currant notes washing their luscious juices over the sweeter notes of watermelon.  This delicious nectar, slowly reigning down upon the cherry blossom, rose, orchid, and white flowers is the key that magnificently sets off the floral heart in this very feminine fragrance, drawing out their combined sweet essences in the process.  As this fragrance dries down, it does it with such inviting grace due to a lovely mix of cedar, sandalwood, and white musk that you can’t help but feel appealing wearing it.

The Fleurs de Cerisier Fragrance Touch ($22) is a fabulous form of this fragrance in a gel that disperses from the tube.  This clear, but glorious cherry essence lasts wonderfully for hours with just a small dab!

L'Occitane en Provence's Fleurs de Cerisier Fragrance Touch ($22)

The Fleurs de Cerisier L’Eau Moisturizing Milk ($25) will make your skin feel as soft and sweet as those cherry blossom petals.  I adored applying this fragrant lotion  and loved how easily it sunk into my skin.

L'Occitane en Provence's Fleurs de Cerisier L'Eau Moisturizing Milk ($25)

L’Occitane en Provence’s shea butter hand creams are excellent for healing rough, chapped hands and my hands always welcome them.  This new Fleurs de Cerisier L’Eau Hand Cream ($12) is another fragrant addition to a very effective formula that you can count on both.

If there is is a fragrance that can almost cast you in its sunny brightness, it is this one from L’Occitane en Provence.  Do check the Fleurs de Cerisier L'Eau Collection while you can because it is a limited edition that you don't want to miss!

L’Occitane en Provence’s 28 Day Divine Renewal Program Review + ($130) Giveaway!–Ends March 10, 2015

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
L'Occitane en Provence's 28 Day Divine Renewal Program.jpeg
L'Occitane en Provence's 28 Day Divine Renewal Program

Despite the wisdom you get through the years, you hear some women say how proud they are of each wrinkle they also got along the way.  I am not one of them so how could I refuse L’Occitane en Provence’s offer to put their new 28 Day Divine Renewal Program to the test with hopes of erasing any accumulated time off of my face?

This skin care system to help turn back the years is a four week program that uses daily ampules of concentrated essential immorelle oil plus other active ingredients to target specific anti-aging purposes during the skin’s 28 day life cycle.

L’Occitane en Provence’s 28 Day Divine Renewal Program in Opened Box.jpeg
This is what the inside of L'Occitane en Provence's 28 Day Divine Renewal Program looks like.

The first week is Gentle Exfoliation and uses pistacia lentiscus essential oil to start this kinder sort of peeling process.

The second week is Hydration & Nutrition utilizes four plant oils with the immortel flower’s cistus essential oil for improving texture.

The third week is Balance whereas myrtle and rosemary essential oils are added to the immortel mix for their rebalancing properties.

The fourth week is Renewal with immortelle, carrot and cypress essential oils to tweak the anti-aging effects with additional smoothness.

According to the directions, you are advised to empty the entire dose into the palms of your hands and rub to heat it before inhaling and then applying the oil in an upward motion while avoiding the eye area.  It was also recommended to do this before bed.

In my experience, I found trying to use the single dose in that way was entirely too much oil for the skin to absorb in at once, even for my dry skin.  Instead, I had better luck applying some in the morning, allowing it to sink into the skin, then adding more and saving the rest for the evening.  In doing so, you won’t be greasy looking and can go about your day.  Also, do follow up with a moisturizer because you may feel that your skin is pulling slightly as it works.

By the end of the first week, I started seeing some small changes.  My skin had a bit more radiance for one. My pores also appeared slightly smaller to my eye.

Over the course of weeks, I noticed how nicely my pores were taking shape daily, shrinking in size.  By the time I finished, my complexion gained a beautiful texture overhaul, which I think is amazing.

I wish I could tell you that this system also did away with all lines and wrinkles, but it would be untrue.  It did plump them up and even made the two deeper ones I have on the sides near my mouth look much better, but it did not erase them from my face.

What I love the most about L’Occitane en Provence’s 28 Day Divine Renewal Program is what it did for boosting the health and texture of my complexion.  If this is your complexion goal, then by all means try this system because that’s what you will get.

Thanks to L’Occitane en Provence, one lucky Nuts 4 Stuff reader in the United States will win L'Occitane en Provence's 28 Day Divine Renewal Program ($130) for their own.

What Could Be More Romantic than L’Occitane en Provence’s Pivoine Flora Collection This Valentine’s Day! (Review)

*Disclaimer:  This post has been compensated through a free product (s) or monetary payment.  Opinions are solely mine. All links are "no-follow" links.**
L'Occitane en Provence's Pivoine Flora Beauty Cream
L'Occitane en Provence's Pivoine Flora Beauty Cream

Though an inanimate object, a fragrance can say so much.  Just like people, there are bold scents that can be daring, perhaps, a bit loud while others are strong enough to shout.  Others can be joyous and so full of bright energy that you can almost feel that burst of happiness. Still, others are so beautiful in the aura of glamour or confidence they radiate that you can’t help but admire them.  If any can initiate romance and set a mood, it is through L’Occitane en Provence’s captivating Pivoine Flora Collection for some Valentine’s Day magic.

The ideal way to begin is by lavishing all over first with some luxurious, but light Pivoine Flora Beauty Cream ($38) before you dress for that perfect evening. The alluring scent of peonies on your silky smooth skin entices enough to set the stage to bewitch your Valentine, who will have a hard time from wanting to caress your perfumed skin.

Since I think you would want to guarantee you’re the only one Valentine would see, I think the Pivoine Shimmering Oil ($36) is well called for.  This fragrant floral oil with a bit of shimmer is just what you need in a few appropriate spots like bare shoulders or cleavage to keep your love’s eyes riveted.  Do I need to say more?
L'Occitane en Provence's Pivoine Flora Shimmering Oil
L'Occitane en Provence's Pivoine Flora Shimmering Oil

Next, I would reach for my Pivoine Flora Eau de Parfum ($62) because this heady floral is the elixir of the initial products that will reel that Valentine in, but good.  With top notes of grapefruit, bergamot against green notes, the fragrance is fresh and yet bright like excited anticipation. The heart unfolds with an avalanche of peonies not to be undone by the sheer beauty of magnolia and violet.  Yet the base notes of luscious vanilla, earthy musk and haunting cedar are what ignites the mix into the perfect blend of femininity and seductress that will work for you every time.

In keeping that romantic mood going, I recommend lighting a Pivoine Flora Romantic Candle ($35) to set the tone of the evening.  The sweet aroma of the peony blossoms in the air is so beautifully intoxicating that it will drive your Valentine crazy with the need to pull you closer just to get more of that captivating scent for one promising night.

With L'Occitane en Provence's Pivoine Flora products mentioned here, take my word that your Valentine's Day promises to be unforgettable!   These are definite winners!
